The protonolysis reaction of [Ln(AlMe(4))(3)] with various substituted cyclopentadienyl derivatives HCp(R) gives access to a series of half-sandwich complexes [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))]. Whereas bis(tetramethylaluminate) complexes with [1,3-(Me(3)Si)(2)C(5)H(3)] and [C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3)] ancillary ligands form easily at ambient temperature for the entire Ln(III) cation size range (Ln=Lu, Y, Sm, Nd, La), exchange with the less reactive [1,2,4-(Me(3)C)(3)C(5)H(3)] was only obtained at elevated temperatures and for the larger metal centers Sm, Nd, and La. X-ray structure analyses of seven representative complexes of the type [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))] reveal a similar distinct [AlMe(4)] coordination (one eta(2), one bent eta(2)). Treatment with Me(2)AlCl leads to [AlMe(4)] --> [Cl] exchange and, depending on the Al/Ln ratio and the Cp(R) ligand, varying amounts of partially and fully exchanged products [{Ln(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl)(Cp(R))}(2)] and [{Ln(mu-Cl)(2)(Cp(R))}(n)], respectively, have been identified. Complexes [{Y(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl)(C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3))}(2)] and [{Nd(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl){1,2,4-(Me(3)C)(3)C(5)H(2)}}(2)] have been characterized by X-ray structure analysis. All of the chlorinated half-sandwich complexes are inactive in isoprene polymerization. However, activation of the complexes [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))] with boron-containing cocatalysts, such as [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], [PhNMe(2)H][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], or B(C(6)F(5))(3), produces initiators for the fabrication of trans-1,4-polyisoprene. The choice of rare-earth metal cation size, Cp(R) ancillary ligand, and type of boron cocatalyst crucially affects the polymerization performance, including activity, catalyst efficiency, living character, and polymer stereoregularity. The highest stereoselectivities were observed for the precatalyst/cocatalyst systems [La(AlMe(4))(2)(C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3))]/B(C(6)F(5))(3) (trans-1,4 content: 95.6 %, M(w)/M(n)=1.26) and [La(AlMe(4))(2)(C(5)Me(5))]/B(C(6)F(5))(3) (trans-1,4 content: 99.5 %, M(w)/M(n)=1.18).  相似文献

The reaction of 1-chloro-2-(trimethylsilyl)-1-boracyclohexa-2,5-diene with [(n)Bu(4)N]C≡N provides the 1-borabenzonitrile salt [(n)Bu(4)N][C(5)H(5)BC≡N] which in turn reacts with [Ru(4)(μ-Cl)(4)(η-C(5)Me(5))(4)] to afford the sandwich complex [Ru(η(6)-C(5)H(5)BC≡N)(η-C(5)Me(5))]. The bonding of 1-borabenzonitrile is discussed with recourse to crystallographic data for [(n)Bu(4)N][C(5)H(5)BC≡N] and [Ru(η(6)-C(5)H(5)BC≡N)(η-C(5)Me(5))].  相似文献

A series of heteropolynuclear Pt-Tl-Fe complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The final structures strongly depend on the geometry of the precursor and the Pt/Tl ratio used. Thus, the anionic heteroleptic cis-configured [cis-Pt(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)](2-) and [Pt(bzq)(C≡CFc)(2)](-) (Fc = ferrocenyl) complexes react with Tl(+) to form discrete octanuclear (PPh(3)Me)(2)[{trans,cis,cis-PtTl(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)}(2)] (1), [PtTl(bzq)(C≡CFc)(2)](2) (5; bzq = benzoquinolate), and decanuclear [trans,cis,cis-PtTl(2)(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)](2) (3) derivatives, stabilized by both Pt(II)···Tl(I) and Tl(I)···η(2)(alkynyl) bonds. By contrast, Q(2)[trans-Pt(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)] (Q = NBu(4)) reacts with Tl(+) to give the one-dimensional (1-D) anionic [(NBu(4)){trans,trans,trans-PtTl(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)}](n) (2) and neutral [trans,trans,trans-PtTl(2)(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)](n) (4) polymeric chains based on [PtFc(2)](2-) platinate fragments and Tl(+) (2) or [Tl···Tl](2+) (4) units, respectively, connected by Pt(II)···Tl(I) and secondary weak κ-η(1) (2) or η(2) (4) alkynyl···Tl(I) bonding. The formation of 1-4 is reversible, and thus treatment of neutral 3 and 4 with PPh(3)MeBr causes the precipitation of TlBr, returning toward the formation of the anionic 1 and 2' (Q = PPh(3)Me). Two slightly different pseudopolymorphs were found for 2', depending on the crystallization solvent. Finally, the reaction of the homoleptic [Pt(C≡CFc)(4)](2-) with 2 equiv of Tl(+) affords the tetradecanuclear sandwich type complex [Pt(2)Tl(4)(C≡CFc)(8)] (6). Electrochemical, spectroelectrochemical, and theoretical studies have been carried out to elucidate the effect produced by the interaction of the Tl(+) with the Pt-C≡CFc fragments. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) of 1-5 reveal that, in general, neutralization of the anionic fragments increases the stability of the fully oxidized species and gives higher E(1/2) (Fc) values than those observed in their precursors, increasing with the number of Pt-Tl bonding interactions. However, the electronic communication between Fc groups is reduced or even lost upon Tl(+) coordination, as confirmed by electrochemical (CVs and DPVs voltammograms, 1-5) and spectroelectrochemical (UV-vis-NIR, 2-4) studies. Complexes 2 and 4 still display some electronic interaction between the Fc groups, supported by the presence of an IVCT band in their UV-vis-NIR spectra of oxidized species and additional comparative DFT calculations with the precursor [trans-Pt(C(6)F(5))(2)(C≡CFc)(2)](2-) and complex 3.  相似文献

