We present a straightforward, economically viable, and "green" approach for the synthesis and stabilization of relatively monodisperse Au nanocrystals with an average diameter of 8.2 nm (standard deviation, SD=2.3 nm) by using nontoxic and renewable biochemical of beta-D-glucose and by simply adjusting the pH environment in aqueous medium. The beta-D-glucose acts both as reducing agent and capping agent for the synthesis and stabilization of Au nanocrystals in the system. The UV/Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), electron diffraction (ED), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques were employed to systematically characterize Au nanocrystals synthesized. Additionally, it is shown that these beta-D-glucose-stabilized Au nanocrystals function as effective catalyst for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol in the presence of NaBH4 (otherwise unfeasible if only the strong reducing agent NaBH4 is employed), which was reflected by the UV/Vis spectra of the catalytic reaction kinetics.  相似文献

Palladium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylations (AAA) to form "chiral aldehyde" equivalents were investigated. Alpha-acetoxysulfones were formed in high enantiomeric excess as single regioisomers in AAA reactions of allylic geminal dicarboxylates with sodium benzenesulfinate. The directing ability of this novel functional group was highlighted by a series of dihydroxylations, affording syn diols exclusively anti to the acetoxy sulfone as single diastereomers in excellent yields. This is the first example of an asymmetric dihydroxylation protocol that gives the equivalent of reaction with a simple enal. The synthetic value of this process was exemplified by subsequent transformations of the diols including the development of a one-pot dihydroxylation-deprotective acyl migration protocol to give differentially protected 1,2-diols.  相似文献

Tin-free oximation, vinylation, and allylation of alkyl halides have been developed by using allylsilanes as di-tin surrogates. Initiation of the radical process with a peroxide provides the silyl radical, which can abstract a halogen from the corresponding alkyl halide. The resulting carbon-centered radical then adds to various acceptors, including a sulfonyloxime, a vinylsulfone, and an allylsulfone, leading to formation of the desired products along with the corresponding allylsulfone resulting from the reaction of the PhSO(2) radical with the allylsilane precursor. Better results were generally obtained with methallylsilane 1b than with 1a. This observation was rationalized by invoking the higher nucleophilicity of 1b and the faster β-fragmentation of the corresponding β-silyl radical intermediate. Calculation of the energy barrier for the β-fragmentation of a series of β-silyl radicals at the DFT level supported this hypothesis. Finally, a second version of these oximation and vinylation reactions, based on the utilization of 3-tris(trimethylsilyl)silylthiopropene, was devised, affording the desired oximes and olefins in reasonable yields. This strategy allowed the title reaction to be performed under milder conditions (AIBN, benzene, 80 °C), as a result of the easier β-fragmentation of the C-S bond as compared with the C-Si bond.  相似文献

[structure, reaction: see text] The U-shaped, multifunctionalized tetraetheno-bridged dicyclopenta[b,i]anthracenediol 10 was synthesized to serve as a platform molecule. The molecule was prepared from the Diels-Alder adduct 5a of tricycloundecatriene 3 and bicyclo[2.2.2]octene-fused p-benzoquinone 4. Functionalization of 10 to construct crab-like molecules was achieved via the base-promoted bis-O-alkylation of two endo-oriented hydroxyl groups at termini in 10 with the following alkyl halides: allyl, propagyl, and benzyl bromides; 1-bromo- and 1-iodo-4-(bromomethyl)benzene; 9-(bromomethyl)anthracene; 1-(bromomethyl)pyrene; and isomeric bromomethylpyridines. Single-crystal X-ray structures were obtained for bis-phenyl (21) and bis-pyrenyl (25) crabs, and for the silver(I) complex (32 and 33) crabs. The silver(I) complex 32 from bis-o-pyridyl crab 30 is a [2+2] dimeric dimetallocyclophane, and 33 from bis-m-pyridyl crab 29 is a [1+1] metallo-bridged cyclophane. The self-assembled intramolecular pi-stacking of pyrenyl rings in 25 with an interplanar distance of 3.40 A and the consequent pi-pi interactions were revealed by the X-ray crystal structure and its luminescence property.  相似文献

