报道了中心对称光折变晶体与线性电介质界面表面波的形成及能量变化. 通过调节传播常数和波导参数的方法,可以得到非局域、振荡、局域三种类型的表面波. 波导参数和传播常数之差大于阈值时,线性电介质和中心对称光折变晶体界面可以形成局域表面波. 波导参数为正值时,局域表面波主要聚集在中心对称光折变晶体内,随着传播常数的增大,波能量随之单调递增,表面波可以稳定传播. 在给定的条件下,调节决定非线性作用强度的可变参量可以控制局域表面波模的阶数和传播波形.

利用数值模拟对扩散非线性机制下由光折变表面波诱导的薄层波导中导模的形成和特点进行了研究。采用分布傅里叶法对导模的传输特性进行了模拟。通过求解本征方程,对光折变表面波诱导的薄层波导中存在的导波模式进行了数值求解。通过调节传播常数和波导参数的方法,可以控制导模的阶数和传播波形。随着阶数的增加,导模轮廓的对称性越来越差;随着波导参数的增加,导模的峰值振幅单调递增。导模的能量主要聚集在晶体薄层波导中靠近-c轴的一侧,随着传播常数的增大,导模能量先减小后增大,且导模可以稳定传播。 相似文献

表面粗糙是材料制造过程中必有的副产物, 粗糙表面会引起其中传播的声表面波的速度发生变化. 在利用激光声表面波对材料性质进行评估时, 常用宽带的激光声表面波速度频散特性对材料性质进行反演. 为了研究表面粗糙度是否能作为反演的特征参数之一, 本文建立了激光在表面粗糙样品中激发声表面波、聚偏氟乙烯换能器宽带接收声表面波的实验装置来研究不同粗糙度表面对声表面波速度的影响; 理论上建立了激光在粗糙表面中激发声表面波的计算模型, 利用有限元法得到声表面波的时域特征, 并进一步得到声表面波的速度色散曲线, 理论结果和实验结果能很好地拟合. 这为利用激光声表面波对表面粗糙的评估提供理论和实验依据.

A rigorous solution consistent with a plane wave approximation is given to the boundary problem for Maxwell’s equations for
surface optical waves at the boundary with a nonlinear Kerr medium. Exact formulas for the flux intensity (J
0) and energy density (W
0) of these waves are derived depending on the parameters of the adjacent media and the propagation constant (ξ). It is shown
that these variables as functions of ξ have minima. Thus, J
0 and W
0 increase sharply as the propagation constant deviates from the minimum value ξmin. Their values are greater, the larger the difference between the dielectric constants of the linear and nonlinear media is.

以厄米-双曲余弦-高斯(H-ChG)光束为例,对H-ChG光束通过大气湍流传输时的束宽扩展和角扩展做了详细研究.用相对束宽和相对角扩展代替束宽和角扩展来研究湍流对光束影响的灵敏程度.研究表明,折射率结构常数C2n越小,光束束宽扩展和角扩展越小.有较大阶数m,n,较小参数Ω0和束腰宽度w0 H-ChG光束的角扩展受湍流影响较小.当传输距离足够远时,这一结论对H-ChG光束的束宽扩展也成立.当传输距离不长时,对H-ChG光束相对束宽随Ω0和w0的变化规律做了分析.用数值计算例做了说明,并对结果的正确性做了物理解释.厄米-高斯,双曲余弦高斯和高斯光束在大气湍流中的扩展可作为H-ChG光束的特例来处理.

The results of theoretical analysis and experimental investigation of the millimeter waves antenna with scanning beam are presented. The operation concept of the antenna is based on the effect of transformation of the surface waves of dielectric waveguide in the volume waves. The smooth space scanning of beam has been made by means of change of wave propagation constant inside of the dielectric waveguide. All experiments were made in the four-millimeter wave range. The propagation of surface acoustic waves at microwave frequencies (1010 Hz) was studied on proton exchanged LiNbO3 crystals by means of Brillouin scattering. The proton exchange causes a large velocity reduction for surface acoustic waves propagating in the x–y plane of ay-cut crystal as well as for longitudinal bulk acoustic waves travelling in the proton exchanged sub-surface region. The velocity reduction amounts to about 20% for both types of waves. The corresponding elastic constants are reduced even by about 40% since the density remains almost constant. This softening seems to involve both the shear and compressional elastic constants, but in an anisotropic way.Thus by proton exchange it is possible to build acoustic waveguides adjacent to the surface, similar to the construction of optical waveguides. By a lateral control of the proton exchange rate optical elements for ultrasonic waves, for example, acoustic lenses can be produced without deformation of the flat surface.The absorption of surface acoustic waves on proton exchanged surfaces is stronger than on pure LiNbO3 indicating a novel absorption mechanism becoming active in the proton exchanged material. 相似文献

The presence of an intense Gaussian laser beam gives rise to a ponderomotive force on electrons in a collisionless plasma, leading to a redistribution of electron density along the wave-front and consequently to an intensity dependent dielectric constant which saturates with increasing intensity. The intensity dependent dielectric constant is responsible for beam propagation in an oscillatory waveguide. It is seen that (i) a beam of radiusr 0 less thanr 0min (?c/ω p) cannot be focused in the plasma regardless of its power, (ii) minimum dimension of oscillatory waveguide increases with increasing power of the beam. Similar results are also obtained for collisional plasma where nonlinearity arises due to nonuniform heating and consequent redistribution of carriers. 相似文献

This paper investigates the collision between two nonlinear waves with different propagation directions in two-dimensional dust crystals. Using the extended Poincaré--Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method, two Korteweg--de Vries equations for nonlinear waves in both the ξ and eta directions are obtained, respectively, and the analytical phase shifts and trajectories after the collision of two nonlinear waves are derived. The propagation properties of the off-axis superposition of
partially coherent beams through atmospheric turbulence and their
beam quality in terms of the mean-squared beam width w(z) and the
power in the bucket (PIB) are studied in detail, where the effects
of partial coherence, off-axis beam superposition and atmospheric
turbulence are considered. The analytical expressions for the
intensity, the beam width and the PIB are derived, and illustrative
examples are given numerically. It is shown that the maximum
intensity Imax and the PIB decrease and w(z) increases as
the refraction index structure constant Cn2 increases.
Therefore, the turbulence results in a degradation of the beam
quality. However, the resulting partially coherent beam with a
smaller value of spatial correlation parameter γ and larger
values of separate distance xd and beam number M is less
affected by the turbulence than that with a larger value of γ
and smaller values of xd and M. The main results obtained
in this paper are explained physically. 相似文献
