Abstract Let SO(n) act in the standard way on ℂn and extend this action in the usual way to ℂn+1 = ℂ ⊕ ℂn. It is shown that a nonsingular special Lagrangian submanifold L ⊂ ℂn+1 that is invariant under this SO(n)-action intersects the fixed ℂ ⊂ ℂn+1 in a nonsingular real-analytic arc A (which may be empty). If n > 2, then A has no compact component. Conversely, an embedded, noncompact nonsingular real-analytic arc A ⊂ ℂ lies in an embedded nonsingular special Lagrangian submanifold that is SO(n)-invariant. The same existence result holds for compact A if n = 2. If A is connected, there exist n distinct nonsingular SO(n)-invariant special Lagrangian extensions of A such that any embedded nonsingular SO(n)-invariant special Lagrangian extension of A agrees with one of these n extensions in some open neighborhood of A. The method employed is an analysis of a singular nonlinear PDE and ultimately calls on the work of Gérard and Tahara to prove the existence of the extension. * Project supported by Duke University via a research grant, the NSF via DMS-0103884, the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, and Columbia University. We consider the problem of approximating a given plurisubharmonic function by smooth plurisubharmonic functions. We propose a new constructive approximation method that permits one to obtain more detailed information about the approximating functions. Thus a functionu ∈ PSH(ℂ n ) having finite growth order can be approximated by smooth functionsv ∈ PSH(ℂ n ) so that the difference |v−u| has almost logarithmic growth (Theorem 2). It can also be approximated so that the difference |v−u| has a power-law growth; in this case, however, power-law estimates on |gradv| appear (Theorem 3). Results on finite determination and convergence of formal mappings between smooth generic submanifolds in ℂ N are established in this article. The finite determination result gibes sufficient conditions to guarantee that a formal map is uniquely determined by its jet, of a preassigned order, at a point. Convergence of formal mappings for real-analytic generic submanifolds under appropriate assumptions is proved, and natural geometric conditions are given to assure that if two germs of such submanifolds are formally equivalent, then, they are necessarily biholomorphically equivalent. It is also shown that if two real-algebraic hypersurfaces in ℂ N are biholomorphically equivalent, then, they are algebraically equivalent. All the results are first proved in the more general context of “reflection ideals” associated to formal mappings between formal as well as real-analytic and real-algebraic manifolds.  相似文献

Given a principal value convolution on the Heisenberg group H n = ℂ n × ℝ, we study the relation between its Laguerre expansion and the Fourier-Bessel expansion of its limit on ℂ n . We also calculate the Dirichlet kernel for the Laguerre expansion on the group H n . Dedicated to Professor Sheng GONG on the occasion of his 75th birthday  相似文献

The following result is proved: Let D and D′ be bounded domains in ℂ n , ∂D is smooth, real-analytic, simply connected, and ∂D′ is connected, smooth, real-algebraic. Then there exists a proper holomorphic correspondence f:DD′ if and only if there exist points p∈∂D and p′∈∂D′, such that ∂D and ∂D′ are locally CR-equivalent near p and p′. This leads to a characterization of the equivalence relationship between bounded domains in ℂ n modulo proper holomorphic correspondences in terms of local CR-equivalence of their boundaries.  We define the contact boundary of a complex polynomial f : ℂ n → ℂ as the intersection of some generic fiber with a large sphere. We show that, up to contact isotopy, this does not depend on the choice of the fiber (provided it is generic) and is invariant under polynomial automorphism of ℂ n . We next prove that the formal homotopy class of this contact boundary is invariant in a large family of deformations of polynomials, which are not necessarily topologically trivial. Let G be a linear algebraic group over C and P be a parabolic subgroup. We determine the signatures of the flag manifold G/P. As an application, we prove that the nonsingular hypersurfaces of degree 2 in CP^n are prime if n satisfies certain conditions.  相似文献

Let G be a discrete subgroup of PU(1,n). Then G acts on ℙ n preserving the unit ball ℍ n , where it acts by isometries with respect to the Bergman metric. In this work we look at its action on all of ℙ n and determine its equicontinuity region Eq(G). This turns out to be the complement of the union of all complex projective hyperplanes in ℙ n which are tangent to n at points in the Chen-Greenberg limit set Λ(G), a closed G-invariant subset of n which is minimal for non-elementary groups. We also prove that the action on Eq(G) is discontinuous. Also , if the limit set is “sufficiently general” (i.e. it is not contained in any proper k -chain), then each connected component of Eq(G) is a holomorphy domain and it is a complete Kobayashi hyperbolic space.  相似文献

We show that if the group of holomorphic automorphisms of a connected complex manifold M of dimension n is isomorphic as a topological group equipped with the compact-open topology to the automorphism group of the unit ball B n ⊂ ℂ n ,then M is biholomorphically equivalent to B n.  相似文献

