RuII–bis‐pyridine complexes typically absorb below 450 nm in the UV spectrum and their molar extinction coefficients are only moderate (ε<16 000 M ?1 cm?1). Thus, RuII–polyimine complexes that show intense visible‐light absorptions are of great interest. However, no effective light‐harvesting ruthenium(II)/organic chromophore arrays have been reported. Herein, we report the first visible‐light‐harvesting RuII–coumarin arrays, which absorb at 475 nm (ε up to 63 300 M ?1 cm?1, 4‐fold higher than typical RuII–polyimine complexes). The donor excited state in these arrays is efficiently converted into an acceptor excited state (i.e., efficient energy‐transfer) without losses in the phosphorescence quantum yield of the acceptor. Based on steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy and DFT calculations, we proposed a general rule for the design of RuII–polypyridine–chromophore light‐harvesting arrays, which states that the 1IL energy level of the ligand must be close to the respective energy level of the metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (M LCT) states. Lower energy levels of 1IL/3IL than the corresponding 1M LCT/3M LCT states frustrate the cascade energy‐transfer process and, as a result, the harvested light energy cannot be efficiently transferred to the acceptor. We have also demonstrated that the light‐harvesting effect can be used to improve the upconversion quantum yield to 15.2 % (with 9,10‐diphenylanthracene as a triplet‐acceptor/annihilator), compared to the parent complex without the coumarin subunit, which showed an upconversion quantum yield of only 0.95 %.  相似文献

Cytochromes P450 can catalyze various regioselective and stereospecific oxidation reactions of non‐functionalized hydrocarbons. Here, we have designed a novel light‐driven platform for cofactor‐free, whole‐cell P450 photo‐biocatalysis using eosin Y (EY) as a photosensitizer. EY can easily enter into the cytoplasm of Escherichia coli and bind specifically to the heme domain of P450. The catalytic turnover of P450 was mediated through the direct transfer of photoinduced electrons from the photosensitized EY to the P450 heme domain under visible light illumination. The photoactivation of the P450 catalytic cycle in the absence of cofactors and redox partners is successfully conducted using many bacterial P450s (variants of P450 BM3) and human P450s (CYPs 1A1, 1A2, 1B1, 2A6, 2E1, and 3A4) for the bioconversion of different substrates, including marketed drugs (simvastatin, lovastatin, and omeprazole) and a steroid (17β‐estradiol), to demonstrate the general applicability of the light‐driven, cofactor‐free system.  相似文献

Extensive applications for photodetectors have led to demand for high‐responsivity polarization‐sensitive light detection. Inspired by the elaborate architecture of butterfly Papilio paris, a 1D nanograting bonded porous 2D photonic crystal perovskite photodetector (G‐PC‐PD) using a commercial DVD master and 2D crystalline colloidal arrays template was fabricated. The coupling effect from grating diffraction and reflection of the PC stopband renders the enhanced light harvesting of G‐PC‐PD. The porous scaffold and nanoimprinting process afford a highly crystalline perovskite film. White light responsivity and detectivity of G‐PC‐PD are up to 12.67 A W?1 and 3.22×1013 Jones (6~7 times that of a pristine perovskite photodetector). The highly ordered nanograting arrays of G‐PC‐PD enable polarization‐sensitive light detection with a rate of ?0.72 nA deg?1. This hierarchical perovskite integrated nanograting and 2D PC architecture opens a new avenue to high‐performance optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Cyclometalated IrIII complexes with acetylide ppy and bpy ligands were prepared (ppy=2‐phenylpyridine, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) in which naphthal ( Ir‐2 ) and naphthalimide (NI) were attached onto the ppy ( Ir‐3 ) and bpy ligands ( Ir‐4 ) through acetylide bonds. [Ir(ppy)3] ( Ir‐1 ) was also prepared as a model complex. Room‐temperature phosphorescence was observed for the complexes; both neutral and cationic complexes Ir‐3 and Ir‐4 showed strong absorption in the visible range (ε=39600 M ?1 cm?1 at 402 nm and ε=25100 M ?1 cm?1 at 404 nm, respectively), long‐lived triplet excited states (τT=9.30 μs and 16.45 μs) and room‐temperature red emission (λem=640 nm, Φp=1.4 % and λem=627 nm, Φp=0.3 %; cf. Ir‐1 : ε=16600 M ?1 cm?1 at 382 nm, τem=1.16 μs, Φp=72.6 %). Ir‐3 was strongly phosphorescent in non‐polar solvent (i.e., toluene), but the emission was completely quenched in polar solvents (MeCN). Ir‐4 gave an opposite response to the solvent polarity, that is, stronger phosphorescence in polar solvents than in non‐polar solvents. Emission of Ir‐1 and Ir‐2 was not solvent‐polarity‐dependent. The T1 excited states of Ir‐2 , Ir‐3 , and Ir‐4 were identified as mainly intraligand triplet excited states (3IL) by their small thermally induced Stokes shifts (ΔEs), nanosecond time‐resolved transient difference absorption spectroscopy, and spin‐density analysis. The complexes were used as triplet photosensitizers for triplet‐triplet annihilation (TTA) upconversion and quantum yields of 7.1 % and 14.4 % were observed for Ir‐2 and Ir‐3 , respectively, whereas the upconversion was negligible for Ir‐1 and Ir‐4 . These results will be useful for designing visible‐light‐harvesting transition‐metal complexes and for their applications as triplet photosensitizers for photocatalysis, photovoltaics, TTA upconversion, etc.  相似文献

