The X-ray crystal structures, magnetic susceptibilities from 2 to 300 K, and theoretical analyses of the magnetism for 1D and trinuclear azido Cu(II) carboxylate complexes [Cu(1.5)(hnta)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)](n) (1) and [Cu(3)(hnta)(4)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(3)] (2), respectively, where hnta is 6-hydroxynicotinate, are described. Although both exhibit strong ferromagnetic coupling, discrete complex 2 exhibits long-range ferromagnetic ordering, while the very similar 1D system 1 does not. Density functional calculations provided accurate J values and allowed rationalization of the ferromagnetic coupling in terms of the magnetic orbitals and spin densities.  相似文献

通过9-蒽乙炔基及2-蒽乙炔基分别与有机金属氢化物羰基氯氢三(三苯基膦)钌(Ⅱ)[Ru HCl(CO)(PPh_3)_3]反应,再使用三甲基膦(PMe_3)交换配体,合成并表征了具有同分异构结构的蒽乙烯单钌配合物1和2,其中配合物2的结构还经X射线单晶衍射的确证,结合理论计算研究了其电学及光学性质。密度泛函理论(DFT)优化配合物1和2的电子结构显示,在两个异构体中钌乙烯基与蒽配体呈现明显不同的构型,前线分子轨道图显示最高已占分子轨道(HOMO)上电子离域于整个分子骨架,其中以配体蒽乙烯基所占比例为90%,表明蒽乙烯基配体参与该配合物氧化进程的比例很大。电化学实验结果表明,配合物1的氧化还原可逆性明显低于配合物2。配合物1和2及前体分子1b和2b的电子吸收光谱结果表明,配合物与前体分子相比光谱性质呈现明显变化,其在紫外区域的强吸收峰明显减弱,而在长波长方向均出现了弱而宽的吸收峰,该吸收峰已经通过含时密度泛函理论(TDDFT)计算将其归属于π→π*以及金属配位电荷转移(MLCT)跃迁吸收,均来自于HOMO→LUMO跃迁产生。荧光发射光谱揭示金属配位之后其荧光强度和荧光量子产率明显降低。CCDC:1488284,2。  相似文献

A new monoiminoacenaphthenone 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3-mian (complex 2) was synthesized and further exploited, along with the already known monoiminoacenaphthenone dpp-mian, to obtain oxidovanadium(IV) complexes [VOCl2(dpp-mian)(CH3CN)] (3) and [VOCl(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3-bian)(H2O)][VOCl3(3,5-(CF3)2C6H3-bian)]·2.85DME (4) from [VOCl2(CH3CN)2(H2O)] (1) or [VCl3(THF)3]. The structure of all compounds was determined using X-ray structural analysis. The vanadium atom in these structures has an octahedral coordination environment. Complex 4 has an unexpected structure. Firstly, it contains 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3-bian instead of 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3-mian. Secondly, it has a binuclear structure, in contrast to 3, in which two oxovanadium parts are linked to each other through V=O···V interaction. This interaction is non-covalent in origin, according to DFT calculations. In structures 2 and 3, non-covalent π-π staking interactions between acenaphthene moieties of the neighboring molecules (distances are 3.36–3.40 Å) with an estimated energy of 3 kcal/mol were also found. The redox properties of the obtained compounds were studied using cyclic voltammetry in solution. In all cases, the reduction processes initiated by the redox-active nature of the mian or bian ligand were identified. The paramagnetic nature of complexes 3 and 4 has been proven by EPR spectroscopy. Complexes 3 and 4 exhibited high catalytic activity in the oxidation of alkanes and alcohols with peroxides. The yields of products of cyclohexane oxidation were 43% (complex 3) and 27% (complex 4). Based on the data regarding the study of regio- and bond-selectivity, it was concluded that hydroxyl radicals play the most crucial role in the reaction. The initial products in the reactions with alkanes are alkyl hydroperoxides, which are easily reduced to their corresponding alcohols by the action of triphenylphosphine (PPh3). According to the DFT calculations, the difference in the catalytic activity of 3 and 4 is most likely associated with a different mechanism for the generation of OH radicals. For complex 4 with electron-withdrawing CF3 substituents at the diimine ligand, an alternative mechanism, different from Fenton’s and involving a redox-active ligand, is assumed.  相似文献

