The highly selective, fast and effective sample pretreatment technique molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) can overcome the low sensitivity of the highly efficient capillary electrophoresis-UV method (CE-UV). In this work, narrowly dispersible bisphenol A (BPA)-imprinted polymeric microspheres with a high capacity factor of k′ = 6.8 and an imprinted factor of I = 6.53 were investigated as selective solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents for use in extraction of BPA from different sample matrices (tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine). Washing and eluting protocols of MISPE were optimized. Under optimal conditions, recoveries of MISPE were investigated. Recoveries were basically constant and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was lower than 5.8% when loading volumes changed from 1 to 50 mL. Recoveries ranged from 71.20% to 86.23% for different sample matrices. Compared with C18 SPE, MISPE had higher selectivity and recovery for BPA. BPA was determined with good accuracy and precision in different complex samples using CE-UV coupled with MISPE. Spiked recoveries ranged from 95.20% to 105.40%, and the RSD was less than 7.2%. Because a large loading volume was achieved, the enrichment efficiency of pretreatment and the sensitivity of this method were improved. The limits of detection of this MISPE-CE-UV method for BPA in tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine were 3.0 μg L− 1, 5.4 μg L− 1, 6.9 μg L− 1, 2.1 μg L− 1, 1.8 μg L− 1 and 84 μg L− 1, respectively.  相似文献

A bisphenol A (BPA) molecularly imprinted polymer, the composition of which was optimised using a chemometric approach, has been applied to the selective preconcentration of the template from aqueous samples. The selectivity of the polymer toward BPA and related compounds was evaluated chromatographically. The BPA-imprinted polymer was packed in a column and used for continuous on-column solid-phase extraction (MISPE) of aqueous samples followed by subsequent analysis by HPLC with fluorescence detection of the eluted fractions. The composition of the washing solvent applied in the MISPE procedure was optimised to favour the specific interactions of the MIP with BPA and to remove the non-selectively bound matrix components. The MISPE method has proven to be effective for selective preconcentration of BPA in aqueous samples (recoveries >84% obtained in the eluate for 10–100 mL sample volumes) enabling detection and quantification limits of 1.0 and 3.3 ng mL–1, respectively (based on 25 mL sample size). Analytical recoveries were between 92 and 101% for river water samples spiked with known amounts of BPA (30, 60, and 80 ng mL–1); relative standard deviations (RSD) were lower than 5.0%.  相似文献

A novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) that was applied to a solid-phase micro-extraction (SPME) device, which could be coupled directly to gas chromatograph and mass spectrometer (GC/MS), was prepared using dibutyl phthalate (DBP) as the template molecule. The characteristics and application of this fiber were investigated. Electron microscope images indicated that the MIP-coated solid-phase micro-extraction (MI-SPME) fibers were homogeneous and porous. The extraction yield of DBP with the MI-SPME fibers was higher than that of the non-imprinted polymer (NIP)-coated SPME (NI-SPME) fibers. The MI-SPME fibers had a higher selectivity to other phthalates that had similar structures as DBP. A method was developed for the determination of phthalates using MI-SPME fibers coupled with GC/MS. The extraction conditions were optimized. Detection limits for the phthalate samples were within the range of 2.17-20.84 ng L−1. The method was applied to five kinds of phthalates dissolved in spiked aqueous samples and resulted in recoveries of up to 94.54-105.34%, respectively. Thus, the MI-SPME fibers are suitable for the extraction of trace phthalates in complicated samples.  相似文献

Leakage of the residual template molecules is one of the biggest challenges for application of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) in solid-phase extraction (SPE). In this study, bisphenol F (BPF) was adopted as a dummy template to prepare MIP of bisphenol A (BPA) with a superparamagnetic core–shell nanoparticle as the supporter, aiming to avoid residual template leakage and to increase the efficiency of SPE. Characterization and test of the obtained products (called mag-DMIP beads) revealed that these novel nanoparticles not only had excellent magnetic property but also displayed high selectivity to the target molecule BPA. As mag-DMIP beads were adopted as the adsorbents of solid-phase extraction for detecting BPA in real water samples, the recoveries of spiked samples ranged from 84.7% to 93.8% with the limit of detection of 2.50 pg mL−1, revealing that mag-DMIP beads were efficient SPE adsorbents.  相似文献

