We study the accretion process in the thin disk around a squashed Kaluza-Klein black hole and probe the effects of the extra dimensional scale ρ0 on the physical properties of the disk. Our results show that with the increase of the parameter ρ0, the energy flux, the conversion efficiency, the radiation temperature, the spectra luminosity and the spectra cut-off frequency of the thin accretion disk decrease, but the inner border of the disk increases. This implies that the extra dimension scale imprints in the mass accretion process in the disk.  相似文献

We study the effects of a thin gaseous accretion disk on the inspiral of a stellar-mass black hole into a supermassive black hole. We construct a phenomenological angular momentum transport equation that reproduces known disk effects. Disk torques modify the gravitational wave phase evolution to detectable levels with LISA for reasonable disk parameters. The Fourier transform of disk-modified waveforms acquires a correction with a different frequency trend than post-Newtonian vacuum terms. Such inspirals could be used to detect accretion disks with LISA and to probe their physical parameters.

We study the accretion process in the thin disk around a rotating non-Kerr black hole with a deformed parameter and an unbound rotation parameter. Our results show that the presence of the deformed parameter ? modifies the standard properties of the disk. For the case in which the black hole is more oblate than a Kerr black hole, the larger deviation leads to the smaller energy flux, the lower radiation temperature and the fainter spectra luminosity in the disk. For the black hole with positive deformed parameter, we find that the effect of the deformed parameter on the disk becomes more complicated. It depends not only on the rotation direction of the black hole and the orbit particles, but also on the sign of the difference between the deformed parameter ?   and a certain critical value ?c?c. These significant features in the mass accretion process may provide a possibility to test the no-hair theorem in the strong-field regime in future astronomical observations.  相似文献

We study holographic superconductors in the Schwarzschild–AdS black hole with a global monopole through a charged complex scalar field. We calculate the condensates of the charged operators in the dual conformal field theories (CFTs) and discuss the effects of the global monopole on the condensation formation. Moreover, we compute the electric conductive using the probe approximation and find that the properties of the conductive are quite similar to those in the Schwarzschild–AdS black hole. These results can help us know more about holographic superconductors in the asymptotic AdS black holes.  相似文献

In this paper, by exploring photon motion in the region near a Bardeen black hole, we studied the shadow and observed properties of the black hole surrounded by various accretion models. We analyzed the changes in shadow imaging and observed luminosity when the relevant physical parameters are changed. For the different spherical accretion backgrounds, we find that the radius of shadow and the position of the photon sphere do not change, but the observed intensity of shadow in the infalling accretion model is significantly lower than that in the static case. We also studied the contribution of the photon rings, lensing rings and direct emission to the total observed flux when the black hole is surrounded by an optically thin disk accretion. Under the different forms of the emission modes, the results show that the observed brightness is mainly determined by direct emission, while the lensing rings will provide a small part of the observed flux, and the flux provided by the photon ring is negligible. By comparing our results with the Schwarzschild spacetime, we find that the existence or change of relevant status parameters will greatly affect the shape and observed intensity of the black hole shadow. These results support the theory that the change of state parameter will affect the spacetime structure, thus affecting the observed features of black hole shadows.  相似文献

Since Rosen's bimetric theory of gravity provides at present a worthy devil's advocate for the black hole hypothesis, it is important for eventual observational work to elaborate the astrophysical consequences and possibilities peculiar to it. We begin to do this by deriving the orbital topography of the spherically symmetric solution to Rosen's field equations-which is relevant to the behavior of relativistic axisymmetric accretion flows-and calculating predicted accretion disk efficiencies, which can be as much as 2.5 times higher than for a disk in Schwarzschild. Thereafter, a brief treatment of the shortest kinematic time scale and the time dilations for in-falling material is given. Finally we show that Birkhoff's theorem does not hold in Rosen's theory, and, therefore, that genuine gravitational monopole radiation is possible. The energy it carries, however, is not positive definite.Supported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration under grant No. NGR-21-002-010.  相似文献