A series of rare-earth-metal-hydrocarbyl complexes bearing N-type functionalized cyclopentadienyl (Cp) and fluorenyl (Flu) ligands were facilely synthesized. Treatment of [Y(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)(thf)(2)] with equimolar amount of the electron-donating aminophenyl-Cp ligand C(5)Me(4)H-C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(2) afforded the corresponding binuclear monoalkyl complex [({C(5)Me(4)-C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(μ-CH(2))}Y{CH(2)SiMe(3)})(2)] (1a) via alkyl abstraction and C-H activation of the NMe(2) group. The lutetium bis(allyl) complex [(C(5)Me(4)-C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(2))Lu(η(3)-C(3)H(5))(2)] (2b), which contained an electron-donating aminophenyl-Cp ligand, was isolated from the sequential metathesis reactions of LuCl(3) with (C(5)Me(4)-C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(2))Li (1 equiv) and C(3)H(5)MgCl (2 equiv). Following a similar procedure, the yttrium- and scandium-bis(allyl) complexes, [(C(5)Me(4)-C(5)H(4)N)Ln(η(3)-C(3)H(5))(2)] (Ln=Y (3a), Sc (3b)), which also contained electron-withdrawing pyridyl-Cp ligands, were also obtained selectively. Deprotonation of the bulky pyridyl-Flu ligand (C(13)H(9)-C(5)H(4)N) by [Ln(CH(2)SiMe(3))(3)(thf)(2)] generated the rare-earth-metal-dialkyl complexes, [(η(3)-C(13)H(8)-C(5)H(4)N)Ln(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2)(thf)] (Ln=Y (4a), Sc (4b), Lu (4c)), in which an unusual asymmetric η(3)-allyl bonding mode of Flu moiety was observed. Switching to the bidentate yttrium-trisalkyl complex [Y(CH(2)C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(2))(3)], the same reaction conditions afforded the corresponding yttrium bis(aminobenzyl) complex [(η(3)-C(13)H(8)-C(5)H(4)N)Y(CH(2)C(6)H(4)-o-NMe(2))(2)] (5). Complexes 1-5 were fully characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR and X-ray spectroscopy, and by elemental analysis. In the presence of both [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] and AliBu(3), the electron-donating aminophenyl-Cp-based complexes 1 and 2 did not show any activity towards styrene polymerization. In striking contrast, upon activation with [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] only, the electron-withdrawing pyridyl-Cp-based complexes 3, in particular scandium complex 3b, exhibited outstanding activitiy to give perfectly syndiotactic (rrrr >99%) polystyrene, whereas their bulky pyridyl-Flu analogues (4 and 5) in combination with [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] and AliBu(3) displayed much-lower activity to afford syndiotactic-enriched polystyrene.  相似文献

The solvent-coordinated [Me(3)Si·arene][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] salts (arene = benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, n-propylbenzene, isopropylbenzene, o-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene) are prepared and fully characterized. As an interesting decomposition product the formation of bissilylated fluoronium ion [Me(3)Si-F-SiMe(3)](+) was observed and even cocrystallized with [Me(3)Si·arene][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] (arene = benzene and toluene). Investigation of the degradation of [Me(3)Si·arene][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] reveals the formation of fluoronium salt [Me(3)Si-F-SiMe(3)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], B(C(6)F(5))(3), and a reactive "C(6)F(4)" species which could be trapped with CS(2). Upon addition of CS(2), the formation of a formal S-heterocyclic carbene adduct, C(6)F(4)CS(2)-B(C(6)F(5))(3), was observed. The structure and bonding of substituted [Me(3)Si·arene][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] with arene = R(n)C(6)H(6-n) (R = H, Me, Et, Pr, and Bu; n = 0-6) is discussed on the basis of experimental and theoretical data. X-ray data of [Me(3)Si·arene][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] salts reveal nonplanar arene species with significant cation···anion interactions. As shown by different theoretical approaches (charge transfer, partial charges, trimethylsilyl affinity values) stabilizing inductive effects occur; however, the magnitude of such effects differs depending on the degree of substitution and the substitution pattern.  相似文献

