In the presence of amino acids as environmentally friendly ligands, CuI‐catalyzed Sonogashira cross‐coupling of various aryl halides with phenylacetylene was conducted to afford the corresponding internal alkynes. l ‐Methionine was found to be useful for this palladium‐free and amine‐free coupling reaction. It was also found that the solvent system plays an important role in this reaction, and significantly affects the product formation and reaction rate. Sonogashira coupling of aryl iodides and aryl bromides in dimethylsulfoxide or dimethylformamide gave the coupled products in good to excellent yields. A series of amine bis(phenolate) ligands bearing aryl substituents of varying steric bulk are reported and characterized using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy and high‐resolution mass spectrometry experiments. Palladium complexes derived in situ from these ligands are evaluated as catalysts for the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling of phenylboronic acid and aryl bromides. High conversions are observed for these reactions in methanol solvent at low catalyst loadings (0.01 mol%), short reaction times (30 min) and mild temperatures (30°C). Conversion is observed for a range of substrates, and is found to depend on the nature of the external base and solvent employed. These findings demonstrate the utility of catalysts derived from late transition metal complexes of amine bis(phenolate) ligands, particularly those bearing bulky cumyl substituents. The carbonylative Sonogashira coupling of aryl iodides with terminal alkynes was studied by using thermoregulated ligand–palladium as an efficient and reusable catalyst at 80 °C in water. The corresponding alkynone products were obtained in good to excellent yields under 1 atm of carbon monoxide. The isolation of the products was readily achieved by extraction with ethyl acetate, and the catalyst recovered in water can be reused and recycled up to four times without significant loss in catalytic activity. Air‐stable bis(imino)pyridine palladium(II) complexes were synthesized and complex 12 proved to be a highly efficient catalyst for the Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction between aryl bromides and arylboronic acids in air using water as solvent. The coupling reaction proceeded smoothly under mild conditions to provide biaryls in excellent yields and Pd black was not observed. A novel, effective 1‐glycyl‐3‐methyl imidazolium chloride–palladium(II) complex ([Gmim]Cl–Pd(II)) was synthesized and studied as an organocatalyst for the Sonogashira coupling reaction under solvent‐free conditions at 25 °C. The hydrophobic group on amino acid favors reagent diffusion toward the chloroglycine moiety, increasing the catalytic activity of supported palladium complex. By this protocol, different aryl halides (Cl, Br and I) were reacted with phenylacetylene in good to excellent yields with turnover number 8.0 × 102 to 9.6 × 102. The catalyst was recycled for the reaction of bromobenzene with phenylacetylene for eight runs without appreciable loss of its catalytic activity and negligible metal leaching. Copper‐catalyzed Sonogashira‐type reactions were dramatically accelerated by introducing a catalytic amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon additive. This novel catalytic system features low copper loading (0.5 mol% < Cu < 5 mol%), broad reaction scope and remarkable substrate tolerance. Both aromatic and aliphatic terminal alkynes as well as diverse aryl iodides were employed in this transformation, affording respectable yields of the desired products. A range of sterically hindered diimine ligands and their palladium (II) complexes were synthesized. These compounds were fully characterized by elemental analysis, 1H and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy. The use of the palladium complexes as catalysts for Suzuki and Heck coupling has been studied in an attempt to demonstrate the effect of side groups on catalytic activity. It was clearly seen that the location of side ? CH3 groups which bound to benzene ring had little effect on catalytic activity. Interestingly when we changed these ? CH3 groups with ? Cl groups the activity of the complexes increased. On the other hand, side groups which bound to imine nitrogen also had a large effect on catalytic activity. Mn(bzimpy)2(1)[bzimpy=2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine],a mononuclear manganese(Ⅱ)complex,was synthesized by the reaction of Mn(OOCMe)2 with bzimpy in absolute ethanol.The complex was structurally characterized by elemental analysis,cyclic voltammetry,and X-ray crystallography.In the complex,the manganese-nitrogen distances were different,and the geometry and the metal ion environment showed the distortion.The cyclic voltammetric measurements have been performed to assess its redox characteristics.The presence of oxidation wave at 0.62V and 0.081V vs.SCE or 0.8V and 1.0v vs.NHE suggested that this complex could catalyze the oxidation of water,therefore,simulate the water-oxidizing complex(WOC) of photosystem Ⅱ (PS Ⅱ).The measurements of photoreduction of 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol (DCPIP),and oxygen evolution in the manganess-depleted and the comples 1-reconstituted PS Ⅱ preparations just support our conjecture.  相似文献

