A new method of Monte Carlo simulation is developed to simulate the photon migration path in a scattering medium after an ultrashort-pulse laser beam comes into the medium.The most probable trajectory of photons at an instant can be obtained with this method.How the photon migration paths are affected by the optical parameters of the scattering medium is analyzed.It is also concluded that the absorption coefficient has no effect on the most probable trajectory of photons.  相似文献

从漫射高光谱中可以获得被测物体成分、结构及其分布等信息。采用光纤光谱仪获取漫射高光谱是一种常用的方法。Monte Carlo方法在研究光在浑浊介质的传播方面得到了广泛的应用。然而,使用Monte Carlo方法研究漫射高光谱时,必须考虑实际的检测条件对信号采集的影响。将光纤参数引入到Monte Carlo模型中,研究了光纤参数对被检测光学信号的影响。仿真结果表明,孔径角和半径增大,检测的漫射高光谱随之增大,而光纤与被测物质表面的距离小于1 mm时对漫射高光谱的影响在一定程度上可以忽略。进一步研究发现存在固定的修正系数使不同孔径角的光纤所采集的漫射高光谱转化为孔径角为π/2的光纤对应的信号。同时,得到了实际光纤孔径角范围内的修正系数拟合曲线。不同半径的光纤通过面积归一化可以得到很好的一致性。研究检测光纤参数对漫射高光谱的影响对实际测量有重要的指导意义,而且不同光纤所对应的检测结果可以通过修正系数和面积归一化进行移植。  相似文献

We present a two-step Monte Carlo (MC) method that is used to solve the radiative transfer equation in heterogeneous turbid media. The method exploits the one-to-one correspondence between the seed value of a random number generator and the sequence of random numbers. In the first step, a full MC simulation is run for the initial distribution of the optical properties and the "good" seeds (the ones leading to detected photons) are stored in an array. In the second step, we run a new MC simulation with only the good seeds stored in the first step, i.e., we propagate only detected photons. The effect of a change in the optical properties is calculated in a short time by using two scaling relationships. By this method we can increase the speed of a simulation up to a factor of 1300 in typical situations found in near-IR tissue spectroscopy and diffuse optical tomography, with a minimal requirement for hard disk space. Potential applications of this method for imaging of turbid media and the inverse problem are discussed.  相似文献

Single photon pulse ranging system with extremely high sensitivity has been widely used in distance measurement and 3D imaging. To analyze the factors that affect the measurement precision and accuracy will help to improve system performance. According to system structure and principle, we mainly discussed the following factors: laser intensity, pulse width, detection efficiency and time jitter. A simulation model based on Monte Carlo stochastic method was constructed in this paper, and we get the specific influence of factors on measurement precision and accuracy by simulation. 构建了内光源模型探讨散射介质中的光散射现象,利用蒙特卡罗方法研究了逃逸出组织的后向散射光子数随光子在组织内部发生的散射次数的分布关系,探讨了光源照明方式、辐射强度、接收方式、调制等参数的变化对后向散射的影响,结果表明后向散射光子的数量随散射次数的分布并非简单的单调递增或递减,而是一条先增大后减小出现峰值的曲线. 峰值位置、峰值大小及曲线形状与光源、探测方式、组织光学特性参数等有关. 关键词: 医用光学与生物技术 散射介质 后向散射 蒙特卡罗模拟  相似文献

A boundary-based net-exchange Monte Carlo method was introduced (JQSRT 74 (2001) 563) that allows to bypass the difficulties encountered by standard Monte Carlo algorithms in the limit of optically thick absorption (and/or for quasi-isothermal configurations). With the present paper, this method is extended to scattering media. Developments are fully 3D, but illustrations are presented for plane parallel configuration. Compared to standard Monte Carlo algorithms, convergence qualities have been improved over a wide range of absorption and scattering optical thicknesses. The proposed algorithm still encounters a convergence difficulty in the case of optically thick, highly scattering media.  相似文献

荧光涨落谱方法(Fluorescence Fluctuation Spectroscopy)通过分析微小探测区域内的荧光涨落信号,获得粒子亮度、扩散系数以及溶液浓度等信息。利用Monte Carlo模拟方法,研究了溶液中自荧光背景和系统噪声对荧光涨落谱的影响。结果表明,利用双组分光子计数统计方法,可以有效去除低亮度、高浓度背景组分自荧光和均匀分布系统噪声产生的影响。本结果为利用荧光涨落谱方法测量细胞体系复杂环境中的蛋白质相互作用提供帮助。  相似文献

In this work we present a method for determining the optical parameters of turbid media, namely its absorption coefficient (μa) and its reduced scattering coefficient . It is based on the measurement of CW transmittance profiles and analysis of the experimental data by a theoretical model based on the diffusion approximation (DA) of the radiative transfer equation (RTE). The method developed has been investigated with solid polymer probes but it could be applied for liquid materials as well. Experimental results are presented and compared to those of other authors together with a discussion about the accuracy of measurements. In addition, measurements using integrating spheres as well as Monte Carlo simulations are also presented to validate these results.  相似文献

