Recently, there has been an increasing interest in the study of initial boundary value problems for Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equations. In this paper, we propose a numerical scheme to solve the third-order nonlinear KdV equation using collocation points and approximating the solution using multiquadric (MQ) radial basis function (RBF). The scheme works in a similar fashion as finite-difference methods. Numerical examples are given to confirm the good accuracy of the presented scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, a collocation technique with the modified equilibrium on line method (ELM) for imposition of Neumann (natural) boundary conditions is presented for solving the two-dimensional problems of linear elastic body vibrations. In the modified ELM, equilibrium over the lines on the natural boundary is satisfied as Neumann boundary condition equations. In other words, the natural boundary conditions are satisfied naturally by using the weak formulation. The performance of the modified version of the ELM is studied for collocation methods based on two different ways to construct meshless shape functions: moving least squares approximation and radial basis point interpolation. Numerical examples of two-dimensional free and forced vibration analyses show that by using the modified ELM, more stable and accurate results would be obtained in comparison with the direct collocation method.  相似文献

The effective behaviour of linear viscoelastic heterogeneous material can be derived from the correspondence principle and the inversion of the obtained symbolic homogenized behavior. Various numerical methods were proposed to carry out this inversion. The collocation method, widely used, within this framework rests on a discretization of the characteristic spectrum in a sum of discrete lines for which it is necessary to determine the intensities and the positions by the minimization of the difference between the exact temporal function and its approximation. The classical method is based on a priori choice of the lines positions and on the optimization of their intensities. It is shown here that the combined optimization of the positions and the (positive) intensities lead to a minimization problem under constraints. In the simple case of an incompressible isotropic two-phase material, the assessment of the effective relaxation function with a continuum spectra or made up of discrete lines proves that the proposed method improves the predictions of the classical approach.  相似文献

A variant of the boundary element method, called the boundary contour method (BCM), offers a further reduction in dimensionality. Consequently, boundary contour analysis of two-dimensional problems does not require any numerical integration at all. In another development, a boundary contour implementation of a regularized hypersingular boundary integral equation (HBIE) using quadratic elements and end-node collocation was proposed and the technique is termed the hypersingular boundary contour method (HBCM). As reported in that work, the approach requires highly refined meshes in order to numerically enforce the stress continuity across boundary contour elements. This continuity requirement is very crucial since the regularized HBIE is only valid at collocation points where the stress tensor is continuous, while the computed stress at the endpoints of a boundary contour element, which is a non-conforming element, is generally not. This paper presents a new implementation of the HBCM for which the regularized HBIE is collocated at the mid-node of a boundary contour element. As the computed stress tensor is continuous at these mid-nodes, there is no need for unusually refined meshes. Some numerical tests herein show that, for the same mesh density, the HBCM using mid-node collocation has a comparable accuracy as the BCM.  相似文献

In Stokes equations the velocity u and the pressure p are coupled together by the imcompressibility condition div u =0 which makes the equations difficult to solve numerically. In this paper, a method named Sinc‐collocation method with boundary treatment (SCMBT) is applied to the Stokes equations. In this paper, a new 2-D vortex method is developed, which treats the vorticity diffusion in a deterministical way. The Laplacian operator, which describes vorticity diffusion, is approximated by a contour integral. The numerical results of two model problems show that this method has a good accuracy. A meshless collocation method is developed for the static analysis of plane problems of functionally graded (FG) elastic beams and plates under transverse mechanical loads using the differential reproducing kernel (DRK) interpolation, in which the DRK interpolant is constructed by the randomly distributed nodes. A point collocation method based on this DRK interpolation is developed for the plane stress and strain problems of homogeneous and FG elastic beams and plates. It is shown that the present DRK interpolation-based collocation method is indeed a truly meshless approach with excellent accuracy and has a fast convergence rate.  相似文献

多体系统动力学方程为微分代数方程,一般将其转化成常微分方程组进行数值计算,在数值积分的过程中约束方程的违约会逐渐增大.本文对具有完整、定常约束的多体系统,在修改的带乘子Lagrange正则形式的方程的基础上,根据Baumgarte提出的违约修正的方法,给出了一种多体系统微分代数方程违约修正法和系统的动力学方程的矩阵表达式.通过对曲柄-滑块机构的数值仿真,计算结果表明本文给出的方法在计算精度和计算效率上好于Baumgarte提出的两种违约修正的方法.  相似文献

A boundary integral method with radial basis function approximation is proposed for numerically solving an important class of boundary value problems governed by a system of thermoelastostatic equations with variable coefficients. The equations describe the thermoelastic behaviors of nonhomogeneous anisotropic materials with properties that vary smoothly from point to point in space. No restriction is imposed on the spatial variations of the thermoelastic coefficients as long as all the requirements of the laws of physics are satisfied. To check the validity and accuracy of the proposed numerical method, some specific test problems with known solutions are solved.  相似文献

The mixed form of the areal groundwater flow equations is solved with a least-squares finite element procedure (LESFEM). Hydraulic head and x- and y-directed fluxes are state variables. Physical parameters and state variables are approximated using a bilinear basis. Grid refinements and irregular domain boundaries are implemented on rectangular meshes. Residuals are constructed at collocation points for conservation of mass and Darcy's law. Boundary condition residuals are constructed at discrete points along the boundary. The residuals are weighted, squared and summed. A set of algebraic equations is formed by taking the derivatives of the weighted sum of the squares of the residuals with respect to each unknown parameter in the approximation for the state variable and setting them to zero. Proper choice of a potential scaling parameter and residual weights is essential for the effective application of the algorithm. Test problem results demonstrate that the method is effective for both transient and steady state cases. The LESFEM algorithm generates a C°-continuous velocity field. The continuous velocity field and the rectangular mesh simplify the implementation of algorithms that require tracking. In addition, rectangular meshes simplify mesh and boundary generation.  相似文献

A Chebyshev collocation method for solving the unsteady two-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations in vorticity–streamfunction variables is presented and discussed. The discretization in time is obtained through a class of semi-implicit finite difference schemes. Thus at each time cycle the problem reduces to a Stokes-type problem which is solved by means of the influence matrix technique leading to the solution of Helmholtz-type equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Theoretical results on the stability of the method are given. Then a matrix diagonalization procedure for solving the algebraic system resulting from the Chebyshev collocation approximation of the Helmholtz equation is developed and its accuracy is tested. Numerical results are given for the Stokes and the Navier–Stokes equations. Finally the method is applied to a double-diffusive convection problem concerning the stability of a fluid stratified by salinity and heated from below.  相似文献

The MHD Falkner–Skan equation arises in the study of laminar boundary layers exhibiting similarity on the semi‐infinite domain. The proposed approach is equipped by the orthogonal Sinc functions that have perfect properties. This method solves the problem on the semi‐infinite domain without truncating it to a finite domain and transforming domain of the problem to a finite domain. In addition, the governing partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity variables, and then they are solved numerically by the Sinc‐collocation method. 基于二维张量积区间B样条小波及小波有限元理论,构造了一类用于分析弹性力学平面问题和中厚板问题的C0型区间B样条小波板单元。在二维小波单元的构造过程中,传统多项式插值被二维区间B样条小波尺度函数取代,进而构造形状函数和单元。与小波Galerkin方法不同,本文构造的区间B样条小波单元通过转换矩阵将无明确物理意义的小波插值系数转换到物理空间。区间B样条小波单元同时具有传统有限元和B样条函数数值逼近精度高及多种用于结构分析的基函数的优点。数值算例表明:与传统有限元和解析解相比,本文构造的二维小波单元具有求解精度高,单元数量和自由度少等优点。  相似文献
