In this paper, the viscous continuum traffic flow model for a single lane is extended to the traffic flow for two-lane freeways. The proposed model is a higher-order continuum model considering the coupling and lane changing effects of the vehicles on two adjacent lanes. It results from integrating the Taylor series expansion of the viscous continuum traffic flow model proposed by Ge (2006 Physica A 371 667) into the multi-lane model presented by Daganzo (1997 Transpn. Res. B 31 83). Our proposed model may be used to describe non-anisotropic behaviour because of lane changing in multi-lane traffic. A linear stability analysis is given and the neutral stability condition is obtained. Also, issues related to lane changing, shock waves and rarefaction waves, local clustering and phase transition are investigated through a simulation experiment. The simulation results show that the proposed model is capable of explaining some particular traffic phenomena commonly observable in real world traffic flow.  相似文献

In this Letter, we propose a new continuum traffic model with a viscous term. The linear stability condition for viscous shock waves is derived. We derive the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation near the neutral stability line. Then we investigate the effect of the viscous term by numerical simulations. The results show that viscosity may induce oscillations and the amplitude of the oscillation increases as the viscosity coefficient increases. This agrees with the linear stability condition. The local clusters are compressed by increasing the viscosity coefficient in the cluster study.  相似文献

The car-following model of traffic flow is extended to take into account the relative velocity. The stability condition of this model is obtained by using linear stability theory. It is shown that the stability of uniform traffic flow is improved by considering the relative velocity. From nonlinear analysis, it is shown that three different density waves, that is, the triangular shock wave, soliton wave and kink-antikink wave, appear in the stable, metastable and unstable regions of traffic flow respectively. The three different density waves are described by the nonlinear wave equations: the Burgers equation, Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation, respectively.  相似文献

Density waves are investigated analytically and numerically in the optimal velocity model with reaction-time delay of drivers. The stability condition of this model is obtained by using the linear stability theory. The results show that the decrease of reaction-time delay of drivers leads to the stabilization of traffic flow. The Burgers, Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equations are derived to describe the density waves in the stable, metastable and unstable regions respectively. The triangular shock waves, soliton waves and kink-antikink waves appearing respectively in the three distinct regions are derived to describe the traffic jams. Based on the microscopic two velocity difference model, a macroscopic model called speed viscous continuum model is developed to describe traffic flow. The relative velocities are added to the motion equation, which leads to viscous effects in continuum model. The viscous continuum model overcomes the backward travel problem, which exists in many higher-order continuum models. Nonlinear analysis shows that the density fluctuation in traffic flow leads to density waves. Near the onset of instability, a small disturbance could lead to solitons described by the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers (KdV-Burgers) equation, which is seldom found in other traffic flow models, and the soliton solution is derived.  相似文献

By introducing the traffic anticipation effect in the real world into the original lattice hydrodynamic model, we present a new anticipation effect lattice hydrodynamic (AELH) model, and obtain the linear stability condition of the model by applying the linear stability theory. Through nonlinear analysis, we derive the Burgers equation and Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, to describe the propagating behaviour of traffic density waves in the stable and the metastable regions, respectively. The good agreement between simulation results and analytical results shows that the stability of traffic flow can be enhanced when the anticipation effect is considered.  相似文献

This paper presents our study of the nonlinear stability of a new anisotropic continuum traffic flow model in which the dimensionless parameter or anisotropic factor controls the non-isotropic character and diffusive influence.In order to establish traffic flow stability criterion or to know the critical parameters that lead,on one hand,to a stable response to perturbations or disturbances or,on the other hand,to an unstable response and therefore to a possible congestion,a nonlinear stability criterion is derived by using a wavefront expansion technique.The stability criterion is illustrated by numerical results using the finite difference method for two different values of anisotropic parameter.It is also been observed that the newly derived stability results are consistent with previously reported results obtained using approximate linearisation methods.Moreover,the stability criterion derived in this paper can provide more refined information from the perspective of the capability to reproduce nonlinear traffic flow behaviors observed in real traffic than previously established methodologies.  相似文献

In order to exhibit the meta-stable states, several slow-to-start rules have been investigated as modification to Nagel-Schreckenberg (NS) model. These models can reproduce some realistic phenomena which are absent in the original NS model. But in these models, the size of cluster is still not considered as a useful parameter. In real traffic, the slow-to-start motion of a standing vehicle often depends on the degree of congestion which can be measured by the clusters' size. According to this idea, we propose a cluster-size dependent slow-to-start model based on the speed- dependent slow-to-start rule (VDR) model. It gives expected results through simulations. Comparing with the VDR model, our new model has a better traffic efficiency and shows richer complex characters.[第一段]  相似文献

