The object of our concern are some properties of the two-point functions in a model of dilatationally covariant field theory. We examine the one- and two-dimensional irreducible representations of the dilatation group. For the one-dimensional case we obtain either a massless free field theory or a theory of an interacting field which does not contribute on the mass shell μ=p2=0 and is characterized by a spectral function μr+?1. In the two-dimensional case both fields differ from the free field, their spectral functions ρij(μ) do not vanish identically and are products of two factors, a polynomial of order up to two in ln μ and μr+?-1. The differences between the case of internal symmetry and the case of dilatations are emphasized. The formula for the form factor in the Araki-Haag limit is given.  相似文献

The circular permeability μ′=μ′−″ of two Fe-based soft magnetic wires with axial and transverse domains, has been determined from the measurements of impedance Z=R+jX as functions of frequency (f=10-105 Hz) and AC current amplitude (I=0.1-100 mA). From the magnetic spectra of μ′−f and μ″−f for a few circular fields (Hφ=0.4, 1.2, 4, 12, 40 A/m), we found that the sample with axial domain structure exhibits a relaxational feature, while for the one with transverse domain resonance-like spectra were observed when the circular field Hφ≥4 A/m. These results have been discussed in terms of domain structure and circular magnetization processes.  相似文献

The behaviour of a weakly ionized plasma in external, arbitrarily time-dependent, electromagnetic fields is treated within the framework of kinetic theory. The Boltzmann kinetic equation is solved using the Lorentz ansatz, taking into account elastic collisions between electrons and neutral particles and assuming that the collision frequency is independent of the electron velocity. The drift velocity of electrons enters into the isotropic part f0 and into the direction-dependent part f1 of the electron distribution function. A method is given for the calculation of the drift velocity, which is calculated explicitly for the important but difficult case of a sinusoidal electric field in the presence of a magnetic switching field. f0 and f1 are calculated; f0 is investigated generally. f0 consists of an expansion in generalized Laguerre polynomials. The influence of the electromagnetic fields on the distribution function and its time variation is discussed and the relaxation behaviour is shown. The following two special cases are calculated explicitly: a linear rising electric field and a sinusoidal electric field, both in the presence of a constant magnetic field.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure of the 4f 13 6s 2 2 F 7/2 ground state of Tm169 has been studied with the atomic beam magnetic resonance method. By measuring strongly field-dependent transitions in external magnetic fields between 2200 and 3000 Gauss the interaction between the nuclear magnetic dipole momentμ I and the external field was determined. These measurements yielded a direct value forμ I independent of the electronic properties of the Tm-atom. The results are:μ I=? 0.2310 (15)μ n (diamagnetically corrected), magnetic dipole interaction constanta=? 374.137661(3) Mc/sec andg J(4f 13 6s 2 2 F 7/2)=1.141189 (3).  相似文献

The propagator and the complete sets of in-and out-solutions of the wave equation, together with the Bogoliubov coefficients relating these solutions are obtained for the vector W-boson (with the gyromagnetic ratio g=2) in a constant electromagnetic field. When only the electric field is present, the Bogoliubov coefficients are independent of the boson polarization and are the same as for the scalar boson. For the collinear electric and magnetic fields, the Bogoliubov coefficients for states with the boson spin perpendicular to the field are again the same as in the scalar case. For the W ? spin parallel (antiparallel) to the magnetic field, the Bogoliubov coefficients and the one-loop contributions to the imaginary part of the Lagrange function are obtained from the corresponding expressions for the scalar case by the substitution m 2m 2+2eH (m 2m 2-2eH). For the gyromagnetic ratio g=2, the vector boson interaction with the constant electromagnetic field is described by the functions that can be expected by comparing the scalar and Dirac particle wave functions in the constant electromagnetic field.  相似文献

The matrix elements of operators containing both heavy quark (Q) and light quark (q) fields can contain large logarithms of the type ln(mQ2/μ2), where μ is a typical QCD mass scale and mQ is the heavy quark mass. We outline a method for summing leading logarithms of this type. We apply it to the decay constant fM of a low lying pseudoscalar meson M with Q̄q flavor quantum numbers and predict the ratios of decay constants for mesons with different heavy flavors. We also apply it to a matrix element of a four-quark operator which is relevant for B0−B̄0 mixing.  相似文献

