ADM-Padé technique is a combination of Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and Padé approximants. We solve two nonlinear lattice equations using the technique which gives the approximate solution with higher accuracy and faster convergence rate than using ADM alone. Bell-shaped solitary solution of Belov–Chaltikian (BC) lattice and kink-shaped solitary solution of the nonlinear self-dual network equations (SDNEs) are presented. Comparisons are made between approximate solutions and exact solutions to illustrate the validity and the great potential of the technique.  相似文献

Abstract

We study the long-time behavior of a linear inhomogeneous Boltzmann equation. The collision operator is modeled by a simple relaxation towards the Maxwellian distribution with zero mean and fixed lattice temperature. Particles are moving under the action of an external potential that confines particles, i.e., there exists a unique stationary probability density. Convergence rate towards global equilibrium is explicitly measured based on the entropy dissipation method and apriori time independent estimates on the solutions. We are able to prove that this convergence is faster than any algebraic time function, but we cannot achieve exponential convergence.  相似文献

The notion of relatively uniform convergence has been applied in the theory of vector lattices and in the theory of archimedean lattice ordered groups. Let G be an abelian lattice ordered group. In the present paper we introduce the notion of weak relatively uniform convergence (wru-convergence, for short) on G generated by a system M of regulators. If G is archimedean and M = G +, then this type of convergence coincides with the relative uniform convergence on G. The relation of wru-convergence to the o-convergence is examined. If G has the diagonal property, then the system of all convex -subgroups of G closed with respect to wru-limits is a complete Brouwerian lattice. The Cauchy completeness with respect to wru-convergence is dealt with. Further, there is established that the system of all wru-convergences on an abelian divisible lattice ordered group G is a complete Brouwerian lattice.  相似文献

Combining an asymptotic analysis of the lattice Boltzmann method with a stability estimate, we are able to prove some convergence results which establish a strict relation to the incompressible Navier–Stokes equation. The proof applies to the lattice Boltzmann method in the case of periodic domains and for specific bounded domains if the Dirichlet boundary condition is realized with the bounce back rule.  相似文献

The notion of almost everywhere convergence has been generalized to vector lattices as unbounded order convergence, which proves to be a very useful tool in the theory of vector and Banach lattices. In this short note, we establish some new results on unbounded order convergence that tie up some loose ends. In particular, we show that every norm bounded positive increasing net in an order continuous Banach lattice is uo-Cauchy and that every uo-Cauchy net in an order continuous Banach lattice has a uo-limit in the universal completion.  相似文献

Equations defining in linear approximation the wave motions in an arbitrarily stratified fluid are derived. Investigation of convergence of wave solutions with approximations ρn (z) of the mean density profile ρo (z) shows that uniform convergence of ρn (z) to ρo (z) is the sufficient condition of convergence of wave equation solutions. The convergence of solutions is uniform on sets of upper bound wave numbers and lower bound phase velocities of waves. Examples that show that when the continuous function ρo (z) is approximated by step-wide functions ρn (z) the convergence of solutions for internal waves is not uniform over the whole set of admissible wave numbers and phase velocities of waves.  相似文献

We consider a class of scalar functional differential equations generating a strongly order preserving semiflow with respect to the exponential ordering introduced by Smith and Thieme. It is shown that the boundedness of all solutions and the stability properties of an equilibrium are exactly the same as for the ordinary differential equation which is obtained by “ignoring the delays”. The result on the boundedness of the solutions, combined with a convergence theorem due to Smith and Thieme, leads to explicit necessary and sufficient conditions for the convergence of all solutions starting from a dense subset of initial data. Under stronger conditions, guaranteeing that the functional differential equation is asymptotically equivalent to a scalar ordinary differential equation, a similar result is proved for the convergence of all solutions.  相似文献

The lim-inf convergence in a complete lattice was introduced by Scott to characterize continuous lattices. Here we introduce and study the lim-inf convergence in a partially ordered set. The main result is that for a poset P the lim-inf convergence is topological if and only if P is a continuous poset. A weaker form of lim-inf convergence in posets is also discussed.  相似文献

