本文讨论了一个在分支值线性部分具两个零特征根且只有一个Jordan块,而非线性项为5次的平面向量场,得到了完整的轨线分支图。本文引入的讨论判断函数性质的方法具有一般性,因而也将适用于具更高次退化的非线性情况的研究。  相似文献

In this paper, we study the impact of geodesic vector fields (vector fields whose trajectories are geodesics) on the geometry of a Riemannian manifold. Since, Killing vector fields of constant lengths on a Riemannian manifold are geodesic vector fields, leads to the question of finding sufficient conditions for a geodesic vector field to be Killing. In this paper, we show that a lower bound on the Ricci curvature of the Riemannian manifold in the direction of geodesic vector field gives a sufficient condition for the geodesic vector field to be Killing. Also, we use a geodesic vector field on a 3-dimensional complete simply connected Riemannian manifold to find sufficient conditions to be isometric to a 3-sphere. We find a characterization of an Einstein manifold using a Killing vector field. Finally, it has been observed that a major source of geodesic vector fields is provided by solutions of Eikonal equations on a Riemannian manifold and we obtain a characterization of the Euclidean space using an Eikonal equation.  相似文献

Darboux's theorem and Jouanolou's theorem deal with the existence of first integrals and rational first integrals of a polynomial vector field. These results are given in terms of the degree of the polynomial vector field. Here we show that we can get the same kind of results if we consider the size of a Newton polytope associated to the vector field. Furthermore, we show that in this context the bound is optimal.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the stability and global asymptotical stability of the solu- tion of It? random differeirtial equation \[\left\{ \begin{array}{l} d\xi (t) = b(\xi (t),t)dt + \sigma (\xi (t),t)dw(t)\\xi ({t_0}) = {\xi _0} \end{array} \right.\] here \({\xi _0}\) is a bounded random vector. Suffloient conditions for the existence of the two typical stability are given. These conditions are natural extension of Lyapunov function in deterministic system. Our results extend some results due to Friedman, and pinsky (see[l]). We suggest an opinion about definition of asymptotical stability of solution of the following It? random differential equation \[\left\{ \begin{array}{l} d\xi (t) = b(\xi (t)dt + \sigma (\xi (t))dw(t)\\xi ({t_0}) = {x_0} \end{array} \right.\] where \({x_0}\) is a point of n-dimensional Eiiolidian space.  相似文献

Y-Riemannian metric gY is an important tool in Finsler geometry, where Y is a smooth non-zero vector field on Finsler manifold. If Y is a geodesic field, it is very effective to study flag curvature using Y-Riemann metric. In this paper, using a special Y-Riemann metric ( that is, so called v-Riemann metric ), we study hyperspheres in a Minkowski space and give some characteristics of hyperspheres in a Minkowski space.  相似文献

辛算法和保能量算法是应用最为广泛的两种保结构算法.本文从相位误差的角度给出了他们的比较结果.我们针对线性动力系统,分别分析了基于Pade对角逼近给出的辛算法和基于平均向量场法得到的能量守恒算法的相位误差,并通过数值验证了分析结果.文章还给出了保结构算法相位误差的改进方法,并通过数值例子验证了方法的有效性.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the stability of the characteristic vector field of a compact K-contact manifold with respect to the energy and volume functionals when we consider on the manifold a two-parameter variation of the metric. First of all, we multiply the metric in the direction of the characteristic vector field by a constant and then we change the metric by homotheties. We will study to what extent the results obtained in [V. Borrelli, Stability of the characteristic vector field of a Sasakian manifold, Soochow J. Math. 30 (2004) 283-292. Erratum on the article: Stability of the characteristic vector field of a Sasakian manifold, Soochow J. Math. 32 (2006) 179-180] for Sasakian manifolds are valid for a general K-contact manifold. Finally, as an example, we will study the stability of Hopf vector fields on Berger spheres when we consider homotheties of Berger metrics.  相似文献

