The syntheses, crystal structures, and the experimental and theoretical magnetochemical characterization for three tetrametallic Ni(II) clusters, namely, [Ni(4)(L)(4)(Cl)(2)(MeOH)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·4MeOH (1), [Ni(4)(L)(4)(N(3))(2)(MeOH)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2MeOH (2), and [Ni(4)(L1)(4)(pyz)(2)(PhCOO)(2)(MeOH)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·7MeOH (3) (where HL and HL1 represent bipyridine-2-carboxamideoxime and pyrimidine-2-carboxamideoxime, respectively) are reported. Within the Ni(4)(2+) units of these compounds, distorted octahedral Ni(II) ions are bridged by carboxamideoximato ligands to adopt a distorted tetrahedral disposition. The Ni(4)(2+) unit, of C(2) symmetry, can also be viewed as a cube with single [O-atom] and double [NO oxime] bridging groups as atom edges, which define two almost square-planar Ni(O)(2)Ni rings and four irregular hexagonal Ni(NO)(2)Ni rings. To analyze the magnetic properties of 1-3, we have considered the simplest two-J model, where J(1) = J(2) (exchange interactions between the Ni(II) ions belonging to the Ni(O)(2)Ni square rings) and J(a) = J(b) = J(c) = J(d) (exchange interactions between the Ni(II) ions belonging to the Ni-(NO)(2)Ni hexagonal rings) with the Hamiltonian H = -J(1)(S(1)S(2) + S(3)S(4)) - J(a)(S(1)S(3) + S(1)S(4) + S(2)S(3) + S(2)S(4)). The J(1) and J(a) values derived from the fitting of the experimental susceptibility data are -5.8 cm(-1) and -22.1 cm(-1) for 1; -2.4 cm(-1) and -22.8 cm(-1) for 2, and +15.6 cm(-1) and -10.8 cm(-1) for 3. The magneto-structural results and density-functional theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate that the exchange interactions inside the Ni(μ-O)(2)Ni square rings depend on the Ni-O-Ni bridging angle (θ) and the out-of-plane angle of the NO oximate bridging group with respect to the Ni(O)(2)Ni plane (τ), whereas the interactions propagated through the Ni-N-O(Ni)-Ni exchange pathways defining the side of the hexagonal rings depend on the Ni-N-O-Ni torsion angle (α). In both cases, theoretical magneto-structural correlations were obtained, which allow the prediction of the angle for which ferromagnetic interactions are expected. For compound 3, the existence of the axial magnetic exchange pathway through the syn-syn benzoate bridge may also contribute (in addition to the θ and τ angles) to the observed F interaction in this compound through orbital countercomplementarity, which has been supported by DFT calculations. Finally, DFT calculations clearly show that the antiferromagnetic exchange increases when the dihedral angle between the O-Ni-O planes of the Ni(μ-O)(2)Ni square ring, β, increases.  相似文献

The bis(-diimino-tetracyano-pyrrolizinido)-Cu(II) complex (CuL2) has been incorporated in polystyrene (0.28% w/w), by evaporating tetrahydrofuran solutions either at room temperature (a) or at 100°C (b). From IR and UV-vis measurements and optical microscopy on the resulting films (a orb, thickness 50 m) it is concluded that CuL2 is present as a concentrated (C10–1 M) THF solution ina and as small solid particles (diameter <1 m) inb. The difference in colour of the films (dark bluea, light blueb), due to the different physical state of CuL2 in the matrix, is expected, and has been preliminarily shown using similar films based on NiL2, to be useful for sensing organic vapours in the atmosphere.  相似文献

A new series of dinuclear phosphinato-bridged manganese(II) complexes [Mn(μ-bmp)(bpy)(NO3)]2 (1), [Mn(μ-bmp)(phen)(NO3)]2·4CH2Cl2 (2) and [Mn2(μ-bmp)2(5-dmbpy)2(NO3)]2 (3) where Hbmp is bis(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphinic acid, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline and 5-dmbpy = 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-dipyridyl, have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. In this series, the structures consist in bis(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphinato anions (bmp) bridging the two Mn(II) centers in a syn-syn coordination mode. The coordination geometry around the Mn(II) ions in 1-3 is six-coordinate with distorted octahedral environment. The magnetic behavior of these complexes is reported. The complexes show weak antiferromagnetic coupling with |J| in the range 0.1-0.6 cm−1. The magnetic properties are discussed in relation to the structural data.  相似文献

