The propagation and absorption of ECR waves in a tokamak plasma with small size and low values of the electron temperature and the toroidal magnetic field is studied numerically. The cold plasma dispersion equation is solved and ray tracing calculations are performed to find the accessibility conditions and the optimal angle of wave launching for maximal ECR absorption. The particle orbits which intersect the magnetic axis behave differently from banana ones, referred to as potato orbits. The potential importance on tokamak transport is emphasized by Politzer, Lin, Tang, and Lee,and Shaing, Hazeltine, and Zarnstoff. However, there are many problems in the lasttwo papers. For example, the Eq. (48) in Ref. [5] should satisfy the orbit constraint which guarantees single value of the function go, that is, solubility condition, and Eq. (8) in Ref. We study the limiting behavior of a singularly perturbed Schr?dinger-Poisson system describing a 3-dimensional electron gas strongly confined in the vicinity of a plane (x, y) and subject to a strong uniform magnetic field in the plane of the gas. The coupled effects of the confinement and of the magnetic field induce fast oscillations in time that need to be averaged out. We obtain at the limit a system of 2-dimensional Schr?dinger equations in the plane (x, y), coupled through an effective selfconsistent electrical potential. In the direction perpendicular to the magnetic field, the electron mass is modified by the field, as the result of an averaging of the cyclotron motion. The main tools of the analysis are the adaptation of the second order long-time averaging theory of ODEs to our PDEs context, and the use of a Sobolev scale adapted to the confinement operator.  相似文献

The evolution of Alfvén waves in the presence of a spatially uniform but temporally stochastic magnetic field is considered. Using Stratanovich's method, it is shown that an Alfvén wave is almost surely amplified, if the power spectral density of the magnetic field at twice the wave frequency exceeds a critical value determined by the conductivity of the plasma. Subsequently, a more rigorous and detailed analysis is made using Khasminskii's Theorem. The evolution of the first and the second moments is analyzed. It is shown that the mean wave is actually damped and the second moment is the one which is amplified. Further, it is found that the wave suffers a frequency renormalization. This frequency renormalization is a totally new effect, arising from the more rigorous analysis. The Markovian limit is taken in a more reasonable way. The results reported in the paper are much stronger than the earlier analysis.  相似文献

The multipolar velocity field structures are investigated by 2D momentum conservation equation with 3D equilibrium sheared flows in the full toroidal system. Numerical results show that the non-existence of radial velocity field in equilibrium surfaces is suitable only for the zero-order term of our 2D simulation. The non-zero-order radial velocity field is still preserved, even when converted to conventional magnetic surface coordinates. The distribution of velocity field vectors of the order of 1, 2, and 3 are presented respectively in 2, 4, and 6 polar fields with the local vortex structure. The excitation mechanisms of these velocity vortices are the coupling effects of the magneto-fluid structure patterns and the toroidal effects. These results can help us understand the complexity of core physics, the transverse transport across magnetic field by the radial plasma flow and the formation of velocity vortices.  相似文献

A semianalytic expression for the edge plasma angular toroidal rotation frequency that includes the neoclassical toroidal viscosity braking influence is obtained. Based on the model presented in a previous paper [I.G. Miron, Contrib. Using the method of numerical matrix diagonalization within the effective-mass approximation, we investigated a D--center quantum dot system subjected to a Gaussian potential confinement. We obtain the dependence of binding energies of the ground-states of the D--center on the depth of Gaussian potential and the magnetic field strength. The result shows clearly that the binding energies of the ground-states of the D--center are rather sensitive to the depth of potential and the strength of magnetic field.  相似文献

In this paper, the electron temperature gradient (ETG) instability and corresponding turbulent transport in toroidal plasmas with negative magnetic shear is studied using the integral eigenvalue equations. The full electron kinetics is considered and the behaviours of the modes and the transport in the parameter regimes close to the instability threshold are emphasized. We apply the mathematical technique of quantum mechanics for studying the process of solar magnetic field generation under conditions where the viscosity is negligible and the rotation velocity of the medium is independent of time. It is assumed that the magnetic field is almost toroidal, axially nonsymmetric, and antisymmetric with respect to the equatorial plane.We show that in the presence of an axisymmetric poloidal component of the hydrodynamic velocity and a radial gradient of the angular velocity of the medium, an oscillating solution growing in time exists for the field. The characteristic frequency of oscillations can exceed the rotation frequency if the rotation of the medium is nonuniform. In the case where the characteristic time of field growth amounts to 10 years, the radial velocity of the medium in the field-generation zone is approximately equal to 10 cm/sec. We also discuss briefly the problem of the existence of two field-generation zones.  相似文献

研制了一台磁场可调微波离子源,在离子源放电室处需要的磁场由一组永久磁铁产生,永久磁铁外部安装了铁磁回路,铁磁回路的结构可以很容易的手动调整,通过调整铁磁回路的结构,可以在放电室产生要求的磁场.在调试过程中,也可以调整铁磁回路以改变离子源内部磁场结构,有利于获得最佳放电条件.该源在测试中,从3mm直径的引出孔引出了17mA的离子束.  相似文献
