Extending two classical embedding theorems of Albert and Jacobson and Jacobson for Albert (exceptional simple Jordan) algebra over fields of characteristic not two to base fields of arbitrary characteristic, we show that any element of a reduced Albert algebra can be embedded into a reduced absolutely simple subalgebra of degree 3 and dimension 9 which may be chosen to be split if the Albert algebra was split to begin with.  相似文献

In this paper we construct a family of small unitary representations for real semisimple Lie groups associated with Jordan algebras. These representations are realized on L2-spaces of certain orbits in the Jordan algebra. The representations are spherical and one of our key results is a precise L2-estimate for the Fourier transform of the spherical vector. We also consider the tensor products of these representations and describe their decomposition.  相似文献

In a recent paper by the author and Golubkov, it was proved that a strongly prime Lie PI-algebra with an algebraic adjoint representation over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 is simple and finite dimensional. In this note, we derive this result from a more general one on strongly prime Lie PI-algebras with abelian minimal inner ideals, which is closely related to the intrinsic characterization of simple finitary Lie algebras with abelian minimal inner ideals.  相似文献

We define symmetric spaces in arbitrary dimension and over arbitrary non-discrete topological fields , and we construct manifolds and symmetric spaces associated to topological continuous quasi-inverse Jordan pairs and -triple systems. This class of spaces, called smooth generalized projective geometries, generalizes the well-known (finite or infinite-dimensional) bounded symmetric domains as well as their ‘compact-like’ duals. Let (V, Δ) be a Jordan copair over a field Φ and let V? be its dual pair. Then there exists a Lie coalgebra (L c (V), Δ L ) whose dual algebra (L c (V))? is the Kantor–Koecher–Tits construction for the pair V?. If Φ is a field of characteristic other than 2 or 3 then the Lie coalgebra (L c (J), Δ L ) is locally finite-dimensional. As a corollary we derive that Jordan copairs over fields of characteristic other than 2 or 3 are locally finite-dimensional.  相似文献

In this article, we prove that the vertex operator algebra V 𝒥 is simple if and only if r is not an integer. Further, in the case that r is an integer (i.e., V 𝒥 is not simple), we give a generator system of the maximal proper ideal I r of the VOA V 𝒥 explicitly.  相似文献

The problem of classification of Jordan bimodules over (non-semisimple) finite dimensional Jordan algebras with respect to their representation type is considered. The notions of diagram of a Jordan algebra and of Jordan tensor algebra of a bimodule are introduced and a mapping Qui is constructed which associates to the diagram of a Jordan algebra J the quiver of its universal associative enveloping algebra S(J). The main results are concerned with Jordan algebras of semi-matrix type, that is, algebras whose semi-simple component is a direct sum of Jordan matrix algebras. In this case, criterion of finiteness and tameness for one-sided representations are obtained, in terms of diagram and mapping Qui, for Jordan tensor algebras and for algebras with radical square equals to 0.  相似文献

In finite dimensional Lie algebras, Jordan algebras, and other algebraic structures the study of derivations has been facilitated by having a nontrivial trace formula on hand (see for example [?]) . Tuere is no common pattern in proving these trace formulas, they all depend on the underlying structures. In this note we derive such a trace formula for finite dimensional central simple Jordan pairs. We use it to determine all derivations the Killing form and the dimensions of the derivation algebras of the Jordan pairs. Dur primary tool is a Trace Reduction Formula.  相似文献

We study commutative algebras that satisfy the Jacobi identity. Such algebras are Jordan algebras. We describe some of their properties and give a new bound of the index of nilpotency. We prove that every commutative nilalgebra of nilindex 3 generated by k elements over a field of characteristic ≠ 2, 3 is nilpotent of index less than or equal to k + 5.  相似文献

In this paper we study Gelfand-Kirillov dimension in Jordan algebras. In particular we will relate Gelfand-Kirillov (GK for short) dimensions of a special Jordan algebra and its associative enveloping algebra and also the GK dimension of a Jordan algebra and the GK dimension of its universal multiplicative enveloping algebra.
