In this paper, we consider the strong Ekeland variational principle due to Georgiev [P.G. Georgiev, The strong Ekeland variational principle, the strong drop theorem and applications, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 131 (1988) 1–21]. We discuss it for functions defined on Banach spaces and on compact metric spaces. We also prove the τ-distance version of it.  相似文献

We establish a pre-order principle. From the principle, we obtain a very general set-valued Ekeland variational principle, where the objective function is a set-valued map taking values in a quasi-ordered linear space and the perturbation contains a family of set-valued maps satisfying certain property. From this general set-valued Ekeland variational principle, we deduce a number of particular versions of set-valued Ekeland variational principle, which include many known Ekeland variational principles, their improvements and some new results.  相似文献

In this paper we prove a quasi-metric version of Ekeland Variational Principle and study its connections with the completeness properties of the underlying quasi-metric space. In this paper we consider, for the first time, approximate Henig proper minimizers and approximate super minimizers of a set-valued map F with values in a partially ordered vector space and formulate two versions of the Ekeland variational principle for these points involving coderivatives in the sense of Ioffe, Clarke and Mordukhovich. As applications we obtain sufficient conditions for F to have a Henig proper minimizer or a super minimizer under the Palais-Smale type conditions. The techniques are essentially based on the characterizations of Henig proper efficient points and super efficient points by mean of the Henig dilating cones and the Hiriart-Urruty signed distance function.  相似文献

In my former paper "A pre-order principle and set-valued Ekeland variational principle"(see [J. Math. Anal. Appl., 419, 904–937(2014)]), we established a general pre-order principle.From the pre-order principle, we deduced most of the known set-valued Ekeland variational principles(denoted by EVPs) in set containing forms and their improvements. But the pre-order principle could not imply Khanh and Quy's EVP in [On generalized Ekeland's variational principle and equivalent formulations for set-valued mappings, J. Glob. Optim., 49, 381–396(2011)], where the perturbation contains a weak τ-function, a certain type of generalized distances. In this paper, we give a revised version of the pre-order principle. This revised version not only implies the original pre-order principle,but also can be applied to obtain the above Khanh and Quy's EVP. In particular, we give several new set-valued EVPs, where the perturbations contain convex subsets of the ordering cone and various types of generalized distances.  相似文献

In this paper we use the Fréchet, Clarke, and Mordukhovich coderivatives to obtain variants of the Ekeland variational principle for a set-valued map F and establish optimality conditions for set-valued optimization problems. Our technique is based on scalarization with the help of a marginal function associated with F and estimates of subdifferentials of this function in terms of coderivatives of F.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to establish the existence of a local minimum for a continuously Gâteaux differentiable function, possibly unbounded from below, without requiring any weak continuity assumption. Several special cases are also emphasized. Moreover, a novel definition of Palais-Smale condition, which is more general than the usual one, is presented and a mountain pass theorem is pointed out. As a consequence, multiple critical points theorems are then established. Finally, as an example of applications, an elliptic Dirichlet problem with critical exponent is investigated.  相似文献

Here, we investigate the following question: if (x 0,f(x 0))∈λ-extf, wheref is a convex function, and if 〈f n 〉 is a sequence of convex functions convergent tof in some sense, can (x 0,f(x 0)) be recovered as a limit of a sequence of points taken from λ-extf n ? The convergence notions that we consider are the bounded Hausdorff convergence, Mosco convergence, and slice convergence, a new convergence notion that agrees with the Mosco convergence in the reflexive setting, but which, unlike the Mosco convergence, behaves well without reflexivity.  相似文献

For a family of vector-valued bifunctions,we introduce the notion of sequentially lower monotonity,which is strictly weaker than the lower semi-continuity of the second variables of the bifunctions.Then,we give a general version of vectorial Ekeland variational principle(briefly,denoted by EVP) for a system of equilibrium problems,where the sequentially lower monotone objective bifunction family is defined on products of sequentially lower complete spaces(concerning sequentially lower complete spaces,see Zhu et al(2013)),and taking values in a quasi-ordered locally convex space.Besides,the perturbation consists of a subset of the ordering cone and a family {p_i}_(i∈I) of negative functions satisfying for each i∈I,p_i(x_i,y_i) = 0 if and only if x_i=y_i.From the general version,we can deduce several particular equilibrium versions of EVP,which can be applied to show the existence of solutions for countable systems of equilibrium problems.In particular,we obtain a general existence result of solutions for countable systems of equilibrium problems in the setting of sequentially lower complete spaces.By weakening the compactness of domains and the lower semi-continuity of objective bifunctions,we extend and improve some known existence results of solutions for countable system of equilibrium problems in the setting of complete metric spaces(or Fréchet spaces).When the domains are non-compact,by using the theory of angelic spaces(see Floret(1980)),we generalize some existence results on solutions for countable systems of equilibrium problems by extending the framework from reflexive Banach spaces to the strong duals of weakly compactly generated spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the Ekeland type variational principle, a Caristi-Kirk type fixed point theorem and a maximal element theorem in the setting of uniform spaces. By using these results, we establish some existence results for solutions of quasi-variational inclusion problems, quasi-optimization problems and equilibrium problems defined on separated and sequentially complete uniformly spaces.  相似文献

We consider Ekeland’s variational principle for multivalued maps. Instead of dealing with directional perturbations in a direction of the positive cone of the image space, we perturb the map under question by a convex subset of the positive cone to get stronger and more general versions. We give generalizations in complete gauge spaces of the following results: Bishop-Phelps’ theorem, Ekeland’s variational principle, Caristi’s fixed point theorem, the drop theorem and the flower petal theorem. We show that our generalizations are equivalent. We apply those results to obtain fixed point theorems for multivalued contractions defined on a closed subset of a complete gauge space and satisfying a generalized inwardness condition.  相似文献