In this paper, we solve the steady-state form of the Boltzmann transport equation in homogeneous and heterogeneous tissue-like media with a finite element-spherical harmonics (FE-PN) radiation transport method. We compare FE-transport and diffusion solutions in terms of the ratio of absorption to reduced scattering coefficient, (μa/μs′) and the anisotropy factor g. Two different scattering phase function formulas are employed to model anisotropic scattering in the slab media with high g-value. In this paper, our investigations suggest that the modulation phase of ultrasound-modulated light escaping from the different locations in the ultrasonic field is different. In turbid media, the modulation phase causes the ultrasound-modulated light intensity collected outside the media to fluctuate. However, the ultrasound-modulated optical technology uses the ultrasound-modulated light signals to image. Consequently, the modulation phase affects the quality of ultrasound-modulated optical imaging.  相似文献

A new Monte Carlo algorithm for ion transport in two-dimensional anisotropic media is reported. It is based on physical considerations of drift and diffusion in anisotropic media with or without an impermeable boundary. Inhomogeneities in the medium and electric field can be taken into account by averaging along the ion trajectory. The algorithm has been applied to the calculation of ion transport in liquid crystal displays and has been successfully compared with a finite difference program on a one-dimensional liquid crystal structure.  相似文献

以CdZnTe核探测器的工作原理为依据,探测器内反应的随机性和反应产生的电子空穴对数目的统计规律为物理模型,应用Visual C + + 自行编制了蒙特卡罗模拟软件.模拟了γ射线在CdZnTe探测器中的响应能谱,并将模拟结果与实际器件的测试结果进行了比较讨论.模拟能谱与实际测得的能谱的主峰符合较好.此外,通过分析57Co源辐照下探测效率与器件厚度的关系,可以推测探测效率达到最大时所对应CdZnTe探测器的理想厚度  相似文献

Traditional Monte Carlo ray-tracing (MCRT) methods for continuous participating media are not applicable in media represented by point masses (or stochastic particles) frequently encountered in combustion modeling. In the authors’ previous work several ray models and particle models have been proposed for radiation simulations in such media. In the present paper an efficient emission scheme is developed for MCRT in highly inhomogeneous media represented by particle fields. Ray energies are limited to a narrow range to reduce statistical error, by having particles emit numbers of photons proportional to their emissive power (including combination of weak particles). A method to evaluate the radiative heat source, required by the overall energy equation, is also developed. A particle field representing the highly inhomogeneous medium in a turbulent jet flame is employed to test the proposed methods.  相似文献

Radiodiagnosis and radiation treatment, in each of their areas such as imaging, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine, require precise calculations about the energy deposited and scattering of the ionizing radiation used. In healthcare applications, it is required to know the penetration and amount of energy deposited in the biological tissue irradiated by ionizing photons; these parameters are function of the photon interaction processes with matter, which can be analyzed experimentally or by Monte Carlo simulation. Purpose: The aim of this work was to develop a new Monte Carlo code for ionizing photon transport in water with the track structure technique, that allows to discriminate primary and secondary photons, and to determine the energy deposited, interaction coordinates, path length and time of flight (TOF) inside of scatter volume. Methods: C++ programming language was used. In the Compton scattering, the polar angle was sampled by methods: Kahn and EGS. Water spheres centered at the origin with different radius were used, where the isotropic point source was placed at (0, 0, 0) for different energies to compute the energy lost by photons and TOF inside spherical volume. Results: It was determined that the best sampling method for the polar angle generation in each Compton interaction was the EGS method. Energy deposited in target region filled with water was compared with MCNPX 2.6 and others’ results from literature. Mean TOF and pathlength inside region of interest was obtained for 4 radii and 5 energies. Conclusions: Quantities computed with the new code are, according to reported data, and so, the new code is reliable for photon transport in water using the track structure method; this will allow the new code to become a useful tool in the areas of radiology and radiation dosimetry. 热脉冲法是测量聚合物介质薄膜空间电荷分布的有效方法之一, 其数据的分析涉及第一类Fredholm积分方程, 只能采用合适的数值计算方法进行求解, 而Monte Carlo法是近年来提出的数值求解该方程的方法之一. 本文尝试使用Monte Carlo法在频域内实现热脉冲数据的分析, 通过一系列模拟计算讨论Monte Carlo法的分析效果. 计算结果表明: Monte Carlo法可实现对热脉冲法实验数据的有效分析, 提取被测薄膜内的电场分布, 而且计算的电场分布在整个样品厚度上都与真实分布较好地符合, 可有效地弥补尺度变换法只在样品表面附近获得较高准确度的缺陷. 该方法的局限性在于计算结果存在一定的振荡, 且在噪声和数据误差的影响下, 其准确性很大程度上依赖于奇异值分解过程中容差的选择, 在应用的方便程度方面还有待进一步提升.  相似文献

A Monte Carlo method is presented for simulating rough surfaces with the fractal behavior. The simulation is based on power-law size distribution of asperity diameter and self-affine property of roughness on surfaces. A probability model based on random number for asperity sizes is developed to generate the surfaces. By iteration, this method can be used to simulate surfaces that exhibit the aforementioned properties. The results indicate that the variation of the surface topography is related to the effects of scaling constant G and the fractal dimension D of the profile of rough surface. The larger value of D or smaller value of G signifies the smoother surface topography. This method may have the potential in prediction of the transport properties (such as friction, wear, lubrication, permeability and thermal or electrical conductivity, etc.) on rough surfaces.  相似文献