Biothiols such as cysteine(Cys), homocysteine(Hcy) and glutathione(GSH) act as critical roles in maintaining biological redox homeostasis, which is crucial for a plenty of physiological and pathological processes. Therefore, the detection of biothiols is very important and beneficial for many applications. Herein, we have designed and developed a new crystal dimethyl 4-(2,4-dinitrophenylsulfonyloxy)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate(P) with 2,4-dinitrobenzene-1-sulfonyl(DNBS) pendant for light-up and detection of biothiols(Cys was selected as the analyte model). The fluorescence "off-on" switch is triggered by the cleavage of DNBS unit by the interaction with biothiols via nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction. The turn-on fluorescent probe exhibited excellent selectivity and sensitivity toward biothiols.  相似文献

The total synthesis of a powerful antitumor acetogenin, mucocin (1), was achieved through a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of the THP-THF fragment 2 and a terminal butenolide 3. The key process for construction of the fragment 2 was chelation-controlled addition of ethynylmagnesium chloride to disilyl aldehyde 23a and condensation of the alkyllithium prepared therefrom with THP aldehyde 4 in the presence of CeCl(3). Synthesis of the lactone 3 relied on a novel approach by taking advantage of a radical cyclization of acyclic selenocarbonate 6. The three building blocks 4, 5a, and 6 were prepared stereoselectivly from D-galactose (7), 2,5-anhydro-D-mannitol (8), and L-rhamnose (9), respectively. A new and efficient method for desymmetrization of the C(2)-symmetrical compound 8 is also described.  相似文献

We report on the design and synthesis of three series of segmented amphiphilic block codendrimers, and on their self-organizing behavior in liquid-crystalline mesophases. Connecting two prefunctionalized monodendrons, each differing in their chemical constitution and generation number, yielded these diblock supermolecules. One wedge of the codendrimer was made hydrophobic, and is based on a branched poly(benzyl ether) monodendron functionalized at the periphery by lipophilic aliphatic fragments (also known as Percec dendrons). The other segment was made hydrophilic by the grafting of hydroxyl-containing moieties onto the focal functions of the former dendrons. Both types of dendrons were prepared independently by convergent methods and then joined in the ultimate stage of the synthetic procedure by cross-coupling reactions. In this way, the proportion of the dendritic blocks was varied independently to allow control of the hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance (HHB), the hydrogen-bonding ability, and consequently the capacity to tune the mesomorphic properties of the resulting "superamphiphiles" was anticipated. Essentially all the dendritic compounds display a thermotropic mesomorphism directly at or near room temperature as determined by using X-ray diffraction, polarized optical microscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. The nature and the supramolecular organization of the mesophases, namely columnar and cubic phases, are correlated to the size of the respective block monodendrons and the chemical structures of the dendromesogens. The molecular organization within the cubic phases can be geometrically described and well understood by the space-filling polyhedron model.  相似文献

Reaction of P-dimethylaminophosphonic acid bis(1-methylhydrazide) (6) with trimethyl orthobenzoate gave 1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-1,5-dimethyl-6-(N,N-dimethylamino)-6-phenyl-1,2,4,5,6-tetrazaphosphorine-6-oxide (7), which was subsequently oxidized to the corresponding P-diemthylamino-6-phosphaverdazyl (5) as a persistent radical. Analysis of the electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum of 5 revealed significant spin density on the exocyclic nitrogen but very little spin density on the phosphorus, in contrast to the previously reported P-phenyl-6-phosphaverdazyl (4). Density functional theory calculations on simplified models of 4, 5, and related radicals were performed and revealed that spin polarization effects and the nature of the substituents on phosphorus have significant effects on the structures and spin distributions of these radicals. The spin transfer to the dimethylamino group in 5 was revealed to arise from spiroconjugation-type overlap between the nitrogen 2p orbital with the verdazyl radical singly occupied molecular orbital.  相似文献

