A perfluorooctanesulfonic acid-doped polyaniline (PFOS-doped PANI) directly electrodeposited onto stainless steel was employed as a solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber. Commercial SPME fibers were chosen to compare with the PFOS-doped PANI through extraction of phenols and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). Excellent extraction efficiency of this fiber was demonstrated, indicating its good affinity for both non-/less polar and polar compounds. To achieve maximum response, influential parameters affecting the extraction efficiency were optimized by full-factorial experimental designs. Under the optimized conditions, the analytical features for PBDEs were estimated. The calibration curve was linear approximately 3 orders of magnitude for the target analytes, with linear correlation coefficients greater than 0.99. Detection limits in the range of 0.1–0.2 ng/L were obtained. Repeatability (n = 5) was in the range of 4.5–8.3%. The results suggest that the proposed fiber can be applied for the determination of trace PBDEs in environmental water and expected to be extended to other analytes and matrices.  相似文献

A novel solid-phase microextraction (SPME) Pt fiber coated with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) was prepared by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) and applied to the determination of phenols in aqueous samples by direct immersion (DI)-SPME-HPLC-UV. The results revealed that EPD was a simple and reproducible technique for the preparation of SPME fibers coated with SWCNTs without the use of adhesive. The obtained SWCNT coating did not swell in organic solvents nor strip off from substrate, and possessed high mechanical strength due to the strong Van der Waals attractions between the surfaces of the SWCNTs. The prepared SPME fiber was conductive since both SWCNT coating and Pt wire were conductive. Using Pt wire as substrate, the fiber was unbreakable. Owing to the presence of oxygenated groups on SWCNTs and the high surface area of SWCNTs, the SWCNT fiber was similar to or superior to commercial PA fiber in extracting the studied phenols from aqueous sample. A durability of more than 80 analyses was achieved for one unique fiber. Under optimized conditions, the detection limits for the phenols varied between 0.9 and 3.8 ng/mL, the precisions were in the range of 0.7–3.2% (n = 3), and linear ranges were within 10 and 300 ng/mL. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of spiked seawater and tap water samples with the recoveries from 87.5 to 102.0%.  相似文献

In this article, the potential of carbon nanocones/disks as coating for solid-phase microextraction has been evaluated for the first time. The nanostructures were immobilized on a stainless steel needle by means of an organic binder. The fiber coating obtained was ca. 50 μm of thickness and 35 mm in length. The evaluation of the sorbent capacity was carried out through the determination of toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene isomers and styrene in water samples following the headspace sampling modality (15 min, 30 °C). The fiber was then transferred to a 10 mL vial which was sealed and heated at 110 °C for 15 min in the headspace module of the instrument to achieve the thermal desorption of the analytes. Then 2.5 mL of the headspace generated were injected in the gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer for analytes separation and quantitation. The detection and quantitation limits obtained for 10 mL of sample were 0.15 and 0.5 ng mL−1 (0.6 and 2 ng mL−1 for toluene). The optimized procedure was applied to the determination of the selected volatile compounds in waters collected from different locations. The recovery values obtained (average recovery ca. 92%) demonstrated the usefulness of the carbon nanocones/disks as sorbent material in solid-phase microextraction.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of pirimicarb in tomato and pear using polymer monolith microextraction (PMME) based on the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) monolith combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-photodiodes array detector (HPLC-PAD) was developed. By optimizing the polymerization conditions, such as the nature of porogenic solvent and functional monomer, the molar ratio of the monomer and cross-linker, an pirimicarb MIP monolith was synthesized in a micropipette tip using methacrylic acid (MAA) as the functional monomer, ethylene dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker and the mixture of toluene-dodecanol as the porogenic solvent. The MIP monolith showed highly specific recognition for the template pirimicarb. The monolith was applied for the selective extraction of pirimicarb in tomato and pear. Several parameters affecting MIP-PMME were investigated, including the nature and volume of extraction solvent, sample volume, flow rate and sample pH. Under the optimum PMME and HPLC conditions, the linear ranges were 2.0-1400 μg/kg for pirimicarb in tomato and pear with the correlation coefficient of above 0.999. The detection limits (s/n=3) were both 0.6 μg/kg. The proposed method was successfully applied for the selective extraction and determination of pirimicarb in tomato and pear.  相似文献

