The value distribution of differential polynomials is studied.The re- suits in this paper improve and generalize some previous theorems given by Yang Chungchun(On deficiencies of differential polynomials,Math.Z.,116(1970),197- 204),H.S.Gopalakrishna and S.S.Bhoosnurmath(On distribution of values of differential polynomials,Indian J.Pure Appl.Math.,17(1986),367-372),I.Lahiri (A note on distribution of nonhomogeneous differential polynomials,Hokkaido Math. J.,31(2002),453-458)and Yi Hongxun(On zeros of differential polynomials,Adv. in Math.,18(1989),335-351)et al.Examples show that the results in this paper are sharp.

On results of G. Brosch and T.C. Alzahary

We prove a uniqueness theorem for two non-constant meromorphic functions sharing three values which improves a recent result of T.C. Alzahary. As a consequence of our main result we also improve a theorem of G. Brosch.

Using the notion of weighted sharing of sets we prove two uniqueness theorems which improve the results proved by Fang and Qiu [H. Qiu, M. Fang, A unicity theorem for meromorphic functions, Bull. Malaysian Math. Sci. Soc. 25 (2002) 31-38], Lahiri and Banerjee [I. Lahiri, A. Banerjee, Uniqueness of meromorphic functions with deficient poles, Kyungpook Math. J. 44 (2004) 575-584] and Yi and Lin [H.X. Yi, W.C. Lin, Uniqueness theorems concerning a question of Gross, Proc. Japan Acad. Ser. A 80 (2004) 136-140] and thus provide an answer to the question of Gross [F. Gross, Factorization of meromorphic functions and some open problems, in: Proc. Conf. Univ. Kentucky, Lexington, KY, 1976, in: Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 599, Springer, Berlin, 1977, pp. 51-69], under a weaker hypothesis.

On Homogeneous Differential Polynomials of Meromorphic Functions

In this paper, we study one conjecture proposed by W. Bergweiler and show that any transcendental meromorphic functions f(z) have the form exp(αz+β) if f(z)f″(z)–a(f′ (z))²≠0, where .