Sapphyrins are an important group of expanded porphyrins that show valuable anion binding characteristics. In this study, a "4 + 1" route to sapphyrin systems has been developed. Reaction of dialdehydes with a known tetrapyrrole intermediate 11b incorporating a bipyrrolic subunit afforded a wide range of sapphyrin-type products. The best conditions for these reactions involved carrying out the condensation of the dialdehydes with the tetrapyrrole in TFA-dichloromethane, followed by oxidation with dilute aqueous solutions of ferric chloride. A pyrrole dialdehyde reacted under these conditions to give sapphyrin in 50% yield, while furan and thiophene dialdehydes afforded the corresponding oxa- and thiasapphyrins in 66-90% yield. Pyrrole dialdehydes with fused phenanthrene or acenaphthylene rings also reacted with 11b to give the related phenanthro- and acenaphthosapphyrins in excellent yields. As was the case for acenaphthoporphyrins, the acenaphthosapphyrin gave longer wavelength absorptions than the corresponding phenanthrene fused structure, although the differences were not as marked as those seen in the porphyrin series. Reaction of 11b with 1,3-diformylindene gave a benzocarbasapphyrin in 38% yield, while a triformyl cyclopentadiene reacted with the tetrapyrrole to give a carbasapphyrin aldehyde in 7-12% yield. The free base carbasapphyrins were unstable but the monoprotonated hydrochloride salts could easily be isolated and characterized. Carbasapphyrins retain a strong diatropic ring current due to the presence of 22pi electron delocalization pathways. In the presence of trifluoroacetic acid, C-protonated dications are generated. Condensation of 1,3-azulenedicarbaldehyde with 11b gave an azulisapphyrin dihydrochloride salt in 35% yield, and this also showed a strong diatropic ring current. Addition of base gave the unstable free base form, while pyrrolidine formed an unstable adduct that showed an intense Soret band at 480 nm. These results demonstrate that many of the themes observed for modified porphyrins and carbaporphyrins also apply to the sapphyrin series, although in some cases reduced stability hampers these investigations.  相似文献

Deliberate digression from the blueprint of the total syntheses of latrunculin A (1) and latrunculin B (2) reported in the accompanying paper allowed for the preparation of a focused library of "latrunculin-like" compounds, in which all characteristic structural elements of these macrolides were subject to pertinent molecular editing. Although all previously reported derivatives of 1 and 2 were essentially devoid of any actin-binding capacity, the synthetic compounds presented herein remain fully functional. One of the designer molecules with a relaxed macrocyclic backbone, that is compound 44, even surpasses latrunculin B in its effect on actin while being much easier to prepare. This favorable result highlights the power of "diverted total synthesis" as compared to the much more widely practiced chemical modification of a given lead compound by conventional functional group interconversion. A computational study was carried out to rationalize the observed effects. The analysis of the structure of the binding site occupied by the individual ligands on the G-actin host shows that latrunculin A and 44 both have similar hydrogen-bond network strengths and present similar ligand distortion. In contrast, the H-bond network is weaker for latrunculin B and the distortion of the ligand from its optimum geometry is larger. From this, one may expect that the binding ability follows the order 1 >/= 44 > 2, which is in accord with the experimental data. Furthermore, the biological results provide detailed insights into structure/activity relationships characteristic for the latrunculin family. Thus, it is demonstrated that the highly conserved thiazolidinone ring of the natural products can be replaced by an oxazolidinone moiety, and that inversion of the configuration at C16 (latrunculin B numbering) is also well accommodated. From a purely chemical perspective, this study attests to the maturity of ring-closing alkyne metathesis (RCAM) catalyzed by a molybdenum alkylidyne complex generated in situ, which constitutes a valuable tool for advanced organic synthesis and natural product chemistry.  相似文献