Two kinds of porous carbon materials, including carbon aerogels (CAs), wormhole-like mesoporous carbons (WMCs), were synthesized and used as the coatings of solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fibers. By using stainless steel wire as the supporting core, six types of fibers were prepared with sol-gel method, direct coating method and direct coating plus sol-gel method. Headspace SPME experiments indicated that the extraction efficiencies of the CA fibers are better than those of the WMC fibers, although the surface area of WMCs is much higher than that of CAs. The sol-gel-CA fiber (CA-A) exhibited excellent extraction properties for non-polar compounds (BTEX, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene), while direct-coated CA fiber (CA-B) presented the best performance in extracting polar compounds (phenols). The two CA fibers showed wide linear ranges, low detection limits (0.008-0.047μgL(-1) for BTEX, 0.15-5.7μgL(-1) for phenols) and good repeatabilities (RSDs less than 4.6% for BTEX, and less than 9.5% for phenols) and satisfying reproducibilities between fibers (RSDs less than 5.2% for BTEX, and less than 9.9% for phenols). These fibers were successfully used for the analysis of water samples from the Pearl River, which demonstrated the applicability of the home-made CA fibers.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel graphene (G) based solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber was firstly prepared by immobilizing the synthesized G on stainless steel wire as coating. The new fiber possessed a homogeneous, porous and wrinkled surface and showed excellent thermal (over 330 °C), chemical and mechanical stability, and long lifespan (over 250 extractions). The SPME performance of the G-coated fiber was evaluated in detail through extraction of six pyrethroid pesticides. Although the thickness of G-coated fiber was only 6-8 μm, its extraction efficiencies were higher than those of two commercial fibers (PDMS, 100 μm; PDMS/DVB, 65 μm). This high extraction efficiency may be mainly attributed to huge delocalized π-electron system of G, which shows strong π-stacking interaction with pyrethroid pesticide. The G-coated fiber was applied in the gas chromatographic determination of six pyrethroids, and their limits of detection were found to be ranged from 3.69 to 69.4 ng L−1. The reproducibility for each single fiber was evaluated and the relative standard deviations (RSDs) were calculated to be in the range from 1.9% to 6.5%. The repeatability of fiber-to-fiber and batch-to-batch was 4.3-9.2% and 4.1-9.9%. The method developed was successfully applied to three pond water samples, and the recoveries were 83-110% at a spiking of 1 μg L−1.  相似文献

A new solid-phase microextraction (SPME) procedure using an ionic liquid (IL) has been developed. Reusable IL-based SPME fiber was prepared for the first time by fixing IL through cross-linkage of IL impregnated silicone elastomer on the surface of a fused silica fiber. 1-Ethoxyethyl-3-methylimidazloium bis(trifluoromethane) sulfonylimide ([EeMim][NTf2]) ionic liquid was employed as a demonstration and the prepared fiber was applied to the forensic headspace determination of methamphetamine (MAP) and amphetamine (AP) in human urine samples. Important extraction parameters including the concentration of salt and base in sample matrix, extraction temperature and extraction time were investigated and optimized. Combined with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) working in selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode, the new method showed good linearity in the range of 20–1500 μg L−1, good repeatability (RSD < 7.5% for MAP, and <11.5% for AP, n = 6), and low detection limits (0.1 μg L−1 for MAP and 0.5 μg L−1 for AP). Feasibility of the method was evaluated by analyzing human urine samples. Although IL-based SPME is still at the beginning of its development stage, the results obtained by this work showed that it is a promising simple, fast and sensitive sample preparation method.  相似文献

A novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) monolith for highly selective extraction of cholecystokinin (CCK) neuropeptides was prepared in a micropipette tip. The MIPs were synthesized by epitope imprinting technique and the polymerization conditions were investigated and optimized. The synthesized MIPs were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, elemental analyzer and scanning electron microscope. A molecularly imprinted solid‐phase microextraction (MI‐μ‐SPE) method was developed for the extraction of CCK neuropeptides in aqueous solutions. The parameters affecting MI‐μ‐SPE were optimized. The results indicated that this MIP monolith exhibited specific recognition capability and high enrichment efficiency for CCK neuropeptides. In addition, it showed excellent reusability. This MIP monolith was used for desalting and enrichment of CCK4, CCK5 and CCK8 from human cerebrospinal fluid prior to matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry analysis, and the results show that this MIP monolith can be a useful tool for effective purification and highly selective enrichment of multiple homologous CCK neuropeptides in cerebrospinal fluid simultaneously. By employing MI‐μ‐SPE combined with HPLC‐ESI‐MS/MS analysis, endogenous CCK4 in human cerebrospinal fluid was quantified. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this work, a C18 composite solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber was prepared with a new method and applied to the analysis of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in water sample. A stainless steel wire (o.d. 127 μm) was used as the substrate, and a mixture of the C18 particle (3.5 μm) and the 184 silicone was used as the coating material. During the process of fiber preparation, a section of capillary column was used to fix the mixture onto the stainless steel wire and to ensure the constant of coating thickness. The prepared fiber showed excellent thermal stability and solvent resistance. By coupling with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS), the fiber exhibited wide linearity (2–500 ng L−1) and good sensitivity for the determination of six OCPs in water samples, the OCPs tested included hexachlorobezene, trans-chlordane, cis-chlordane, o,p-DDT, p,p-DDT and mirex. Not only the extraction performance of the newly prepared fiber was more than seven times higher than those of commercial fibers, the limits of detections (LODs) (0.059–0.151 ng L−1) for OCPs achieved under optimized conditions were also lower than those of reported SPME methods. The fiber was successfully applied to the determination of OCPs in real water samples by using developed SPME–GC–MS method.  相似文献

Low-temperature nonthermal plasma has been used to prepare solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fibers with high adsorbability, long-term serviceability, and high reproducibility. Graphite rods serving as fiber precursors were treated by an air plasma discharged at 15.2-15.5 kV for a duration of 8 min. Sampling results revealed that the adsorptive capacity of the homemade fiber was 2.5-34.6 times that of a polyacrylate (PA) fiber for alcohols (methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol), and about 1.4-1.6 times and 2.5-5.1 times that of an activated carbon fiber (ACF) for alcohols and BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes), respectively. It is confirmed from FTIR (Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer) and SEM (scanning electron microscope) analyses that the improvement in the adsorptive performance attributed to increased surface energy and roughness of the graphite fiber. Using gas chromatography (GC)-flame-ionization detector (FID), the limits of detection (LODs) of the alcohols and BTEX ranged between 0.19 and 3.75 μg L−1, the linear ranges were between 0.6 and 35619 μg L−1 with good linearity (R2 = 0.9964-0.9997). It was demonstrated that nonthermal plasma offers a fast and simple method for preparing an efficient graphite SPME fiber, and that SPME using the homemade fiber represents a sensitive and selective extraction method for the analysis of a wide range of organic compounds.  相似文献

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have received great attention as novel sorbents due to their fascinating structures and intriguing potential applications in various fields. In this work, a MIL-101(Cr)-coated solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber was fabricated by a simple direct coating method and applied to the determination of volatile compounds (BTEX, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, m-xylene and o-xylene) and semi-volatile compounds (PAHs, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) from water samples. The extraction and desorption conditions of headspace SPME (HS-SPME) were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the established methods exhibited excellent extraction performance. Good precision (<7.7%) and low detection limits (0.32–1.7 ng L−1 and 0.12–2.1 ng L−1 for BTEX and PAHs, respectively) were achieved. In addition, the MIL-101(Cr)-coated fiber possessed good thermal stability, and the fiber can be reused over 150 times. The fiber was successfully applied to the analysis of BTEX and PAHs in river water by coupling with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The analytes at low concentrations (1.7 and 10 ng L−1) were detected, and the recoveries obtained with the spiked river water samples were in the range of 80.0–113% and 84.8–106% for BTEX and PAHs, respectively, which demonstrated the applicability of the self-made fiber.  相似文献