Two manganese(II) isocyanate complexes with different flexible zwitterionic dicarboxylate ligands, [Mn(2)(bcpp)(NCO)(4)](n) (1; bcpp=1,3-bis(N-carboxylatomethyl-4-pyridinio)propane) and [Mn(2)(bcp)(NCO)(4)](n) (2; bcp=bis(N-carboxylatomethyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium, have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Both compounds consist of two-dimensional coordination layers in which uniform anionic chains with mixed (NCO)(2)(COO) triple bridges are cross-linked by flexible cationic 4,4'-trimethylenedipyridinium spacers. Magnetic studies revealed antiferromagnetic interactions through the triple bridges (J=-8.0 cm(-1) (1) and J=-8.6 cm(-1) (2)), which are stronger than those in the isoelectronic analogue (N(3))(2)(COO). To complement the experimental data, periodic and finite-cluster DFT and CASPT2 calculations were performed on the dimeric units of the (NCO)(2)(COO) and (N(3))(2)(COO) mixed-bridged systems to support the Heisenberg picture and stress the relative efficiency of the magnetic couplers. It was found that the isocyanate ligand plays a greater role in the conveyance of antiferromagnetic behavior than the azide counterpart, and that both pseudohalide bridges function cooperatively with the carboxylate group.  相似文献

The electronic structure and magnetic properties of neptunyl(VI), NpO22+, and two neptunyl complexes, [NpO2(NO3)3]? and [NpO2Cl4]2?, were studied with a combination of theoretical methods: ab initio relativistic wavefunction methods and density functional theory (DFT), as well as crystal‐field (CF) models with parameters extracted from the ab initio calculations. Natural orbitals for electron density and spin magnetization from wavefunctions including spin–orbit coupling were employed to analyze the connection between the electronic structure and magnetic properties, and to link the results from CF models to the ab initio data. Free complex ions and systems embedded in a crystal environment were studied. Of prime interest were the electron paramagnetic resonance g‐factors and their relation to the complex geometry, ligand coordination, and nature of the nonbonding 5f orbitals. The g‐factors were calculated for the ground and excited states. For [NpO2Cl4]2?, a strong influence of the environment of the complex on its magnetic behavior was demonstrated. Kohn–Sham DFT with standard functionals can produce reasonable g‐factors as long as the calculation converges to a solution resembling the electronic state of interest. A series of Cu+ complexes with ligands that feature varying numbers of benzimidazole/thioether donors and methylene or ethylene linkers between the central nitrogen atom and the thioether sulfur atoms have been spectroscopically and electrochemically characterized. Cyclic voltammetry measurements indicated that the highest Cu2+/Cu+ redox potentials correspond to sulfur‐rich coordination environments, with values decreasing as the thioether donors are replaced by nitrogen‐donating benzimidazoles. Both Cu2+ and Cu+ complexes were studied by DFT. Their electronic properties were determined by analyzing their frontier orbitals, relative energies, and the contributions to the orbitals involved in redox processes, which revealed that the HOMOs of the more sulfur‐rich copper complexes, particularly those with methylene linkers (? N? CH2? S? ), show significant aromatic thioether character. Thus, the theoretically predicted initial oxidation at the sulfur atom of the methylene‐bridged ligands agrees with the experimentally determined oxidation waves in the voltammograms of the NS3‐ and N2S2‐type ligands as being ligand‐based, as opposed to the copper‐based processes of the ethylene‐bridged Cu+ complexes. The electrochemical and theoretical results are consistent with our previously reported mechanistic proposal for Cu2+‐promoted oxidative C? S bond cleavage, which in this work resulted in the isolation and complete characterization (including by X‐ray crystallography) of the decomposition products of two ligands employed, further supporting the novel reactivity pathway invoked. The combined results raise the possibility that the reactions of copper–thioether complexes in chemical and biochemical systems occur with redox participation of the sulfur atom.  相似文献