A recently proposed new family of density functionals [S. Grimme, J. Chem. Phys. 124, 34108 (2006)] adds a fraction of nonlocal correlation as a new ingredient to density functional theory (DFT). This fractional correlation energy is calculated at the level of second-order many-body perturbation theory (PT2) and replaces some of the semilocal DFT correlation of standard hybrid DFT methods. The new "double hybrid" functionals (termed, e.g., B2-PLYP) contain only two empirical parameters that have been adjusted in thermochemical calculations on parts of the G2/3 benchmark set. The methods have provided the lowest errors ever obtained by any DFT method for the full G3 set of molecules. In this work, the applicability of the new functionals is extended to the exploration of potential energy surfaces with analytic gradients. The theory of the analytic gradient largely follows the standard theory of PT2 gradients with some additional subtleties due to the presence of the exchange-correlation terms in the self-consistent field operator. An implementation is reported for closed-shell as well as spin-unrestricted reference determinants. Furthermore, the implementation includes external point charge fields and also accommodates continuum solvation models at the level of the conductor like screening model. The density fitting resolution of the identity (RI) approximation can be applied to the evaluation of the PT2 part with large gains in computational efficiency. For systems with approximately 500-600 basis functions the evaluation of the double hybrid gradient is approximately four times more expensive than the calculation of the standard hybrid DFT gradient. Extensive test calculations are provided for main group elements and transition metal containing species. The results reveal that the B2-PLYP functional provides excellent molecular geometries that are superior compared to those from standard DFT and MP2.  相似文献

"Tritopic" picolinic dihydrazone ligands with tridentate coordination pockets are designed to produce homoleptic [3 x 3] nonanuclear square grid complexes on reaction with transition-metal salts, and many structurally documented examples have been obtained with Mn(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) ions. However, other oligomeric complexes with smaller nuclearities have also been discovered and identified structurally in some reactions involving Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II), with certain tritopic ligands. This illustrates the dynamic nature of the metal-ligand interaction and the conformationally flexible nature of the ligands and points to the possible involvement of some of these species as intermediates in the [3 x 3] grid formation process. Examples of mononuclear, dinuclear, hexanuclear, heptanuclear, and nonanuclear species involving Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) salts with a series of potentially heptadentate picolinic dihydrazone ligands with pyrazine, pyrimidine, and pyridine end groups are described in the present study. Iron and cobalt complexation reactions are complicated by redox processes, which lead to mixed-oxidation-state Co(II)/Co(III) systems when starting with Co(II) salts, and reduction of Fe(III) to Fe(II) when starting with Fe(III). Magnetic exchange within the polynuclear structural frameworks is discussed and related to the structural features.  相似文献

Two classes of diastereomerically enriched chiral tridentate ligands incorporating either two oxazolidine and one pyridine ( 1) or two pyridine and one oxazolidine ( 2a-c) donor groups have been made in a high-yielding modular fashion from readily available enantiopure amino alcohols and aldehydes. Both ligand classes readily formed metal complexes via 1:1 reactions with trans-PdCl 2(PhCN) 2. The compounds Pd( 1)Cl 2 and Pd( 2a-c)Cl 2 were formed as mixtures of 3 and 2 diastereomers, respectively, owing to indeterminate absolute configuration at the C (2) position of their constituent oxazolidine rings. Within each diastereomeric manifold, the metal complexes existed as equilibrium mixtures of bi- and tridentate isomers in solution, the interconversion between which was very rapid even at -50 degrees C. The fluxional nature of the compounds was inferred from a combination of (1)H and (15)N NMR spectroscopic and solution conductivity data. Substitution of one chloride ligand for hexafluorophosphate gave as mixtures of diastereomers the salts [Pd( 1-kappa N,kappa (2) N')Cl]PF 6 ( 8) and [Pd( 2a-c-kappa N,kappa N',kappa N')Cl]PF 6 ( 12a-c) in which the ligands were coordinated through all three N-donors. A single recrystallization of 8 gave in optically pure form the major diastereomer 8 ( maj ), which was characterized crystallographically. Complexes of 2a-c differed substantially from those of the bis(pyridylmethyl)amine (bpma) ligand family with which they shared direct atom-for-atom connectivity in the coordinating groups. The amines are known to form exclusively the static tridentate complexes [PdCl(bpma-kappa N,kappa (2) N')]Cl; the difference was attributed to torsional strain associated with the rigid oxazolidine ring in tricoordinated 2a-c.  相似文献

