In this paper, we consider local well‐posedness and ill‐posedness questions for the fractal Burgers equation. First, we obtain the well‐posedness result in the critical Sobolev space. We also present an unconditional uniqueness result. Second, we show the ill‐posedness from the point of view of the Picard iterations in the supercritical space. In this paper, we establish the local well‐posedness for the two‐component b‐family system in a range of the Besov space. We also derive the blow‐up scenario for strong solutions of the system. In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem for the Keller–Segel system with fractional diffusion generalizing the Keller–Segel model of chemotaxis for the initial data (u0,v0) in critical Fourier‐Herz spaces with q ∈ [2, ], where 1 < α ≤ 2. Making use of some estimates of the linear dissipative equation in the frame of mixed time‐space spaces, the Chemin ‘mono‐norm method’, the Fourier localization technique and the Littlewood–Paley theory, we get a local well‐posedness result and a global well‐posedness result with a small initial data. We prove local and global well‐posedness for the FENE dumbbell model for a very general class of potentials. Indeed, in prior local or global well‐posedness results, conditions on the strength of the singularity (or on the parameter b) were made. Here we give a proof in the general case. In this paper, we consider the well‐posedness issue for the density‐dependent incompressible viscoelastic fluids of the Oldroyd model for the ideal case in space dimension greater than 2. We obtain the local well‐posedness of this model under the assumption that the initial density is bounded away from zero in the critical Besov spaces by means of the Littlewood‐Paley theory and Bony's paradifferential calculus. In particular, we obtain a Beale‐Kato‐Majida–type regularity criterion.  相似文献

This article deals with the web‐spline‐based finite element approximation of quasi‐Newtonian flows. First, we consider the scalar elliptic p‐Laplace problem. Then, we consider quasi‐Newtonian flows where viscosity obeys power law or Carreau law. We prove well‐posedness at the continuous as well as the discrete level. We give some error bounds for the solution of quasi‐Newtonian flow problem based on the web‐spline method. In this article, we show that a technique for showing well‐posedness results for evolutionary equations in the sense of Picard and McGhee [Picard, McGhee, Partial Differential Equations: A unified Hilbert Space Approach, DeGruyter, Berlin, 2011] established in [Picard, Trostorff, Wehowski, Waurick, On non‐autonomous evolutionary problems. J. Evol. Equ. 13:751‐776, 2013] applies to a broader class of non‐autonomous integro‐differential‐algebraic equations. Using the concept of evolutionary mappings, we prove that the respective solution operators do not depend on certain parameters describing the underlying spaces in which the well‐posedness results are established. There is an increasing reliance on mathematical modelling to assist in the design of piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers since this provides a cost‐effective and quick way to arrive at a first prototype. Given a desired operating envelope for the sensor, the inverse problem of obtaining the associated design parameters within the model can be considered. It is therefore of practical interest to examine the well‐posedness of such models. There is a need to extend the use of such sensors into high‐temperature environments, and so this paper shows, for a broad class of models, the well‐posedness of the magneto‐electro‐thermo‐elastic problem. This paper is devoted to the well‐posedness for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation and time‐space fractional Navier‐Stokes equations by α‐stable noise. The spatial regularity and the temporal regularity of the nonlocal stochastic convolution are firstly established, and then the existence and uniqueness of the global mild solution are obtained by the Banach fixed point theorem and Mittag‐Leffler functions, respectively. Numerical simulations for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation are provided to verify the analysis results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with well‐posedness of the incompressible magneto‐hydrodynamics (MHD) system. In particular, we prove the existence of a global mild solution in BMO?1 for small data which is also unique in the space C([0, ∞); BMO?1). We also establish the existence of a local mild solution in bmo?1 for small data and its uniqueness in C([0, T); bmo?1). In establishing our results an important role is played by the continuity of the bilinear form which was proved previously by Kock and Tataru. The purpose of this paper is to study the mixed Dirichlet‐Neumann boundary value problem for the semilinear Darcy‐Forchheimer‐Brinkman system in L p ‐based Besov spaces on a bounded Lipschitz domain in R 3 , with p in a neighborhood of 2. This system is obtained by adding the semilinear term | u | u to the linear Brinkman equation. First, we provide some results about equivalence between the Gagliardo and nontangential traces, as well as between the weak canonical conormal derivatives and the nontangential conormal derivatives. Various mapping and invertibility properties of some integral operators of potential theory for the linear Brinkman system, and well‐posedness results for the Dirichlet and Neumann problems in L p ‐based Besov spaces on bounded Lipschitz domains in R n (n ≥3) are also presented. Then, using integral potential operators, we show the well‐posedness in L 2‐based Sobolev spaces for the mixed problem of Dirichlet‐Neumann type for the linear Brinkman system on a bounded Lipschitz domain in R n (n ≥3). Further, by using some stability results of Fredholm and invertibility properties and exploring invertibility of the associated Neumann‐to‐Dirichlet operator, we extend the well‐posedness property to some L p ‐based Sobolev spaces. Next, we use the well‐posedness result in the linear case combined with a fixed point theorem to show the existence and uniqueness for a mixed boundary value problem of Dirichlet and Neumann type for the semilinear Darcy‐Forchheimer‐Brinkman system in L p ‐based Besov spaces, with p ∈(2?ε ,2+ε ) and some parameter ε >0.  相似文献

We study integro‐differential inclusions in Hilbert spaces with operator‐valued kernels and give sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness. We show that several types of integro‐differential equations and inclusions are covered by the class of evolutionary inclusions, and we therefore give criteria for the well‐posedness within this framework. As an example, we apply our results to the equations of visco‐elasticity and to a class of nonlinear integro‐differential inclusions describing phase transition phenomena in materials with memory. This paper is concerned with the initial value problem for the fourth‐order nonlinear Schrödinger type equation related to the theory of vortex filament. By deriving a fundamental estimate on dyadic blocks for the fourth‐order Schrödinger through the [k,Z]‐multiplier norm method. we establish multilinear estimates for this nonlinear fourth‐order Schrödinger type equation. In this paper we consider a new rod equation derived recently by Dai [Acta Mech. 127 No. 1–4, 193–207 (1998)] for a compressible hyperelastic material. We establish local well‐posedness for regular initial data and explore various sufficient conditions of the initial data which guarantee the blow‐up in finite time both for periodic and non‐periodic case. In this paper, we consider a mathematical model describing the two‐phase interaction between water and mud in a water canal when the width of the canal is small compared with its depth. The mud is treated as a non‐Newtonian fluid, and the interface between the mud and fluid is allowed to move under the influence of gravity and surface tension. We reduce the mathematical formulation, for small boundary and initial data, to a fully nonlocal and nonlinear problem and prove its local well‐posedness by using abstract parabolic theory.