It seems surprising that the emissivity properties of the accretion disk (à la Page and Thorne) surrounding the Gibbons–Maeda–Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger (GMGHS) black holes of heterotic string theory have not yet been studied. To fill this gap in the literature, we study the emissivity properties of the thin accretion disks around these black holes both in the Einstein and in the string frame using the Page–Thorne model. For illustration, we choose as a toy model a stellar-sized spherically symmetric black hole and find that, while the emissivity properties do not significantly differ from those of Reissner–Nordström and Schwarzschild black holes, they remarkably differ at GMGHS extreme limits corresponding to naked singularity and wormhole at higher frequencies. These differences provide a novel way to speculatively conclude about different types of objects from the observational point of view.  相似文献

We consider the most general static spherically symmetric black hole metric. The accretion of the fluid flow around the Van der Waal's black hole is investigated and we calculate the fluid's four-velocity, the critical point and the speed of sound during the accretion process. We also analyze the nature of the universe's density and the mass of the black hole during accretion of the fluid flow. The density of the fluid flow is also taken into account. We observe that the mass is related to redshift. We compare the accreting power of the Van der Waal's black hole with Schwarzschild black hole for different accreting fluid.  相似文献

We study the problem of standing shocks in viscous disc-like accretion flows around black holes. For the first time we parametrize such a flow with two physical constants, namely the specific angular momentum accreted by the black hole j and the energy quantity K. By providing the global dependence of shock formation in the j- K parameter space, we show that a significant parameter region can ensure solutions with Rankine-Hugoniot shocks; and that the possibilities of shock formation are the largest for inviscid flows, decreasing with increasing viscosity, and ceasing to exist for a strong enough viscosity. Our results support the view that the standing shock is an essential ingredient in black hole accretion discs and is a general phenomenon in astrophysics, and that there should be a continuous change from the properties of inviscid flows to those of viscous ones.  相似文献

We consider the evolution of a black hole involving an f(R) global monopole based on the Extended Uncertainty Principle (EUP). The black hole evolutions refer to the instability due to the Parikh-Kraus-Wilczeck tunneling radiation or fragmentation. It is found that the EUP corrections make the entropy difference larger to encourage the black hole to radiate more significantly. We also show that the appearance of the EUP effects results in the black hole's division. The influence from the global monopole and the revision of general relativity can also adjust the black hole evolution simultaneously but cannot change the final result that the black hole will not be stable because of the EUP's effects.  相似文献

We present a model of jet precession driven by a neutrino-cooled disk around a spinning black hole to explain the quasi-periodic features observed in some gamma-ray burst light curves. The different orientations of the rotational axes between the outer part of a neutrino-cooled disk and a black hole result in precessions of the central black hole and the inner part of the disk.Hence, the jet arising from the neutrino annihilation above the inner disk is driven to precession. We find that the period of precession is positively correlated with the mass as well as the spin of a black hole.  相似文献

In this paper the f(R) global monopole is reexamined. We provide an exact solution for the modified field equations in the presence of a global monopole for regions outside its core, generalizing previous results. Additionally, we discuss some particular cases obtained from this solution. We consider a setup consisting of a possible Schwarzschild black hole that absorbs the topological defect, giving rise to a static black hole endowed with a monopole’s charge. Besides, we demonstrate how the asymptotic behavior of the Higgs field far from the monopole’s core is shaped by a class of spacetime metrics which includes the ones analyzed here. In order to assess the gravitational properties of this system, we analyze the geodesic motion of both massive and massless test particles moving in the vicinity of such configuration. For the material particles we set the requirements they have to obey in order to experience stable orbits. On the other hand, for the photons we investigate how their trajectories are affected by the gravitational field of this black hole.  相似文献