A novel solid-phase microextraction technique using a hollow fiber-supported sol–gel combined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes was employed in the determination of phenobarbital in wastewater. In this new technique, a silica-based, organic–inorganic polymer containing functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was prepared with sol–gel technology via the reaction of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) with an acidic catalyst (HCl). This sol was injected into a polypropylene hollow fiber segment for in situ gelation. This device operated in direct immersion sampling mode. The experimental setup is simple and affordable, and the device is disposable, so there is no risk of cross-contamination or carry-over. Parameters affecting extraction such as pH of the aqueous solution, ageing and extraction times, aqueous sample volume, agitation speed and carbon nanotube amount were optimized. Linearity was observed over a range of 0.50–5000 ng mL−1, with an estimation coefficient (r2) higher than 0.982. The limit of detection (LOD) was 0.32 ng mL−1 (n = 5), and repeatability (RSD% = 2.9) was from the average of three levels of analyte concentrations (1, 1000 and 4500 ng mL−1) with three replicates for each within a single day. Finally, a pre-concentration factor of 2100 was obtained for phenobarbital.  相似文献

A novel polyaniline (PANI) coating was prepared on a stainless-steel wire for solid-phase microextraction by electroplating method. For better mechanical strength, the stainless-steel wire was used instead of the fused silica fiber. The electroplating method had advantages of ease of preparation and simple equipments. The PANI fiber was evaluated by analyzing six aromatic amines (aniline, N,N-dimethylaniline, m-methylaniline, 2,4-dimethylaniline, 2-chloroaniline, 3,4-dichloroaniline) in water. After the analytical procedure was optimized, the linearity was from 4.8 to 2.75 x 10(4) microg L(-1) and the detection limits was from 0.019 to 1.06 microg L(-1). Relative standard deviations were found to be 2.02-6.00%. Good recoveries were obtained when wastewater samples were analyzed.  相似文献

Carbon fibers (CFs) were modified with carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) by a facile and fast flame preparation method. CNPs-CFs were observed by scanning electron microscope, and the nano-scaled granular structure on the surface was found. This material was also characterized by Raman microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscope. It was placed into a polyetheretherketone tube to get an extraction tube, which was connected with high performance liquid chromatography for online analysis. The tube displayed the effective extraction to several polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), based on the possible hydrophobic and π stacking mechanism. Under the optimized conditions (60 mL of sample volume, 2.00 mL min?1 of sample rate, 0.5% of methanol in sample, 2.0 min of desorption time), an analytical method towards these PAH targets was established. The low limits of detection (0.001–0.005 μg L?1), satisfactory linear ranges (0.003–5.0 μg L?1, 0.003–10.0 μg L?1) and efficient enrichment factors (1012–3164) were presented. The method was applied to detect trace targets in several water samples and satisfactory results were obtained. The method provided some superiorities over other analytical methods, like online test, shorter time and better sensitivity.  相似文献

In this study, the application of different activated carbon-polymer (AC-polymer) monoliths as adsorbents for the solid-phase microextraction (SPME) of phthalate esters (PAEs) in water sample were investigated. The activated carbon (AC) was embedded in organic polymers, poly(butyl methacrylate-co-ethylene dimethacrylate) (poly(BMA-EDMA)) or poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) (poly(STY-DVB)), via a 5-min microwave-assisted or a 15-min water bath heating polymerization. Preliminary investigation on the performance of the native poly(BMA-EDMA) and poly(STY-DVB) demonstrated remarkable adsorption efficiencies for PAEs. However, due to the strong hydrophobic, π-π, and hydrogen bonding interactions between the analytes and polymers, low extraction recoveries were achieved. In contrast, the presence of AC in native polymers not only enhanced the adsorption efficiencies but also assisted the PAE desorption, especially for AC-poly(STY-DVB) with extraction recovery ranged of 76.2–99.3%. Under the optimized conditions, the extraction recoveries for intra-, inter-day and column-to-column were in the range of 76.5–100.8% (<3.7% RSDs), 77.2–97.6% (<5.6% RSDs) and 75.5–99.7% (<6.2% RSDs), respectively. The developed AC-poly(STY-DVB) monolithic column showed good mechanical stability, which can be reused for more than 30 extraction times without any significant loss in the extraction recoveries of PAEs. The AC-poly(STY-DVB) monolithic column was successfully applied in SPME of PAEs in water sample with extraction recovery ranged of 78.8%–104.6% (<5.5% RSDs).  相似文献

