A full-duplex radio-on-fiber (ROF) transport system based on mutually injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser diodes (FP LDs) as light source is proposed and demonstrated. Transmission performances over a 40-km standard single-mode fiber (SMF) for full-duplex transmission were investigated. Good performance of bit error rate (BER) was achieved in our proposed systems. We directly modulate the FP LDs in mutually injection-locked scheme instead of using expensive external modulator and sophisticated optical carrier suppression technique; it reveals an outstanding alternative with advantages in simplicity and cost.  相似文献

Bidirectional high definition television (HDTV)/Gigabit Ethernet over wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM)-passive optical network (PON) based on injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser diodes (FP LDs) as transmitters were proposed and demonstrated. Injection-locked FP LDs, a particularly inexpensive option, are used to replace conventional distributed feedback (DFB) LDs. Services with 77 HDTV channels and 1 Gigabit Ethernet channel connection were successfully demonstrated over 40 km single-mode fiber (SMF) transport. Good performance of bit error rate (BER) and clear eye diagram were achieved in our proposed bidirectional WDM-PON.  相似文献

We proposed and demonstrated a bidirectional wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM)–passive optical network (PON) employing injection-locked Fabry–Perot laser diodes (FP LDs) at both transmitting sites, and adaptive filters at both receiving sites. Injection-locked FP LDs, a particularly inexpensive option, are used to replace the conventional distributed feedback (DFB) LDs in WDM–PON. Adaptive filters are attractive because they can track the variations and compensate the nonlinear distortions. Transmission performance over 20 km of a standard single-mode fiber (SMF) was investigated. Improved performance of bit error rate (BER), better and clear eye diagram were achieved in our proposed WDM–PON.  相似文献

One distributed feedback (DFB) laser diode with main and multiple side modes injection-locked is proposed and demonstrated. DFB laser diode can be successfully injection-locked not only in the main mode but also in the side modes. The side mode suppression ratio (SMSR) value of each injection-locked mode is enhanced, thereby, it can be a promising candidate for the use of multiple optical sources. Our proposed scheme has the potential to be used as optical sources for radio-on-wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) transport systems to provide multiple services.  相似文献

We propose, a novel upstream transmission scheme for high speed wavelength division multiplexed passive optical networks. Upstream transmission at bit rate of 2.5 Gb/s was demonstrated using a Fabry–Perot (FP) laser diode (LD) externally injected by a spectrum-sliced polarization-insensitive supercontinuum pulse source, located at central office. The impact of Rayleigh backscattering on transmission performance is also investigated. The proposed scheme is expected to be cost-effective since low-cost FP LDs are used for light sources.  相似文献

A hybrid community antenna television (CATV) and orthogonal-frequency-division-multiplexing (OFDM) transport system is proposed and experimentally demonstrated to transmit multiple CATV channels and bi-directional radio frequency signals on a single optical carrier. By polarization remodulating an optical CATV signal with downstream OFDM signals and then amplitude remodulating upstream OFDM signals with the hybrid CATV/OFDM signals, this architecture can efficiently utilize only one optical carrier to support optical analog/digital CATV transmission and bi-directional wireless broadband services for each client. Good experimental results prove that this architecture provides a proper wavelength utilization scheme for future multiwavelength optical transport systems.  相似文献

In this paper we experimentally examine the dependence of the injection-locked range magnitude of a Fabry–Pérot (FP) laser on the linewidth of a seed laser. We measure the enhancement of the incident-power-dependent injection-locked range when changing the seed-light linewidth in three different ranges, starting with tens of GHz, then hundreds of MHz, and up to a few hundred kHz. We notice the progressive shrinkage of the locking range with an increase in the linewidth of the seed source. Simultaneously, the linewidth of a FP laser was measured and the cancellation of multiple longitudinal operating modes as well as a great reduction of linewidth are observed with a self-homodyne measurement.  相似文献

提出了基于幅度相位联合校正算法的8阶正交幅度调制(8-QAM)自由空间相干光通信方案。与传统的自由空间光通信方案相比,本文提出的方案不仅无需信道状态信息(CSI)就可以实现对原信号的高精度还原,同时还具有较高的光谱效率。仿真实验表明,当接收端与发射端的频偏f 0=20 MHz、激光器联合线宽Δf=10 kHz、信噪比为20 dB时,该方案在归一化大气闪烁标准差σ=0.25、归一化相位噪声方差σΦ^2=0.07的对数正态湍流信道条件下,其误码率(BER)与未采用联合校正算法的8-QAM系统相比低4个量级。  相似文献

介绍了边带锁频技术稳频方法,推导出鉴频曲线,对稳频控制过程进行了分析.建立了注入锁定激光器的边带锁频技术稳频系统理论模型,讨论了相关参量对稳频效果的影响并且进行了优化.结果表明,增加入射光强,采用窄线宽的法布里-珀罗以及对法布里-珀罗进行高准确度温控都可以增强稳频效果.提出适用于注入锁定激光器的两种稳频方案并进行比较.  相似文献

