This paper develops the Hirota method carefully for applying into the growing model of quasi-one-dimensional Bose—Einstein condensations with attractive and repulsive interaction, respectively. After a tedious calculation it obtains the exact bright and dark soliton solutions analytically. It shows that the growing model has the important effect on the soliton amplitude and the time-dependent potential only contributes to the phase and phase velocity. A detailed analysis for the asymptotic behaviour of two-soliton solutions shows that the collision of two soliton is elastic.  相似文献

A theoretical analysis for the laminar boundary layer flow of a non-Newtonian fluid on a continuous moving flat plate with surface strong suction/blowing is made. The types of potential flows necessary for similar solutions to the boundary layer are determined and both analytical and numerical solutions are presented. It is shown that the solution of the boundary layer problem depends not only on the ratio of the velocity of the plate to the velocity of the free stream, but also on the suction/blowing parameter. The skin friction decreases with increasing the parameters of power law and blowing. In the case of existing suction, the shear force decreases with the increases of tangential velocity, the largest shear force occurs at wall and the smallest shear force occurs at the edge of the boundary laryer. However, in the case of existing surface blowing, the shear force initially increases with tangential velocity and the biggest shear force occurs at the interior of the boundary layer, the skin friction approaches to zero as the blowing rate approaches the critical value.  相似文献

Bifurcation solutions are numerically presented for reverse flow boundary layer equations with special suction/injection by utilizing similarity transformation and shooting technique.The results indicate that both superior solution and inferior solution are noticeable.The skin friction and shear stress for the superior solution decrease with the increases of the ratio of surface velocity to free stream velocity and suction/injection.The behaviour is opposite to that for the inferior solution.Both the skin frictions for the superior and inferior solutions decrease with increasing the power law parameter.The inferior solution approaches the superior solution with increasing the velocity ratio and suction/injection.When power law is unit and suction/injection is zero,the superior solution approaches the classical Blasius solution as the velocity ratio approaches zero.  相似文献

We consider the one-dimensional nonlinear Schrǒdinger equations that describe the dynamics of a Bose-Einstein Condensates with time-dependent scattering length in a complex potential. Our results show that as long as the integrable relation is satisfied, exact solutions of the one-dimensional nonlinear Schrǒdinger equation can be found in a general closed form, and interactions between two solitons are modulated in a complex potential We find that the changes of the scattering length and trapping potential can be effectively used to control the interaction between two bright soliton.  相似文献

We construct, through a further extension of the tanh-function method, the matter-wave solutions of Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with a three-body interaction. The BECs are trapped in a potential comprising the linear magnetic and the time-dependent laser fields. The exact solutions obtained include soliton solutions, such as kink and antikink as well as bright, dark, multisolitonic modulated waves. We realize that the motion and the shape of the solitary wave can be manipulated by controlling the strengths of the fields.  相似文献

We report the n x n' coherence-like state solutions in the cases of n, n' = 1, 2,... for the system including two Coulomb-correlated ions confined in a one-dimensional Paul trap with a time-dependent harmonic potential. One of the n' exact solutions of the centre-of-mass motion describes a generalized coherent state. For a small driving strength the n approximate solutions of relative motion are constructed, which describe the coherent oscillations of the two ions around the classical equilibrium position.  相似文献

In this paper,we investigate some exact soliton solutions for a generalized variable-coefficients nonlinear Schrdinger equation (NLS) with an arbitrary time-dependent linear potential which describes the dynamics of soliton solutions in quasi-one-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensations. Under some reasonable assumptions,one-soliton and two-soliton solutions are constructed analytically by the Hirota method. From our results,some previous one-and two-soliton solutions for some NLS-type equations can be recovered by some appropriate selection of the various parameters. The energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Schroedinger equation for Eckart potential as well as the parity-time-symmetric version of the potential in three dimensions with the centrifugal term are investigated approximately by using the Nikitbrov-Uvarov method. To show the accuracy of our results, we calculate the energy eigenvalues for various values of n and l. It is found that the results are in good agreement with the numerical solutions for short-range potential (large α). For the case of 1/α =〉 i/α, the potential is also studied briefly.  相似文献