A new sol-gel application for the development of SPME fibers is described. Phenyltrimethoxysilane (PTMOS) and methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMOS) were the sol-gel precursors used at different proportions, together with different water contents, catalyst and reaction time. It was observed that obtaining a good film quality was determinant for a good extracting fiber performance. The film thickness ranged 0.2-1 microm and could not be increased by multi-coating processes. Apparently, a dense, non-porous microstructure was obtained. These coatings exhibited a strong hydrophobic character, as shown by the capability of extraction of long chain and apolar aromatic compounds, which, was comparable to that of the 100 microm polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and 65 microm carbowax-divinylbenzene (CW-DVB). The developed fiber has shown high thermal (350 degrees C) and organic solvent stability (ethanol, toluene and dichloromethane), thus bearing adequate characteristics to be associated to GC and potentialities that may also envisage suitability for HPLC. The new fibers may be useful for the microextraction of non-polar compounds, although at trace levels and in simple matrixes only, due to the susceptibility to competition.  相似文献

Two kinds of mesoporous cellular foams (MCFs), including mesoporous silica materials (MCF-1) and phenyl modified mesoporous materials (Ph-MCF-1), were synthesized and for the first time used as fiber-coating materials for solid-phase microextraction (SPME). By using stainless steel wire as the supporting core, four types of fibers were prepared by sol–gel method and immobilized by epoxy-resin method. To evaluate the performance of the home-made fibers for SPME, seven brominated flame retardants (BFRs), including tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA), tetrabromobisphenol S (TBBPS) and related compounds were selected as analytes. The main parameters that affect the extraction and desorption efficiencies, such as extraction temperature, extraction time, desorption time, stirring rate and ionic strength of samples were investigated and optimized. The optimized SPME coupled with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was successfully applied to the determination of the seven BFRs in water samples. The linearity range was from 5.0 to 1000 μg L−1 for each compound except TBBPS (from 1.0 to 1000 μg L−1), with the correlation coefficients (r2) ranging from 0.9993 to 0.9999. The limits of detection of the method were 0.4–0.9 μg L−1. The relative standard deviations varied from 1.2 to 5.1% (n = 5). The repeatability of fiber-to-fiber and batch-to-batch was 2.5–6.5% and 3.2–6.7%. The recoveries of the BFRs from aqueous samples were in the range between 86.5 and 103.6%. Compared with three commercial fibers (100 μm PDMS, 85 μm PA and 65 μm PDMS/DVB), the MCFs-coated fiber showed about 3.5-fold higher extraction efficiency.  相似文献

A relatively selective, chemically and physically robust SPME fiber was developed in a simple way with testosterone-imprinted polymer, and then directly coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for selective extraction and analysis of anabolic steroids. The factors influencing polymerization (i.e., cross-linker, polymerization solvent, polymerization time) were optimized in detail and the polymer was characterized by scanning electron microscope, infrared spectrometer and thermogravimetric analyzer. Furthermore, the extraction performance of the MIP-coated SPME fibers such as extraction ability and selectivity was evaluated. Moreover, the interaction mode between target analytes and fiber coating was deducted. Finally, the method for extraction and determination of androsterone, stanolone, androstenedione and methyltestosterone by the homemade MIP-coated SPME fibers with GC-MS was obtained. It was applied to the simultaneous analysis of four anabolic steroids in the spiked human urine with the satisfactory recoveries.  相似文献

A novel solid-phase microextraction (SPME) method based on molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) monolith as the sorbent for the selective extraction of thiamphenicol (TAP) in milk and honey was developed. The newly developed MIP monolith was produced using TAP as the template molecule, 4-vinylpyridine (4-VP) as the functional monomer. The TAP-MIP monolith synthesized in a micropipette tip could be connected with syringes in different sizes simply to perform SPME process without any other treatment. The derivated MIP monolith showed high selectivity and enrichment ability for TAP. A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of TAP in milk and honey using polymer monolith microextraction (PMME) based on the MIP monolith combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-photodiodes array detector was developed. Several parameters affecting MIP monolith microextraction were investigated, including the flow rate, volume, pH and salt concentration of sample, the type and volume of washing solution, the type and flow rate of eluent. The recovery of this method for TAP was investigated and high recoveries of 92.9-99.3% from milk and honey were obtained with relative standard deviations less than 4.9%.  相似文献