Attempts to prepare mixed-ligand zinc-zinc-bonded compounds that contain bulky C(5)Me(5) and terphenyl groups, [Zn(2)(C(5)Me(5))(Ar')], lead to disproportionation. The resulting half-sandwich Zn(II) complexes [(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))ZnAr'] (Ar' = 2,6-(2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3))(2)-C(6)H(3), 2; 2,6-(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))(2)-C(6)H(3), 3) can also be obtained from the reaction of [Zn(C(5)Me(5))(2)] with the corresponding LiAr'. In the presence of pyr-py (4-pyrrolidinopyridine) or DBU (1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene), [Zn(2)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(2)] reacts with C(5)Me(5)OH to afford the tetrametallic complexes [Zn(2)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))L(μ-OC(5)Me(5))](2) (L = pyr-py, 6; DBU, 8), respectively. The bulkier terphenyloxide Ar(Mes)O(-) group (Ar(Mes) = 2,6-(2,4,6-Me(3)C(6)H(2))(2)-C(6)H(3)) gives instead the dimetallic compound [Zn(2)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(OAr(Mes))(pyr-py)(2)], 7, that features a terminal Zn-OAr(Mes) bond. DFT calculations on models of 6-8 and also on the Zn-Zn-bonded complexes [Zn(2)(η(5)-C(5)H(5))(OC(5)H(5))(py)(2)] and [(η(5)-C(5)H(5))ZnZn(py)(3)](+) have been performed and reveal the nonsymmetric nature of the Zn-Zn bond with lower charge and higher participation of the s orbital of the zinc atom coordinated to the cyclopentadienyl ligand with respect to the metal within the pseudo-ZnL(3) fragment. Cyclic voltammetric studies on [Zn(2)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(2)] have been also carried out and the results compared with the behavior of [Zn(C(5)Me(5))(2)] and related magnesium and calcium metallocenes.  相似文献

Investigation of the insertion reactivity of the tethered silylalkyl complex (η(5)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)-κC)(2)U (1) has led to a series of new reactions for U-C bonds. Elemental sulfur reacts with 1 by inserting two sulfur atoms into each of the U-C bonds to form the bis(tethered alkyl disulfide) complex (η(5):η(2)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)S(2))(2)U (2). The bulky substrate N,N'-diisopropylcarbodiimide, (i)PrN═C═N(i)Pr, inserts into only one of the U-C bonds of 1 to produce the mixed-tether complex (η(5)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)-κC)U[η(5)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)C((i)PrN)(2)-κ(2)N,N'] (3). Carbon monoxide did not exclusively undergo a simple insertion into the U-C bond of 3 but instead formed {μ-[η(5)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)C(═N(i)Pr)O-κ(2)O,N]U[OC(C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2))CN((i)Pr)-κ(2)O,N](2) (4) in a cascade of reactions that formally includes U-C bond cleavage, C-N bond cleavage of the amidinate ligand, alkyl or silyl migration, U-O, C-C, and C-N bond formations, and CO insertion. The reaction of 3 with isoelectronic tert-butyl isocyanide led to insertion of the substrate into the U-C bond, but with a rearrangement of the amidinate ligand binding mode from κ(2) to κ(1) to form [η(5):η(2)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)C(═N(t)Bu)]U[η(5)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)C(═N(i)Pr)N((i)Pr)-κN] (5). The product of double insertion of (t)BuN≡C into the U-C bonds of 1, namely [η(5):η(2)-C(5)Me(4)SiMe(2)CH(2)C(═N(t)Bu)](2)U (6), was found to undergo an unusual thermal rearrangement that formally involves C-H bond activation, C-C bond cleavage, and C-C bond coupling to form the first formimidoyl actinide complex, [η(5):η(5):η(3)-(t)BuNC(CH(2)SiMe(2)C(5)Me(4))(CHSiMe(2)C(5)Me(4))]U(η(2)-HC═N(t)Bu) (7).  相似文献

We report in this communication the study of the intramolecular electron transfer through a 2,7-diethynylfluorenyl spacer in the Fe(II)/Fe(III) mixed-valent (MV) complex [(η(2)-dppe)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))FeC≡C(2,7-C(21)H(24))C≡CFe(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(η(2)-dppe)][PF(6)] (1[PF(6)]). The complex is generated in situ by comproportionation from its homovalent dinuclear Fe(II) and Fe(III) parents (1 and 1[PF(6)](2)). It is shown that electronic delocalization is much more effective through a 2,7-fluorenyl than through a 4,4'-biphenyl bridging unit.  相似文献