A set of N-substituted benzoperylene monoimide (BPI) fluorophores was synthesized and characterized structurally and photophysically. Condensation of benzo[ghi]perylene-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride in the presence of "swallow tail" alkyl amines produced fluorophores that are soluble in a range of organic solvents, highly absorbing in the near-UV (ε(334) = 79,000 M(-1) cm(-1)), and fluorescent in the visible range. Photophysical behavior of the compounds was studied with steady-state and time-correlated single photon counting. The synthesized BPIs exhibit positive solvachromatic emission (λ(em) (hexane) = 469 nm; λ(em) (ethanol) = 550 nm) as a function of solvent polarity with little change in their excited-state lifetime (9.6-6.5 ns) and fluorescence quantum yield (0.27-0.44) over the polarity range studied. Solvachromatic shifts were analyzed using the Lippert-Mataga approach. In nonpolar hydrocarbon solvents evidence of dual emission from closely spaced (562 cm(-1)) S(1) and S(2) excited states is observed. Preliminary peak assignments for the anomalous S(2) emission are made.  相似文献

A fifteen-year riddle has been settled: neutralization, the most popular chemical event, of a crown ether/sec-ammonium salt-type rotaxane has been achieved and a completely nonionic crown ether/sec-amine-type rotaxane isolated. A [2]rotaxane was prepared as a typical substrate from a mixture of dibenzo[24]crown-8 ether (DB24C8) and sec-ammonium hexafluorophosphate (PF(6)) with a terminal hydroxy group through end-capping with 3,5-dimethylbenzoic anhydride in the presence of tributylphosphane as a catalyst in 90% yield. A couple of approaches to the neutralization of the ammonium rotaxane were investigated to isolate the free sec-amine-type rotaxane by decreasing the degree of thermodynamic and kinetic stabilities. One approach was the counteranion-exchange method in which the soft counterion PF(6)(-) was replaced with the fluoride anion by mixing with tetrabutylammonium fluoride, thus decreasing the cationic character of the ammonium moiety. Subsequent simple washing with a base allowed us to isolate the free sec-amine-type rotaxane in a quantitative yield. The other approach was a synthesis based on a protection/deprotection protocol. The acylation of the sec-ammonium moiety with 2,2,2-trichloroethyl chloroformate gave an N-carbamated rotaxane that could be deprotected by treating with zinc in acetic acid to afford the corresponding free sec-amine-type rotaxane in a quantitative yield. The structure of the free sec-amine-type rotaxane was fully confirmed by spectral and analytical data. The generality of the counteranion-exchange method was also confirmed through the neutralization of a bisammonium-type [3]rotaxane. The mechanism was studied from the proposed potential-energy diagram of the rotaxanes with special emphasis on the role of the PF(6)(-) counterion.  相似文献