A series of 1‐(2,6‐dibenzhydryl‐4‐fluorophenylimino)‐ 2‐aryliminoacenaphthylene derivatives ( L1–L5 ) and their halonickel complexes LNiX2 (X = Br, Ni1–Ni5 ; X = Cl, Ni6–Ni10 ) are synthesized and well characterized. The molecular structures of representative complexes Ni2 and Ni4 are confirmed as the distorted tetrahedron geometry around nickel atom by the single crystal X‐ray diffraction. Upon activation with methylaluminoxane, all nickel complexes show high activities up to 1.49 × 107 g of PE (mol of Ni)?1 h?1 toward ethylene polymerization, producing polyethylenes with high branches and molecular weights up to 1.62 × 106 g mol?1 as well as narrow polydispersity. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of heteroleptic bis(tridentate) RuII complexes featuring N^C^N‐cyclometalating ligands is presented. The 1,2,3‐triazole‐containing tridentate ligands are readily functionalized with hydrophobic side chains by means of click chemistry and the corresponding cyclometalated RuII complexes are easily synthesized. The performance of these thiocyanate‐free complexes in a dye‐sensitized solar cell was tested and a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of up to 4.0 % (Jsc=8.1 mA cm?2, Voc=0.66 V, FF=0.70) was achieved, while the black dye ((NBu4)3[Ru(Htctpy)(NCS)3]; Htctpy=2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine‐4′‐carboxylic acid‐4,4′′‐dicarboxylate) showed 5.2 % (Jsc=10.7 mA cm?2, Voc=0.69 V, FF=0.69) under comparable conditions. When co‐adsorbed with chenodeoxycholic acid, the PCE of the best cyclometalated dye could be improved to 4.5 % (Jsc=9.4 mA cm?2, Voc=0.65 V, FF=0.70). The PCEs correlate well with the light‐harvesting capabilities of the dyes, while a comparable incident photon‐to‐current efficiency was achieved with the cyclometalated dye and the black dye. Regeneration appeared to be efficient in the parent dye, despite the high energy of the highest occupied molecular orbital. The device performance was investigated in more detail by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Ultimately, a promising RuII sensitizer platform is presented that features a highly functionalizable “click”‐derived cyclometalating ligand.  相似文献

Two phosphorescent dinuclear iridium(III) diastereomers (ΛΔ/ΔΛ) and (ΛΛ/ΔΔ) are readily separated by making use of their different solubilities in hot hexane. The bridging diarylhydrazide ligand plays an important role in the electrochemistry and photophysics of the complexes. Organic light‐emitting devices (OLEDs) that use these complexes as the green‐emissive dopants in solution‐processable single‐active‐layer architectures feature electroluminescence efficiencies that are remarkably high for dinuclear metal complexes, achieving maximum values of 37 cd A?1, 14 lm W?1, and 11 % external quantum efficiency.  相似文献