A series of cationic, neutral, and anionic allylgallium complexes has been isolated and fully characterized. It includes neutral [Ga(η(1)-C(3)H(5))(3)(L)] (1, L = THF; 2, L = OPPh(3)), cationic [Ga(η(1)-C(3)H(5))(2)(THF)(2)](+)[A](-) (3, [A](-) = [B(C(6)F(5))(4)](-); 4, [A](-) = [B(C(6)H(3)Cl(2))(4)](-)), as well as anionic [Cat](+)[Ga(η(1)-C(3)H(5))(4)](-) (5, [Cat](+) = K(+); 6, [Cat](+) = [K(dibenzo-18-c-6](+); 7, [Cat](+) = [PPh(4)](+)). Binding modes of the allyl ligand in solution and in the solid state have been studied comparatively. Single crystal X-ray analyses revealed a four-coordinate neutral gallium center in 2, a five-coordinate cationic gallium center in 4 and [4·THF], and a four-coordinate anionic gallium center with a bridging μ(2)-η(1):η(2) coordination mode of the allyl ligand in 6. The reactivity of this series of allylgallium complexes toward benzophenone and N-heteroaromatics has been investigated. Counterion effects have also been studied. Reactions of 1 and 5 with isoquinoline revealed the first examples of organogallium complexes reacting under 1,2-insertion with pyridine derivatives.  相似文献

The reactivities of the highly electrophilic boranes ClB(C(6)F(5))(2) (1) and [HB(C(6)F(5))(2)](n) (2) towards a range of organometallic reagents featuring metals from Groups 7-10 have been investigated. Salt elimination chemistry is observed 1 between and the nucleophilic anions eta(5)-C(5)R(5))Fe(CO)(2)](-)(R = H or Me) and [Mn(CO)(5)](-), leading to the generation of the novel boryl complexes (eta(5)-C(5)R(5))Fe(CO)(2)B(C(6)F(5))(2)[R = H (3) or Me (4)] and (OC)(5)MnB(C(6)F(5))(2) (5). Such systems are designed to probe the extent to which the strongly sigma-donor boryl ligand can also act as a pi-acceptor; a variety of spectroscopic, structural and computational probes imply that even with such strongly electron withdrawing boryl substituents, the pi component of the metal-boron linkage is a relatively minor one. Similar reactivity is observed towards the hydridomanganese anion [(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)Me)Mn(CO)(2)H](-), generating a thermally labile product identified spectroscopically as (eta(5)-C(5)H(4)Me)Mn(CO)(2)(H)B(C(6)F(5))(2) (6). Boranes 1 and 2 display different patterns of reactivity towards low-valent platinum and rhodium complexes than those demonstrated previously for less electrophilic reagents. Thus, reaction of 1 with (Ph(3)P)(2)Pt(H(2)C=CH(2)) ultimately generates EtB(C(6)F(5))(2) (10) as the major boron-containing product, together with cis-(Ph(3)P)(2)PtCl(2) and trans-(Ph(3)P)(2)Pt(C(6)F(5))Cl (9). The cationic platinum hydride [(Ph(3)P)(3)PtH](+) is identified as an intermediate in the reaction pathway. Reaction of with [(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(mu-Cl)](2), in toluene on the other hand, appears to proceed via ligand abstraction with both Ph(3)P.HB(C(6)F(5))(2) (11) and the arene rhodium(I) cation [(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(eta(6)-C(6)H(5)Me)](+) (14) ultimately being formed.  相似文献