We extend the notion of real-valued asymptotic martingales to the Banach lattice valued case. Unlike the other extensions, the notion of “orderamart” preserves the lattice property of real amarts. We show also, a Riesz decomposition, a weak and strong convergence theorem, a probabilistic characterization of A-L spaces from which we can prove that a Banach lattice with the shur property and a quasi-interior point in the dual is an l1(Γ).  相似文献

Sobriety is a subtle notion of completeness for topological spaces: A space is sober if it may be reconstructed from the lattice of its open subsets. The usual criterion to check sobriety involves either irreducible closed subsets or completely prime filters of open sets. This paper provides an alternative possibility, thus trying to make sobriety easier to understand. We define the notion of observative net, which, together with an appropriate convergence notion, characterizes sobriety. As the filter approach does not involve just usual (topological) convergence, this is not an instance of the classical net-filter translation in general topology.  相似文献

In this paper, we study an asymptotic behavior of a solution to the outflow problem for a two-phase model with magnetic field. Our idea mainly comes from [1] and [2] which investigate the asymptotic stability and convergence rates of stationary solutions to the outflow problem for an isentropic Navier–Stokes equation. For the two-phase model with magnetic field, we also obtain the asymptotic stability and convergence rates of global solutions towards corresponding stationary solutions if the initial perturbation belongs to the weighted Sobolev space. The main purpose of this paper is to give a vector lattice version of a Theorem by Burkholder about convergence of martingales. The proof is based on a vector lattice analogue of Austin’s sample function theorem, proved recently by Grobler, Labuschagne and Marraffa and on a new characterization of elements of the sup-completion of a universally complete vector lattice do not belong to the space.

The Kupershmidt five-field lattice is considered in this paper. By a dependent variable transformation, the Kupershmidt lattice is transformed into a bilinear form by the introduction of three auxiliary variables. We present a Bäcklund transformation and a nonlinear superposition formula for the Kupershmidt lattice. As an application of the results, soliton solutions are derived.  相似文献

In this paper we will investigate an isoperimetric type problem in lattices. If K is a bounded O-symmetric (centrally symmetric with respect to the origin) convex body in En of volume v(K) = 2n det L which does not contain non-zero lattice points in its interior, we say that K is extremal with respect to the given lattice L. There are two variations of the isoperimetric problem for this class of polyhedra. The first one is: Which bodies have minimal surface area in the class of extremal bodies for a fixed n-dimensional lattice? And the second one is: Which bodies have minimal surface area in the class of extremal bodies with volume 1 of dimension n? We characterize the solutions of these two problems in the plane. There is a consequence of these results, the solutions of the above problems in the plane give the solution of the lattice-like covering problem: Determine those centrally symmetric convex bodies whose translated copies (with respect to a fixed lattice L) cover the space and have minimal surface area.

The Keller-Segel system describes the collective motion of cells that are attracted by a chemical substance and are able to emit it. In its simplest form, it is a conservative drift-diffusion equation for the cell density coupled to an elliptic equation for the chemo-attractant concentration. This paper deals with the rate of convergence towards a unique stationary state in self-similar variables, which describes the intermediate asymptotics of the solutions in the original variables. Although it is known that solutions globally exist for any mass less 8π, a smaller mass condition is needed in our approach for proving an exponential rate of convergence in self-similar variables.  相似文献

In the present paper we deal with the relations between the relatively uniform convergence on X and the relatively uniform convergence on G. We also consider the relations between the o-convergence and the relatively uniform convergence on G. We develop a straightforward algorithm to price arithmetic average reset options with multiple reset dates in a Cox et al. (CRR) (1979) [10] framework. The use of a lattice approach is due to its adaptability and flexibility in managing arithmetic average reset options, as already evidenced by Kim et al. (2003) [9]. Their model is based on the Hull and White (1993) [5] bucketing algorithm and uses an exogenous exponential function to manage the averaging feature, but their choice of fictitious values does not guarantee the algorithm’s convergence (cfr., Forsyth et al. (2002) [11]). We propose to overcome this drawback by selecting a limited number of trajectories among the ones reaching each node of the lattice, where we compute effective averages. In this way, the computational cost of the pricing problem is reduced, and the convergence of the discrete time model to the corresponding continuous time one is guaranteed.  相似文献