An efficient catalytic system using 1‐benzyl‐4‐aza‐1‐azoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane chloride and palladium chloride ((BeDABCO)2Pd2Cl6) was developed for the Sonogashira reaction. In the presence of a catalytic amount of this efficient, stable homogeneous catalytic system that is non‐sensitive to air and moisture, various aryl halides were efficiently coupled with phenylacetylene in good yields in H2O at 50°C under copper‐free conditions. Benzyl dabco as an efficient ligand and also a quaternary ammonium salt had an efficient stabilizing effect on the Pd(0) species. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A nano tetraimine Pd(0) complex catalyst was successfully used as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the phosphine‐free palladium‐catalysed Suzuki coupling reaction in water at 80 °C. This nano tetraimine Pd(0) complex was also used for copper‐free Sonogashira reaction in dimethylformamide at 100 °C. The catalyst was easily recovered from the reaction mixture by centrifugation and reused for at least six cycles without any significant loss in its catalytic activity. Analysis of the reaction mixture using inductively coupled plasma analysis showed that leaching of palladium from the catalyst was negligible. A variety of terminal arylacetylenes have been conveniently synthesized in good to high yields via Sonogashira coupling of aryl iodides with (trimethylsilyl)acetylene catalyzed by MCM-41-supported mercapto palladium(0) complex, followed by desilylation under mild conditions. A palladium‐based catalyst supported on acac‐functionalized silica was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the Sonogashira cross‐coupling reaction of various aryl halides and phenylacetylene under copper‐ and phosphine‐free conditions. This catalytic system serves as an efficient and stable catalyst for this cross‐coupling reaction and allows easy separation and recycling of the catalyst. The catalyst could be recycled for five runs without appreciable loss of its catalytic activity. In addition, the reaction was carried out in water as a green solvent. Palladium supported on silica–chitosan hybrid material was prepared and characterized using thermogravimetric and differential thermogravimetric analyses, scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared, energy‐dispersive X‐ray and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopies. The prepared Pd‐CS@SiO2 catalyst (1 mol%) was used for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction of various aryl halides and arylboronic acids in 95% ethanol at 80 °C and the Mizoroki–Heck reaction in dimethylformamide at 110 °C using K2CO3 as a base. The developed catalyst is well suitable for the 3R approach (recoverable, robust, recyclable) for cross‐coupling reactions without appreciable loss of its activity. (E)-α-Stannylvinyl phenyl(or p-tolyl)sulfones underwent an iododestannylation reaction to afford (E)-α-iodovinyl phenyl(or p-tolyl)sulfones 1, which reacted with (E)-alkenylzirconium(IV) complexes 2 produced in situ by hydrozirconation of terminal alkynes in the presence of a Pd(PPh3)4 catalyst to afford stereoselectively (1Z,3E)-2- phenyl(or p-tolyl)sulfonyl-substituted 1,3-dienes 3 in good yields.  相似文献

Palladium‐catalysed cross‐coupling reactions are some of the most frequently used synthetic tools for the construction of new carbon–carbon bonds in organic synthesis. In the work presented, Pd(II) complex catalysts were synthesized from palladium chloride and nitrogen donor ligands as the precursors. Infrared and 1H NMR spectroscopic analyses showed that the palladium complexes were formed in the bidentate mode to the palladium centre. The resultant Pd(II) complexes were tested as catalysts for the coupling of organobismuth(III) compounds with aryl and acid halides leading to excellent yields with high turnover frequency values. The catalysts were stable under the reaction conditions and no degradation was noticed even at 150°C for one of the catalysts. The reaction proceeds via an aryl palladium complex formed by transmetallation reaction between catalyst and Ar3Bi. The whole synthetic transformation has high atom economy as all three aryl groups attached to bismuth are efficiently transferred to the electrophilic partner.  相似文献

An interesting silica‐supported iron catalyst was successfully prepared and demonstrated as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for cross‐coupling reactions of aryl halides. The as‐prepared nanocatalyst was well characterized and found to be highly efficient in Heck reaction under mild and sustainable conditions (water as solvent at 80 °C in short reaction time). Furthermore, the obtained catalyst was used as an efficient, inexpensive and green heterogeneous catalyst for Sonogashira cross‐coupling reactions of various aryl iodides and provided the corresponding products with moderate to good yields. This phosphine, copper and palladium‐free catalyst was simply recovered from the reaction mixture and recycled five times without substantial decrease in its catalytic activity.  相似文献

A simple, air‐stable, inexpensive and easily prepared molecule, N‐methyliminodiacetic acid (MIDA), is reported as a ligand for palladium‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction of phenylboronic acid with aryl chlorides. The yield of the corresponding Suzuki coupling reaction is up to around 90% at both high temperature of 80°C and room temperature under ambient atmosphere.