In this article, we study the circular motion of particles and the well-known Penrose mechanism around a Kerr-Newman-Kasuya black hole spacetime. The inner and outer horizons, as well as ergosurfaces of the said black hole, are briefly examined under the effect of spin and dyonic charge. Moreover, by limiting our exploration to the equatorial plane, we discuss the characteristics of circular geodesics and investigate both photons, as well as marginally stable circular orbits. It is noted that black hole charge diminishing the radii of photon and marginally stable circular orbits. To investigate the nature of particle dynamics, we studied the effective potential and Lyapunov exponent. While inspecting the process of energy extraction, we derived the Wald inequality, which can help us to locate the energy limits of the Penrose process. Furthermore, we have found expressions for the negative energy states and the efficiency of energy extraction. The obtained result illustrates that both black hole rotation and dyonic charge contributes to the efficiency of energy extraction.  相似文献

We study the motion of bound null geodesics with fixed coordinate radius around a five-dimensional rotating black hole. These spherical photon orbits are not confined to a plane, and can exhibit interesting quasiperiodic behaviour. We provide necessary conditions for the existence of these orbits, and explicitly compute the radii of circular orbits in the equatorial and polar planes. Finally, we plot representative examples of some of the types of possible orbits, commenting on their qualitative features.  相似文献

The quasinormal mode frequencies can be understood from the massless particles trapped at the unstable circular null geodesics and slowly leaking out to infinity. Based on this viewpoint, in this paper, we semiclassically construct the entropy spectrum of the static and stationary black holes from the null geodesics. The result shows that the spacing of the entropy spectrum only depends on the property of the black hole in the eikonal limit. Moreover, for a black hole far from the extremal case, the spacing is found to be smaller than 2π for any dimension, which is very different from the result of the previous work by using the usual quasinormal mode frequencies.  相似文献

The Parikh–Kraus–Wilczeck tunneling radiation of black hole involving a f(R) global monopole is considered based on the generalized uncertainty principle. The influences from global monopole, f(R) gravity and the corrections to the uncertainty appear in the expression of black hole entropy difference. It is found that the global monopole and the revision of general relativity both hinder the black hole from emitting the photons. The two parts as corrections to the uncertainty make the entropy difference of this kind of black hole larger or smaller respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamics of the global monopole anti-de-Sitter black hole in the grand canonical ensemble following the York's formalism. The black hole is enclosed in a cavity with a finite radius where the temperature and potential are fixed. We have studied some thermodynamical properties, i.e. the reduced action, thermal energy and entropy. By investigating the stability of the solutions, we find stable solutions and instantons.  相似文献

As an example of a dynamical cosmological black hole, a spacetime that describes an expanding black hole in the asymptotic background of the Einstein-de Sitter universe is constructed. The black hole is primordial in the sense that it forms ab initio with the big bang singularity and its expanding event horizon is represented by a conformal Killing horizon. The metric representing the black hole spacetime is obtained by applying a time dependent conformal transformation on the Schwarzschild metric, such that the result is an exact solution with a matter content described by a two-fluid source. Physical quantities such as the surface gravity and other effects like perihelion precession, light bending and circular orbits are studied in this spacetime and compared to their counterparts in the gravitational field of the isolated Schwarzschild black hole. No changes in the structure of null geodesics are recorded, but significant differences are obtained for timelike geodesics, particularly an increase in the perihelion precession and the non-existence of circular timelike orbits. The solution is expressed in the Newman-Penrose formalism.  相似文献

When a star is tidally disrupted by a supermassive black hole (SMBH), the streams of liberated gas form an accretion disk after their return to pericenter. We demonstrate that Lense-Thirring precession in the spacetime around a rotating SMBH can produce significant time evolution of the disk angular momentum vector, due to both the periodic precession of the disk and the nonperiodic, differential precession of the bound debris streams. Jet precession and periodic modulation of disk luminosity are possible consequences. The persistence of the jetted x-ray emission in the Swift J164449.3+573451 flare suggests that the jet axis was aligned with the spin axis of the SMBH during this event.  相似文献
