We theoretically study the spin-dependent transport properties of anAharonov-Bohm (AB) interferometer composed by a T-shaped quantum dot (QD)embedded in Majorana bound states (MBS). We use the equation of motion method tocalculate the conductance across the interferometer. We note that the conductance exhibitssensitive dependence on the MBS-QD coupling strength as well as the polarization strengthof the leads when the phase factor of AB ring changes periodically. The conductance shows a transitionfrom resonance to anti-resonance when the MBS-QD coupling strength changes from small to large. Also, there is different p-dependence conductance when the leads alignment changesfrom parallel to anti-parallel. These findings suggest that such a model could be used for a sensitivedetection of MBS interactions, exploiting the high sensitivity of conductance to the AB phase in theinterferometer.  相似文献

By using the partial transpose and realignment method, we study the time evolution of the bound entanglement under the bilinear-biquadratie Hamiltonian. For the initial Horodecki's bound entangled state, it keeps bound entangled for some time, while for the initial bound entangled states constructed from the unextendable product basis, they become free once the time evolution begins. The time evolution provides a new way to construct bound entangled states, and also gives a method to free bound entanglement.  相似文献

We consider a nonrelativistic quantum particle constrained to a curved layer of constant width built over a non-compact surface embedded in ℝ3. We suppose that the latter is endowed with the geodesic polar coordinates and that the layer has the hard-wall boundary. Under the assumption that the surface curvatures vanish at infinity we find sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence of geometrically induced bound states. A quantum ring coupled to a 1D topological superconductor hosting Majorana bound states (MBSs) is investigated. The MBSs effects over the spectrum and persistent current along the quantum ring are studied. The spectra of the system are obtained by an exact numerical diagonalization of the Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian in the Majorana representation. In addition, Green's function formalism is implemented for analytical calculations and obtained a switching condition in the MBSs fermionic parity. Three different patterns that could be obtained for the spatial separation of the MBSs, named: bowtie, diamond, and asymmetric, are reported here, which are present only in odd parity in the quantum ring, while only a single pattern (bowtie) is obtained for even parity. Those patterns are subject strictly to the switching condition for the MBSs. Besides, quantum ring with the presence of a Majorana zero mode presents gapped/gapless spectra in odd/even parity showing in the even case a subtle signature in the persistent current.  相似文献

In this paper,the existence of bound state solution to Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations under the JBD Straight Cosmic String background is investigated.We prove the existence of such bound states,and point out that the number of which might be infinite.The location and spectrum of bound states of lower energy are calculated.The nearest bound state to string of meson is located within the region 10-13cm.For electron,the nearest one is located at 10-7cm,with orbit velocity 10-4c.The discoverv of quantum bound states mentioned might provide a new mechanism for the observation of the cosmic string.  相似文献

We are interested in a quantum mechanical system on a triply punctured two-sphere surface with hyperbolicmetric.The bound states on this system are described by the Maass cusp forms(MCFs) which are smooth square integrable eigenfunctions of the hyperbolic Laplacian.Their discrete eigenvalues and the MCF are not known analytically.We solve numerically using a modified Hejhal and Then algorithm,which is suitable to compute eigenvalues for a surface with more than one cusp.We report on the computational results of some lower-lying eigenvalues for the triply punctured surface as well as providing plots of the MCF using GridMathematica.  相似文献

The basic methods that have been used for describing bound-state quantum electrodynamics are described and critically discussed. These include the external field approximation, the quasi-potential approaches, the effective potential approach, the Bethe–Salpeter method, and the three-dimensional equations of Lepage and other workers. Other methods less frequently used but of some intrinsic interest such as applications of the Duffin–Kemmer equation are also described. A comparison of the strengths and shortcomings of these various approaches is included.  相似文献

We consider QED processes in the presence of an infinitely thin and infinitely long straight string with a magnetic flux inside it. The bremsstrahlung from an electron passing by the magnetic string and the electron-positron pair production by a single photon are reviewed. Based on the exact electron and positron solutions of the Dirac equation in the external Aharonov-Bohm potential we present matrix elements for these processes. The dependence of the resulting cross sections on energies, directions, and polarizations of the involved particles is discussed for low energies.  相似文献

This work presents the results of a quantitative investigation of the “sum rule method” recently proposed by the author for calculating low-lying energy levels. The system considered in detail is the circular Aharonov-Bohm quantum billiard recently introduced by Berry and Robnik. Exact, expressions are derived for the spectral zeta function at positiveinteger values as a function of the magnetic flux. Using the zeta function for fixed angular momentum, we observe a very fast convergence to the exact ground state energy (“precocious convergence”).  相似文献

We study the electron transport through a special quantum-dot(QD)structure composed of three QDs and two Majorana bound states(MBSs)using the nonequilibrium Green’s function technique.This QD-MBS ring structure includes two channels with the two coupled MBSs being Channel 1 and one QD being Channel 2,and three types of transport processes such as the electron transmission(ET),the Andreev reflection(AR),and the crossed Andreev reflection(CAR).By comparing the ET,AR,and CAR processes through Channels 1 and 2,we make a systematic study on the transport properties of the QD-MBS ring.It is shown that there appear two kinds of characteristic transport patterns for Channels 1 and 2,as well as the interplay between the two patterns.Of particular interest is that there exists an AR-assisted ET process in Channel 2,which is different from that in Channel 1.Thus a clear"X"pattern due to the ET and AR processes appears in the ET,AR,and CAR transmission coefficients.Moreover,we study how Channel 2 affects the three transport processes when Channel 1 is tuned in the ET and CAR regimes.It is shown that the transport properties of the ET,AR and CAR processes can be adjusted by tuning the energy level of the QD embedded in Channel 2.We believe this research should be a helpful reference for understanding the transport properties in the QD-MBS coupled systems.  相似文献

Using the formalism of the effective Hamiltonian, we consider bound states in a continuum (BIC). They are nonhermitian effective Hamiltonian eigenstates that have real eigenvalues. It is shown that BICs are orthogonal to open channels of the leads, i.e., disconnected from the continuum. As a result, BICs can be superposed to a transport solution with an arbitrary coefficient and exist in a propagation band. The one-dimensional Aharonov-Bohm rings that are opened by attaching single-channel leads to them allow exact consideration of BICs. BICs occur at discrete values of the energy and magnetic flux; however, it’s realization strongly depends on the way to the BIC point. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Consider a system prepared in one of the quantum states of the ensemble {ρ i } with a priori probability p i . We prove that the quantum state can be deterministically distinguished if and only if the information gain from the measurement reaches the Holevo bound. We find it can be applied to distinguish spatially separated Bell states. A single copy of spatially separated Bell state cannot be distinguished under local operation and classical communication (LOCC), but it can be identified with an ancillary qubit. When two ancillary qubits are used, a spatially separated Bell state can be identified without demolition.  相似文献

The impact of bound states in Landauer‐Büttiker scattering approach to non‐equilibrium quantum transport is investigated. We show that the noise power at frequency ν is sensitive to all bound states with energies ωb satisfying . We derive the exact expression of the bound state contribution and compare it to the one produced by the scattering states alone.