A new technique of integral representations in ℂ n , which is different from the well-known Henkin technique, is given. By means of this new technique, a new integral formula for smooth functions and a new integral representation of solutions of the ∂-equations on strictly pseudoconvex domains in ℂ n are obtained. These new formulas are simpler than the classical ones, especially the solutions of the ∂-equations admit simple uniform estimates. Moreover, this new technique can be further applied to arbitrary bounded domains in ℂ n so that all corresponding formulas are simplified.  相似文献

LetB n be the unit ball of ℂn and ℤ ≅ Γ ⊂ AutB n be generated by a parabolic element of AutB n. We show that the quotientB n/Γ is biholomorphic to a holomorphically convex domain of ℂn, whose automorphism group is explicity described. It follows thatB n/ℤ is Stein for any free action of ℤ. In this paper, we consider the following Reinhardt domains. Let M = (M1, M2,..., Mn) : [0,1] → [0,1]^n be a C2-function and Mj(0) = 0, Mj(1) = 1, Mj″ 〉 0, C1jr^pj-1 〈 Mj′(r) 〈 C2jr^pj-1, r∈ (0, 1), pj 〉 2, 1 ≤ j ≤ n, 0 〈 C1j 〈 C2j be constants. Define

Then DM C^n is a convex Reinhardt domain. We give an extension theorem for a normalized biholomorphic convex mapping f : DM -→ C^n.  相似文献

We investigate the notion of CR transversality of a generic holomorphic map f: ℂ n → ℂ m to a smooth CR submanifold M of ℂ m . We construct a stratification of the set of non-CR transversal points in the preimage M′ = f −1 (M) by smooth submanifolds, consisting of points where the CR dimension of M′ is constant. We show the existence of a Whitney stratification for sets which are locally diffeomorphic to the product of an open set and an analytic set. Minimal, rigid foliations by curves on ℂℙ n   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We prove the existence of minimal and rigid singular holomorphic foliations by curves on the projective space ℂℙ n for every dimension n≥2 and every degree d≥2. Precisely, we construct a foliation ℱ which is induced by a homogeneous vector field of degree d, has a finite singular set and all the regular leaves are dense in the whole of ℂℙ n . Moreover, ℱ satisfies many additional properties expected from chaotic dynamics and is rigid in the following sense: if ℱ is conjugate to another holomorphic foliation by a homeomorphism sufficiently close to the identity, then these foliations are also conjugate by a projective transformation. Finally, all these properties are persistent for small perturbations of ℱ.?This is done by considering pseudo-groups generated on the unit ball 𝔹 n ⊆ℂ n by small perturbations of elements in Diff(ℂ n ,0). Under open conditions on the generators, we prove the existence of many pseudo-flows in their closure (for the C 0-topology) acting transitively on the ball. Dynamical features as minimality, ergodicity, positive entropy and rigidity may easily be derived from this approach. Finally, some of these pseudo-groups are realized in the transverse dynamics of polynomial vector fields in ℂℙ n . We establish sharp upper bounds on the (n−1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure of the zero (nodal) sets and on the maximal order of vanishing corresponding to eigenfunctions of a regular elliptic problem on a bounded domain Ω ⊆ ℝ n with real-analytic boundary. The elliptic operator may be of an arbitrary even order, and its coefficients are assumed to be real-analytic. This extends a result of Donnelly and Fefferman ([DF1], [DF3]) concerning upper bounds for nodal volumes of eigenfunctions corresponding to the Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds with boundary.  相似文献

It is proved in [8] that there exist no totally umbilical Lagrangian submanifolds in a complex-space-form ,n≥2, except the totally geodesic ones. In this paper we introduce the notion of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds which are the “simplest” Lagrangian submanifolds next to the totally geodesic ones in complex-space-forms. We show that for each Legendre curve in a 3-sphereS 3 (respectively, in a 3-dimensional antide Sitter space-timeH 1 3 ), there associates a LagrangianH-umbilical submanifold in ℂP n (respectively, in ℂH n ) via warped products. The main part of this paper is devoted to the classification of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in ℂP n and in ℂH n . Our classification theorems imply in particular that “except some exceptional classes”, LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds of ℂP n and of ℂH n are obtained from Legendre curves inS 3 or inH 1 3 via warped products. This provides us an interesting interaction of Legendre curves and LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in non-flat complex-space-forms. As an immediate by-product, our results provide us many concrete examples of LagrangianH-umbilical isometric immersions of real-space-forms into non-flat complex-space-forms.  相似文献

Letn=4 or 8. We prove that any Lagrangian embedding ofS n − 1 ×S 1 into ℂ n has a trivial linking class. We deduce that every embedding ofS 3 ×S 4 into ℂ4 is isotopic to a Lagrangian embedding. This is false ifn = 8.  相似文献

We study the recognition of -classes of multi-germs in families of corank-1 maps from n-space into n-space. From these recognition conditions we deduce certain geometric properties of bifurcation sets of such families of maps. As applications we give a formula for the number of -codimension-1 classes of corank-1 multi-germs from ℂ n to ℂ n and an upper bound for the number of stable projections of algebraic hypersurfaces in ℝ n +1 into hyperplanes.
