To certain nonlinear evolution equations, the tanh method has been generalized for constructing not only solitary-wave but also soliton-like solutions. In this paper, no loss of conciseness, we further extend the generalized tanh method with computerized symbolic computation to a pair of generalized Hamiltonian equations. A new family of soliton-like analytical solutions is obtained, of which the solitary waves and previously-claimed soliton-like solutions are shown to be the special cases.  相似文献

In this paper, an generalized Jacobi elliptic functions expansion method with computerized symbolic computation is used for constructing more new exact Jacobi elliptic functions solutions of the generalized coupled Hirota-Satsuma KdV system. As a result, eight families of new doubly periodic solutions are obtained by using this method, some of these solutions are degenerated to solitary wave solutions and triangular functions solutions in the limit cases when the modulus of the Jacobi elliptic functions m → 1 or 0, which shows that the applied method is more powerful and will be used in further works to establish more entirely new solutions for other kinds of nonlinear partial differential equations arising in mathematical physics.  相似文献

A hierarchy of the inverse KdV equation is discussed. Through the bilinear form of Lax pairs, we prove a generalized Darboux-Crum theorem of the hierarchy. The Bäcklund transformation and the generalized Wronskian solutions are presented. The soliton solutions, explicit rational solutions are obtained then.  相似文献

Alternating offers bargaining has been extensively used to model two-sided negotiations. The celebrated model of Rubinstein [Econometrica 50(1):97–109, 1982] has provided a formal justification for equitable payoff division. A typical assumption of these models under risk is that the termination event means a complete and irrevocable breakdown in negotiations. In this paper, the meaning of termination is reinterpreted as the imposition to finish negotiations immediately. Specifically, bargaining terminates when the last offer becomes definitive. While Rubinstein’s model predicts an immediate agreement with stationary strategies, we show that the same payoff allocation is attainable under non-stationary strategies. Moreover, the payoffs in delayed equilibria are potentially better for the proposer than those in which agreement is immediately reached.  相似文献

The bounded traveling wave solutions of a generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation with $p=2$ and $p=3$ are derived via the dynamical system approach. The singular wave solutions including peakons and cuspons are obtained by the bifurcation analysis of the corresponding singular dynamical system and the orbits intersecting with or approaching the singular lines. The results show that the generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation with $p=2$ and $p=3$ both admit smooth solitary wave, smooth periodic wave solutions, solitary peakons, periodic peakons, solitary cuspons and periodic cuspons as well. It is worth pointing out that the Novikov equation has no bounded traveling wave solutions with negative wave speed, but has a family of new periodic cuspons which are distinguished with the normal periodic cuspons for their discontinuous first-order derivatives at both maximum and minimum.  相似文献

In the present work, the connection of the generalized Fisher-KPP equation to physical and biological fields is noted. Radially symmetric solutions to the generalized Fisher-KPP equation are considered, and analytical results for the positivity and asymptotic stability of solutions to the corresponding time-independent elliptic differential equation are quoted. An energy analysis of the generalized theory is carried out with further physical applications in mind, and a numerical method that consistently approximates the energy of the system and its rate of change is presented. The method is thoroughly tested against analytical and numerical results on the classical Fisher-KPP equation, the Heaviside equation, and the generalized Fisher-KPP equation with logistic nonlinearity and Heaviside initial profile, obtaining as a result that our method is highly stable and accurate, even in the presence of discontinuities. As an application, we establish numerically that, under the presence of suitable initial conditions, there exists a threshold for the relaxation time with the property that solutions to the problems considered are nonnegative if and only if the relaxation time is below a critical value. An analytical prediction is provided for the Heaviside equation, against which we verify the validity of our computational code, and numerical approximations are provided for several generalized Fisher-KPP problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we study solution structures of the following generalized Lennard-Jones system in R~n,x=(-α/|x|~(α+2)+β/|x|~(β+2))x,with 0 α β. Considering periodic solutions with zero angular momentum, we prove that the corresponding problem degenerates to 1-dimensional and possesses infinitely many periodic solutions which must be oscillating line solutions or constant solutions. Considering solutions with non-zero angular momentum, we compute Morse indices of the circular solutions first, and then apply the mountain pass theorem to show the existence of non-circular solutions with non-zero topological degrees. We further prove that besides circular solutions the system possesses in fact countably many periodic solutions with arbitrarily large topological degree, infinitely many quasi-periodic solutions, and infinitely many asymptotic solutions.  相似文献

This paper reports one of a series of experiments designed to test aspects of various game-theoretic models of bargaining. The results of this experiment consolidate those of previous experiments, which are first reviewed. The principal new result of this experiment is the observation, under conditions of partial information, of systematic violations of the axiom of independence of equivalent utility representations. In this letter we show how more cases of the generalized nonlinear diffusion equation that contain separable solutions to those found by Zhang et al. (2002, 2003) via the generalized conditional symmetries method, can be found. In this paper, the traveling wave solutions for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation $u_t-u_{xxt}=\frac{1}{2}(p+1)(p+2)u^pu_x-\frac{1}{2}p(p-1)u^{p-2}u_x^3-2pu^{p-1}u_xu_{xx}-u^pu_{xxx}$ are investigated. By using the bifurcation method of dynamical systems, three major results for this equation are highlighted. First, there are one or two singular straight lines in the two-dimensional system under some different conditions. Second, all the bifurcations of the generalized Camassa-Holm equation are given for $p$ either positive or negative integer. Third, we prove that the corresponding traveling wave system of this equation possesses peakon, smooth solitary wave solution, kink and anti-kink wave solution, and periodic wave solutions.  相似文献
