In this paper, some new existence theorems of weak solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic systems are obtained by means of the local linking theorem and the saddle point theorem.     

Multiplicity and asymptotic behavior of solutions for quasilinear elliptic equations with small perturbations

This paper considers the following general form of quasilinear elliptic equation with a small perturbation:$\{\begin{array}{c}?{\sum }_{i,j=1}^N{D}_j(a_{ij}(x,u)D_{i}u)+\frac{1}{2}{\sum }_{i,j=1}^N{D}_t{a}_{ij}(x,u)D_{i}u{D}_{j}u\hfill \\ =f(x,u)+\epsilon g(x,u),x\in \mathrm{\Omega },u\in H_0^1(\mathrm{\Omega }),\hfill \end{array}$ where $\mathrm{\Omega }?{\mathbb{R}}^N(N\ge 3)$ is a bounded domain with smooth boundary and $|\epsilon |$ small enough. We assume the main term in the equation to have a mountain pass structure but do not suppose any conditions for the perturbation term $\epsilon g(x,u)$. Then we prove the equation possesses a positive solution, a negative solution and a sign-changing solution. Moreover, we are able to obtain the asymptotic behavior of these solutions as $\epsilon \to 0$.     

Multiplicity result for asymptotically linear noncooperative elliptic systems

In this paper, we obtain a multiplicity result for a class of asymptotically linear noncooperative elliptic systems by using saddle point reduction technique and two abstract critical point theorems. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Multiple solutions for semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with double resonance

In this paper we study the multiplicity of nontrivial solutions of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems which may be double resonance near infinity between two consecutive eigenvalues of −Δ with zero Dirichlet boundary data. The methods we use here are Morse theory, minimax methods and bifurcation theory.     

Some existence results for a class of degenerate semilinear elliptic systems

Using a variational approach, we investigate a class of degenerate semilinear elliptic systems with measurable, unbounded nonnegative weights, where the domain is bounded or unbounded. Some existence results are obtained.

We study an elliptic system equivalent to a fourth order elliptic equation. By using variational and perturbative methods, we prove the existence of infinitely many solutions both in the symmetric and in the non-symmetric case.     

NontriviaL solutions of some nonlinear elliptic problems

This paper is concerned with a class of semilinear elliptic Dirichlet problems approximating degenerate equations. The aim is to prove the existence of at least 4^k?1 nontrivial solutions when the degeneration set consists of k distinct connected components     

Existence and Multiplicity of solutions for a quasilinear elliptic system on unbounded domains involving nonlinear boundary conditions

We prove two existence results for the nonlinear elliptic boundary value system involving $p$-Laplacian over an unbounded domain in $R^N$ with noncompact boundary. The proofs are based on variational methods applied to weighted spaces.     

Numerical solutions of coupled systems of nonlinear elliptic equations

This article deals with numerical solutions of a general class of coupled nonlinear elliptic equations. Using the method of upper and lower solutions, monotone sequences are constructed for difference schemes which approximate coupled systems of nonlinear elliptic equations. This monotone convergence leads to existence‐uniqueness theorems for solutions to problems with reaction functions of quasi‐monotone nondecreasing, quasi‐monotone nonincreasing and mixed quasi‐monotone types. A monotone domain decomposition algorithm which combines the monotone approach and an iterative domain decomposition method based on the Schwarz alternating, is proposed. Large solutions to non-monotone semilinear elliptic systems

We present the existence of entire large positive radial solutions for the non-monotonic system Δu=p(|x|)g(v), Δv=q(|x|)f(u) on Rn where n?3. The functions f and g satisfy a Keller-Osserman type condition while nonnegative functions p and q are required to satisfy the decay conditions and . Further, p and q are such that min(p,q) does not have compact support.