We herein describe the engineering of E. coli strains that display orthogonal tags for immobilization on their surface and overexpress a functional heterologous “protein content” in their cytosol at the same time. Using the outer membrane protein Lpp‐ompA, cell‐surface display of the streptavidin‐binding peptide, the SpyTag/SpyCatcher system, or a HaloTag variant allowed us to generate bacterial strains that can selectively bind to solid substrates, as demonstrated with magnetic microbeads. The simultaneous cytosolic expression of functional content was demonstrated for fluorescent proteins or stereoselective ketoreductase enzymes. The latter strains gave high selectivities for specific immobilization onto complementary surfaces and also in the whole‐cell stereospecific transformation of a prochiral CS‐symmetric nitrodiketone.  相似文献

The first solvent‐free cationic complexes of the divalent rare‐earth metals, [{RO}REII]+[A]? (REII=YbII, 1 ; EuII, 2 ) and [{LO}REII]+[A]? ([A]?=[H2N{B(C6F5)3}2]?; REII=YbII, 3 ; EuII, 4 ), have been prepared by using highly chelating monoanionic aminoether‐fluoroalkoxide ({RO}?) and aminoether‐phenolate ({LO}?) ligands. Complexes 1 and 2 are structurally related to their alkaline‐earth analogues [{RO}AE]+[A]? (AE=Ca, 5 ; Sr, 6 ). Yet, the two families behave very differently during catalysis of the ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of L ‐lactide (L ‐LA) and trimethylene carbonate (TMC) performed under immortal conditions with excess BnOH as an exogenous chain‐transfer agent. The ligand was found to strongly influence the behavior of the REII complexes during ROP catalysis. The fluoroalkoxide REII catalysts 1 and 2 are not oxidized under ROP conditions, and compare very favorably with their Ca and Sr congeners 5 and 6 in terms of activity (turnover frequency (TOF) in the range 200–400 molL‐LA (molEu h?1)) and control over the parameters during the immortal ROP of L ‐LA (Mn,theorMn,SEC, Mw/Mn<1.05). The EuII‐phenolate 4 provided one of the most effective ROP cationic systems known to date for L ‐LA polymerization, exhibiting high activity (TOF up to 1 880 molL‐LA?(molEu h)?1) and good control (Mw/Mn=1.05). By contrast, upon addition of L ‐LA the YbII‐phenolate 3 immediately oxidizes to inactive REIII species. Yet, the cyclic carbonate TMC was rapidly polymerized by combinations of 3 (or even 1 ) and BnOH, revealing excellent activities (TOF=5000–7000 molTMC?(molEu h)?1) and unusually high control (Mn,theorMn,SEC, Mw/Mn<1.09); under identical conditions, the calcium derivative 5 was entirely inert toward TMC. Based on experimental and kinetic data, a new ligand‐assisted activated monomer ROP mechanism is suggested, in which the so‐called ancillary ligand plays a crucial role in the catalytic cycle. A coherent reaction pathway computed by DFT, compatible with the experimental data, supports the proposed scenario.  相似文献

A heteroleptic bis(tributylphosphine) platinum(II)‐alkynyl complex ( Pt‐1 ) showing broadband visible‐light absorption was prepared. Two different visible‐light‐absorbing ligands, that is, ethynylated boron‐dipyrromethene (BODIPY) and a functionalized naphthalene diimide (NDI) were used in the molecule. Two reference complexes, Pt‐2 and Pt‐3 , which contain only the NDI or BODIPY ligand, respectively, were also prepared. The coordinated BODIPY ligand shows absorption at 503 nm and fluorescence at 516 nm, whereas the coordinated NDI ligand absorbs at 594 nm; the spectral overlap between the two ligands ensures intramolecular resonance energy transfer in Pt‐1 , with BODIPY as the singlet energy donor and NDI as the energy acceptor. The complex shows strong absorption in the region 450 nm–640 nm, with molar absorption coefficient up to 88 000 M ?1 cm?1. Long‐lived triplet excited states lifetimes were observed for Pt‐1 – Pt‐3 (36.9 μs, 28.3 μs, and 818.6 μs, respectively). Singlet and triplet energy transfer processes were studied by the fluorescence/phosphorescence excitation spectra, steady‐state and time‐resolved UV/Vis absorption and luminescence spectra, as well as nanosecond time‐resolved transient difference absorption spectra. A triplet‐state equilibrium was observed for Pt‐1 . The complexes were used as triplet photosensitizers for triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion, with upconversion quantum yields up to 18.4 % being observed for Pt‐1 .  相似文献