Amide and lithium aryloxide gallates [Li(+){RGaPh(3)}(-)] (R = NMe(2), O-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3)) react with the μ(3)-alkylidyne oxoderivative ligand [{Ti(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(μ-O)}(3)(μ(3)-CH)] (1) to afford the gallium-lithium-titanium cubane complexes [{Ph(3)Ga(μ-R)Li}{Ti(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(μ-O)}(3)(μ(3)-CH)] [R = NMe(2) (3), O-2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3) (4)]. The same complexes can be obtained by treatment of the [Ph(3)Ga(μ(3)-O)(3){Ti(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))}(3)(μ(3)-CH)] (2) adduct with the corresponding lithium amide or aryloxide, respectively. Complex 3 evolves with formation of 5 as a solvent-separated ion pair constituted by the lithium dicubane cationic species [Li{(μ(3)-O)(3)Ti(3)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(μ(3)-CH)}(2)](+) together with the anionic [(GaPh(3))(2)(μ-NMe(2))](-) unit. On the other hand, the reaction of 1 with Li(p-MeC(6)H(4)) and GaPh(3) leads to the complex [Li{(μ(3)-O)(3)Ti(3)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(μ(3)-CH)}(2)][GaLi(p-MeC(6)H(4))(2)Ph(3)] (6). X-ray diffraction studies were performed on 1, 2, 4, and 5, while trials to obtain crystals of 6 led to characterization of [Li{(μ(3)-O)(3)Ti(3)(η(5)-C(5)Me(5))(3)(μ(3)-CH)}(2)][PhLi(μ-C(6)H(5))(2)Ga(p-MeC(6)H(4))Ph] 6a.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and reactivity of cationic aluminum complexes containing the N,N'-diisopropylaminotroponiminate ligand ((i)Pr(2)-ATI(-)) are described. The reaction of ((i)Pr(2)-ATI)AlR(2) (1a-e,g,h; R = H (a), Me (b), Et (c), Pr (d), (i)Bu (e), Cy (g), CH(2)Ph (h)) with [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] yields ((i)()Pr(2)-ATI)AlR(+) species whose fate depends on the properties of the R ligand. 1a and 1b react with 0.5 equiv of [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] to produce dinuclear monocationic complexes [([(i)Pr(2)-ATI] AlR)(2)(mu-R)][(C(6)F(5))(4)] (2a,b). The cation of 2b contains two ((i)()Pr(2)-ATI)AlMe(+) units linked by an almost linear Al-Me-Al bridge; 2a is presumed to have an analogous structure. 2b does not react further with [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)]. However, 1a reacts with 1 equiv of [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] to afford ((i Pr(2)-ATI)Al(C(6)F(5))(mu-H)(2)B(C(6)F(5))(2) (3) and other products, presumably via C(6)F(5)(-) transfer and ligand redistribution of a [((i)()Pr(2)-ATI)AlH][(C(6)F(5))(4)] intermediate. 1c-e react with 1 equiv of [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] to yield stable base-free [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)AlR][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] complexes (4c-e). 4c crystallizes from chlorobenzene as 4c(ClPh).0.5PhCl, which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. In the solid state the PhCl ligand of 4c(ClPh) is coordinated by a dative PhCl-Al bond and an ATI/Ph pi-stacking interaction. 1g,h react with [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] to yield ((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(R)(C(6)F(5)) (5g,h) via C(6)F(5)(-) transfer of [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)AlR][(BC(6)F(5))(4)] intermediates. 1c,h react with B(C(6)F(5))(3) to yield ((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(R)(C(6)F(5)) (5c,h) via C(6)F(5)(-) transfer of [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)AlR][RB(C(6)F(5))(3)] intermediates. The reaction of 4c-e with MeCN or acetone yields [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(R)(L)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] adducts (L = MeCN (8c-e), acetone (9c-e)), which undergo associative intermolecular L exchange. 9c-e undergo slow beta-H transfer to afford the dinuclear dicationic alkoxide complex [(((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(mu-O(i)()Pr))(2)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)](2) (10) and the corresponding olefin. 4c-e catalyze the head-to-tail dimerization of tert-butyl acetylene by an insertion/sigma-bond metathesis mechanism involving [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(C=C(t)Bu)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] (13) and [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)Al(CH=C((t)()Bu)C=C(t)Bu)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] (14) intermediates. 13 crystallizes as the dinuclear dicationic complex [([(i Pr(2)-ATI]Al(mu-C=C(t)Bu))(2)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)](2).5PhCl from chlorobenzene. 4e catalyzes the polymerization of propylene oxide and 2a catalyzes the polymerization of methyl methacrylate. 4c,e react with ethylene-d(4) by beta-H transfer to yield [((i)Pr(2)-ATI)AlCD(2)CD(2)H][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] initially. Polyethylene is also produced in these reactions by an unidentified active species.  相似文献