The reaction of dinuclear copper(II ) cryptates with calcium cyanamide, CaNCN, and sodium dicyanamide, Na[N(CN)2] results in dinuclear compounds of formulae [Cu2(HNCN)(R3Bm)](ClO4)3 ( 1 ), [Cu2(dca)(R3Bm)](ClO4)3?4H2O ( 2 ), and [Cu2(NCNCONH2)(R3Bm)](CF3SO3)3 ( 3 ), in which R3Bm=N[(CH2)2NHCH2(C6H4m)CH2NH(CH2)2]3N and dca=dicyanamido ligand (NCNCN?). The X‐ray diffraction analysis reveals for both 1 and 3 a dinuclear entity in which the copper atoms are bridged by means of the ‐NCN‐ unit. The molar magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1–3 in the 2–300 K range indicate ferromagnetic coupling. The calculated J values, by using theoretical methods based on density functional theory (DFT) are in excellent agreement with the experimental data. Catalytic hydration of a nitrile to an amide functional group is assumed responsible for the formation of 3 from a μ1,3‐dicyanamido ligand.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, electrochemistry, and photophysical properties of a series of heteroleptic tris‐ cyclometalated PtIV complexes are reported. The complexes mer‐[Pt(C^N)2(C′^N′)]OTf, with C^N=C‐deprotonated 2‐(2,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine (dfppy) or 2‐phenylpyridine (ppy), and C′^N′=C‐deprotonated 2‐(2‐thienyl)pyridine (thpy) or 1‐phenylisoquinoline (piq), were obtained by reacting bis‐ cyclometalated precursors [Pt(C^N)2Cl2] with AgOTf (2 equiv) and an excess of the N′^C′H pro‐ligand. The complex mer‐[Pt(dfppy)2(ppy)]OTf was obtained analogously and photoisomerized to its fac counterpart. The new complexes display long‐lived luminescence at room temperature in the blue to orange color range. The emitting states involve electronic transitions almost exclusively localized on the ligand with the lowest π–π* energy gap and have very little metal character. DFT and time‐dependent DFT (TD‐DFT) calculations on mer‐[Pt(ppy)2(C′^N′)]+ (C′^N′=thpy, piq) and mer/fac‐[Pt(ppy)3]+ support this assignment and provide a basis for the understanding of the luminescence of tris‐cyclometalated PtIV complexes. Excited states of LMCT character may become thermally accessible from the emitting state in the mer isomers containing dfppy or ppy as chromophoric ligands, leading to strong nonradiative deactivation. This effect does not operate in the fac isomers or the mer complexes containing thpy or piq, for which nonradiative deactivation originates mainly from vibrational coupling to the ground state.  相似文献

Hexaalkoxy‐substituted azamacrocyclic metal complexes 1 · MXn [MXn = FeCl3, CuCl2, SrCl2, Ln(NO3)3; Ln = La, Pr, Eu, Ho, Er] with various chain lengths were prepared by a convergent approach using 1,2‐bisalkoxy‐4,5‐diamines 3 and 4‐alkoxy‐pyridine‐2,6‐dicarbaldehydes 4 as key building blocks for template‐assisted cyclocondensation. Metal complexes 1 · MXn were considered as potential metallomesogens. However, differential scanning calorimetry and optical polarizing microscopy of 1 · MXn did not reveal any mesomorphism. The magnetic susceptibility shows deviation from Curie‐like behavior. Due to ligand field effects the effective magnetic moments are a function of the temperature. In order to obtain structural informations on the free ligand 1 , which is synthetically not accessible, theoretical calculations were carried out. For the free azamacrocycle 2a and the free hexamethoxy‐substituted azamacrocycle 1a the IR spectra were computed at the level of density functional theory. A planar and a saddle‐shaped conformation was considered. The IR spectra and especially the dependence of the C=N vibration on the structural parameters and the charge distribution are discussed.  相似文献