The reaction of H(2)L (N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methylbenzyl)-ethylenediamine) with different copper salts, in methanol and using a H(2)L/Cu = 2 : 3 molar ratio, led to four new bis(μ-diphenoxo)-bridged Cu(3) complexes of general formula [{Cu(S)(μ-L)}(2)Cu(H(2)O)(2n)]X(2) (S = CH(3)OH, n = 1 and X = BF(4)(-) for (1) or ClO(4)(-) for (2); S = Br(3)(-) anion and n = 1 without any X species for (3); S = H(2)O, n = 0 and X = NO(3)(-) for (4)). The use in the same reaction conditions of 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) as connector led to the chain complex [{Cu(μ-4,4'-bipy)(0.5)(μ-L)}(2)Cu(H(2)O)(2n)](ClO(4))(2)·17H(2)O (5). The structure of the centrosymmetric trinuclear unit in (1)-(5) consists of two [Cu(L)] fragments connected through two phenoxo bridging groups to the central copper(II) ion giving rise to a linear arrangement of the copper(II) ions, where the ligand acts in a compartmental form wrapping the metal centre with a N(2)O(2) tetradentate bridging mode. The coordination polyhedron of the symmetrically related external copper atoms exhibits a geometry very close to square-pyramidal, whereas the central copper(II) atom displays either a tetragonally elongated octahedral geometry or a square-planar geometry. Owing to the steric hindrance promoted by the methoxy groups at the phenyl rings, the whole Cu(3) structure is not planar but folded along the line connecting the phenoxo bridging oxygen atoms of the same ligand. Temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of complexes (1)-(5) was measured, showing strong antiferromagnetic interactions between the central and external atoms through the bis(μ-phenoxo) groups. DFT calculations were also performed (a) to support the experimental values of the coupling constant (J(1)) between the nearest-neighbouring copper atoms, (b) to determine the magnitude of the interactions between next-nearest copper(II) atoms (J(2)) and (c) to study magneto-structural correlations for this kind of bis(μ-diphenoxo) trinuclear copper(II) complex.  相似文献

A new (μ-chloro)-bridged complex [Cu(HL)Cl]2 · H2O (1) with the Schiff base ligand H2L, [2-((E)-(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl)-4-bromophenol], has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV–Vis and EPR spectroscopic studies. X-ray diffraction studies show that 1 is a binuclear CuII complex with a pair of chlorine atoms bridging the copper atoms in a central Cu2Cl2 core. Each copper atom in 1 adopts a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with the imine nitrogen atom, alkoxy and phenoxy oxygen atoms from the Schiff base ligand and a bridging chlorine atom constructing the basal plane, while the apical position of the pyramid is occupied by the other bridging chlorine atom. Variable temperature susceptibility measurements show that complex 1 presents the highest ferromagnetic coupling [J = +43.2(5) cm−1] reported till date in any doubly chloro-bridged CuII dimer, and a weak interdimer antiferromagnetic coupling [J′ = -0.276(8) cm−1]. The complex also exhibits high catalytic activity towards the oxidation of hydrocarbons using H2O2 as terminal oxidant.  相似文献

DFT simulations of ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone in the presence of two stannylenes based on bis(2-amidoethyl)amine ligands demonstrated that rate limiting step of the whole process is the nucleophilic attack of a metal initiator with the formation of the tetrahedral carbon from sp2 carbon atom of the carboxy group. The presence of electron-withdrawing groups at the terminal nitrogen atoms of the ligands leads to decrease in the activation energy of the rate limiting step.  相似文献

