We construct the simplest solvable non-trivial (S ≠ 1) supersymmetric model: the supersymmetric Ising field theory. The supersymmetric generalization of the duality order/disorder algebra is discussed. Finally we attempt to “double” the model and comment on the connection between this doubled model and the unsolved problem of the supersymmetric sine-Gordon kink structure.  相似文献

We use the generic replica symmetric cubic field theory to study the transition of short-range Ising spin glasses in a magnetic field around the upper critical dimension. A novel fixed point is found from the application of the renormalization group. In the spin-glass limit, this fixed point governs the critical behavior of a class of systems characterized by a single cubic parameter. For this universality class, the spin-glass susceptibility diverges at criticality, whereas the longitudinal mode remains massive. The third mode, however, behaves unusually. The physical consequences of this unusual behavior are discussed, and a comparison with the conventional de Almeida-Thouless scenario is presented.  相似文献

We compute the exact partition function, the universal ground-state degeneracy and boundary state of the 2D Ising model with boundary magnetic field at off-critical temperatures. The model has a domain that exhibits states localized near the boundaries. We study this domain of boundary bound state and derive exact expressions for the “g function” and boundary state for all temperatures and boundary magnetic fields. In the massless limit we recover the boundary renormalization group flow between the conformally invariant free and fixed boundary conditions.  相似文献

Recently,Shi et al.[2008 Phys.Lett.A 372 5922] have studied the dynamical response of the kinetic Ising model in the presence of a sinusoidal oscillating field and presented the dynamic phase diagrams by using an effective-field theory(EFT) and a mean-field theory(MFT).The MFT results are in conflict with those of the earlier work of Tom’e and de Oliveira,[1990 Phys.Rev.A 41 4251].We calculate the dynamic phase diagrams and find that our results are similar to those of the earlier work of Tom’e and de Oliveira;hence the dynamic phase diagrams calculated by Shi et al.are incomplete within both theories,except the low values of frequencies for the MFT calculation.We also investigate the influence of external field frequency(ω) and static external field amplitude(h0) for both MFT and EFT calculations.We find that the behaviour of the system strongly depends on the values of ω and h0.  相似文献

A spin-1 transverse Ising model with longitudinal crystal field in a longitudinal magnetic field is examined by introducing an effective field approximation (IEFT) which includes the correlations between different spins that emerge when expanding the identities. The effects of the crystal field as well as the transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields on the thermal and magnetic properties of the spin system are discussed in detail. The order parameters, Helmholtz free energy, entropy and specific heat curves are calculated numerically as functions of the temperature and Hamiltonian parameters. A number of interesting phenomena such as reentrant phenomena originating from the temperature, crystal field, transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields have been found.  相似文献

In the presence of a small magnetic field h, the elementary excitations in the scaling two-dimensional Ising model are studied perturbatively in in the ferromagnetic phase. For excitations with large numbers n, the mass spectrum is obtained in the first order in h. The decay widths of excitations with energies above the stability threshold are calculated in the leading h3 order.  相似文献

The existence of a spontaneous magnetization in the three-dimensional Ising model in a weak random magnetic field (RFIM) is investgated. Following Imry and Ma, we consider the energy change, E, from the fully aligned ferromagnetic state caused by flipping all the spins inside a connected surface, . It is proved rigorously that with high probability, E is positive forall enclosing the origin. Under the unproven assumption that the expectation value of the spin at one site is weakly correlated with the random fields at far away sites (which is true if surfaces within surfaces can be ignored) it follows that the three-dimensional RFIM has a spontaneous magnetization at low temperatures. The proof works for all dimensions greater than two, providing support for the conjecture that two is the lower critical dimension.Work supported in part by NSF grant No. DMR 8100417.  相似文献

We study a fermionic infinited-ranged Ising spin glass with a real space BCS interaction in the presence of an applied transverse field. The problem is formulated in the integral functional formalism where the SU(2) spins are given in terms of bilinear combinations of Grassmann fields. The problem is solved within static approximation and the replica symmetry ansatz combined with previous approaches used to study the critical behavior of the quantum Ising spin glass in a transverse field and the spin glass Heisenberg model with BCS pairing. Our results show that the transverse field has strong effect in the phase boundary of the spin glass phase and the PAIR phase in which there is a long range order corresponding to formations of pairs. The location of the tricritical point in the PAIR phase transition line is also affected.  相似文献

The thermodynamics of the unitary (normalized spin) quantum and classical Ising models with skew magnetic field, for |J|β?0.9, is derived for the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic cases. The high-temperature expansion (β-expansion) of the Helmholtz free energy is calculated up to order β7 for the quantum version (spin S≥1/2) and up to order β19 for the classical version. In contrast to the S=1/2 case, the thermodynamics of the transverse Ising and that of the XY model for S>1/2 are not equivalent. Moreover, the critical line of the T=0 classical antiferromagnetic Ising model with skew magnetic field is absent from this classical model, at least in the temperature range of |J|β?0.9.  相似文献

We study the existence of a spin-glass phase in a field using Monte Carlo simulations performed along a nontrivial path in the field-temperature plane that must cross any putative de Almeida-Thouless instability line. The method is first tested on the Ising spin glass on a Bethe lattice where the instability line separating the spin glass from the paramagnetic state is also computed analytically. While the instability line is reproduced by our simulations on the mean-field Bethe lattice, no such instability line can be found numerically for the short-range three-dimensional model.  相似文献

We show that Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions can substantially modify the phase diagram of spin-1/2 Heisenberg ladders in a magnetic field provided they compete with exchange. For nonfrustrated ladders, they induce a local magnetization along the DM vector that turns the gapless intermediate phase into an Ising phase with broken translational symmetry, while for frustrated ladders, they extend the Ising order of the half-integer plateau to the surrounding gapless phases of the purely Heisenberg case. Implications for experimental ladder and dimer systems are discussed.  相似文献

在一维倾斜场伊辛模型中, 利用并发度和Q测量函数分别对系统的两体纠缠和整体纠缠进行度量, 通过讨论系统中量子纠缠的动力学特性, 能够体现出系统的可积和不可积行为. 由系统基态的纠缠特性可以发现只要倾角不为零时, 系统的Q测量函数会随着磁场的增大而减少, 而用并发度刻画的系统的相变特性, 随着磁场倾角的增大发生了变化. 考虑系统的动力学行为发现, 在一维倾斜场伊辛模型中, 不可积性会抑制两体纠缠, 却促进系统整体纠缠生成. 关键词: 伊辛模型 不可积性 两体纠缠 整体纠缠  相似文献
