The concepts of polynomial stabilization, strong polynomial stabilization, and strong stabilization are introduced for a fundamental system of solutions of linear differential equations. Some criteria of such kinds of stabilizations and applications to the theory of existence and uniqueness of solutions of ordinary differential equations are given. An abstract scheme of the obtained results is presented for Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper a technique is developed for the study of the existence and uniqueness of solutions to nth order ordinary differential equations satisfying n-point boundary conditions. Liapunov-like functions are employed to determine the existence and uniqueness of solutions to linear equations satisfying the boundary conditions, and these solutions are in turn used to determine existence for the general nonlinear case. A by-product of this technique is a matching technique for linear equations by which solutions of certain k-point boundary value problems (k < n) can be matched to extend the interval of existence for solutions to the n-point problem.  相似文献

We use the theory of generalized linear ordinary differential equations in Banach spaces to study linear measure functional differential equations with infinite delay. We obtain new results concerning the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence of solutions. Even for equations with a finite delay, our results are stronger than the existing ones. In this paper, we introduce new solutions for fuzzy differential equations as mixed solutions, and prove the existence and uniqueness of global solutions for fuzzy initial value problems involving integro-differential operators of Volterra type. Abstract

This paper is concerned with almost periodic solutions for nonlinear non-instantaneous impulsive differential equations with variable structure. With the help of the notation of non-instantaneous impulsive Cauchy matrix, mild sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the existence, uniqueness of asymptotically stable almost periodic solutions. Both example and numerical simulation are given to illustrate our effectiveness of the above results. As one expects, the results presented here have extended and improved some previous results for instantaneous impulsive differential equations.  相似文献

We study some properties of piecewise linear differential systems describing gene regulatory networks, where the dynamics are governed by sigmoid-type nonlinearities which are close to or coincide with the step functions. To overcome the difficulty of describing the dynamics of the system near singular stationary points (belonging to the discontinuity set of the system) we use the concept of Filippov solutions. It consists in replacing discontinuous differential equations with differential inclusions. The global existence and some other basic properties of the Filippov solutions such as continuous dependence on parameters are studied. We also study the uniqueness and non-uniqueness of the Filippov solutions in singular domains. The concept of Filippov stationary point is extensively exploited in the paper. We compare two ways of defining the singular stationary points: one is based on the Filippov theory and the other consists in replacing step functions with steep sigmoids and investigating the smooth systems thus obtained. The results are illustrated by a number of examples.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with an initial value problem to second order nonlinear singular delay differential equations. By the use of the Schauder fixed point theorem, a result for the existence of global solutions is derived. Also, via the Banach contraction principle, another result concerning the existence and uniqueness of global solutions is established. Moreover, applications of these results to a particular case of second order nonlinear singular delay differential equations as well as to the special case of second order nonlinear singular ordinary differential equations are presented. Fundamental theoretical results for the equations—the existence and uniqueness of solutions, the existence of periodic solutions, and the stability of the zero solution—are obtained. In this paper, we establish the existence of solutions to systems of first order differential inclusions with maximal monotone terms satisfying the periodic boundary condition. Our proofs rely on the theory of maximal monotone operators, and the Schauder and the Kakutani fixed point theorems. A notion of solution-tube to these problems is introduced. In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for a nonlocal boundary value problem of fractional differential equation. Firstly, we give Green’s function and prove its positivity; secondly, the uniqueness of positive solution is obtained by the use of contraction map principle and some Lipschitz-type conditions; thirdly, by means of the fixed point index theory, we obtain some existence results of positive solution. The proofs are based upon the reduction of the problem considered to the equivalent Fredholm integral equation of second kind.  相似文献

In this paper we present some results concerning the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions to certain abstract semilinear differential equations and the asymptotic behavior of these solutions. The basic techniques used are the iterative method and the fixed point theory for differential equations in Banach space. However, the most pleasant here is that it can be applied to nonlinear equations without assuming the eigenvalues of the differential operator in the linear parts of the differential equation has non-zero real part.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the study of a class of linear time-inhomogeneous evolution equations in a scale of Banach spaces. Existence, uniqueness and stability for classical solutions is provided. We study also the associated dual Cauchy problem for which we prove uniqueness in the dual scale of Banach spaces. The results are applied to an infinite system of ordinary differential equations but also to the Fokker-Planck equation associated with the spatial logistic model in the continuum.  相似文献

In this paper we present a point of view which allows one to interpret the solutions of a non-autonomous differential equation as a classical dynamical system, without assuming uniqueness of solutions of the initial value problem. In addition we are able to construct a global flow without assuming the global existence of solutions of the given differential equations. This point of view seems appropriate in the sense that many applications of the results of classical topological dynamics to the study of the solutions of differential equations can now be performed, in a straight-forward manner, without the uniqueness assumption. We shall illustrate this claim with one important application concerning the existence of periodic or almost periodic solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study, from the numerical point of view, a porous thermoviscoelastic mixture problem. The mechanical problem is written as a linear coupled system of two hyperbolic partial differential equations for the porosities and a parabolic partial differential equation for the temperature field. An existence and uniqueness result and an energy decay property are stated. Then, fully discrete approximations are introduced by using the finite element method to approximate the spatial variable and the backward Euler scheme to discretize the time derivatives. A priori error estimates are proved from which, under suitable regularity conditions, the linear convergence of the algorithm is derived. Finally, some numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the accuracy of the approximations in an academical one-dimensional example and the behaviour of the solutions in one- and two-dimensional problems.  相似文献