Catalytic studies on the air- and moisture-stable triphenylphosphine (PPh3) adducts of heteroannular cyclopalladated ferrocenylimines [PdCl{C5H4FeC5H4CHRN=CHC4H3X}(Ph3P)] (R = H, CH3; X = S, O) indicate that they are all effective catalysts for the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction of activated aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid in water under air atmosphere. Typically, using 1 mol‰ of catalyst in the presence of 1.2 equivalents of K3PO4 as base in water at 100 °C provided the corresponding biaryls in good to excellent yields. Meanwhile, the structure of [PdCl{C5H4FeC5H4CH(CH3)N=CHC4H3S}(PPh3)] has been established by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique. According to the crystal structure, the palladium atom is bound to the unsubstituted Cp ring, showing the four-coordinate structure typical of palladium complexes. Molecular structures of two bis(ZnIIdioxolene) complexes are described: (TpCum,MeZn)(2)1-H2 (C106H123.50B2N12O10Zn2), tetragonal, P4/ncc, a = 25.1810(2) A, b = 25.1810(2) A, c = 34.7744(2) A, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 90 degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, Z = 8; (TpCum,MeZn)(2)1-H (C101H120B2N12O6Zn2), triclinic, P1, a = 13.6624(2) A, b = 13.80920(10) A, c = 26.62340(10) A, alpha = 96.6910(10) degrees, beta = 91.8560(10) degrees, gamma = 109.0190(10) degrees, Z = 2. One of the complexes, (TpCum,MeZn)(2)1-H2, has two protonated catecholate ligands, while the other complex, (TpCum,MeZn)(2)1-H, has one protonated catecholate and one semiquinone ligand. In the study of temperature dependence of stability constants of copper(II) complexes with N-benzyl-l-proline and N-benzyl-dl-proline it has been shown that the enantioselectivity in the given system (preference to the formation of meso-structure [Cu(d)(l)]) is caused by large entropy gain which is attended by the replacement of four molecules of water during complexation of d-shaped ligand to the monocomplex [Cu(L)(H2O)4] of the l-ligand.  相似文献

Resolution of d,l-valine, d,l-phenylalanine and d,l-proline by ligand exchange chromatography has been achieved by using polyacrylamide resins containing the l-proline-copper(II) complex as stationary phases. Ternary complexes, models of the associations occurring in the chromatographic process, have been studied in aqueous solution. The stability constants of the ternary complexes involving a copper(II) ion, N-substituted l-proline as soluble model of the active site of the resin and a l or d-α-amino acid have been calculated from potentiometric curves. The significant stereoselectivity in the ternary complexes allow to explain the chromatographic results. Possible structures for the complexes are presented.  相似文献

This investigation presents the syntheses, crystal structures, magnetic properties, and density functional theoretical modeling of magnetic behavior of two heterobridged μ-phenoxo-μ(1,1)-azido dinickel(II) compounds [Ni(II)(2)(L(1))(2)(μ(1,1)-N(3))(N(3))(H(2)O)]·CH(3)CH(2)OH (1) and [Ni(II)(2)(L(2))(2)(μ(1,1)-N(3))(CH(3)CN)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))·H(2)O·CH(3)CN (2), where HL(1) and HL(2) are the [1+1] condensation products of 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde and 1-(2-aminoethyl)-piperidine (for HL(1))/4-(2-aminoethyl)-morpholine (for HL(2)), along with density functional theoretical magneto-structural correlations of μ-phenoxo-μ(1,1)-azido dinickel(II) systems. Compounds 1 and 2 crystallize in orthorhombic (space group Pbca) and monoclinic (space group P2(1)/c) systems, respectively. The coordination environments of both metal centers are distorted octahedral. The variable-temperature (2-300 K) magnetic susceptibilities at 0.7 T of both compounds have been measured. The interaction between the metal centers is moderately ferromagnetic; J = 16.6 cm(-1), g = 2.2, and D = -7.3 cm(-1) for 1 and J = 16.92 cm(-1), g = 2.2, and D(Ni1) = D(Ni2) = -6.41 cm(-1) for 2. Broken symmetry density functional calculations of exchange interaction have been performed on complexes 1 and 2 and provide a good numerical estimate of J values (15.8 cm(-1) for 1 and 15.35 cm(-1) for 2) compared to experiments. The role of Ni-N bond length asymmetry on the magnetic coupling has been noted by comparing the structures and J values of complexes 1 and 2 together with previously published dimers 3 (Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 2009, 4982), 4 (Inorg. Chem. 2004, 43, 2427), and 5 (Dalton Trans. 2008, 6539). Our extensive DFT calculations reveal an important clue to the mechanism of coupling where the orientation of the magnetic orbitals seems to differ with asymmetry in the Ni-N bond lengths. This difference in orientation leads to a large change in the overlap integral between the magnetic orbitals and thus the magnetic coupling. DFT calculations have also been extended to develop several magneto-structural correlations in this type of complexes and the correlation aim to focus on the asymmetry of the Ni-N bond lengths reveal that the asymmetry plays a proactive role in governing the magnitude of the coupling. From a completely symmetric Ni-N bond length, two behaviors have been noted: with a decrease in bond length there is an increase in the ferromagnetic coupling, while an increase in the bond lengths leads to a decrease in ferromagnetic interaction. The later correlation is supported by experiments. The magnetic properties of 1, 2, and three previously reported related compounds have been discussed in light of the structural parameters and also in light of the theoretical correlations determined here.  相似文献

