A new chromogenic reagent, 2-(2-quinolylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (QADEAP), was synthesized. A sensitive, selective and rapid method has been developed for the determination of microg/L level silver ion based on the rapid reaction of silver(l) with QADEAP and the solid phase extraction of the colored chelate with C18 cartridge. The QADEAP reacts with Ag(l) to form a violet chelate of a molar ratio 1:2 (silver to QADEAP) in pH 3.5-8.0. This chelate was prconcentrated by solid phase extraction with C18 cartridge. An enrichment factor of 100 was achieved. The molar absorptivity of the chelate is 1.30 x 10(5) L mol(-1) cm(-1) at 590 nm in measured solution. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0.01-0.6 microg/ml. The relative standard deviation for eleven replicate samples of 0.01 microg/ml is 1.15%. The detection limit is 0.02 microg/L in the original samples. This method was applied to the determination of microg/L level silver ion in water with good results.  相似文献

A sensitive, selective and rapid method for the determination of nickel based on a rapid reaction of nickel(II) with 2-(2-quinolylazo)-5-diethylaminoaniline (QADEAA) has been developed. In the presence of pH = 6.0 ammonia-ammonium chloride buffer solution and sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS) medium, QADEAA reacts with nickel to form a violet complex having a molar ratio of 1:2 (nickel to QADEAA). The molar absorptivity of the complex is 1.38 x 10(5) l mol(-1) cm(-1) at 595 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0.01-0.4 microg/ml. This method had been applied to the determination of nickel with good results.  相似文献

Reaction between gadolinium(III) and 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5- Br-PADAP) was studied for delineating optimal conditions for complexation. This reagent can be used for the spectrophotometric determination of Gd(III) in concentrations ranging from 0.04 to 1.2 ppm (a = 1.76(+/- 0.03) x 10(5) (1.(-1) mole(-1). cm). The reaction takes place at a pH between 9.2 and 11.6. In the presence of Triton X-100 this complex is soluble in water. In order to overcome difficulties caused by the presence of other lanthanides, an ion exchange chromatographic technique was used.  相似文献

The complex of cadmium with the reagent 2-(-5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) has been studied. The composition, stability constant, and free energy change of formation of the complex have been determined. A sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of cadmium has been developed and applied for a range of concentration of 0.4–4.0 μg/ml cadmium using the complex Cd-5-Br-PADAP. The optimum conditions for maximum sensitivity of determination such as standing time, pH, wavelength, and order of addition have been determined. The direct determination of uranium(VI) by a flow-injection procedure is based on spectrophotometric measurement with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol in the present of fluoride. The interfering effects of many commonly occuring elements were studied. The calibration curve was linear over the range 0.5–20 mg 1?1 uranium(VI). The relative standard deviation obtained on a leach liquor containing 10 mg 1?1 uranium(VI) was 1.9%. The procedure is rapid and convenient, and up to 40 samples can be analysed per hour.  相似文献

The title compound has been used as a selective reagent for the micro-determination of zirconium in acidic medium (0.5MHCl) and found to be better than Picramine R. Spectrophotometric studies show the formation of a 2:1 (ligand:Zr) water-soluble complex and the reaction is suitable for photometric determination of 0.4-2.8 ppm of zirconium. The colour takes about 90 min to develop fully and is stable for about 20 hr. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 2.4 x 10(4) and the equilibrium constant is of the order of 10(10). Spectrophotometric studies on a uranium(VI) ternary complex and its analytical application are described. Uranium(VI) reacts with 5-Br-PADAP to form an unstable chelate, which precipitates on standing in 48% ethanolic aqueous solution. The colour stability of uranium(VI) complex is greatly improved by the presence of aromatic carboxylic acids. For the present purpose, o-hydroxybenzoic acid and its derivatives are best suited. The calibration graph is linear up to 2.6 g·ml–1 of uranium(VI) at 578 nm. The role of carboxylic acid as an auxiliary ligand is discussed.  相似文献

A sensitive spectrophotometric method for zinc has been established by reacting zinc with 2-(3,5-dibromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (3,5-diBr-PADAP) in the presence of an anionic surfactant, sodium lauryl sulphate. The molar absorptivity is 1.3 x 10(5) l.mole(-1).cm(-1) at 570 nm. The molar ratio of zinc to 3,5-diBr-PADAP is 1:2. Beer's law is obeyed up to 0.7 ppm of zinc. With preseparation of zinc by extraction of its thiocyanate complex, the method has been applied to the determination of zinc in waste water.  相似文献