We consider a spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in a harmonic potential with different nonlinearity coeffi- cients. We illustrate the dynamics of soliton breathers in two-component and three-component states by numerically solv- ing the one-dimensional time-dependent coupled Gross-Pitaecskii equations (GPEs). We present that two condensates with repulsive interspecies interactions make elastic collision and novel soliton breathers are created in two-component state. We also demonstrate novel soliton breathers in three-component state with attractive coupling constants. Furthermore, possible reasons for creating soliton breathers are discussed.  相似文献

For two-component disk-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates with repulsive atom-atom interaction, the small amplitude, finite and long wavelength nonlinear waves can be described by a Kadomtsev-Petviashvili-Ⅰ equation at the lowest order from the originai coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations. One- and two-soliton solutions of the Kadomtsev- Petviashvili-1 equation are given, therefore, the wave functions of both atomic gases are obtained as well. The instability of a soliton under higher-order long wavelength disturbance has been investigated. It is found that the instability depends on the angle between two directions of both soliton and disturbance.  相似文献

We investigate a kind of solitons in the two-component Bose-Einstein condensates with axisymmetric configurations in the R2 × S1 space. The corresponding topological structure is referred to as Hopfion. The spin texture differs from the conventional three-dimensional (3D) skyrmion and knot, which is characterized by two homotopy invariants. The stability of the Hopfion is verified numerically by evolving the Gross-Pitaevskii equations in imaginary time.  相似文献

We study the adiabatic tunneling of Bose–Einstein condensates in a symmetric double-well potential when the interaction strength between the atoms is modulated linearly or in a cosine periodic form. It is shown that the system evolves along a nonlinear eigenstate path. In the case of linear modulation under the adiabatic approximation conditions, the tunneling probability of the condensate atoms to the other potential well is half. However, when the system is periodically scanned in the adiabatic process, we find an interesting phenomenon. A small change in the cycle period can lead to the condensate atoms returning to the right well or tunneling to the left well. The system comes from a linear eigenstate back to a nonlinear one, which is completely different from the linear eigenstate evolution. We explain the results by using the energy level and the phase diagram.  相似文献

We present a detailed study to analyze the Dicke quantum phase transition within the thermodynamic limit for an optomechanically driven Bose-Einstein condensate in a cavity. The photodetection-based quantum optical measurements have been performed to study the dynamics and excitations of this optomechanical Dicke system. For this, we discuss the eigenvalue analysis, fluorescence spectrum and the homodyne spectrum of the system. It has been shown that the normal phase is negligibly affected by the mechanical mode of the mirror while it has a significant effect in the superradiant phase. We have observed that the eigenvalues and the spectra both exhibit distinct features that can be identified with the photonic, atomic and phononic branches. In the fluorescence spectra, we further observe an asymmetric coherent energy exchange between the three degrees of freedom of the system in the superradiant phase arising as a result of optomechanical interaction and Bloch-Siegert shift.  相似文献

The entanglement entropy of an acoustic black hole in a Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) is derived, which is associated with the phonons generated via the Hawking mechanism in a sonic hole. Considering the dispersion relation of a BEC, we recalculate the entanglement entropy of the acoustic black hole by means of statistical method in two limits. We find that the entropy is still proportional to the area of event horizon, but with a coefficient dependent on the infrared cutoff.  相似文献

Using the F-expansion method we present analytical matter-wave solutions to Bose-Einstein condensates with two- and three-body interactions through the generalized three-dimensional Gross-Pitaevskii equation with time- dependent coefficients, for the periodically time-varying interactions and quadratic potential strength. Such solutions exist under certain conditions, and impose constraints on the functions describing potential strength, nonlinearities, and gain (loss). Various shapes of analytical matter-wave solutions which have important applications of physical interest are s~udied in details.  相似文献

We investigate the transport dynamics of an interacting binary Bose-Einstein condensate in an incommensurate optical lattice and predict a novel splitting of a matter wavepacket induced by disorder potential and inter-species interaction. The effect of atomic interaction on the dynamics of the mobile and localized atoms are also studied in detail. We also discuss the behavior of the balanced and inbalanced mixtures in the incommensurate optical lattice.  相似文献