The rate constants and equilibrium constants of ligand exchange reactions between his(alkylxanthato)palladium(Ⅱ),Pd(S_2COR)_2(R=Am,n-Hex,Bz),and bis(N,N-dialkyldithiocarbamato)palladium(Ⅱ),Pd(S_2CNR_2)_2(K=Et,n-Pr,n-Bu),in chloroform solution have been determined ina temperature range of 20—50°C by means of high-performance liquid chromatography.It was foundthat both the forward and reverse reactions are of second order.All of the equilibrium constants Kdetermined are 10.3±1.0,much greater than the value(K=4)calculated statistically which indicatesthat the ternary complexes are more stable than the binary complexes.The experimental resultsrevealed that the reaction rate decreases with the increase in the size of R and R~1 groups and the latterare more remarkable,consistent with the deduction of steric effect.The activation parameters ofthe reactions have been calculated.In reaction series(11)and(12)(in the text)the isokinetic tempera-tures B=390±8K and β=346±15 K have been observed respectively.A plausiblemechanism in-volving an eight-membered ring intermediate has been proposed on the basis of experimental results.  相似文献

The crystal and molecular structure of bis(α,α′-dithio-bis(formamidinium)) bis(μ2-chloro)hexachlorodimercurate(II) C4H16Hg2Cl8N8S4 (I), where α,α′-dithio-bis(formamidine) is C2H6N4S2, was solved. Crystals are monoclinic, a = 8.6417(6) Å, b = 14.648(1) Å, c = 10.2111(8) Å, β = 104.949(1)°, V = 1248.8(2) Å3, space group P21/n, Z = 4. The crystal structure is built of HgCl 4 2? ions linked via inversion centers into [Hg2Cl8]4? pairs and C2H8N4S 2 2+ cations. [Hg2Cl8]4? anions and C2H8N4S 2 2+ cations form alternating layers linked by N-H…Cl hydrogen bonds into a framework structure.  相似文献

Two dinuclear copper(II) complexes, [LCu(μ-Cl)Cl]2 (DMF) (1) and [LCu(μ-Br)Br]2 (2), with the bidentate ligand N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)cyclohexanamine, L, were synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic (IR, UV–vis) data. The crystal structural analysis of 1 shows that both copper(II) ions are in a distorted square pyramidal N2Cl3 environment with the apical position of the copper(II) being occupied by the bridging chloride anion which is equatorial to the other copper ion, forming a dimeric copper(II) complex. The chromotropic properties of both complexes, including solvato-, thermo-, and halochromism, were investigated. The complexes show reversible thermochromism in solution which is irreversible in the solid state. It was found that the solvatochromism is due to structural change followed by solvation of the vacant sites of the complexes. Their halochromic properties were studied in pH range of 1–11 by visible absorption spectroscopy. The color changes from blue to green and to colorless are due to deprotonation and protonation of the ligands.  相似文献

Mercury(II) complexes of pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDTC) having the general formula [Hg(PDTC)X] (X = Cl?, SCN?, and CN?) and [Hg(PDTC)2] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR. The crystal structure of [Hg(PDTC)2] has also been determined by X-ray crystallography, showing that the complex is a centrosymmetric dimer, [Hg2(PDTC)4] (bis[µ2-(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato-S,S′)(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato-S,S′)mercury(II)]) (1). The solid-state structure of 1 contains two crystallographically equivalent Hg(II) centers in a distorted tetrahedron.  相似文献

The i.r. spectra of the complexes M(en)3X2 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn), trans-Cu(en)2X2, Ni(en)2X2 and M(en)X2 (M = Ni, Cu, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I) have been studied. Assignments are proposed for the tris(ethylenediamine) complexes on the basis of 15N-, N2D4- and C2D4-labelling of en and the effects of metal ion substitution in relation to our earlier study of [M(en)3]SO4 complexes. Assignments for the bis(ethylenediamine) complexes are based on our observations of halogen-sensitivity and earlier studies on metal isotope labelling and ligand deuteration of the halide complexes and a normal coordinate analysis of the [Cu(en)2]2+ species. The spectra of the halide complexes have been extended below 200 cm−1 for the first time. Finally, the spectra of the mono(ethylenediamine) complexes are discussed in relation to their known or probable structures.  相似文献