A detailed study of the thermal decomposition of the zwitterionic, ring-borylated ansa-chromocene hydrido carbonyl complex [Cr(CO)H{Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))[C(5)H(3)B(C(6)F(5))(3)]}] (2) is described. This complex is formed in the reaction between [Cr(CO){Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))(2)}] (1) and B(C(6)F(5))(3) in toluene at -78 degrees C. Above -25 degrees C, 2 decomposes to a 50:50 mixture of the low-spin, 17e Cr(III) complexes [Cr(CO){Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))[C(5)H(3)B(C(6)F(5))(3)]}] (3b) and [Cr(CO){Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))(2)}][HB(C(6)F(5))(3)] (4). Carbon monoxide elimination from 3 b generates high-spin, 15 e [Cr{Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))[C(5)H(3)B(C(6)F(5))(3)]}] (3a), which coordinates two other electron-donating ligands, such as xylyl isocyanide, PMe3, and PPh(2)Me to form the low-spin, 17 e electron complexes 3c, 3d, and 3e, respectively. High-spin, 15 e [Cr{Me(4)C(2)(C(5)H(4))(2)}][HB(C(6)F(5))(3)] (5) is generated by heating 3 b in toluene at 100 degrees C and periodically removing the evolved CO. Efforts to isolate more than a few X-ray quality crystals of 5 were thwarted by its tendency to form an insoluble precipitate (6) with the same molecular formula. Heating the solution of 5 at 120 degrees C results in its partial conversion (ca. 28 %) to 3a, thereby allowing the formation of 3a in yields as high as 74 % from the reaction between 1 and B(C(6)F(5))(3). The X-ray crystal structures of 3 b-e and 5 are described. Cyclic voltammetry measurements on 3 a-e reveal a dramatic reduction in the redox potentials of the complexes relative to their non-borylated analogues. DFT calculations show that this is due primarily to electrostatic stabilization of the oxidized species by the negatively charged borylate group. EPR and 19F NMR spectroscopy allow 3a to be distinguished from its Lewis base adducts 3 b-e and reveal the relative affinities of different Lewis bases for the chromium.  相似文献

Hydrolysis of [NbCp'Cl(4)] (Cp' = η(5)-C(5)H(4)SiMe(3)) with the water adduct H(2)O·B(C(6)F(5))(3) afforded the oxo-borane compound [NbCp'Cl(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2a). This compound reacted with [MgBz(2)(THF)(2)] giving [NbCp'Bz(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2b), whereas [NbCp'Me(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2c) was obtained from the reaction of [NbCp'Me(4)] with H(2)O·B(C(6)F(5))(3). Addition of Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to solutions containing the oxo-borane compounds [MCp(R)X(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (M = Ta, Cp(R) = η(5)-C(5)Me(5) (Cp*), X = Cl 1a, Bz 1b, Me 1c; M = Nb, Cp(R) = Cp', X = Cl 2a) afforded the oxo-alane complexes [MCp(R)X(2){O·Al(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (M = Ta, Cp(R) = Cp*, X = Cl 3a, Bz 3b, Me 3c; M = Nb, Cp(R) = Cp', X = Cl 4a), releasing B(C(6)F(5))(3). Compound 3a was also obtained by addition of Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to the dinuclear μ-oxo compound [TaCp*Cl(2)(μ-O)](2), meanwhile addition of the water adduct H(2)O·Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to [TaCp*Me(4)] gave complex 3c. The structure of 2a and 3a was obtained by X-ray diffraction studies. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out to further understand these types of oxo compounds.  相似文献

The formation of adducts of tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane with strongly coordinating anions such as CN(-) and [M(CN)(4)](2)(-) (M = Ni, Pd) is a synthetically facile route to the bulky, very weakly coordinating anions [CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)](-) and [M[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)](2-) which are isolated as stable NHMe(2)Ph(+) and CPh(3)(+) salts. The crystal structures of [CPh(3)][CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)] (1), [CPh(3)][ClB(C(6)F(5))(3)] (2), [NHMe(2)Ph](2)[Ni[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)].2Me(2)CO (4b.2Me(2)CO), [CPh(3)](2)[Ni[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)].2CH(2)Cl(2) (4c.2CH(2)Cl(2)), and [CPh(3)](2)[Pd[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)].2CH(2)Cl(2) (5c.2CH(2)Cl(2)) are reported. The CN stretching frequencies in 4 and 5 are shifted by approximately 110 cm(-1) to higher wavenumbers compared to the parent tetracyano complexes in aqueous solution, although the M-C and C-N distances show no significant change on B(C(6)F(5))(3) coordination. Zirconocene dimethyl complexes L(2)ZrMe(2) [L(2) = Cp(2), SBI = rac-Me(2)Si(Ind)(2)] react with 1, 4c or 5c in benzene solution at 20 degrees C to give the salts of binuclear methyl-bridged cations, [(L(2)ZrMe)(2)(mu-Me)][CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)] and [(L(2)ZrMe)(2)(mu-Me)](2)[M[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)]. The reactivity of these species in solution was studied in comparison with the known [[(SBI)ZrMe](2)(mu-Me)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)]. While the latter reacts with excess [CPh(3)][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] in benzene to give the mononuclear ion pair [(SBI)ZrMe(+).B(C(6)F(5))(4)(-)] in a pseudo-first-order reaction, k = 3 x 10(-4) s(-1), [(L(2)ZrMe)(2)(mu-Me)][CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)] reacts to give a mixture of L(2)ZrMe(mu-Me)B(C(6)F(5))(3) and L(2)ZrMe(mu-NC)B(C(6)F(5))(3). Recrystallization of [Cp' '(2)Zr(mu-Me)(2)AlMe(2)][CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)] affords Cp' '(2)ZrMe(mu-NC)B(C(6)F(5))(3) 6, the X-ray structure of which is reported. The stability of [(L(2)ZrMe)(2)(mu-Me)](+)X(-) decreases in the order X = [B(C(6)F(5))(4)] > [M[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)] > [CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)] and increases strongly with the steric bulk of L(2) = Cp(2) < SBI. Activation of (SBI)ZrMe(2) by 1 in the presence of AlBu(i)(3) gives extremely active ethene polymerization catalysts. Polymerization studies at 1-7 bar monomer pressure suggest that these, and by implication most other highly active ethene polymerization catalysts, are strongly mass-transport limited. By contrast, monitoring propene polymerization activities with the systems (SBI)ZrMe(2)/1/AlBu(i)(3) and CGCTiMe(2)/1/AlBu(i)(3) at 20 degrees C as a function of catalyst concentration demonstrates that in these cases mass-transport limitation is absent up to [metal] approximately 2 x 10(-5) mol L(-1). Propene polymerization activities decrease in the order [CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)](-) > [B(C(6)F(5))(4)](-) > [M[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)](2-) > [MeB(C(6)F(5))(3)](-), with differences in activation barriers relative to [CN[B(C(6)F(5))(3)](2)](-) of DeltaDeltaG = 1.1 (B(C(6)F(5))(4)(-)), 4.1 (Ni[CNB(C(6)F(5))(3)](4)(2-)) and 10.7-12.8 kJ mol(-)(1) (MeB(C(6)F(5))(3)(-)). The data suggest that even in the case of very bulky anions with delocalized negative charge the displacement of the anion by the monomer must be involved in the rate-limiting step.  相似文献

