研究了球形粒子在聚焦拉盖尔-高斯光束中的散射特性. 根据广义Mie理论, 推导出球形粒子在聚焦拉盖尔-高斯光束中散射系数的解析公式. 针对光束的电场分布及粒子散射强度进行了数值仿真, 讨论了散射强度随散射角、散射球粒子半径和拓扑荷的变化特性, 并通过散射系数解释了散射强度分布的振荡现象. 结果表明, 在聚焦拉盖尔-高斯光束照射下, 球形粒子的后向散射强度随着粒子半径的增大而逐渐增大; 后向散射强度开始增大时对应的粒子半径与拓扑荷有关. 通过与高斯光束的对比, 可以看出球形粒子在聚焦拉盖尔-高斯光束中散射特性的差异, 使其在粒径测量、光通信和大气后向散射探测等方面具有潜在应用价值.  相似文献

Owing to the good adjustability and the strong near-field enhancement, surface plasmons are widely used in optical force trap, thus the optical force trap can achieve excellent performance. Here, we use the Laguerre-Gaussian beam and a plasmonic gold ring to separate enantiomers by the chiral optical force. Along with the radial optical force that traps the particles, there is also a chirality-sign-sensitive lateral force arising from the optical spin angular momentum, which is caused by the interaction between optical orbit angular momentum and gold ring structure. By selecting a specific incident wavelength, the strong angular scattering and non-chiral related azimuthal optical force can be suppressed. Thus the chiral related azimuthal optical force can induce an opposite orbital rotation of the trapped particles with chirality of different sign near the gold ring. This work proposes an effective approach for catchingand separating chiral enantiomers.  相似文献

We calculate the radiation force that is exerted by a focused continuous-wave Gaussian beam of wavelength λ on a non-absorbing nonlinear particle of radius a ? 50λ/π. The refractive index of the mechanically-rigid particle is proportional to the incident intensity according to the electro-optic Kerr effect. The force consists of two components representing the contributions of the electromagnetic field gradient and the light scattered by the Kerr particle. The focused intensity distribution is determined using expressions for the six electromagnetic components that are corrected to the fifth order in the numerical aperture (NA) of the focusing objective lens. We found that for particles with a < λ/21.28, the trapping force is dominated by the gradient force and the axial trapping force is symmetric about the geometrical focus. The two contributions are comparable with larger particles and the axial trapping force becomes asymmetric with its zero location displaced away from the focus and towards the beam propagation direction. We study the trapping force behavior versus incident beam power, NA, λ, and relative refractive index between the surrounding liquid and the particle. We also examine the confinement of a Kerr particle that exhibits Brownian motion in a focused beam. Numerical results show that the Kerr effect increases the trapping force strength and significantly improves the confinement of Brownian particles.  相似文献

A focused partially coherent flattened vortex beam used to trap a Rayleigh dielectric spherical particle with relative refractive index p < 1 is studied. The dependence of radiation forces (RFs) on the beam order N, waist width w0, correlation length σ0, particle radius a and focal length f is analyzed and illustrated by numerical examples. By a suitable choice of N, w0, σ0 and f a stable trap of the Rayleigh particle is achievable. In particular, there exist critical values w0,c, σ0,c for a partially coherent flattened vortex beam the particle can be trapped by the beam with w0 less than w0,c and σ0 larger than σ0,c. 针对一定声场作用下自由空间中的球形粒子,首先分析了声散射过程中的吸收声功率、散射声功率和损失声功率以及三者之间的关系,并通过计算发现了由于参数选取不当导致的负吸收现象。接着从动量守恒定律出发推导了声辐射力的一般表达式,阐释了声辐射力与声能流之间的关系,并从理论和计算两方面验证了负向声辐射力的存在。当负向声辐射力产生时,声波的背向散射被抑制。在此基础上,进一步研究了粒子的偏心特性和流体的黏度这两种常见因素对负向声辐射力的影响。利用球函数的加法公式推导了偏心球的散射系数和声辐射力公式,结果显示偏心距离、粒子的材料等都会显著改变负向声辐射力的产生条件。在低频近似下,由于流体黏度附加的正向声辐射力是否能完全抵消原来的负向声辐射力将决定最终的声辐射力方向。该结果对利用负向声辐射力制成单行波声学镊子来实现对特定粒子的操控有着理论指导意义。  相似文献

Shell structures have increasingly widespread applications in biomedical ultrasound fields such as contrast agents and drug delivery,which requires the precise prediction of the acoustic radiation force under various circumstances to improve the system efficiency.The acoustic radiation force exerted by a zero-order quasi-Bessel-Gauss beam on an elastic spherical shell near an impedance boundary is theoretically and numerically studied in this study.By means of the finite series method and the image theory,a zero-order quasi-Bessel-Gauss beam is expanded in terms of spherical harmonic functions,and the exact solution of the acoustic radiation force is derived based on the acoustic scattering theory.The acoustic radiation force function,which represents the radiation force per unit energy density and per unit cross-sectional surface,is especially investigated.Some simulated results for a polymethyl methacrylate shell and an aluminum shell are provided to illustrate the behavior of acoustic radiation force in this case.The simulated results show the oscillatory property and the negative radiation force caused by the impedance boundary.An appropriate relative thickness of the shell can generate sharp peaks for a polymethyl methacrylate shell.Strong radiation force can be obtained at small half-cone angles and the beam waist only affects the results at high frequencies.Considering that the quasi-Bessel-Gauss beam possesses both the energy focusing property and the non-diffracting advantage,this study is expected to be useful in the development of acoustic tweezers,contrast agent micro-shells,and drug delivery applications.  相似文献

