The morphology of structural changes in KTP crystal induced by single femtosecond laser pulse has been investigated by means of CCD camera, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atom force microscopy (AFM). The structurally changed region is depressed at energies close to the threshold for producing a structural change and melting ablation morphologies are observed as pulse energy is increased. Furthermore, periodic nanostructures are formed around the edge of the laser-induced spots.  相似文献

Experiments on fs laser-induced transient grating (LITG) in carbon bisulfide (CS2 ) are carried out to explore the chirp characteristics of a white-light supercontinuum (SC) generated by a 800-nm, 160-fs laser pulse in a 4-mm thick Al2O3 crystal. Two orders of diffraction signals of SC by fs LITG in CS2 are observed, demonstrating that both the third-order process and the fifth-order process are present simultaneously. The experimental results also imply that the formation of an fs transient refractive-index grating in CS2 is mainly due to the electronic polarization process.  相似文献

A shockwave induced by focusing an intense femtosecond laser onto a culture medium under a microscope was used to manipulate single cultured animal cells. Mouse NIH3T3 fibroblasts were cultured on a collagen matrix and placed on a microscope installation that included an intense femtosecond laser. Cells were detached individually from the matrix by the shockwave, after their filopodia were cut by focusing the laser directly on them. The appearance and locomotion of cells after detachment was monitored with a CCD camera. Filopodia of the detached cells were regenerated, and the cell adhered again to the matrix within 4 hrs after detachment. When the shockwave was induced at a pulse energy of 0.72 J/pulse, 80% of cells were successfully detached from the culture plate in a non-destructive manner. The force required to detach a cell was estimated to be a few N/m2, which is larger than the photon force resulting from conventional laser trapping. PACS 42.62.Be; 47.40.Nm; 87.80.Rb  相似文献

采用了不同能量的单脉冲和多脉冲飞秒激光对LiNbO3晶体进行烧蚀,并刻蚀了表面衍射型光栅.通过扫描电镜和原子力显微镜观察了烧蚀点的形貌特征,首次发现利用单束飞秒激光脉冲对LiNbO3晶体烧蚀,可以得到超衍射极限的烧蚀点,当聚焦光斑直径约为2μm、能量为170nJ的单脉冲飞秒激光作用时,烧蚀点的直径约为400nm,100nJ,17个脉冲作用时烧蚀点的直径约为800nm.同时可以观察到在能量较低的多脉冲飞秒激光作用下, LiNbO3晶体呈现出大约200nm周期性分布的波纹状结构.实验结果表明,选择合适参数的飞秒激光脉冲可以对LiNbO3晶体进行超衍射极限加工,这对于利用飞秒激光制作LiNbO3基质的微纳光电子器件有十分重要的意义.  相似文献

The iron-atom concentration distribution as well as the gas-phase temperature was measured via laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) during iron-oxide nanoparticle synthesis in a low-pressure hydrogen/oxygen/argon flame reactor using ironpentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) as precursor. Temperature measurements based on multi-line NO-LIF imaging are used to correct for temperature-dependent ground-state populations. The concentration measurement is calibrated based on line-of-sight absorption measurements. The influence of the precursor on the flame is observed at precursor concentrations larger than 70 ppm as the flame front moves closer to the burner surface with increasing Fe(CO)5 concentration.  相似文献

When an 800 nm femtosecond laser is tightly focused into cell culture medium a stress wave is generated at the laser focal point. Since the stress wave localizes in a few tens of μm, it is possible to locally stimulate single cells in vitro. In this work, several kinds of cultured mammalian cells, HeLa, PC12, P19CL6, and C2C12, were stimulated by the stress wave and the cell growth after the stress loading with the laser irradiation was investigated. In comparison with the control conditions, cell growth after the laser irradiation was enhanced for the cells of C2C12 and P19CL6, which can differentiate into myocytes, and suppressed for PC12 and HeLa cell lines. These results suggest a possibility of cell growth enhancement due to myogenic cells response to the femtosecond laser-induced stress.  相似文献

Aluminum samples have been analyzed by femtosecond polarization-resolved laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (fs-PRLIBS). We compare the obtained spectra with those obtained from nanosecond PRLIBS (ns-PRLIBS). The main specific features of fs-PRLIBS are that a lower plasma temperature leads to a low level of continuum and no species are detected from the ambient gas. Furthermore, signals obtained by fs-PRLIBS show a higher stability than those of ns-PRLIBS. However, more elements are detected in the ns-PRLIBS spectra.  相似文献

Photon pairs highly entangled in polarization have been generated under femtosecond laser pulse excitation by a type-I crystal source operating in a single-arm interferometric scheme. The relevant effects of temporal walkoff existing in these conditions between the ordinary and extraordinary photons were experimentally investigated. By introducing a suitable temporal compensation between the two orthogonal polarization components, highly entangled pulsed states were obtained.  相似文献