推广了Baek等人最近提出的一个双向行人流模型,提出了两种改进策略,并从行人平均速度-密度关系、行人空间分布密度和位置分布等方面进行了数值分析. 研究发现,引入的两个新策略不仅可以提高行人流的平均速度,而且可以提高道路系统(尤其是道路中央区域)利用率,减轻拥堵状况,有效避免严重堵塞的发生. 改进的策略对行人的心理特点和行为特性等方面考虑更加全面,而且可以较好地模拟高密度的双向行人流. 关键词: 元胞自动机模型 双向行人流 交通惯例  相似文献

在经典单路段元胞自动机交通流模型的基础上,将多个路段视为一个道路系统,提出并研究了多路段条件下的交通流问题.针对多路段道路的特点,通过引入车辆流入规则、路口随机慢化规则和路口车辆流入规则,控制车辆从上一路段流入下一路段.首先提出了"汽车池"的概念,来控制每一路口车辆的流入;然后通过路口随机慢化,来模拟路口对交通的影响;最后,当车辆离开时,依直行率进入下一路段,实现车流的继续流动.同时,通过数值模拟,仿真了不同条件下的交通情况,对重要参数进行了研究.结果表明,出现了混合流这一新的现象,拥堵地段与非拥堵地段间存在明显的界限.拥堵往往最先从路口开始,然后蔓延到整个路段.多路段道路还存在临界突变的特性.随着车辆流入概率的增大,路口对平均速度和车流密度的影响愈加明显.当流入概率超过一定阈值时,车辆缓慢地增加也会引起整体道路通行能力的迅速下降.  相似文献

Concerning the link properties in traffic networks, we introduce a dynamic equation of road flow into each link, and thereby propose a dynamic model for network flow. Using this model, we investigate the evolutions of inflow, outflow and flow on each link caused by a small perturbation of the network inflow under different route choice rules. Numerical results show that the dynamic model can reasonably capture the basic characteristics of network flow.  相似文献

A new macroscopic heterogeneous traffic flow model is proposed in this paper. Driver anticipation is developed using analogies from Darcy's law and is based on the time and lateral distance headways. An equilibrium velocity distribution for heterogeneous traffic based on traffic alignment is employed. The performance of the Extended Speed Gradient (ESG), Zhang and proposed models is compared for the same traffic conditions using the Roe decomposition technique. The results obtained show the significance of the time and lateral distance headways on the evolution of traffic flow. Further, the proposed model provides a more realistic characterization of traffic flow than the ESG and Zhang models.  相似文献

In this paper we propose an enhanced continuum model for traffic flow considering the effect of driver characteristics and traffic jerk. Based on the linear stability condition, the sufficient conditions of model stability is given. In the nonlinear stability analysis, we derive the KdV–Burger equation to describe the propagation characteristics of traffic density waves near the neutral stability curve. The simulation example verified that the driver characteristics and traffic jerk have a significant impact on the stability of the traffic flow and emissions.  相似文献

为研究道路交通中的高速跟驰物理现象,针对高速跟驰车辆特点,综合考虑了驾驶员换道决策行为以及随机慢化等因素,结合前景理论等方法,提出了一种用于模拟道路交通流中高速跟驰物理现象的动力学模型(简称HCCA模型).通过计算机数值模拟,研究了高速跟驰交通流物理现象演化机理及高速跟驰特性.结果表明:与对称的双车道元胞自动机动力学模型相比,本文建立的HCCA动力学模型能够再现道路高速跟驰物理现象,并得到了道路小间距高速跟驰率超过7%的结果与实测结果相符合,最后模拟得到了丰富的交通物理现象,再现了自由流、同步流及运动阻塞等复杂交通物理现象.  相似文献

Based on the property of heterogeneous traffic flow, we in this Letter present a new car-following model. Applying the relationship between the micro and macro variables, a new dynamic model for heterogeneous traffic flow is obtained. The fundamental diagram and the jam density of the heterogeneous traffic flow consisting of bus and car are studied under three different conditions: (1) without any restrictions, (2) under the action of the traffic control policy that restrains some private cars and (3) using bus to replace the private cars restrained by the traffic control policy. The numerical results show that our model can describe some qualitative properties of the heterogeneous traffic flow consisting of bus and car, which verifies that our model is reasonable.  相似文献

The synchronized flow traffic phase of Kerner’s three-phase traffic theory can be well reproduced by the model proposed by Jiang and Wu [R. Jiang, Q.S. Wu, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 36 (2003) 381]. But in the Jiang and Wu model, the rule for brake light-after switching on, the brake light will not set off until the vehicle accelerates-is obviously unrealistic. Thus we improved the model by considering the difference in accelerating and decelerating performance under different driving conditions. The fundamental diagram and spatial-temporal diagrams are analyzed. We confirmed that the new model could reproduce the synchronized flow by two methods, i.e. the traffic flow interruption effect and performing microscopic analysis of time series data. Simulation results show that the decelerating difference is an important factor to reproduce the synchronized flow. We expect that our work could make contributions to understanding the mechanism of the synchronized flow.  相似文献
