Measurements of the magnitude, sign and temperature dependence of the Knight-shiftK and magnetic susceptibility in Molybdenum metal were carried out. Detailed analysis of these data shows that the principal contribution toK and arises from the orbital part. The temperature dependence ofK and is due mainly to the orbital part and not to the core polarization part as it is known for other transition metals. Theoretical calculations are in agreement with these results.The experiments were carried out in a magnetic field of 80 kG and over the temperature range 300T1200 K. 相似文献

The NMR line widths of the isotopes Mo95 and Mo97 were measured in liquids, where the relaxation time is determined mainly by electrical interaction. From the ratio of the line widthsδH 97/δH95=83, the ratio of the nuclear quadrupol momentsQ 97/Q 95=9,2 could be derived. The instrumentally limited range of line widths, which could be investigated, was 0,1 to 10 Gauss. The line widths of both isotopes were measured in this whole region in an aqueous solution of K2MoO4, the viscosity of which was varied by adding different amounts of cane-sugar. Untersuchungen zur Resorption und Retention des essentiellen Spurenelements Molybdän (Mo) – wichtig als Molybdänkofaktor für die Funktion der Enzyme Xanthinoxidase, Sulfitoxidase und Aldehyddehydrogenase beim Menschen – liegen derzeit kaum vor. Im Rahmen von Stoffwechseluntersuchungen verwenden wir die Massenspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma als Ionenquelle (ICP-MS) zur Bestimmung der stabilen Isotope von Molybdän im Urin und Stuhl bei Erwachsenen. Das Meßverfahren ist bereits für Bioverfügbarkeitsstudien der Spurenelemente Fe, Cu, Zn und Se angewendet worden [1]; es ist jedoch noch nicht zu Molybdän-Tracer-Studien genutzt worden. In unserer Studie wird das Isotopenverhältnis 98Mo/100Mo mit ICP-MS untersucht. Die ersten Ergebnisse zeigen, daß die ICP-MS-Bestimmung der stabilen Isotope 98Mo und 100Mo im Urin und Stuhl beim Menschen ohne störende Interferenzen gelingt. Die Methode ermöglicht die qualitative und quantitative Analyse von 98Mo und 100Mo im ng/ml und pg/ml-Bereich. Die Präzision der Messungen liegt bei 0,1–1,0%. Absorption and retention investigations of the essential trace element molybdenum (Mo), which enables the proper function of three important enzymes, xanthine oxidase, sulphite oxidase and aldehyde dehydrogenase in man are hardly known. Recently, we developed a method for the stable isotopes determination of molybdenum in biological samples in man by inductively plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This technique has already been used for bioavailability studies of Fe, Zn, Cu and Se, but not of Mo [1]. Now we report on the isotope ratio measurements of 98Mo/100Mo with ICP-MS. The first results show that the ICP-MS can be applied for the qualitative and quantitative determination of 98Mo and 100Mo in ng/ml and pg/ml range in fecal and urine samples.