It is known that a conformal vector field on a compact Kaehler manifold is a Killing vector field. In this paper, we are interested in finding conditions under which a conformal vector field on a non-compact Kaehler manifold is Killing. First we prove that a harmonic analytic conformal vector field on a 2n-dimensional Kaehler manifold (n ≠ 2) of constant nonzero scalar curvature is Killing. It is also shown that on a 2n-dimensional Kaehler Einstein manifold (n > 1) an analytic conformal vector field is either Killing or else the Kaehler manifold is Ricci flat. In particular, it follows that on non-flat Kaehler Einstein manifolds of dimension greater than two, analytic conformal vector fields are Killing.  相似文献

We study Riemannian manifolds, subject to a prescribed symmetry inheritance, defined by L=2, where , ga, and L are geometric/physical object, function, and Lie derivative operator with respect to a vector field . In this paper, we set =Riemann curvature tensor or Ricci tensor and obtain several new results relevant to physically significant material curves, proper conformai and proper nonconformal symmetries. In particular, we concentrate on a time-like Ricci inheritance vector parallel to the velocity vector of a perfect fluid spaced me. We claim new and physically relevant equations of state. All key results are supported by physical examples, including the Friedman-Robertson-Walker universe models. In general, this paper opens a new area of research on symmetry inheritance with a potential for further applications in mathematical physics.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors prove that the flows of homogeneous vector field $Q(x)$ at infinity are topologically equivalent to the flows of the tangent vector field $Q_T(u)$ $(u\in S^2)$ on the sphere $S^2$, and show the theorems for the global topological classification of $Q(x)$. They derive the necessary and sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability and the boundedness of vector field $Q(x),$ and obtain the criterion for the global topological equivalence of two homogeneous vector fields.  相似文献

A local field is any locally compact, non-discrete field other than the field of real numbers or the field of complex numbers. There is a natural notion of Gaussian measures on a local field vector space. We construct and study a specific local field Gaussian stochastic process taking values in a finite dimensional local field vector space and indexed by another finite dimensional local field vector space. This process has a structure that strongly reflects the algebraic and geometric structure of the underlying index space and, as such, plays the same role in the local field setting that standard Brownian motion and the related multiparameter processes such as Lévy's multiparameter Brownian motion play in a Euclidean context. We investigate the theory of additive functionals and the related potential theory for this process and show that it strongly resembles the Euclidean prototype. As a particular consequence of this investigation, we find that a local time process exists when the process hits points. We give two intrinsic constructions of the local time at a given level. These constructions are analogous to the dilation construction of Kingman and the Hausdorff measure construction of Taylor and Wendel in the Euclidean case. Finally, the local time is shown to be continuous as a measure valued stochastic process indexed by the levèl at which it is evaluated.Research supported in part by an NSF Grant and Presidential Young Investigator Award.  相似文献

Vector field reconstruction is a problem arising in many scientific applications. In this paper, we study a div-curl approximation of vector fields by pseudo-polyharmonic splines. This leads to the variational smoothing and interpolating spline problems with minimization of an energy involving the curl and the divergence of the vector field. The relationship between the div-curl energy and elastic energy is established. Some examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our approach for a vector field reconstruction.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the affine vector fields on both compact and forward complete Finsler manifolds. We first give definitions of the affine transformation and the affine vector field. Unexpectedly, we find two kinds of affine fields, which are named as the strongly and weakly affine vector fields. Based on these definitions, we prove some rigidity theorems of affine fields on compact and forward complete Finsler manifolds.  相似文献

It is well-known that if we have an approximate eigenvalue λ- of a normal matrix A of order n,a good approximation to the corresponding eigenvector u can be computed by one inverse iteration provided the position,say kmax,of the largest component of u is known.In this paper we give a detailed theoretical analysis to show relations between the eigenvecor u and vector xk,k=1,…,n,obtained by simple inverse iteration,i.e.,the solution to the system(A-λI)x=ek with ek the kth column of the identity matrix I.We prove that under some weak conditions,the index kmax is of some optimal properties related to the smallest residual and smallest approximation error to u in spectral norm and Frobenius norm.We also prove that the normalized absolute vector v=|u|/||u||∞ of u can be approximated by the normalized vector of (||x1||2,…||xn||2)^T,We also give some upper bounds of |u(k)| for those “optimal“ indexeds such as Fernando‘s heuristic for kmax without any assumptions,A stable double orthogonal factorization method and a simpler but may less stable approach are proposed for locating the largest component of u.  相似文献