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were prepared using bisphenol A (BPA) as a template by precipitation polymerization. The polymer that had the highest binding selectivity and ability was used as solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents for direct extraction of BPA from different biological and environmental samples (human serum, pig urine, tap water and shrimp). The extraction protocol was optimized and the optimum conditions were as follows: conditioning with 5 mL methanol–acetic acid (3:1), 5 mL methanol, 5 mL acetonitrile and 5 mL water, respectively, loading with 5 mL aqueous samples, washing with 1 mL acetonitrile, and eluting with 3 mL methanol. MIPs can selectively recognize, effectively trap and preconcentrate BPA over a concentration range of 2–20 μM. Recoveries ranged from 94.03 to 105.3 %, with a relative standard deviation lower than 7.9 %. Under the optimal condition, molecularly imprinted SPE recoveries of spiked human serum, pig urine, tap water and shrimp were 65.80, 82.32, 76.00 and 75.97 %, respectively, when aqueous samples were applied directly. Compared with C18 SPE, a better baseline, better high-performance liquid chromatography separation efficiency and higher recoveries were achieved after molecularly imprinted SPE.   相似文献

A cross‐linked methacrylate molecularly imprinted polymer (poly‐4‐vinylpyridine‐co‐trimethylolpropane‐trimethacrylate) selective for bisphenol A (BPA) was synthesized, using a fluorinated BPA derivative (4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)‐diphenol) as a mimic template, and applied to the analysis of real‐world samples of process and potable waters. The molecularly imprinted polymer also showed a high affinity and selectivity for 17‐β‐estradiol and ethynylestradiol. A method to analyze BPA, 17‐β‐estradiol, and ethynylestradiol at ultratrace levels was thus developed from a screening procedure to monitor endocrine‐disrupting chemicals in water samples. The method consists of the BPA‐selective cleanup by molecularly imprinted SPE using cartridges packed with the polymer developed, its recovery by stir bar sorptive extraction after ad hoc derivatization to obtain the corresponding BPA‐acetate, and its analysis by GC‐time window‐SIM‐MS after online thermal desorption. The method showed good linearity in the working range (R2=0.9969), high repeatability (RSD% <10.1), recoveries always above 90%, and very low LOD (10 pg/L) and LOQ (1 ng/L) and can easily be extended to the determination of 17‐β‐estradiol and ethynylestradiol ultratraces. The method's effectiveness was evaluated by analyzing the real‐world water samples; it enabled preconcentration and detection of BPA at ultratrace levels.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of pirimicarb in tomato and pear using polymer monolith microextraction (PMME) based on the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) monolith combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-photodiodes array detector (HPLC-PAD) was developed. By optimizing the polymerization conditions, such as the nature of porogenic solvent and functional monomer, the molar ratio of the monomer and cross-linker, an pirimicarb MIP monolith was synthesized in a micropipette tip using methacrylic acid (MAA) as the functional monomer, ethylene dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker and the mixture of toluene-dodecanol as the porogenic solvent. The MIP monolith showed highly specific recognition for the template pirimicarb. The monolith was applied for the selective extraction of pirimicarb in tomato and pear. Several parameters affecting MIP-PMME were investigated, including the nature and volume of extraction solvent, sample volume, flow rate and sample pH. Under the optimum PMME and HPLC conditions, the linear ranges were 2.0-1400 μg/kg for pirimicarb in tomato and pear with the correlation coefficient of above 0.999. The detection limits (s/n=3) were both 0.6 μg/kg. The proposed method was successfully applied for the selective extraction and determination of pirimicarb in tomato and pear.  相似文献

