This investigation examines the propagation of elastic waves in orthotropic materials to explain the sound insulation of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics). The mechanical characteristics of an orthotropic material generally require nine independent parameters: three Young’s moduli, three shear moduli and three Poisson’s ratios. Three-dimensional analysis is performed with the elastic wave equations of an orthotropic material. The transfer matrix method which expresses the relationship between stress and velocity is adopted to calculate the sound transmission loss across an orthotropic material. Further, the transfer matrix method can only be calculated under the continuous boundary condition in the interface of each FRP layer. The boundary conditions which are indicated above are velocity and stress. The numerical results are compared with the experimental results. Additionally, along with varying material properties such as Young’s modulus, the acoustical properties of the orthotropic material are explained and discussed later.  相似文献

Weak-measurement-based experiments (Kocsis et al., 2011) have shown that, at least for pure states, the average evolution of independent photons in Young’s two-slit experiment is in compliance with the trajectories prescribed by the Bohmian formulation of quantum mechanics. But, what happens if the same experiment is repeated assuming that the wave function associated with each particle is different, i.e., in the case of mixed (incoherent) states? This question is investigated here by means of two alternative numerical simulations of Young’s experiment, purposely devised to be easily implemented and tested in the laboratory. Contrary to what could be expected a priori, it is found that even for conditions of maximal mixedness or incoherence (total lack of interference fringes), experimental data will render a puzzling and challenging outcome: the average particle trajectories will still display features analogous to those for pure states, i.e., independently of how mixedness arises, the associated dynamics is influenced by both slits at the same time. Physically this simply means that weak measurements are not able to discriminate how mixedness arises in the experiment, since they only provide information about the averaged system dynamics.  相似文献

We propose an interferometric method for the characterization of the smile of laser diode bars (LDBs). The LDB is placed in a Lloyd’s mirror set-up. The beams coming from the LDB and its virtual image produce Young’s fringes, which are captured by a charge-coupled-device array, digitised and saved in a computer as an irradiance matrix. The irradiance matrix is processed in the computer and the smile parameter extracted. The theoretical basis of the method is discussed and simulated fringe patterns of practical situations are presented. A device based on the described interferometric method was mounted and the smile of a commercially available LDB was characterised.  相似文献

The Takagi approach to the dynamical theory of x-ray diffraction has been used to study LLL x-ray polylithic interferometers. A computational tool has been implemented to solve the Takagi equations with boundary conditions of the Cauchy type. The mean intensity, visibility and initial phase of the x-ray fringes generated by displacing the analyzer have been calculated for any wavefront, absorption of the incident radiation and for the most common geometric arrangements. Geometric aberrations of different kinds, introduced during interferometer preparation, are considered. The curve relevant to the calculated difference between the reflected and transmitted x-ray fringes as a function of analyzer rotation is in agreement with the experimental curve.  相似文献

A model of a rough surface to the scale of the optical wavelength is proposed, with randomly distributed zero-mean Gaussian heights. It is assumed that the aforesaid surface is illuminated by a coherent light beam of homogeneous intensity. An in-plane pure translation of this surface is simulated on a PC by means of the Matlab program. In the near-field optical regions the Fraunhofer approximation and the subsequent FFT are not suitable for application in the generation of a speckle pattern. Hence, with the aim of calculating the translation of the rough surface by means of double-exposure objective speckle photography using the point-wise filtering technique (PWFT), the Fresnel-Kirchhoff integral is first employed to obtain the speckle intensity near the surface on a photographic plate, and then the intensity pattern produced by the diffraction of the plate is determined in the far field (Fraunhofer), which suffices to calculate the modulus of displacement through the Young’s fringes. The results are analyzed according to surface roughness and the sample distance to the recording plane.  相似文献

The image-processing system based on a two-dimensional Fourier transform is presented for the analysis of Young’s fringes pattern created from a double-exposure speckle photograph. The fringe spacing and orientation are determined using only one Young’s fringes pattern without any other diffraction halo patterns. The stress-intensity factors of a mixed-mode interface crack were measured by speckle photography. A compact normal and shear specimen with an interface crack was employed. This specimen enables us to carry out the experiment under various kinds of mixed-mode loading. A steel and an epoxy resin were used as dissimilar materials. The displacement along the crack lines at the free surface was measured by speckle photography. The K1 and K11 values were determined by a least squares method using displacement data along the crack lines. Three-dimensional finite element analysis was carried out on the same specimen. An accuracy of stress intensity factors obtained by the speckle photography was discussed by comparison of results obtained by the finite element analysis.Presented at 1996 International Workshop on Interferometry (IWI ‘96), August 27–29, Saitama, Japan.  相似文献

The Green's function for the time-independent radiative transport equation in the whole space can be computed as an expansion in plane wave solutions. Plane wave solutions are a general class of solutions for the radiative transport equation. Because plane wave solutions are not known analytically in general, we calculate them numerically using the discrete ordinate method. We use the whole space Green's function to derive boundary integral equations. Through the solution of the boundary integral equations, we compute the Green's function for bounded domains. In particular we compute the Green's function for the half space, the slab, and the two-layered half space. The boundary conditions used here are in their most general form. Hence, this theory can be applied to boundaries with any kind of reflection and transmission law.  相似文献