The fields of sulfur-nitrogen-fluorine chemistry and noble-gas chemistry have been significantly extended by the syntheses and characterizations of four new Xe-N-bonded cations derived from N≡SF(3). The adduct-cation, F(3)S≡NXeF(+), has provided the entry point to a significant chemistry through HF solvolysis of the coordinated N≡SF(3) ligand and HF-catalyzed and solid-state rearrangements of F(3)S≡NXeF(+). The HF solvolyses of [F(3)S≡NXeF][AsF(6)] in anhydrous HF (aHF) and aHF/BrF(5) solutions yield the F(4)S═NXe(+) cation, which likely arises from an HF-catalyzed mechanism. The F(4)S═NXe(+) cation, in turn, undergoes HF displacement to form F(4)S═NH(2)(+) and XeF(2), as well as HF addition to the S═N bond to form F(5)SN(H)Xe(+). Both cations undergo further solvolyses in aHF to form the F(5)SNH(3)(+) cation. The F(4)S═NXe(+) and F(4)S═NH(2)(+) cations were characterized by NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction and exhibit high barriers to rotation about their S═N double bonds. They are the first cations known to contain the F(4)S═N- group and significantly extend the chemistry of this ligand. The solid-state rearrangement of [F(3)S≡NXeF][AsF(6)] at 22 °C has yielded [F(4)S═NXe][AsF(6)], which was characterized by Raman spectroscopy, providing the first examples of xenon bonded to an imido nitrogen and of the F(4)S═N- group bonded to a noble-gas element. The rearrangement of [F(3)S≡NXeF][AsF(6)] in a N≡SF(3) solution at 0 °C also yielded [F(4)S═NXe?N≡SF(3)][AsF(6)], which represents a rare example of a N?Xe?N linkage and the first to be characterized by X-ray crystallography. Solvolysis of N≡SF(3) in aHF was previously shown to give the primary amine F(5)SNH(2), whereas solvolysis in the superacid medium, AsF(5)/aHF, results in amine protonation to give [F(5)SNH(3)][AsF(6)]. Complete structural characterizations were not available for either species. Isolation of F(5)SNH(2)·nHF from the reaction of N≡SF(3) with HF has provided a structural characterization of F(5)SNH(2) by Raman spectroscopy. Crystal growth by sublimation of F(5)SNH(2)·nHF at -30 to -40 °C has resulted in the X-ray crystal structure of F(5)SNH(2)·2[F(5)SNH(3)][HF(2)]·4HF and structural characterizations of F(5)SNH(2) and F(5)SNH(3)(+). The redox decomposition of [F(4)S═NXe?N≡SF(3)][AsF(6)] in N≡SF(3) at 0 °C generated Xe, cis-N(2)F(2), and [F(3)S(N≡SF(3))(2)][AsF(6)].  相似文献