A relatively selective, chemically and physically robust SPME fiber was developed in a simple way with testosterone-imprinted polymer, and then directly coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for selective extraction and analysis of anabolic steroids. The factors influencing polymerization (i.e., cross-linker, polymerization solvent, polymerization time) were optimized in detail and the polymer was characterized by scanning electron microscope, infrared spectrometer and thermogravimetric analyzer. Furthermore, the extraction performance of the MIP-coated SPME fibers such as extraction ability and selectivity was evaluated. Moreover, the interaction mode between target analytes and fiber coating was deducted. Finally, the method for extraction and determination of androsterone, stanolone, androstenedione and methyltestosterone by the homemade MIP-coated SPME fibers with GC-MS was obtained. It was applied to the simultaneous analysis of four anabolic steroids in the spiked human urine with the satisfactory recoveries.  相似文献

A novel and simple imprinted amino-functionalized silica gel material was synthesized by combining a surface molecular imprinting technique with a sol-gel process on the supporter of activated silica gel for solid-phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography (SPE-HPLC) determination of bisphenol A (BPA). Non-imprinted silica sorbent was synthesized without the addition of BPA using the same procedure as that of BPA-imprinted silica sorbent. The BPA-imprinted silica sorbent and non-imprinted silica sorbent were characterized by FT-IR and the static adsorption experiments. The prepared BPA-imprinted silica sorbent showed high adsorption capacity, significant selectivity and good site accessibility for BPA. The maximum static adsorption capacity of the BPA-imprinted and non-imprinted silica sorbent for BPA was 68.9 and 34.0 mg g−1, respectively. The relatively selective factor value of this BPA-imprinted silica sorbent was 4.5. Furthermore, the difference of the retention characteristics of BPA on the C8 SPE column and BPA-imprinted silica SPE (MIP-SPE) was compared. The MIP-SPE-HPLC method showed higher selectivity to BPA than the traditional SPE-HPLC method. At last, the BPA-imprinted polymers were used as the sorbent in solid-phase extraction to determine BPA in water samples with satisfactory recovery higher than 99% (R.S.D. 3.7%).  相似文献

Cotinine, the main metabolite of nicotine in human body, is widely used as a biomarker for assessment of direct or passive exposure to tobacco smoke. A method for molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) of cotinine from human urine has been investigated. The molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) with good selectivity and affinity for cotinine was synthesized using cotinine as the template molecule, methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker. The imprinted polymer was evaluated for use as a SPE sorbent, in tests with aqueous standards, by comparing recovery data obtained using the imprinted form of the polymer and a non-imprinted form (NIP). Extraction from the aqueous solutions resulted in more than 80% recovery. A range of linearity for cotinine between 0.05 and 5 μg mL−1 was obtained by loading 1 mL blank urine samples spiked with cotinine at different concentrations in acetate buffer of pH 9.0, and by using double basic washing and acidic elution. The intra-day coefficient of variation (CV) was below 7% and inter-day CV was below 10%. This investigation has provided a reliable MISPE–HPLC method for determination of cotinine in human urine from both active smokers and passive smokers. Figure  相似文献