We report fast, high‐yield syntheses of a series of [Pt(CN)(HCN)X] complexes, where HCN is 2‐phenylpyridine (Hppy) or 2‐p‐tolylpyridine (Htopy) and X? is Cl?, Br?, I?, ONO2?, NO2? or SCN?. The structure of [Pt(topy)(Htopy)(ONO2)] was analyzed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Substitution of Cl? with Br? or I? in our complexes shifted the 195Pt NMR peaks upfield in the order Cl? < Br? < I?, but the magnitudes of their shifts were one‐tenth those observed for non‐cyclometalated platinum(II) complexes. As the two nitrato complexes showed strong emissions in acetonitrile solution—three to six times those of other complexes—they were used to fabricate OLEDs. Although their emissions were not particularly strong, devices fabricated with platinum(II) complexes containing bulky ligands emitted green light with a short lifetime (τ). Photosynthesis is a process wherein the chromophores in plants and bacteria absorb light and convert it into chemical energy. To mimic this process, an emissive poly(ethylene glycol)‐decorated tetragonal prismatic platinum(II) cage was prepared and used as the donor molecule to construct a light‐harvesting system in water. Eosin Y was chosen as the acceptor because of its good spectral overlap with that of the metallacage, which is essential for the preparation of light‐harvesting systems. Such a combination showed enhanced catalytic activity in catalyzing the cross‐coupling hydrogen evolution reaction, as compared with eosin Y alone. This study offers a pathway for using the output energy from the light‐harvesting system to mimic the whole photosynthetic process.  相似文献

Open‐circuit photovoltage (Voc ) is among the critical parameters for achieving an efficient light‐to‐charge conversion in existing solar photovoltaic devices. Natural photosynthesis exploits light‐harvesting chlorophyll (Chl) protein complexes to transfer sunlight energy efficiently. We describe the exploitation of photosynthetic fucoxanthin‐chlorophyll protein (FCP) complexes for realizing photoelectrochemical cells with a high Voc . An antenna‐dependent photocurrent response and a Voc up to 0.72 V are observed and demonstrated in the bio‐photovoltaic devices fabricated with photosynthetic FCP complexes and TiO2 nanostructures. Such high Voc is determined by fucoxanthin in FCP complexes, and is rarely found in photoelectrochemical cells with other natural light‐harvesting antenna. We think that the FCP‐based bio‐photovoltaic conversion will provide an opportunity to fabricate environmental benign photoelectrochemical cells with high Voc , and also help improve the understanding of the essential physics behind the light‐to‐charge conversion in photosynthetic complexes.  相似文献

Four new unsymmetric platinum(II) bis(aryleneethynylene) derivatives have been designed and synthesized, which showed good light‐harvesting capabilities for application as photosensitizers in dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The absorption, electrochemical, time‐dependent density functional theory (TD‐DFT), impedance spectroscopic, and photovoltaic properties of these platinum(II)‐based sensitizers have been fully characterized. The optical and TD‐DFT studies show that the incorporation of a strongly electron‐donating group significantly enhances the absorption abilities of the complexes. The maximum absorption wavelength of these four organometallic dyes can be tuned by various structural modifications of the triphenylamine and/or thiophene electron donor, improving the light absorption range up to 650 nm. The photovoltaic performance of these dyes as photosensitizers in mesoporous TiO2 solar cells was investigated, and a power conversion efficiency as high as 1.57 % was achieved, with an open‐circuit voltage of 0.59 V, short‐circuit current density of 3.63 mA cm?2, and fill factor of 0.73 under simulated AM 1.5G solar illumination.  相似文献