The dependence of magnetic moment and susceptibility on temperature, magnetic field and frequency of some single crystals Mn1?x Zn x F2 (xx e=0.75—percolation limit) were experimentally investigated. Our experiments show that (Bazhan and Petrov 1984; Cowleyet al 1984; Villain 1984) in these crystals the nonequilibrium magnetic state of spinglass type with finite correlation length appears as temperature decreasesT<T in weak magnetic fields. This state is determined by fluctuation magnetic moments √ (wheren is the number of magnetic ions, corresponding to finite correlation length andμ the magnetic moment Mn+1). In the experiments in low magnetic fields and frequencies there are no peculiarities in the magnetic susceptibility temperature dependence atTT f. At temperaturesT>T f andT<T f magnetic susceptibility is determined by 1 $$\chi \left( {T > T_f } \right) = \frac{{N\left\langle \mu \right\rangle ^2 }}{{3k\left( {T + \theta } \right)}} = \frac{N}{n}\frac{{\left\langle {\sqrt n \mu } \right\rangle ^2 }}{{3k\left( {T + \theta } \right)}} = \chi \left( {T< T_f } \right)$$ . In strong magnetic fields and large frequencies there are peculiarities in thex(T) dependence atT=T f. AtT<T f and strong magnetic fieldsX(T)=x 0 andT<T f and at large frequenciesx(T)=x 0+α/T. The dependences of magnetic susceptibility on the frequency are determined by the magnetic system relaxation. Calculations and comparison with experiments show that the relaxation of the investigated magnetic systems atT<T f follows the relaxation lawM(t)=M(0) exp[?(t/τ) r ], suggested in Palmeret al (1984) for spin-glasses relaxation taking into account the time relaxation distributionτ 0....τ max in the system and its ‘hierarchically’ dynamics.  相似文献

In extrinsic and intrinsic n-InSb the dependence of the resistivity on transverse magnetic fields is investigated. Four contributions are distinguished: the geometrical, the inhomogeneity, the mobility, and the ambipolar effect. The interactions of these effects are studied, not only from the resistivity, but also from the dependence of the electric field in the middle section of rectangular samples on the magnetic field. All theoretical derivations are verified by own experiments and compared to measurements reported in the literature. The interaction of the various magnetoresistance effects is here discussed for the first time, and new assertions on the physical magnetoresistivity, i.e. on the dependence of the carrier mobilities μ± on the transverse magnetic field B can be made. For electrons μ? = μ0?/(1 + γ?B) is found, where γ? is an empirical magnetoresistivity coefficient and μ0? the electron mobility with B = 0. Further, it is shown that theories presently existing on the physical magnetoresistivity are not able to explain these results.  相似文献

In order to analyze the topological properties of an arbitrary configuration of the electromagnetic field, its strength Fμν is expressed in terms of new auxiliary fields which replace the gauge potential Aμ. These new fields have only physical singularities even in the presence of monopoles (no Dirac strings) and exhibit a new local O(1, 1) symmetry which replaces the gauge invariance. Boundary conditions on these fields may induce localized string-like singularities or topological defects which act as sources of magnetic field. A typical defect which emerges is a sort of tadpole formed by a non-quantized monopole attached to one or more magnetic strings of finite length. For topological reasons the total magnetic charge is quantized.  相似文献

We study the light-front zero-mode contribution to the transition form factors (g, f, a ±, T i ) (i = 1, 2, 3) for the exclusive semileptonic PV ? and rare PV ? +?? decays using a covariant fermion field theory model in (3+1) dimensions. While the zero-mode contribution in principle depends on the form of the vector meson vertex Γ μ  = γ μ ? (2k ? P V ) μ /D, the six form factors (g, f, a +, T 1, T 2, T 3) are found to be free from the zero mode if the denominator D contains the term proportional to the light-front longitudinal momentum fraction factor (1/x) n of the struck quark with the power n > 0. Although the form factor a ? is not free from the zero mode, the zero-mode contribution comes only either from the simple vertex Γ μ  = γ μ term or from the other term just with a constant D (i.e. n = 0). We identify the zero-mode operator that is convoluted with the initial- and final-state valence wave functions to generate the zero-mode contribution to a ?.  相似文献