A selective molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) for indomethacin (IDM) from water samples was developed. Using IDM as template molecule, acrylamide (AM) or methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer, ethylene dimethacrylate (EDMA) as crosslinker, and bulk or suspension polymerization as the synthetic method, three molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were synthesized and characterized with a rebinding experiment. It was found that the MIP of AM-EDMA produced by bulk polymerization showed the highest binding capacity for IDM, and so it was chosen for subsequent experiments, such as those testing the selectivity and recognition binding sites. Scatchard analysis revealed that at least two kinds of binding sites formed in the MIP, with the dissociation constants of 7.8 μmol L−1 and 127.2 μmol L−1, respectively. Besides IDM, three structurally related compounds — acemetacin, oxaprozin and ibuprofen — were employed for selectivity tests. It was observed that the MIP exhibited the highest selective rebinding to IDM. Accordingly, the MIP was used as a solid-phase extraction sorbent for the extraction and enrichment of IDM in water samples. The extraction conditions of the MISPE column for IDM were optimized to be: chloroform or water as loading solvent, chloroform with 20% acetonitrile as washing solution, and methanol as eluting solvent. Water samples with or without spiking were extracted by the MISPE column and analyzed by HPLC. No detectable IDM was observed in tap water and the content of IDM in a river water sample was found to be 1.8 ng mL−1. The extraction efficiencies of the MISPE column for IDM in spiked tap and river water were acceptable (87.2% and 83.5%, respectively), demonstrating the feasibility of the prepared MIP for IDM extraction. A novel molecularly imprinted sol-gel material based on polysiloxane nanofiber was introduced as a solid-phase microextraction coating on a stainless steel wire for the extraction of simazine. The nanostructured molecularly imprinted fiber was prepared by a simple single step method at room temperature, using methyltriethoxysilane as the sol-gel precursor and simazine as the template molecule. The fiber was applied for the extraction of simazine in different water samples followed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry detection. The extraction capacity of the molecularly imprinted fiber was 8 ng, and it had better extraction efficiency than the non-imprinted fiber and commercial fibers (PDMS and PA). The fiber had also a good selectivity for simazine and its analogous compounds. Important parameters affecting the extraction and desorption efficiency, such as salt concentration, stirring rate, pH of sample solution, extraction time and temperature, temperature and time of desorption, were investigated. The intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations were in the range of 4.3–7.6%. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility was 7.7–8.5%. The method showed a good linearity (r2> 0.9980) in the range of 0.02–20 μg L−1 with the detection limit of 0.005 μg L−1. The relative recoveries were also in the range of 94–97% for different water samples.  相似文献

The combination of molecular imprinting and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) technique provides a powerful sample preparation tool in terms of selectivity, simplicity, and flexibility. This paper reports a novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) coated SPME fiber with 17β-estradiol as template by improved multiple co-polymerization method. The obtained fiber exhibits excellent characteristics such as high porosity, good thermal and chemical stability. Extraction performance shows that the MIP-coated fiber has stronger affinity to the template molecule as compared with the commercial SPME fibers and the control polymer-coated fiber without addition of template. Owing to the shape and structural compatibility, the obtained fiber also demonstrated specific selectivity to the structural related compounds of 17β-estradiol, such as estriol, estrone and 17α-ethynylestradiol, and thus can be applied to simultaneous determination of these estrogens from complex samples coupled with high performance liquid chromatography. The variables that influence extraction were investigated. The MIP-coated fiber demonstrated its efficiency for extraction of estrogens in fishery samples. The detection limits were in the range of 0.98-2.39 μg L−1, and the recoveries were 80.0-83.6% and 85.0-94.1% for fish and shrimp tissue samples, respectively.  相似文献

Highly selective molecularly imprinted layer-coated silica nanoparticles for bisphenol A (BPA) were synthesized by molecular imprinting technique with a sol-gel process on the supporter of silica nanoparticles. The BPA-imprinted silica nanoparticles were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectrometer, transmission electron microscope, dynamic adsorption and static adsorption tests. The equilibrium association constant, Ka, and the apparent maximum number of binding sites, Qmax, were estimated to be 1.25 × 105 mL μmol−1 and 16.4 μmol g−1, respectively. The BPA-imprinted silica nanoparticles solid-phase extraction (SPE) column had higher selectivity for BPA than the commercial C18-SPE column. The results of the study indicated that the prepared BPA-imprinted silica nanoparticles exhibited high adsorption capacity and selectivity, and offered a fast kinetics for the rebinding of BPA. The BPA-imprinted silica nanoparticles were successfully used in SPE to selectively enrich and determine BPA from shampoo, bath lotion and cosmetic cream samples.  相似文献

