Let μ and μ1 be probability measures on a locally convex Hausdorff real topological linear space E. C. R. Baker (Lecture Notes in Mathematics No. 109, pp. 33–44, Springer-Verlag, Berlin/New York, 1979) posed the problem of characterizing the absolute continuity of μ and μ1 by their characteristic functionals. The aim of this paper is to give an answer to this problem in the case where μ is a Gaussian Radon measure. A Fourier transform shall be defined, the inversion formula established, and then a necessary and sufficient condition given for μ1 to be absolutely continuous with respect to μ based on the characteristic functional. As applications, for the convolution μ1 = μ1v, where v is a Radon measure on E, we shall give some concrete sufficient conditions on v for μ1v ? μ.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to discuss those kinds of statistical convergence,in terms of filter F,or ideal L-convergence,which are equivalent to measure convergence defined by a single statistical measure.We prove a number of characterizations of a single statistical measure μ-convergence by using properties of its corresponding quotient Banach space l_∞/l_∞(I_μ).We also show that the usual sequential convergence is not equivalent to a single measure convergence.  相似文献

We show a picture of the relations among different types of summability of series in the space  of integrable functions with respect to a vector measure m of relatively norm compact range. In order to do that, we study the class of the so‐called m‐1‐summing operators. Summary Precise conditions are obtained for the packing measure of an arbitrary subordinator to be zero, positive and finite, or infinite. It develops that the packing measure problem for a subordinatorX(t) is equivalent to the upper local growth problem forY(t)=min (Y 1 (t), Y 2 (t)), whereY 1 andY 2 are independent copies ofX. Encroaching lists are a generalization of monotone sequences in permutations. Since ordered permutations contain fewer encroaching lists than random ones, the number of such listsm provides a measure of presortedness with advantages over others in the literature. Experimental and analytic results are presented to cast light on the properties of encroaching lists. Also, we describe a new sorting algorithm,melsort, with complexityO(nlogm). Thus it is linear for well ordered sets and reduces to mergesort andO(nlogn) in the worst case.This work was partially supported by National Science Foundation Grant CCSR-8714565.  相似文献

We analyze all orthonormal bases of exponentials on the Cantor set defined by Jorgensen and Pedersen in J. Anal. Math. 75 (1998) 185-228. A complete characterization for all maximal sets of orthogonal exponentials is obtained by establishing a one-to-one correspondence with the spectral labelings of the infinite binary tree. With the help of this characterization we obtain a sufficient condition for a spectral labeling to generate a spectrum (an orthonormal basis). This result not only provides us an easy and efficient way to construct various of new spectra for the Cantor measure but also extends many previous results in the literature. In fact, most known examples of orthonormal bases of exponentials correspond to spectral labelings satisfying this sufficient condition. We also obtain two new conditions for a labeling tree to generate a spectrum when other digits (digits not necessarily in {0,1,2,3}) are used in the base 4 expansion of integers and when bad branches are allowed in the spectral labeling. These new conditions yield new examples of spectra and in particular lead to a surprizing example which shows that a maximal set of orthogonal exponentials is not necessarily an orthonormal basis.  相似文献