Two molecules of C(2)(CO(2)Me)(2) or isocyanides could be added to the title hydride complex under mild conditions to give dienyl-[W(2)Cp(2){μ-η(1),κ:η(2)-C(CO(2)Me)=C(CO(2)Me)C(CO(2)Me)=CH(CO(2)Me)}(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] (Cp = η(5)-C(5)H(5)), diazadienyl-[W(2)Cp(2){μ-κ,η:κ,η-C{CHN(4-MeO-C(6)H(4))}N(4-MeO-C(6)H(4))}(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] or aminocarbyne-bridged derivatives [W(2)Cp(2){μ-CNH(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))}(μ-PCy(2)){CN(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))}(CO)]. In contrast, its reaction with excess (4-Me-C(6)H(4))C(O)H gave the C-O bond cleavage products [W(2)Cp(2){CH(2)(4-Me-C(6)H(4))}(O)(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] and [W(2)Cp(2){μ-η:η,κ-C(O)CH(2)(4-Me-C(6)H(4))}(O)(μ-PCy(2))(CO)].  相似文献

Compounds of the new tetrafluorophthalimido anion, [C(6)F(4)(CO)(2)N](-), are readily accessible by treatment of tetrafluorophthalimide with either LiNPr(i)(2) or mixtures of NEt(3) and Me(3)ECl (E = Si or Sn), to give C(6)F(4)(CO)(2)N-X (X = Li 3, SiMe(3)4, and SnMe(3)5). The reaction of the trimethylsilyl derivative 4 with AgF leads cleanly to the ion pair complex [Ag(NCMe)(2)][Ag(N(CO)(2)C(6)F(4))(2)] (6·2MeCN), which contains a linear [Ag{N(CO)(2)C(6)F(4)}(2)](-) anion and a tetracoordinate Ag(+) cation. Compound 6 reacts with iodine to give the N-iodo compound C(6)F(4)(CO)(2)NI 7, which crystallises as an acetonitrile adduct. Treatment of 6 with LAuCl affords LAu{N(CO)(2)C(6)F(4)} (L = Ph(3)P 8a, Cy(3)P 8b, or THT 9), whereas the reaction with AuCl in acetonitrile affords the heterobinuclear compound [Ag(MeCN)(2)][Au{N(CO)(2)C(6)F(4)}(2)]·MeCN (10·3MeCN). The tetrafluorophthalimido ligand is not readily displaced by donor ligands; however, the addition of B(C(6)F(5))(3)(Et(2)O) to a diethyl ether solution of 8a leads to the salt [Au(PPh(3))(2)][N{COB(C(6)F(5))(3)}(2)C(6)F(4))] 11. The analogous reaction of (THT)Au{N(CO)(2)C(6)F(4)} with B(C(6)F(5))(3) in toluene in the presence of excess norbornene (nb) gives [Au(nb)(3)][N{COB(C(6)F(5))(3)}(2)C(6)F(4))] 12. Compounds 11 and 12 contain a new non-coordinating phthalimido-bridged diborate anion with O-bonded boron atoms. The crystal structures of compounds 2-11 are reported.  相似文献

Functionalization of the nitrogen atoms in the hafnocene oxamidide complexes [Me(2)Si(η(5)-C(5)Me(4))(η(5)-C(5)H(3)-3-(t)Bu)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)) and [(η(5)-C(5)Me(4)H)(2)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)), prepared from CO-induced N(2) bond cleavage, was explored by cycloaddition and by formal 1,2-addition chemistry. The ansa-hafnocene variant, [Me(2)Si(η(5)-C(5)Me(4))(η(5)-C(5)H(3)-3-(t)Bu)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)), undergoes facile cycloaddition with heterocumulenes such as (t)BuNCO and CO(2) to form new N-C and Hf-O bonds. Both products were crystallographically characterized, and the latter reaction demonstrates that an organic ligand can be synthesized from three abundant and often inert small molecules: N(2), CO, and CO(2). Treatment of [Me(2)Si(η(5)-C(5)Me(4))(η(5)-C(5)H(3)-3-(t)Bu)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)) with I(2) yielded the monomeric iodohafnocene isocyanate, Me(2)Si(η(5)-C(5)Me(4))(η(5)-C(5)H(3)-3-(t)Bu)Hf(I)(NCO), demonstrating that C-C bond formation is reversible. Alkylation of the oxamidide ligand in [(η(5)-C(5)Me(4)H)(2)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)) was explored due to the high symmetry of the complex. A host of sequential 1,2-addition reactions with various alkyl halides was discovered and both N- and N,N'-alkylated products were obtained. Treatment with Br?nsted acids such as HCl or ethanol liberates the free oxamides, H(R(1))NC(O)C(O)N(R(2))H, which are useful precursors for N,N'-diamines, N-heterocyclic carbenes, and other heterocycles. Oxamidide functionalization in [(η(5)-C(5)Me(4)H)(2)Hf](2)(N(2)C(2)O(2)) was also accomplished with silanes and terminal alkynes, resulting in additional N-Si and N-H bond formation, respectively.  相似文献