By using a tightly focused laser beam, we have studied light propagation in two-dimensional photonic crystals consisting of closed-packed hexagonal arrays of polystyrene particles with diameter of 1∼5 μm. The light propagation is found to depend strongly on the focal point positioning, the incident beam polarization and the interaction between particles and glass substrates.  相似文献

Acoustic manipulation is one of the well-known technologies of particle control and a top research in acoustic field. Calculation of acoustic radiation force on a particle nearby boundaries is one of the critical tasks, as it approximates realistic applications. Nevertheless, it is quite difficult to solve the problem by theoretical method when the boundary conditions are intricate. In this study, we present a finite element method numerical model for the acoustic radiation force exerting on a rigid cylindrical particle immersed in fluid near a rigid corner. The effects of the boundaries on acoustic radiation force of a rigid cylinder are analyzed with particular emphasis on the non-dimensional frequency and the distance from the center of cylinder to each boundary. The results reveal that these parameters play important roles in acoustic manipulation for particle-nearby complicated rigid boundaries. This study verifies the feasibility of numerical analysis on the issue of acoustic radiation force calculation close to complex boundaries, which may provide a new idea on analyzing the acoustic particle manipulation in confined space.  相似文献

The optical torque and the trapping position (focal point) in optical tweezers are analyzed for upward-directed focused laser illumination using a ray optics model, considering that laser light is incident at not only the lower surface but also the side surface of a 3-wing rotor. The viscous drag force due to the pressure and the shearing stress on all surfaces of the rotor is evaluated using computational fluid dynamics. The rotation rate is simulated in water by balancing the optical torque with the drag force, resulting in 500 rpm for an SU-8 rotor with 20 μm diameter at a laser power of 200 mW. The trapping position is estimated to be 7.6 μm in the rotor with an upward-directed laser at 200 mW via an objective lens having a numerical aperture of 1.4. Both the rotation rate and the trapping position agree well with the values obtained in the experiment.  相似文献

Optical tweezers with a low numerical aperture microscope objective is used to manipulate the microspheres at the water-air interface. In this letter, we determine the optimal optical trap for the lateral manipulation of microspheres at a water-air interface. The experimental results show that the trapping force is influenced by the expansion of the trapping beam at the back aperture of the objective. The optimal filling ratio of 0.65 is suggested for lateral optical manipulation at the water-air interface. The lateral trapping forces at the water-air interface are theoretically investigated with the ray-optics model. The numerical results show that the lateral trapping forces can be changed by shrinking the diameter of the trapping laser beam. The numerical results are in accordance with the experimental results.  相似文献

The radiation forces on a Rayleigh dielectric sphere induced by a focused partially coherent elegant Laguerre-Gaussian (ELG) beam are investigated by using the Rayleigh scattering theory. It is found that a focused partially coherent ELG beam with suitable mode orders can be used to trap a Rayleigh particle whose refractive index is larger or smaller than that of the ambient by varying its initial spatial coherence width. Therefore, one can use one optical-trap system to trap two types of particles with different refractive indices.  相似文献

A mathematically accurate and numerically efficient method of analysis of a spherical reflector, fed by a scalar beam produced by a complex source-point feed, is presented. Two cases, soft and hard reflector surface, are considered. In each case the solution of the full-wave integral equation is reduced to dual series equations and then further to a regularized infinite-matrix equation. The latter procedure is based on the analytical inversion of the static part of the problem. Sample numerical results for 50-lambda reflectors demonstrate features that escape a high-frequency asymptotic analysis.  相似文献

The properties of the focal spot for 4pi focusing with radially polarized first-order Laguerre-Gaussian beams are calculated. It is shown that a focal spot that has an extremely sharp dark region at the center and an almost-perfect spherical symmetry can be achieved. When such a hollow dark spherical spot is used in 4pi fluorescence depletion microscopy, an axial FWHM spot size of approximately 39 nm and a transverse FWHM spot size of approximately 64 nm can be achieved simultaneously in a practical system.  相似文献

The radiation force generated upon the scattering of a quasi-Gaussian acoustic beam on a homo-geneous elastic sphere in a fluid is investigated. It is shown that the force depends nonmonotonically on the ratio between the sphere’s diameter and the beam’s waist. For a given beam power, the radiation force has its maximum value when the diameters are roughly egual to each other. This is due to the resonant excitation of shear waves on the sphere’s surface under the impact of acoustic wave in the surrounding fluid.  相似文献

Based on the Richards–Wolf vector diffraction theory, the intensity distributions in the recording sample near a solid immersion lens are calculated for two different radially-polarized beams ( and modes). Numerical results show that a double-ring-shaped mode focusing has some excellent features in near-field optical storage, compared with a single-ring-shaped mode focusing. The recording density is markedly improved, the focal depth of the near-field recording system is substantially increased, and a subsurface recording is effectively obtained using the mode focusing.  相似文献