A novel architecture of hybrid WDM/OCDMA-PON employing two wavelength bands for two different groups of ONUs is proposed. OCDMA is overlayed on WDM channel in a single network and the total capacity of WDM/OCDMA-PON becomes 2m times larger than the traditional WDM-PON. Meanwhile, a C + L band ultra-broadband light source is used for upstream transmission, which can be seen as a cost-effective manner in FTTH. In simulation system, 1.25 Gb/s downstream and upstream data based on the architecture are transmitted with good performance. And the crosstalk penalties from adjacent code channels (at the same wavelength) are found to be little in upstream and downstream transmissions.  相似文献

This study proposed and demonstrated a directly modulated NTSC AM-VSB 77-channel plus Internet access system using a Fabry-Perot (FP) laser diode, an optical isolator, fiber Bragg grating (FBG), wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM), channel conversion and two-way communication techniques over an existing multimode fiber (MMF) on the author’s campus. Performances of carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) of >43dB composite second order (CSO) of >53dB and composite triple beat (CTB) of >53dB were obtained over a 2-km MMF transmission. The proposed two-way communication system is simple and suitable for fiber to the classrooms application.  相似文献

A novel optical microwave and millimeter generation by using single mode fiber FP cavity (SMFFPC) with pulse laser injection is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The frequency of output signal is determined by the birefringence degree of the SMFFPC, a general relationship between output signal frequency of SMFFPC and birefringence degree of single mode fiber is derived. The proof of concept device consists of a light source, a polarizer controller, a modulator, a RF generator, a single mode fiber Fabry-Perot cavity, a strain inspector, an erbium doped fiber amplifier, a filter, a polarizer, and a digital communication analyzer. The results demonstrate the new concept of optical microwave and millimeter generation and the technical feasibility.  相似文献

提出一种基于非线性级联傅里叶变换的光学Hash函数的构造方法.此方法分为两轮单向加密过程,在第一轮中,先将待处理的数字信息以512bit作为数据块编码,将整个数字信息整分成若干个"8×8的256阶灰度图像"(信息平面),然后在光电混合系统中对上述信息平面组做非线性级联傅里叶变换得到一个数值矩阵,对其进行扩展后得到4个信息平面,再对它们做非线性级联傅里叶变换得到64bit的Hash值(hash1);在第二轮中,先将原始信息平面中的每个数值循环左移4位,构造出相应的辅助信息平面组,然后对其做与第一轮相同的单向加密操作,得到hash2,将其与之前生成的hash1组合起来构成最终128bit的Hash值(hash).同时,本文提出采用雪崩效应系数(AEC)作为评价光学Hash函数性能的参数,理论分析和仿真实验均表明,该方法构造的光学Hash函数具有很好的抗碰撞性和良好的雪崩效应.  相似文献

A bidirectional hybrid dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM)-passive optical network (PON) employing optical injection locking technique on vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) and data comparator, as well as optical injection locking technique on distributed feedback laser diodes (DFB LDs) and amplitude/phase compensator is proposed and demonstrated. Improved performances of bit error rate (BER) and carrier-to-noise ratio/composite second order/composite triple beat (CNR/CSO/CTB) were observed in our proposed bidirectional hybrid DWDM-PON. Bidirectional transmission in bidirectional hybrid DWDM-PON architecture is a very attractive option, the capacity of the optical network can be expanded relatively easily by bidirectional transmission technology.  相似文献

提出了一种单光源、双向输出信号频率可选的光纤无线系统,该系统在单光源条件下,利用相干检测技术、数字信号处理技术,结合并行相位调制器以及波长选择开关结构,在上下行链路实现基带信号、多个毫米波信号输出.仿真验证表明,针对20Gbit/s 16-QAM调制信号,经30km光纤传输,系统下行输出信号频率实现0~60GHz可选,其传输最小矢量误差为6.53%(0GHz)~7.61%(60GHz);上行输出信号频率实现0~120GHz可选,其传输最小矢量误差为6.89%(0GHz)~8.30%(120GHz).理论分析和仿真结果表明,该系统双向链路均可实现频率可选的信号输出,且双向传输具有较好的性能表现.  相似文献

本文报道了一种基于光纤光栅的波长可调谐光分插复用器.可连续线性调谐5.3nm来选择不同的信道进行上下载信息.用宽带光源对该器件的性能进行了测试;用该器件在4波长全光纤激光器作信号源的光纤通信传输实验系统中做了解复用实验.实验表明该器件能很好地下载光信号,相邻信道隔离度达到29dB,具有一定的应用价值.  相似文献