We report an innovative synthetic route to linear extended diquats (linquats). Our approach is short and efficient and features a highly modular reaction sequence based on two‐fold quaternization followed by the key intramolecular [2+2+2] alkyne cycloaddition. The physico‐chemical properties of four new linquats were characterized by spectroscopic methods, X‐ray crystallography, and electrochemistry complemented by information obtained from DFT calculations. Electron deficient N‐heteroaromatic cations with linear extended diquat motif with high electron affinities have been recently recognized as attractive n‐type semiconductors for chemical and biological sensing. Their advantageous redox properties such as very fast reversible electron transfers make the title compounds interesting for applications.  相似文献

The optical and redox properties of a methyl pyridinium appended 1,2-dithienylethene photochromic derivative have been thoroughly investigated. A complex multi-step photo/redox mechanism is proposed for the closed isomer on the ground of spectro-electrochemical and theoretical data. The generated compounds are not stable over the time because of chemical reactions associated to the redox processes and a new dithienylethene derivative incorporating a seven-membered ring has been isolated and characterized.  相似文献

The reaction of benzyl 2-amino-4,6-O-benzylidene-2-deoxy-α-D -glucopyranoside (HL) with the metal salts Cu(ClO4)2 ⋅ 6 H2O and Ni(NO3)2 ⋅ 6 H2O affords via self-assembly a tetranuclear μ4-hydroxido bridged copper(II) complex [(μ4-OH)Cu4(L)4(MeOH)3(H2O)](ClO4)3 ( 1 ) and a trinuclear alcoholate bridged nickel(II) complex [Ni3(L)5(HL)]NO3 ( 2 ), respectively. Both complexes crystallize in the acentric space group P21. The X-ray crystal structure reveals the rare (μ4-OH)Cu4O4 core for complex 1 which is μ2-alcoholate bridged. The copper(II) ions possess a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with an [NO4] donor set. The core is stabilized by hydrogen bonding between the coordinating amino group of the glucose backbone and the benzylidene protected oxygen atom O4 of a neighboring {Cu(L)} fragment as hydrogen-bond acceptor. For complex 2 an [N4O2] donor set is observed at the nickel(II) ions with a distorted octahedral geometry. The trinuclear isosceles Ni3 core is bridged by μ3-alcoholate O3 oxygen atoms of two glucose ligands. The two short edges are capped by μ2-alcoholate O3 oxygen atoms of the two ligands coordinated at the nickel(II) ion at the vertex of these two edges. Along the elongated edge of the triangle a strong hydrogen bond (244 pm) between the O3 oxygen atoms of ligands coordinating at the two relevant nickel(II) ions is observed. The coordinating amino groups of the these two glucose ligands are involved in additional hydrogen bonds with O4 oxygen atoms of adjacent ligands further stabilizing the trinuclear core. The carbohydrate backbones in all cases adopt the stable 4C1 chair conformation and exhibit the rare chitosan-like trans-2,3-chelation. Temperature dependent magnetic measurements indicate an overall antiferromagnetic behavior for complex 1 with J1=−260 and J2=−205 cm−1 (g=2.122). Compound 2 is the first ferromagnetically coupled trinuclear nickel(II) complex with JA=16.4 and JB=11.0 cm−1 (g1,2=2.183, g3=2.247). For the high-spin nickel(II) centers a zero-field splitting of D1,2=3.7 cm−1 and D3=1.8 cm−1 is observed. The S=3 ground state of complex 2 is consistent with magnetization measurements at low temperatures.  相似文献

