The absorption cross section of the Einstein-Maxwell Dilaton Axion (EMDA) black hole for Dirac particles is investigated. It is shown that the absorption cross section decreases as both the v and the absolute value of the dilaton increase, but it increases as the mass of the particle increases. It is also shown that the absorption cross section for the massless Dirac particles is 1/8 of the area of the horizon, which may be an universal property for minimally coupled massless Dirac particles.  相似文献

The massless scalar quasinormal modes (QNMs) of a stationary axisymmetric Einstein--Maxwell dilaton--axion (EMDA) black hole are calculated numerically using the continued fraction method first proposed by Leaver. The fundamental quasinormal frequencies (slowly damped QNMs) are obtained and the peculiar behaviours of them are studied. It is shown that these frequencies depend on the dilaton parameter $D$, the rotational parameter $a$, the multiple moment $l$ and the azimuthal number $m$, and have the same values with other authors at the Schwarzschild and Kerr limit.  相似文献

A recent study shows that Hawking radiation of a massless scalar field does not appear on the two-dimensional AdS2 black hole background. We shall study this issue by calculating absorption and reflection coefficients under dilaton coupling with the matter field. If the scalar field does not couple to the dilaton, then it is fully absorbed into the black hole without any outgoing mode. On the other hand, once it couples to the dilaton field, the outgoing mode of the massless scalar field exists, and the nontrivial Hawking radiation appears. Finally, we comment on this dilaton dependence of Hawking radiation in connection with a three-dimensional black hole.  相似文献

We consider scale invariant theories which couple gravity to Maxwell fields and antisymmetric tensor fields with a dilaton field. We exhibit in a unified way solutions representing black hole, space-time membrane, vortex and cosmological solutions. Their physical properties depend sensitively on the coupling constant of the dilaton field, there being critical value separating qualitatively different types of behaviour, e.g. the temperature of a charged black hole in the extreme limit. It is also shown that compactification into the 4-dimensional Minkowski space in terms of a membrane solution is possible in 10-dimensional supergravity model.  相似文献

It has been shown recently that information is lost in the Hawking radiation of the linear dilaton black holes in various theories when applying the tunneling formalism of Parikh and Wilczek without considering quantum gravity effects. In this paper, we recalculate the emission probability by taking into account the log-area correction to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy and the statistical correlation between quanta emitted. The crucial role of the quantum gravity effects on the information leakage and black hole remnant is highlighted. The entropy conservation of the linear dilaton black holes is discussed in detail. We also model the remnant as an extreme linear dilaton black hole with a pointlike horizon in order to show that such a remnant cannot radiate and its temperature becomes zero. In summary, we show that the information can also leak out of the linear dilaton black holes together with preserving unitarity in quantum mechanics.  相似文献

The (2+1)-dimensional Maxwell-Chern-Simons gravity with phantom dilaton field coupling is studied in this paper.It is shown that black hole solution to exist when electromagnetic coupled to dilaton field in the non-trivial way.Moreover,asymptotic index and distribution parameter of current density are calculated by using black hole solution,some new features of this solution are briefly discussed.  相似文献

By using Brown-York quasilocal energy theory we calculate the quasilocal energy of a stationary axisymmetic EMDA black hole and explore the universality of Martinez's conjecture in string theory. We show that the energy is positive and monotonically decreases to the ADM mass at spatial infinity, and the Martinez's conjecture, the Brown-York quasilocal energy at the outer horizon reduces to twice its irreducible mass, is still valid for stationary axisymmetric EMDA black hole. From the result we also find that the Kerr-Sen spacetime keeps up with Martinez's conjecture. This is different from the Bose-Naing result that the quasilocal energy of the Kerr-Sen spacetime does not approach the Martinez's conjecture.  相似文献

The absorption cross section for the warped AdS3 black hole background shows that it is larger than the area even if the s-wave limit is considered. It raises some question whether the deviation from the areal cross section is due to the warped configuration of the geometry or the rotating coordinate system, where these two effects are mixed up in the warped AdS3 black hole. So, we study the low-frequency scattering dynamics of propagating scalar fields under the warped AdS3 background at the critical point which reduces to the BTZ black hole in the rotating frame without the warped factor, which shows that the deformation effect at the critical point does not appear.  相似文献

