We study the production of bileptons, new gauge bosons of lepton number two, in the minimal 3-3-1 model in high energy collisions. If the bilepton masses are in the range of 300 GeV the reaction will give observable cross-sections in future colliders.Received: 5 August 2003, Published online: 23 March 2004Dang Van Soa: On leave of absence from Department of Physics, Hanoi University of Education, Hanoi, VietnamHoang Ngoc Long: On leave of absence from Institute of Physics, NCST, P.O. In this work, the reaction ${\pi }^{-}p\to {K}^{* }{{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* }$ is investigated with an effective Lagrangian approach. The contributions from the Born terms, including the s, t, and u channel, are considered, and the Regge model and the Feynman model are applied to treat the t -channel contribution. The existing experimental data can be reproduced with the best-fitted χ 2 being 2.38 and 1.54 for the Feynman and Regge models, respectively. Moreover, it is found that the contribution from the t channel is dominant in the cross-section. The contribution of the u channel is mainly distributed at backward angles, and the contribution from the s channel is small and negligible. In the Feynman model, the contribution of the t -channel K exchange is much larger than the contribution of the ${K}^{* }$ exchange, while in the Regge model the contribution of the t -channel K exchange is comparable to that of the ${K}^{* }$ exchange. Prediction about the differential cross-section of the ${\pi }^{-}p\to {K}^{* }{{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* }$ reaction is also presented, which is helpful for clarifying the role of the Regge treatment. The current results suggest high-precision experimental measurements which can be performed at J-PARC and COMPASS.  相似文献

We compute the one-loop -functions describing the renormalisation of the coupling constant and the frequency parameter for the real four-dimensional duality-covariant non-commutative -model, which is renormalisable to all orders. The contribution from the one-loop four-point function is reduced by the one-loop wavefunction renormalisation, but the -function remains non-negative. Both and vanish at the one-loop level for the duality-invariant model characterised by . Moreover, also vanishes in the limit , which defines the standard non-commutative -quantum field theory. Thus, the limit exists at least at the one-loop level.Received: 19 March 2004, Published online: 5 May 2004  相似文献

We propose a constituent quark model to evaluate heavy decay constants and form factors relevant for semileptonic transitions. We show that the model reproduces the scaling laws dictated by the spin-flavor symmetry in the heavy quark limit and describes quite well the experimental data.Received: 29 December 2004, Published online: 21 February 2005  相似文献

In the symplectic Lagrangian framework we in a new fashion embed an irreducible massive vector-tensor theory into a gauge invariant system, which has become reducible, by extending the configuration space to include an additional pair of scalar and vector fields, which give the desired Wess-Zumino action. A comparison with the BFT Hamiltonian embedding approach is also given.Received: 13 January 2004, Published online: 16 March 2004  相似文献

We present a complete one-loop study of the process and the predicted cross section in a Linear Collider. A suitable numerical code, PLATONlc, valid for any set of real MSSM parameters, is released. This study and code are complementary to those suitable for dark matter detection through the inverse process describing neutralino-neutralino annihilation at rest, which were presented previously. If SUSY is realized in nature, both codes should be very helpful in future astrophysical and collider studies of the neutralino sector.Received: 6 November 2003, Published online: 9 January 2004Programme dActions Intégrées Franco-Hellenique, Platon 04100 UM.  相似文献

We provide a construction procedure for complex root spaces invariant under antilinear transformations, which may be applied to any Coxeter group. The procedure is based on the factorisation of a chosen element of the Coxeter group into two factors. Each of the factors constitutes an involution and may therefore be deformed in an antilinear fashion. Having the importance of the E 8-Coxeter group in mind, such as underlying a particular perturbation of the Ising model and the fact that for it no solution could be found previously, we exemplify the procedure for this particular case. As a concrete application of this construction we propose new generalisations of Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models and affine Toda field theories based on the invariant complex root spaces and deformed complex simple roots, respectively.  相似文献

Results of a new analysis of the K + K- photoproduction at two photon energies, and , with a particular emphasis on the S-wave production are presented. We show that the proper treatment of all the helicity components of the S- and P-waves enables one to eliminate the reported discrepancies in the extraction of the S-wave photoproduction cross section from the experimental data.Received: 28 August 2003, Revised: 3 February 2004, Published online: 23 March 2004  相似文献

Two photon collisions at high energy have an important theoretical advantage: the simplicity of the initial state, which gives us a unique opportunity to calculate these processes for large virtualities of both photons in the perturbative QCD approach. In this paper we study QCD saturation in two photon collisions in the framework of the Glauber-Mueller approach. The Glauber-Mueller formula is derived emphasising the impact parameter dependence (bt) of the dipole-dipole amplitude. It is shown that non-perturbative QCD contributions are needed to describe the large b t behaviour, and the way how to deal with them is suggested. Our approach can be viewed as the model for the saturation in which the entire impact parameter dependence is determined by the initial conditions. The unitarity bound for the total cross section, its energy dependence as well as predictions for future experiments are discussed. It is argued that the total cross section increases faster than any power of in a wide range of energy or x, namely -, where reflects the x dependence of the gluon density and is the pion mass. In the resonance region we have precisely determined the electromagnetic properties of the -resonance, in particular the E2/M1 ratio . For pion electroproduction recent experimental data from Mainz, Bates, Bonn and JLab for Q2 up to 4.0 (GeV/c)2 have been analyzed with the isobar model MAID. The extracted E2/M1 ratio shows, starting from a small and negative value at the real photon point, a clear tendency to cross zero, and becomes positive with increasing Q2. This is a possible indication of a very slow approach toward the pQCD region. The C2/M1 ratio near the photon point is found as . At high Q2, the absolute value of the ratio is strongly increasing, a further indication that pQCD is not yet reached. The electromagnetic-transition form factors of the excitation are parameterized and fitted to the electroproduction data. This also shows a zero-crossing of the electric form factor GE* at (GeV/c)2.Received: 1 November 2002, Published online: 15 July 2003PACS:   13.40.Gp Electromagnetic form factors - 13.60.Le Meson production - 14.20.Gk Baryon resonances with S=0 - 25.20.Lj Photoproduction reactions  相似文献

Searches for resonant production in e + e - collisions under the assumption that R-parity is not conserved and that the dominant R-parity violating coupling is or used data recorded by DELPHI in 1997 to 2000 at centre-of-mass energies of 183 to 208 GeV. No deviation from the Standard Model was observed. Upper limits are given for the and couplings as a function of the sneutrino mass and total width. The limits are especially stringent for sneutrino masses equal to the centre-of-mass energies with the highest integrated luminosities recorded. We show which multi-trace structures are compatible with the symmetrisation of local operators in \( \mathcal{N} = 4 \) super Yang-Mills when they are organised into representations of the global symmetry group. Cut-and-join operators give the non-planar expansion of correlation functions of these operators in the free theory. Using these techniques we find the 1/N corrections to the quarter-BPS operators which remain protected at weak coupling. We also present a new way of counting these chiral ring operators using the Weyl group S N .  相似文献