A new method of analyzing interference fringes using a microcomputer is proposed. Interference fringes with a tilted wavefront are spatially scanned perpendicularly to the spatial carrier by a TV camera. Irradiance distribution along a raster scan is sinusoidally interpolated in each carrier interval and optical phases are calculated over the whole area under test.  相似文献

A new technique, referred to as Stokes holography, is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for controlled synthesis of generalized Stokes parameters in 3D space using Stokes fringes. Stokes fringes are polarization fringes which permit to record and reconstruct complete wavefront. Full use of Stokes fringes in a single step is realized by scattering complex field and subsequently reconstructing using spatial averaging of the randomly scattered field. Mathematical formulations are derived and supported by experimental results of 3D object reconstruction in generalized Stokes parameters.  相似文献

Starting from the Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral, the recurrence expression for the power spectra of pulsed Hermite-Gaussian beams in Young’s interference experiment in dispersive media are derived and used to study the spectral anomalies of pulsed Hermite-Gaussian beams in the far field. The results of numerical calculation are given to illustrate the dependence of spectral anomalous behavior on the pulse parameter, slit parameter, diffraction angle and dispersive property of medium. The potential application of spectral anomalies of pulsed Hermite-Gaussian beams in information encoding and information transmission in dispersive media is considered.  相似文献

通过采用将入射光掠入射到频率为几百赫兹的衰减低频液体表面波上,观察到了清晰的间距分布具有明显非对称性的衍射条纹。当入射光掠入射到低频液体表面上时,衍射图样非对称分布具有普遍性。理论上得到了考虑表面波衰减影响后观察屏处衍射光强分布的解析表达式。理论结果表明:衍射图样的这种非对称分布与衍射级次、入射光波波长、液体表面波波长及表面波衰减系数有关;正负级次衍射亮条纹距离中央零级亮条纹的间距体现表面波衰减信息;正衍射级次之间以及负衍射级次之间的条纹间距体现表面波波长信息。利用所提出的方法实现了对几百赫兹液体表面波的衰减系数的实时便捷测量。  相似文献

At singular points of a wave field, where the amplitude vanishes, the phase may become singular and wavefront dislocation may occur. In this Letter we investigate for wave fields in one spatial dimension the appearance of these essentially linear phenomena. We introduce the Chu-Mei quotient as it is known to appear in the ‘nonlinear dispersion relation’ for wave groups as a consequence of the nonlinear transformation of the complex amplitude to real phase-amplitude variables. We show that unboundedness of this quotient at a singular point, related to unboundedness of the local wavenumber and frequency, is a generic property and that it is necessary for the occurrence of phase singularity and wavefront dislocation, while these phenomena are generic too. We also show that the ‘soliton on finite background’, an explicit solution of the NLS equation and a model for modulational instability leading to extreme waves, possesses wavefront dislocations and unboundedness of the Chu-Mei quotient.  相似文献

The combination of image plane holography and speckle photography for measurement of 3-D displacements has been reported earlier. It has been observed that when we interrogate such a hologram by an unexpanded laser beam, in addition to the formation of Young's fringes in the direct diffracted beam, very bright side lobes are also generated. If the specimen has undergone any in-plane displacement, high contrast fringes appear in the side lobes. We have demonstrated that these fringes can be used to obtain a precise quantitative in-plane displacement of the object.  相似文献

A new method for subtracting images is proposed. It is based on assigning complementary Young's fringes to the speckles of the common parts of two images. In this way, carrier frequency is cancelled, and “a-posteriori” spatial filtering shows only noncommon parts. Suggestions on applications of the method are briefly commented.  相似文献

提出一种检测光束准直度的新方法。在对波面矢高进行定义的基础上,提出CCD轴向扫描检测激光束准直度的方法。利用采样光波在会聚透镜后形成的衍射图样,测量两个相同基准衍射图样之间的距离,即可确定入射光波的波面矢高,进而确定入射光波的准直度。在给出测量原理及模拟基准衍射图样的基础上.进行了实验验证。CCD轴向扫描方法具有结构简单、加工便利、操作方便的特点,是检测光束准直度的有效方法。  相似文献

The aim of this paper was to address the relationship between the porosity and micro-mechanical properties of the Ni-based alloy coatings which were prepared by a novel plasma-spraying system. The porosity and the mechanical properties of the coatings varied through changing the spraying parameters. Experimental results showed that the measured data of porosity, Young’s modulus and micro-hardness of the coating exhibited high scattering and followed the Weibull distribution. From statistic trend, the micro-hardness and Young’s modulus of the coating decreased with increasing the porosity of the coating. Moreover, generally, with increasing the micro-hardness of the coating, Young’s modulus of the coating increased.  相似文献

设计了一种新型的体全息光栅透镜, 在一块光学平板(体全息记录材料)内可以将输入光束产生横向传输并聚焦, 或对输入光点产生横传的准直. 它由一束平面波和一束球面波正交入射到光学平板上干涉形成的. 研究了该体全息透镜的光栅间距变化情况, 为设计和制备体全息光栅透镜及相关器件提供了理论依据. 基于两光束耦合波理论, 得到了该光栅透镜的耦合波方程, 近似计算了该透镜的衍射效率及其达到高衍射效率时透镜的最佳尺寸. 最后, 讨论了该透镜在集成光学等领域中的应用.  相似文献