Fission fragments from the reaction237Np(μ ?,γ,f) have been measured in coincidence with muonic X-rays. The efficiency of the fission fragment detector is determined from (μ ?,γ,f)-data of the same experiment. The total fission probability perμ-stopP t has been measured as well as the fission probabilities Pf of the non-radiative muonic (3d→1s)- and (2p→1s)-transitions; the latter has been divided into two parts leading to different mean excitation energiesE:P t =(54±17)%,P f (3d→1s)=(41±21)%,P f (2p→1s,E=6.218 MeV)=(61±19)%, andP f (2p→1s,E=6.525 MeV)=(57±18)%. The influence of the muon on the fission barrier is discussed. The fission probability after muon capture is compared with a calculated value using a distribution of nuclear excitation energies following muon capture and the fission probability as measured in a238U(3He,αf)-reaction.  相似文献

The magnetization of native horse spleen ferritin protein is measured in pulsed magnetic fields to 55 T at T=1.52 K. The magnetization rises smoothly with negative curvature due to uncompensated Fe3+ spins and with a large high field slope due to the underlying antiferromagnetic ferritin core. Even at highest fields the magnetic moment is only ∼4% of the saturation moment of the full complement of Fe3+ in the ferritin molecule. The AC magnetic susceptibility, χAC(T,f), responding to the uncompensated spins, reaches a maximum near the superparamagnetic blocking temperature with the temperature of the maximum, TM, varying with excitation frequency, TM−1 α log f for 10?f?104 Hz.  相似文献

This paper introduces analytical expressions of optical caustics r1 and r2 in micro-resonators (respectively called inner and outer caustics in micro-optics) in terms of radial and azimutal modal numbers n and l mutually. Such a theoretical study focuses on spherical micro-resonators and is carried out according to two complementary ways: Electromagnetic (E.M) approaches based respectively on an eigenvector problem resolution called modal field in integrated optics and an analogy with Quantum Mechanics (Q.M) using the notions of potential and geometric eikonal principle. Thus, using quantization and phase considerations, fundamental new formulation of caustics, that depend on the two previous quantum modal numbers simultaneously, have been shaped and confronted with numerical and graphical simulations. Both ways lead to results in good agreement (correlation coefficient superior to 0.99) and allow us to specify the evolution of such caustics according to each modal number of the quantification; such an analytical caustics formulation involves a specific function f whose study is expanded for various values of n ranging from 1 to 500. Moreover a whole study of asymptotic behaviors of f-function and its inverse f? 1 on specific n and l values, directly related to the previous caustics expressions, is conducted, allowing the expansion of new analytical expressions of caustics in various limit cases and asymptotic behaviors. Then, the evolution of the positions of caustics in terms of modal numbers is interpreted, and the physical meanings of optical properties such as quasi-resonance, position and confinement of field with resonance, and associated electromagnetic fields are discussed.  相似文献

An optical study of a Y0.99Pr0.01PO4 single crystal is presented. Measurements of optical absorption, excitation, and emission by selective excitation into 1D2, 3P0 and 3P1, at different temperatures between 20 and 295 K, are described. A detailed account of the line assignments is given for absorption in the 4300-23 000 cm−1 spectral range, and for emission in the 6400-23 000 cm−1 range. The lifetimes of the emitting levels are determined. Vibronic sidebands accompanying absorption, emission and excitation spectra are reported. The decay processes of the 3P1, 3P0 and 1D2 levels are discussed. The aim of this study is a test of the configuration-interaction-assisted crystal field analysis as well as the accurate experimental determination of the energy level scheme. It was reported previously that the introduction of configuration interaction between the ground 4f2 configuration with the excited 4f6p configuration always resulted in a decrease (≈50-60%) in the standard deviations between the observed and calculated energy levels. In the present work the 4f5d configuration is included as well. The crystal field is analysed in the theoretical D2d site symmetry with and without configuration interaction. The results with 4f2, 4f2+4f5d, 4f2+4f6p and 4f2+4f5d+4f6p are given. The calculation on the basis of the 315 (4f2+4f5d+4f6p) levels gives the best overall standard deviation lowering it by 75% with regard to the calculation on the 91 4f2 levels only.  相似文献