The α-methylcyclopropyl (MCP) group with conformationally dependent electronic properties is suggested as an additional structural “instrument” for stabilization of both open-shell and ionic states of diarylnitroxides, to be used as “ambipolar” redox active materials. New MCP-substituted diphenylnitroxides (fully characterized by electrochemical, spectral, and X-ray data) are the most stable nitroxides of the diaryl type known to date [τ1/2 in benzene exceeds three months (2310 h)]. The radicals are capable to reversible oxidation and reduction, yielding stable oxoammonium cations and aminoxyl anions. DFT investigation of the electronic structure and geometry of the compounds confirmed the conformational switching of the cyclopropyl orientation relative to the adjacent aromatic π system is dependent on the nitroxide's redox state. Additional through-space stabilizing interaction between the π-acceptor orbital of the NO+ moiety and the cyclopropyl “banana” bond orbital was also detected, highlighting its good hyperconjugative ability. The estimated σ(para)MCP value (−0.32) confirms its strong electron-donating properties.  相似文献

New bis‐ and tris(iminopyrrole)‐functionalized linear (1,2‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 2 ), 1,3‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 3 ), 1,4‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 4 ), 4,4′‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐(C6H4‐C6H4) ( 5 ), 1,5‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 6 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 7 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C14H8 ( 8 )) and star‐shaped (1,3,5‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N‐1,4‐C6H4)3‐C6H3 ( 9 )) π‐conjugated molecules were synthesized by the condensation reactions of 2‐formylpyrrole ( 1 ) with several aromatic di‐ and triamines. The corresponding linear diboron chelate complexes (Ph2B[1,3‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 10 ), Ph2B[1,4‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 11 ), Ph2B[4,4′‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐biphenyl]BPh2 ( 12 ), Ph2B[1,5‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 13 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 14 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐anthracenyl]BPh2 ( 15 )) and the star‐shaped triboron complex ([4′,4′′,4′′′‐tris(iminopyrrolyl)‐1,3,5‐triphenylbenzene](BPh2)3 ( 16 )) were obtained in moderate to good yields, by the treatment of 3 – 9 with B(C6H5)3. The ligand precursors are non‐emissive, whereas most of their boron complexes are highly fluorescent; their emission color depends on the π‐conjugation length. The photophysical properties of the luminescent polyboron compounds were measured, showing good solution fluorescence quantum yields ranging from 0.15 to 0.69. DFT and time‐dependent DFT calculations confirmed that molecules 10 and 16 are blue emitters, because only one of the iminopyrrolyl groups becomes planar in the singlet excited state, whereas the second (and third) keeps the same geometry. Compound 13 , in which planarity is not achieved in any of the groups, is poorly emissive. In the other examples ( 11 , 12 , 14 , and 15 ), the LUMO is stabilized, narrowing the gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO), and the two iminopyrrolyl groups become planar, extending the size of the π‐system, to afford green to yellow emissions. Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) were fabricated by using the new polyboron complexes and their luminance was found to be in the order of 2400 cd m?2, for single layer devices, increasing to 4400 cd m?2 when a hole‐transporting layer is used.  相似文献

The synthesis of two novel titanium carbene complexes from the bis(thiophosphinoyl)methanediide geminal dianion 1 (SCS2?) is described. Dianion 1 reacts cleanly with 0.5 equivalents of [TiCl4(thf)2] to afford the bis‐carbene complex [(SCS)2Ti] ( 2 ) in 86 % yield. The mono‐carbene complex [(SCS)TiCl2(thf)] ( 3 ) can also be obtained by using an excess of [TiCl4(thf)2]. The structures of 2 and 3 are confirmed by X‐ray crystallography. A strong nucleophilic reactivity towards various electrophiles (ketones and aldehydes) is observed. The reaction of 3 with N,N′‐dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and phenyl isocyanate leads to the formation of two novel diphosphinoketenimines 8 a and 8 b . The bis‐titanium guanidinate complex 9 is trapped as the by‐product of the reaction with DCC. The X‐ray crystal structures of 8 a and 9 are presented. The mechanism of the reaction between complex 3 and DCC is rationalized by DFT studies.  相似文献
