Rate coefficients of XeO(1S) at various vibrational levels (v = 0, 1 and 2) were observed by measuring absolute intensities of the spectrum in the low-pressure d.c. glow of an Xe-O2 mixture discharge. The association coefficients at the various levels are Ka0 = 2.4×10-34 cm6 at v = 0, Ka1 = 1.1 × 10-34 cm6 atv = 1, and Ka2 = 9.1 × 10-35 cm6 at v = 2. Radiative lifetimes have been calculated for 15 levels of Xe VII belonging to the configurations 5s5p, 5p2, 5s5d, 5s6s, 5p5d, 4f5p, 5p5d and 5s5f and for 4 levels of the 5p and 5d configurations of Xe VIII. A relativistic Hartree-Fock
approach including core-polarization effects, on the one hand, and a purely relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock method,
on the other hand, have been used for the calculations. The accuracy of the present set of results has been assessed through
comparisons with radiative lifetime measurements obtained by beam-foil spectroscopy. A good agreement between theory and experiment
is observed for most of the levels. A new set of transition probabilities is proposed for 169 transitions of Xe VII and 45

The purpose of this paper is to show the possibility of introducing a non-symmetric transition probability in quantum mechanics, starting from the axiomatic basis of the theory known as the “quantum logic approach”. The quantum-mechanical postulates are later reformulated in the language of the transition probability and the operations (filtering procedures) transforming pure states of a physical system into themselves, ans some advantages of this formulation are shown consisting mainly in resolving the old troubles connected with quantum logics (e.g., the questions of the complete lattice structure of the logic, atomicity, the validity of the covering law).As a consequence of the axioms assumed, the representation theorem for the logic of proposition is deduced. 相似文献

Studies of high-presure Hg-TlI a.c. (50 Hz) arc plasmas have been used to verify the validity of Boltzmann statistics at the moment of maximum electron density (5 ms) by applying LTE criteria.