Particlelike static spherically symmetric solutions to massless scalar and electromagnetic field equations combined with gravitational field equations are considered. Two criteria for particlelike solutions are formulated: the strong one (solutions are required to be singularity free) and the weak one (singularities are admitted but the total energy and material field energy should be finite). Exact solutions for the following physical systems are considered with their own gravitational field: (i) linear scalar (minimally coupled or conformal) plus electromagnetic field; (ii) the same fields with a bare mass source in the form of charged incoherent matter distributions; (iii) nonlinear electromagnetic field with an arbitrary dependence on the invariant FαβFαβ; and (iv) directly interacting scalar and electromagnetic fields. Case (i) solutions are not particlelike (except those with horizons, in which static regions formally satisfy the weak criterion). For systems (ii), examples of nonsingular models are constructed, in particular, a model for a particle-antiparticle pair of a Wheeler-handle type, without scalar field and explicit electric charges. Besides, a number of limitations upon nonsingular model parameters is indicated. Systems (iii) are proved to violate the strong criterion for any type of nonlinearity but can satisfy the weak criterion (e.g., the Born-Infeld nonlinearity). For systems (iv) some particlelike solutions by the weak criterion are constructed and a regularizing role of gravitation is demonstrated. Finally, an example of a field system satisfying the strong criterion is given.  相似文献

Polarization spectra of optical absorption of the 4f-4f transition 6 H 15/26 F 3/2 in the rare-earth orthoaluminate DyAlO3 are theoretically and experimentally studied at the temperature T=78 K. It is shown that the nontrivial character of the anisotropy of the polarization absorption spectra at low temperatures can be explained by the J-J mixing of excited multiplets of the 4f 9 configuration of Dy3+ ions in a low-symmetry crystal field of the orthoaluminate structure. The energy and wave functions of the Stark sublevels within the excited 6 F 5/2 multiplet in the 4f 9 configuration of the Dy3+ rare-earth ion in the crystal field of C s symmetry are numerically calculated.  相似文献

We report AC susceptibility measurements on bulk La0.55Ca0.45MnO3 as functions of temperature, DC field and frequency ( f<1500 Hz). Both the in-phase (χ′) and out-of-phase (χ″) parts of the response are studied. It is observed that the in-phase part goes through a maximum that is removed on the application of moderate DC fields. The temperature and field dependence of χ″ are consistent with the picture of an inhomogeneous transition proceeding through a growth of clusters. DC fields suppress both the components with the strongest effects being at or close to Tc. The out of phase response is completely suppressed by fields of the order of a few hundred Gauss. The effect of the DC field is discussed in terms of the suppression of spin fluctuations close to Tc, and to the changes in coercivity for lower temperatures.  相似文献

LetG be a compact group of transformation (global symmetry group) of a manifoldE (multidimensional universe) with all orbits of the same type (one stratum). We studyG invariant metrics onE and show that there is one-to-one correspondence between those metrics and triples (g μv,A μ ä ,h αβ), whereg μv is a (pseudo-) Riemannian metric on the space of orbits (space-time),A μ ä is a Yang-Mills field for the gauge groupN|H, whereN is the normalizer of the isotropy groupH inG, andh αβ are certain scalar fields characterizing geometry of the orbits (internal spaces). The scalar curvature ofE is expressed in terms of the component fields onM. Examples and model building recipes are also given. The results generalize those of non-abelian Kaluza-Klein theories to the case where internal spaces are not necessarily group manifolds.  相似文献

Information on the low-lying levels up to ~1.9 MeV excitation of the doubly odd nucleus50V has been obtained through the Ge (Li)-Ge (Li) coincidence study with the50Ti(p, nγ)50V reaction. Branching ratios have been measured and tentative spin-parity assignments have been made. A detailed comparison with other measurements reported recently has also been made. Using the lowest seniority wave functions with (f7/2) p 3 (f 7/2) n ?1 configuration, energy levels and electromagnetic properties have been calculated. These have been compared with the present and earlier experimental data.  相似文献