合成了新显色剂2_四氮唑偶氮_5_二乙氨基酚 (简称TTZAPN) ,研究了它与Zn2 + 显色的条件 ;结果表明 ,Zn2 +在 pH5.0的HAc -NaAc缓冲溶液中与TTZAPN形成稳定的组成比为1∶3的红色配合物 ,λmax=505nm ,试剂的λmax=430nm ,表观摩尔吸光系数3.47×104 L·mol-1·cm-1,Zn2 + 在0~1.2mg/L范围内符合比耳定律 ;本方法可不经分离直接测定人发中微量锌 ,结果满意。  相似文献

Performance of six quinolylazo compounds was studied as a pre-column derivatizing reagent for the separation of metal ions in the reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. 2-(4-Methyl-2-quinolylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (QADP) was suited for the determination of Co, Ni and Cu in the presence of a large amount of Fe. The detection limits under the optimized conditions [stationary phase: L-column ODS; mobile phase: acetone-water (62:38, v/v) containing 0.01 M NH(4)SCN and 0.01 M 2-morpholinoethanesulfonic acid-NaOH (pH 6); injection volume: 10 mul] were 0.24 ng for Co, 0.22 for Ni and 0.53 for Cu. This method was successfully applied to the determination of these metal ions in a standard steel sample.  相似文献

A simple method for the determination of uranium in process- and waste-stream samples at a nuclear fuel reprocessing facility that can be applied entirely in a remote environment is described. The method is both sensitive and selective enough to be applicable for almost any uranium determination. Uranium in aqueous samples is extracted as a nitrate complex into 4-methylpentan-2-one (hexone) from an acid-deficient aluminium nitrate salting solution. An aliquot of the hexone extract is then mixed with a solution containing methanol, pyridine and 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (Br-PADAP). The absorbance of the U(VI)-Br- PADAP complex is measured at 580 nm. The detection limit for uranium is 0.8 μg with the linear range extending to 80 μg. Interference studies, modifications for organic samples and solid-containing samples and process laboratory data are presented.  相似文献

Zirconium reacts with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol in the pH range 3.8-5.8 to form a red chelate that is soluble in methanol-water mixtures. The absorbance of the 1:3 complex obeys Beer's law over the zirconium concentration range 0.02-0.44 mug/ml and has a molar absorptivity of 1.54 x 10(5) 1.mole(-1). cm(-1) at 585 nm. The formation constant is log beta(3) = 16.15. Of 59 species studied, only EDTA, Ga, In, Ti, Hf and V(V) interfere seriously.  相似文献

A spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of uranium(VI) using ascorbic acid. Uranium in the hexavalent state forms a reddish-brown coloured complex with ascorbic acid. The colour intensity of the complex is maximum at pH 4.2-4.5 and is stable for 24 hr. The absorbances of uranium(VI)-ascorbic acid complex at 360 and 450 nm are used for its quantification. Uranium in the range 8-200 microg/ml has been determined with good precision. The method allows the determination of uranium in the presence of many metal ions present as impurities. The described method is simple, accurate and applicable to uranium concentration relevant to the PUREX process and thus can be used for analytical control purposes.  相似文献

A highly sensitive method for spectrophotometric determination of uranium has been devised. The method is based on formation of a red-violet 1:2 (metal:ligand) complex from the reaction of uranium(VI) with 2-(3,5-dibromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (3,5-diBr-PADAP) in the presence of an anionic surfactant, sodium lauryl sulphate. Its molar absorptivity is found to be 9.1 x 10(4)l.mole(-1).cm(-1). The absorbance is constant in the range pH 8.4-9.9 Beer's law is obeyed for 0-1.4 mug/ml concentrations of uranium. In the presence of DCTA the method is selective for uranium, and can be used for the determination of trace amounts of uranium in water samples.  相似文献

A spectrophotometric study of the Th(IV) complex of a new reagent 2-(5-Bromo-2- pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) is presented. A reddish brown complex is formed at pH 4.86, and shows maximal absorbance at 580 nm with molar absorptivity of 1.66 × 105 mol−1 cm−1 liter. Beer's law is obeyed over the range 0.0 to 15 μg of thorium. Rare earths ions like La3+, Ce3+, and Y3+ do not interfere because they form complexes with 5-Br-PADAP at higher pH's (>9.94) (1). A new method for determining trace amounts of thorium is proposed, which possesses the advantages of high sensitivity and selectivity.  相似文献

The complex of the reagent 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) with Bi(III) has been studied. The composition and stability of this complex have been determined. An analytical method for the spectrophotometric determination of Bi(III) using its complex with 5-Br-PADAP has been developed. Variables influencing the method such as pH, wavelength, and time have been studied. The limitations of this method and the effect of interfering ions have been investigated. Comparison of this method with other methods cited in the literature for the determination of Bi(III) is also included.  相似文献