In the present work, an automated on-line electrochemically controlled in-tube solid-phase microextraction (EC-in-tube SPME) coupled with HPLC-UV was developed for the selective extraction and preconcentration of indomethacin as a model analyte in biological samples. Applying an electrical potential can improve the extraction efficiency and provide more convenient manipulation of different properties of the extraction system including selectivity, clean-up, rate, and efficiency. For more enhancement of the selectivity and applicability of this method, a novel molecularly imprinted polymer coated tube was prepared and applied for extraction of indomethacin. For this purpose, nanostructured copolymer coating consisting of polypyrrole doped with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate was prepared on the inner surface of a stainless-steel tube by electrochemical synthesis. The characteristics and application of the tubes were investigated. Electron microscopy provided a cross linked porous surface and the average thickness of the MIP coating was 45 μm. Compared with the non-imprinted polymer coated tubes, the special selectivity for indomethacin was discovered with the molecularly imprinted coated tube. Moreover, stable and reproducible responses were obtained without being considerably influenced by interferences commonly existing in biological samples. Under the optimal conditions, the limits of detection were in the range of 0.07–2.0 μg L−1 in different matrices. This method showed good linearity for indomethacin in the range of 0.1–200 μg L−1, with coefficients of determination better than 0.996. The inter- and intra-assay precisions (RSD%, n = 3) were respectively in the range of 3.5–8.4% and 2.3–7.6% at three concentration levels of 7, 70 and 150 μg L−1. The results showed that the proposed method can be successfully applied for selective analysis of indomethacin in biological samples.  相似文献

To obtain a highly selective material for the antibiotic chloramphenicol, which has several harmful side effects in humans, different molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were prepared. In order to avoid a major traditional drawback associated with MIPs of residual template bleeding, molecules that are structurally related to chloramphenicol were used as templates for polymer synthesis. Chromatographic evaluation indicated that the employed template imparted a significant influence on the recognition properties of the corresponding polymer. A strong retention of chloramphenicol under nonpolar elution conditions (k = 68.03, IF = 17.72) and under aqueous elution conditions (k = 92.44, IF = 1.35) was achieved. After chromatographic evaluation, the MIP was utilized as the recognition sorbent in a solid-phase extraction to determine chloramphenicol using either an organic or aqueous washing solvent. Recoveries of nearly 100% from the chloramphenicol standard solution and nearly 90% from honey samples spiked with chloramphenicol were attained. Furthermore, the applicability of the MIP for sample cleanup was demonstrated.  相似文献

Capillary electrophoresis with ultraviolet detection (CE-UV) was used to perform competitive binding tests to demonstrate the selective recognition of bisphenol A (BPA) by molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) particles. Cross-linking polymerization of methacrylic acid (MAA) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) in the presence of BPA yielded MIP particles with an average diameter of 164 ± 15 nm. Their ability to recognize BPA in the presence of nonionic, anionic, and cationic water contaminants was investigated. Binding efficiency was rapidly determined, after sequential injection of particles first and compounds next into the fused-silica capillary provided a short overlapping time during their electrophoretic migrations. The MIP particles exhibited high-binding efficiency (99 ± 1%) for BPA. Neither diclofenac nor metformin affected BPA binding, and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone was even displaced from the particles by BPA. These results verified the high selectivity of MIP toward its target compound.  相似文献

A monolithic solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fibre was fabricated based on a molecularly imprinted polymer that could be coupled with gas chromatography for extraction, and determination of chlorpyrifos. The time of extraction, pH, temperature and ionic strength were investigated as important factors on the extraction procedure. The fabricated fibre was firm, inexpensive, stable and selective which gave it vital importance in SPME. The selectivity of the fabricated fibre in relation to analogue compounds was also investigated. Under the optimum conditions, the calibration curve was linear in the range of 1–20 mg L?1 (R2 = 0.9899). The high extraction efficiency was obtained for chlorpyrifos with a detection limit of 0.23 mg L?1. The fabricated fibre was successfully applied to SPME of chlorpyrifos from apple and grape fruits after its extraction and followed by gas chromatography-flame ionisation detector analysis.  相似文献
