Recently, [1] have obtained the transient solution of multi-server queue with balking and reneging. In this paper, a similar technique is used to drive a new elegant explicit solution for a two heterogeneous servers queue with impatient behavior. 研究了具有插队和止步行为的M/M/c排队系统. 将到达顾客分为常规顾客和插队顾客, 常规顾客在队尾排队等待服务, 插队顾客总是尽可能的靠近队首插队等待服务. 插队行为由到达顾客的插队概率和队列中等待顾客对插队行为的容忍来描述. 利用负指数分布的性质、Laplace-Stieltjes变换和全概率公式, 给出了处于等待队列位置n的顾客、任意一个常规顾客和任意一个插队顾客的等待时间的表达式. 在此基础上, 讨论了系统相关指标随系统参数的变化情况.  相似文献

M/G/1 queues with server vacations have been studied extensively over the last two decades. Recent surveys by Boxma [3], Doshi [5] and Teghem [14] provide extensive summary of literature on this subject. More recently, Shanthikumar [11] has generalized some of the results toM/G/1 type queues in which the arrival pattern during the vacations may be different from that during the time the server is actually working. In particular, the queue length at the departure epoch is shown to decompose into two independent random variables, one of which is the queue length at the departure epoch (arrival epoch, steady state) in the correspondingM/G/1 queue without vacations. Such generalizations are important in the analysis of situations involving reneging, balking and finite buffer cyclic server queues. In this paper we consider models similar to the one in Shanthikumar [11] but use the work in the system as the starting point of our investigation. We analyze the busy and idle periods separately and get conditional distributions of work in the system, queue length and, in some cases, waiting time. We then remove the conditioning to get the steady state distributions. Besides deriving the new steady state results and conditional waiting time and queue length distributions, we demonstrate that the results of Boxma and Groenendijk [2] follow as special cases. We also provide an alternative approach to deriving Shanthikumar's [11] results for queue length at departure epochs.  相似文献

We consider an M/PH/1 queue with balking based on the workload. An arriving customer joins the queue and stays until served only if the system workload is below a fixed level at the time of arrival. The steady state workload distribution in such a system satisfies an integral equation. We derive a differential equation for Phase type service time distribution and we solve it explicitly, with Erlang, Hyper-exponential and Exponential distributions as special cases. Consider a single-server queue with a renewal arrival process and generally distributed processing times in which each customer independently reneges if service has not begun within a generally distributed amount of time. We establish that both the workload and queue-length processes in this system can be approximated by a regulated Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (ROU) process when the arrival rate is close to the processing rate and reneging times are large. We further show that a ROU process also approximates the queue-length process, under the same parameter assumptions, in a balking model. Our balking model assumes the queue-length is observable to arriving customers, and that each customer balks if his or her conditional expected waiting time is too large.  相似文献

The problem is to determine an explicit form for the stationary distribution of an imbedded Markov Chain in aGI/M/S queue with balking and reneging.We first construct the discrete transforms — introduced bySubba Rao/Jaiswal [1969] — for this queueing system. Then, using this concept, we resolve the problem, obtaining a new way for determining the transition probabilities of the imbedded Markov chain.

We consider an M/M/1+M queue with a human server, who is influenced by incentives. Specifically, the server chooses his service rate by maximizing his utility function. Our objective is to guarantee the existence of a unique maximum. The complication is that most sensible utility functions depend on the server utilization, a non-simple expression. We derive a property of the utilization that guarantees quasiconcavity of any utility function that multiplies the server’s concave (including linear) “value” of his service rate by the server utilization.  相似文献

研究具有Bernoulli控制策略的M/M/1多重休假排队模型: 当系统为空时, 服务台依一定的概率或进入闲期, 或进入普通休假状态, 或进入工作休假状态. 对该模型, 应用拟生灭(QBD)过程和矩阵几何解的方法, 得到了过程平稳队长的具体形式, 在此基础上, 还得到了平稳队长和平稳逗留时间的随机分解结果以及附加队长分布和附加延迟的LST的具体形式. 结果表明, 经典的M/M/1排队, M/M/1多重休假排队, M/M/1多重工作休假排队都是该模型的特殊情形.  相似文献

This paper considers theM/M/c queue in which a customer leaves when its service has not begun within a fixed interval after its arrival. The loss probability can be expressed in a simple formula involving the waiting time probabilities in the standardM/M/c queue. The purpose of this paper is to give a probabilistic derivation of this formula and to outline a possible use of this general formula in theM/M/c retrial queue with impatient customers. In this paper, we give a detailed analysis of the M/M/c queue with Phase Type synchronous vacations. Two models are considered. Firstly, the vacation strategy is a multiple synchronous vacation. Secondly, only a single vacation is taken each time. For model 1, we give the distributions of the stable queue length and the waiting time. Finally,it is shown that model 2 may be analyzed similarly to model 1.  相似文献