Optical waveguides were fabricated by modifying the optical properties inside a LiTaO3 crystal by irradiation with femtosecond laser pulses, and the performance and optical properties of the waveguide were investigated. On the basis of near-field pattern of the light guided through the waveguides, the optimum writing conditions such as the pulse energy and the pulse duration were determined. The waveguide written inside a LiTaO3 crystal had a strong polarization dependence of guided light. Observation by a polarized microscope suggested that the stress distribution around the photoexcited region should be responsible for the polarization dependence of guided light. In addition, the second harmonic generation from a laser beam passing through the waveguide was observed, which suggests that the ferroelectric properties of LiTaO3 were preserved after the photoexcitation.  相似文献

A frequency-domain approach based on the semi-analytical scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM) was developed to calculate dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) at bimaterial interface cracks subjected to transient loading. Because the stress solutions of the SBFEM in the frequency domain are analytical in the radial direction, and the complex stress singularity at the bimaterial interface crack tip is explicitly represented in the stress solutions, the mixed-mode DSIFs were calculated directly by definition. The complex frequency-response functions of DSIFs were then used by the fast Fourier transform (FFT) and the inverse FFT to calculate time histories of DSIFs. A benchmark example was modelled. Good results were obtained by modelling the example with a small number of degrees of freedom due to the semi-analytical nature of the SBFEM. We analyze he femtosecond instability of the chamond lattice of silicon and GaAs, which is induced by a dense electron-hole plasma after excitation by a very imense laser pulse. We obtain that the electron-hole plasma causes an instability of both transverse acoustic and longitudinal optical phonons. So, within less than 200fs, the atoms are displaced more than 1 Å from their equilibrium position. The gap between the conduction and the valence band then vanishes and the symmetries of the diamond structure are destroyed, which has important effects on the optical reflectivity and second-harmonic generation. After that, the crystal melts very rapidly because of the high kinetic energy of the atoms. We report the first results on uniaxial stress-induced frequency shifts in an Fe single crystal. Stress was applied along the 100 axis, which was also the axis of magnetization induced by an external field. The observed frequency shift was –0.34±0.023 MHz per 100 microstrain, which corresponds to B/=+25.1±1.6 G/100. The positive sign arises from the negative sign of B itself. This result is interpreted as follows: The stress induces a statistical population shift between magnetically inequivalent sites. Extrapolations from the calculations of Sugimoto and Fukai from Nb and V to Fe yield order of magnitude agreement. The 4T(0) site system seems more likely.  相似文献

A recently developed ultrasound technique is evaluated by measuring the behavior of a cavitation bubble that is induced in water by a femtosecond laser pulse. The passive acoustic emission during optical breakdown is used to estimate the location of the cavitation bubble's origin. In turn, the position of the bubble wall is defined based on the active ultrasonic pulse-echo signal. The results suggest that the developed ultrasound technique can be used for quantitative measurements of femtosecond laser-induced microbubbles.  相似文献

该文章报道了利用显微激光拉曼光谱仪研究近红外飞秒强激光脉冲诱导二氧化钛金红石单晶所引起的相变.实验辐照时间为60s,当激光辐照平均功率增加时,锐钛矿相的拉曼振动模式强度增强,金红石相的拉曼振动模式强度减弱.通过金红石相和锐钛矿相粉体等拉曼光谱的实验,肯定了随着辐照激光功率的增大,.可以通过拉曼光谱中锐钛矿A1g B1g(515 cm-1)振动模式标志峰和金红石相Eg(445 cm-1)振动标志峰分别对应面积的比判断其相变量.  相似文献

构建了掺镱大模场面积单偏振光子晶体光纤飞秒激光非线性放大系统. 讨论了腔内净色散量和抽运功率对振荡级输出参数的影响和振荡级参数对放大级输出参数的影响. 在本实验条件下, 当腔内净色散量取较大负色散时, 振荡级直接输出的脉冲更宽, 且携带更少的啁啾. 当振荡级抽运4.53 W时, 选择最接近变换极限的脉冲作为种子脉冲, 放大级在60 W抽运时输出压缩后无基底的短脉冲, 宽度为45.7 fs, 平均功率28 W. 振荡级抽运功率增加到5.08 W, 放大级抽运70 W时, 获得最高输出功率34.5 W, 对应脉宽53.5 fs.  相似文献

A constant elastic alloy is a widely used material with a high elastic modulus and an excellent wave velocity consistency. Different morphologies on the constant elastic alloy surface are observed through femtosecond laser irradiation. When the laser average fluence is set to 0.58 J∕cm2and 200 laser pulses, with the increasing depth of distilled water, the period of the laser-induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS) becomes shorter accordingly.The higher the ethanol concentration is, the more spot-shaped structures will be formed among the surface structures when the depth of the coverage of ethanol is 2 mm. The period of the LIPSS reaches its maximum when the concentration of ethanol is 80%.  相似文献
