Renormalization group approach to spin glass systems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A renormalization group transformation suitable for spin glass models and, more generally, for disordered models, is presented. The procedure is non-standard in both the nature of the additional interactions and the coarse graining transformation, that is performed on the overlap probability measure. Universality classes are thus naturally defined on a large set of models, going from and Gaussian spin glasses to Ising and fully frustrated models, and others. The proposed analysis is tested numerically on the Edwards-Anderson model in d = 4. Good estimates of the critical index ν and of T c are obtained, and an RG flow diagram is sketched for the first time. Received 17 November 2000  相似文献

The supersymmetry (SUSY) formalism for a position dependent mass problem with a more general ordering is yet to be formulated. In this paper, we present an unified SUSY approach for PDM problems of any ordering. Highlighting all non-Hermitian Hamiltonians of PDM problems are of quasi-Hermitian nature, the SUSY operators of these problems are constructed using similarity transformation. The methodology that we propose here is applicable for even more general cases where the kinetic energy term is represented by linear combination of infinite number of possible orderings. We illustrate the method with an example, namely Mathews-Lakshmanan (ML) oscillator. Our results show that the latter system is shape invariant for all possible orderings. We derive eigenvalues and eigenvectors of this nonlinear oscillator for all possible orderings including Hermitian and non-Hermitian ones.  相似文献

We investigate the effect of varying boundary conditions on the renormalization group flow in a recently developed noncommutative geometry model of particle physics and cosmology. We first show that there is a sensitive dependence on the initial conditions at unification, so that, varying a parameter even slightly can be shown to have drastic effects on the running of the model parameters. We compare the running in the case of the default and the maximal mixing conditions at unification. We then exhibit explicitly a particular choice of initial conditions at the unification scale, in the form of modified maximal mixing conditions, which have the property that they satisfy all the geometric constraints imposed by the noncommutative geometry of the model at unification, and at the same time, after running them down to lower energies with the renormalization group flow, they still agree in order of magnitude with the predictions at the electroweak scale.  相似文献

The grand potential of a system of interacting electrons is considered as a stationary point of a self-energy functional. It is shown that a rigorous evaluation of the functional is possible for self-energies that are representable within a certain reference system. The variational scheme allows to construct new non-perturbative and thermodynamically consistent approximations. Numerical results illustrate the practicability of the method. A dynamical system approach to SOC models of Zhang's type   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We discuss Zhang's model of SOC in the framework of hyperbolic dynamical systems with singularities. The fractal structure of the invariant energy distribution, correlation decay-like phenomena, and symbolic coding are discussed.  相似文献