A series of trichlorotitanium complexes containing 2‐(1‐(arylimino)propyl)quinolin‐8‐olates was synthesized by stoichiometric reaction of titanium tetrachloride with the corresponding potassium 2‐(1‐(arylimino)propyl)quinolin‐8‐olates and was fully characterized by elemental analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction study of representative complexes. All titanium complexes, when activated with methylaluminoxane, exhibited high catalytic activity toward ethylene polymerization [up to 1.15 × 106 g mol?1(Ti) h?1] and ethylene/α‐olefin copolymerization [up to 1.54 × 106 g mol?1 (Ti) h?1]. The incorporation of comonomer was confirmed to amount up to 2.82 mol % of 1‐hexene or 1.94 mol % of 1‐octene, respectively. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of blue‐light‐emitting oligo(fluorenyleneethynylenesilylene)s (OFESs) of the general formula HC?CRC?C(EC?CRC?C)mEC?CRC?CH (E = SiPh2, SiMe2, or SiMe2? SiMe2; m = 0–2; R = 9,9‐dihexylfluorene‐2,7‐diyl) and their phosphorescent platinum‐containing oligoynes and polyynes were synthesized and characterized. The solution properties and regiochemical structures of this new structural class of organosilicon‐based polyplatinayne polymers {trans‐[? Pt(PBu3)2C ?CRC?C(EC?CRC?C)mEC?CRC?C? ]n} were studied with IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 29Si, and 31P) spectroscopy. The optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra of these metallopolymers were examined and compared with their discrete oligomeric model complexes. Our studies led to a novel approach of using the sp3‐silyl moiety as a conjugation interrupter to limit the effective conjugation length in metal polyynes, which could boost the phosphorescence decay rates essential for light‐energy harvesting from the triplet excited state. The influence of the heavy platinum atom and the group 14 silyl unit possessing different side‐group substituents on the thermal and phosphorescence properties was investigated in detail. We also established the goal of studying the evolution of the lowest singlet and triplet excited states with chain length m of OFESs and the nature of E in these metallopolymers. This work indicated that the phosphorescence emission efficiency harnessed through the heavy‐atom effect of platinum in the main chain did not change very much with oligomer chain length m but generally decreased with the E group in the order SiMe2 > SiMe2? SiMe2 > SiPh2. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 44: 4804–4824, 2006  相似文献

Attempts are being made to overcome the resistance of tumour cells to platinum (Pt) drugs by the synthesis of new generations of Pt complexes, and it is important to find appropriate and simple methods for the characterization of those novel complexes. The additional applicability of such a method for the analysis of the interactions of metal complexes with biomolecules would be advantageous. Matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (MALDI‐TOFMS) seems to possess the capability to become this method of choice, since it could be applied to low‐mass complexes as well as for the analysis of large biomolecules. In this work the applicability of flavonoids – quercetin and rutin – as matrices for MALDI‐TOFMS analysis of dichlorido(ethylendiamine)platinum(II) ([PtCl2(en)]), dichlorido(diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) ([PtCl2(dach)]) and chloride (diethylenetriamine) palladium(II) chloride ([PdCl(dien)]Cl) complexes is demonstrated. Spectra of Pt(II) and Pd(II) complexes recorded in the presence of quercetin and rutin are rather simple: Pt(II) complexes generate [M+Na]+ or [M+K]+ions, whereas the investigated Pd(II) complex gives ions generated by the loss of one Cl? or HCl. Flavonoids give a relatively small number of well‐defined ions in the low‐mass region (at m/z 303.3 for quercetin and m/z 633.5 for rutin). Quercetin and rutin can be applied in much lower concentrations than other common MALDI matrices and require rather low laser intensity. We speculate that flavonoids stabilize the structures of the metal complexes and that they may be useful for the analysis of other biologically active metal complexes, thus implying their broader applicability. Two classes of pincer‐type PtII complexes containing tridentate N‐donor ligands ( 1 – 8 ) or C‐deprotonated N^C^N ligands derived from 1,3‐di(2‐pyridyl)benzene ( 10 – 13 ) and auxiliary N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand were synthesized. [Pt(trpy)(NHC)]2+ complexes 1 – 5 display green phosphorescence in CH2Cl2 (Φ: 1.1–5.3 %; τ: 0.3–1.0 μs) at room temperature. Moderate‐to‐intense emissions are observed for 1 – 7 in glassy solutions at 77 K and for 1 – 6 in the solid state. The [Pt(N^C^N)(NHC)]+ complexes 10 – 13 display strong green phosphorescence with quantum yields up to 65 % in CHCl3. The reactions of 1 with a wide variety of anions were examined in various solvents. The tridentate N‐donor ligand of 1 undergoes displacement reaction with CN? in protic solvents. Similar displacement of the N^C^N ligand by CN? has been observed for 10 , leading to a luminescence “switch‐off” response. The water‐soluble 7 containing anthracenyl‐functionalized NHC ligand acts as a light “switch‐on” sensor for the detection of CN? ion with high selectivity. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the PtII complexes towards HeLa cells has been evaluated. Complex 12 showed high cytotoxicity with IC50 value of 0.46 μM , whereas 1 – 4 and 6 – 8 are less cytotoxic. The cellular localization of the strongly luminescent complex 12 traced by using emission microscopy revealed that it mainly localizes in the cytoplasmic structures rather than in the nucleus. This complex can induce mitochondria dysfunction and subsequent cell death.  相似文献