By using the partial wave method,we investigate the absorption of a massless scalar wave from a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence.We obtained the expression of absorption cross section σabs(ω)=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)|Tωl(ω)|2=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)Γωl(ω).Then we numerically carry out the absorption cross section and we find that the larger the angular momentum quantum number l is,the smaller the corresponding maximum value of the partial absorption cross section is,and that the total absorption cross section tends to the geometric-optical limit σ hf abs ≈πb 2 c.We also find that higher value of ω q(state parameter of quintessence) corresponds to the higher value of absorption cross section σ abs.  相似文献

We research gravitational perturbation of Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger dilaton black hole and its quasinormal modes by using WKB approach proposed by Schutz, Will, Iyer and Konoplya. The quasinormal frequency with different angular momentum l is calculated in this paper. Our results show that, as the charge parameter b increase, both the real part and the absolute value of imaginary part of quasinormal frequency also increase, which means that the effect of charge in Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger dilaton background spacetime lead to higher frequency gravitational wave and the quasinormal modes damp at a rapider rate.  相似文献

We discuss the possible modification of Einstein's theory of gravitation due to the fifth force generated by the Kaluza-Klein dilaton. In particular we discuss the gravitational redshift, the deflection of light, the precession of perihelia, and the time-delay of radar echo around a spherically symmetric black hole in a 7-dimensional Kaluza-Klein unification which hasE 2 as the internal isometry. It is shown that the long-range effect of the higher-dimensional fifth force is characterized by the dilatonic charge carried by the black hole even when it is neutral.  相似文献

It is well known that Hawking radiation can be treated as a quantum tunneling process of particles from the event horizon of black hole. In this paper, we attempt to apply the massive vector bosons tunneling method to study the Hawking radiation from the non-rotating and rotating dilaton black holes. Starting with the Proca field equation that govern the dynamics of massive vector bosons, we derive the tunneling probabilities and radiation spectrums of the emitted vector bosons from the static spherical symmetric dilatonic black hole, the rotating Kaluza-Klein black hole, and the rotating Kerr-Sen black hole. Comparing the results with the blackbody spectrum, we satisfactorily reproduce the Hawking temperatures of these dilaton black holes, which are consistent with the previous results in the literature.  相似文献

We show that low-energy photon scattering from a body with radius R slightly larger than its Schwarzschild radius r s resembles black-hole absorption. This absorption occurs via capture resulting in one of the many long-lived, densely packed resonances that populate the continuum. The lifetimes and density of these meta-stable states tend to infinity in the limit r s R. We determine the energy-averaged cross section for particle capture into these resonances and show that it is equal to the absorption cross section for a Schwarzschild black hole. Thus a non-singular static metric may trap photons for arbitrarily long times, making it appear completely ‘black’ before the actual formation of a black hole.  相似文献

Motivated by the recent work of the hidden conformal symmetry of the Kerr black hole, we investigate the hidden conformal symmetry of a Kerr–Sen black hole and a Kerr–Newman–Kasuya black hole. Our result shows the conformal symmetry is spontaneously broken due to the periodicity of the azimuthal angle. The absorption across section is in consistence with the finite temperature absorption cross section for a 2D CFT. The entropies of the black holes are reproduced by the Cardy formula.  相似文献

We show in detail that the Hawking temperature calculated from the surface gravity is in agreement with the result of exact semi-classical radiation spectrum for higher dimensional linear dilaton black holes in various theories. We extend the method derived first by Clément–Fabris–Marques for 4-dimensional linear dilaton black hole solutions to the higher dimensions in theories such as Einstein–Maxwell dilaton, Einstein–Yang–Mills dilaton and Einstein–Yang–Mills–Born–Infeld dilaton. Similar to the Clément–Fabris–Marques results, it is proved that whenever an analytic solution is available to the massless scalar wave equation in the background of higher dimensional massive linear dilaton black holes, an exact computation of the radiation spectrum leads to the Hawking temperature THTH in the high frequency regime. The significance of the dimensionality on the value of THTH is shown, explicitly. For a chosen dimension, we demonstrate how higher dimensional linear dilaton black holes interpolate between the black hole solutions with Yang–Mills and electromagnetic fields by altering the Born–Infeld parameter in aspect of measurable quantity THTH. Finally, we explain the reason of, why massless higher dimensional linear dilaton black holes cannot radiate.  相似文献