EPR dosimetry method with alpha-alanine as radiation sensitive material (RSM) is widely used in high dose dosimetry laboratories. However, it is not suitable for routine industrial applications mainly because of difficult EPR measurement procedure. In order to simplify quantitative EPR dosimetry measurements Yordanov and Gancheva developed so-called "self-calibrated" (sc) dosimeters consists of RSM (alpha-alanine, sugar, other ones), Mn2+/MgO as internal EPR intensity standard (IES) and a binder. The aim of this work was to check dosimetric properties of two experimental batches of sc EPR dosimeters with alpha-alanine and sugar as RSM, Mn2+/MgO as IES and paraffin as a binder. The percentage content of the components was 60, 5 and 35% (w/w), respectively. It was established that the investigated alanine sc-dosimeters are about two times more sensitive than the sugar ones. The dose-response coefficient, K(dr) of sc-alanine dosimeters was stable in all investigated dose range from 1 to 23 kGy. The K(dr)-value of sugar sc-dosimeters decreased with the dose what was in a contradiction to the results pointed to the high stability of radiation generated sugar radicals. The observed effect arose probably from the special chemical procedure used for the sc-sugar dosimeters production. The results confirmed an expectation that the position of sc dosimeter in the cavity is not important factor for accurate dose evaluation. It allows to read-out dosimetric signals in shorter time, with lower uncertainty and on less sophisticate EPR-spectrometers than that commonly used till now. The main shortcomings of sc dosimeters are: (a) the limitation of RSM suitable for sc dosimeters to these ones having strictly linear signal to dose characteristic; (b) necessity to assure very good homogeneity of dosimeter material; and (c) the cost of IES present in the amount of some percent in each sc dosimeter.  相似文献

An efficient route to construct a three-dimensional crystal structure is stacking of two-dimensional building blocks (2D-BBs). The crystal structures of potential thermoelectric compounds REOZnSb (RE = La, Ce, Pr, Nd) were virtually constructed from insulating [REO] and conducting [ZnSb] layers. Further optimizations performed by means of first-principles calculations show that REOZnSb should exhibit semimetal or narrow band-gap semiconductor behaviors, which is a prerequisite for high thermoelectric efficiency. The analysis of the electron localizability indicator for LaOZnSb reveals mostly covalent polar interactions between all four kinds of atoms. The electron density yields completely balanced ionic-like electronic formula La(1.7+)O(1.2-)Zn(0.4+)Sb(0.9-). Furthermore, the samples of REOZnSb have been synthesized via solid-state reaction, and their crystal structures were confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction. The differences in cell parameters between the theoretically optimized and the experimental values are smaller than 2%. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility shows that LaOZnSb is diamagnetic above 40 K, whereas CeOZnSb, PrOZnSb and NdOZnSb are Curie-Weiss-type paramagnets. Electrical conductivity and Seebeck effect measurements indicate that REOZnSb are p-type semiconductors. A considerably high Seebeck coefficient and low thermal conductivity were obtained for pure LaOZnSb, but its low electrical conductivity leads to a small ZT. The high adjustability of the crystal structure as well as properties by optimization of the chemical composition in the compounds REOZnSb provide good prospects for achieving high thermoelectric efficiency.  相似文献

The C2-symmetric ("[DL]") and achiral ("[meso]") diastereoisomers of the hydrogen iodide salt of 1,8-bis-(N-benzyl-N-methylamino)naphthalene ([2H]-[I] ) interconvert in solution. Direct interconversion of the diastereoisomers of [2H]+ must involve hydrogen bond fission (to give "[nonHB-2H+]") and rotation-inversion of the non-protonated nitrogen centre. The global activation parameters (deltaH++ and deltaS++) for diastereoisomer interconversion in [D7]DMF have been determined from rate data obtained by temperature-drop and magnetisation-transfer 13C NMR spectroscopy over a temperature range of 170 degrees C. The process is found to have a high entropy of activation in both directions (deltaS++=163(+/-4) and 169(+/-4) JK(-1)mol(-1)) and this is suggested to arise through hydrogen bonding of the ammonium centre in [nonHB-2H+] with the solvent ([D7]DMF). Comparison of the enthalpy of activation (deltaH++) with that earlier found for diastereoisomer interconversion of the free-base form 2 suggests that the intramolecular hydrogen bond in [2H]+ is roughly equal in enthalpic strength (deltaH) with that made with the solvent ([D7]DMF) in the non-hydrogen-bonded intermediate [nonHB-2H+]. As such, the hydrogen bonding in [2H]+ may be considered as predominantly an entropically driven process, without any unusual enthalpic strength.  相似文献