A series of directly mesomeso‐linked Pd–porphyrin oligomers (PdDTP‐M, PdDTP‐D, and PdDTP‐T) have been prepared. The absorption region and the light‐harvesting ability of the Pd–porphyrin oligomers are broadened and enhanced by increasing the number of Pd–porphyrin units. Triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion (TTA‐UC) systems were constructed by utilizing the Pd–porphyrin oligomers as the sensitizer and 9,10‐diphenylanthracene (DPA) as the acceptor in deaerated toluene and green‐to‐blue photon upconversion was observed upon excitation with a 532 nm laser. The triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion quantum efficiencies were found to be 6.2 %, 10.5 %, and 1.6 % for the [PdDTP‐M]/DPA, [PdDTP‐D]/DPA, and [PdDTP‐T]/DPA systems, respectively, under an excitation power density of 500 mW cm?2. The photophysical processes of the TTA‐UC systems have been investigated in detail. The higher triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion quantum efficiency observed in the [PdDTP‐D]/DPA system can be rationalized by the enhanced light‐harvesting ability of PdDTP‐D at 532 nm. Under the same experimental conditions, the [PdDTP‐D]/DPA system produces more 3DPA* than the other two TTA‐UC systems, benefiting the triplet–triplet annihilation process. This work provides a useful way to develop efficient TTA‐UC systems with broad spectral response by using Pd–porphyrin oligomers as sensitizers.  相似文献

This paper describes the results obtained in the development of the first electrochemical immunosensor described to date for the detection of E‐cadherin (E‐cad) protein, a relevant biomarker of prognosis and metastasis in cancer, based on the use of magnetic microcarriers (MBs) and amperometric transduction at screen‐printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs). Thus, the determination of E‐cad protein involved the use of two specific antibodies against this protein (one of them labelled with HRP) in a sandwich configuration onto HOOC‐MBs. The magnetic bioconjugates were captured onto SPCEs and the amperometric transduction was performed using the H2O2/hydroquinone (HQ) system. Under optimal conditions, this bioplatform demonstrated a wide linear concentration range (0.50–25 ng mL?1) and a detection limit as low as 0.16 ng mL?1, well below the optimal cut‐off level for the E‐cad protein (defined as 10,000 ng mL?1 for soluble E‐cad levels in serum). The developed sensor also showed a good reproducibility among measurements with seven different sensors constructed in the same manner (RSD, 5.4 %), stability for more than 15 days and good specificity towards other proteins commonly found on biological samples. The applicability of this simple handling bioplatform for the direct determination of this protein in cell lysates with different metastatic potential and extracts from paraffined‐embedded human colorectal cancer tissues of different grade were also demonstrated.  相似文献
