An electro-optical cavity-dumped 20 Hz Ce:Nd:YAG laser with an optimized thermal-insensitive concavo-convex cavity for aesthetic medicine was demonstrated. The pulse width remained constant at 6.0 ns. The maximum output energy and peak power were 120 mJ and 20 MW, respectively. The average output energy was very stable. The fluctuations of average output energy within 6 cycles and 10 min were 0.89% and 7.9%, respectively.  相似文献

Simultaneous direct irradiation with microwaves and ultrasound was used to determine total Kjeldahl nitrogen. The method involves chemical digestion in two steps, mineralization with sulfuric acid and oxidation with H2O2. The most influential variables for the microwave/ultrasound (MW/US)-assisted digestion were optimized using tryptophan as the model substance. The optimum conditions were: H2SO4 volume, 10 mL; H2O2 volume, 5 mL; weight of sample, 0.05 g; MW power, 500 W; US power, 50 W; digestion time, 7 min (i.e., 5 min mineralization and 2 min oxidation). A modification of the classical Kjeldahl (Hach) method and an US-assisted digestion method were used for comparison. The latter was also optimized; the optimum conditions were: H2SO4 volume, 10 mL; H2O2 volume, 5 mL; sonication time with H2SO4, 15 min; sonication time with H2O2,10 min; US power, 50 W; weight of sample, 0.05 g. Five pure amino acids and two certified reference materials (NIST standard reference materials 1547 (peach leaves), and soil, NCS DC 73322) were analyzed to assess the accuracy of our new MW/US-assisted digestion method, that was successfully applied to five real samples. The significant reduction in digestion time (being 30 min and 25 min for classical Kjeldahl and US-assisted digestion methods, respectively) and consumption of reagents show that simultaneous and direct MW/US irradiation is a powerful and promising tool for low-pressure digestion of solid and liquid samples.  相似文献

Investigation into newer routes of biodiesel synthesis is a key research area especially due to the fluctuations in the conventional fuel prices and the environmental advantages of biodiesel. The present work illustrates the use of sonochemical reactors for the synthesis of biodiesel from waste cooking oil. Transesterification of used frying oil with methanol, in the presence of potassium hydroxide as a catalyst has been investigated using low frequency ultrasonic reactor (20 kHz). Effect of different operating parameters such as alcohol–oil molar ratio, catalyst concentration, temperature, power, pulse and horn position on the extent of conversion of oil have been investigated. The optimum conditions for the transesterification process have been obtained as molar ratio of alcohol to oil as 6:1, catalyst concentration of 1 wt.%, temperature as 45 °C and ultrasound power as 200 W with an irradiation time of 40 min. The efficacy of using ultrasound has been compared with the conventional stirring approach based on the use of a six blade turbine with diameter of 1.5 cm operating at 1000 rpm. Also the purification aspects of the final product have been investigated.  相似文献

The effects of pulsed ultrasound (PUS) (power: 240 w) with varying time (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 min) on rheological and structural properties of chicken myofibrillar protein (CMP) were examined. PUS treatment significantly caused a decrease in the viscosity coefficients (k) but an increase in the flow index (n) value of CMP solutions within short time (0–6 min), while had no significant effect for longer time (9–15 min). Besides, at 6 min, the solubility and microstructure of CMP samples were optimum. The primary structure of CMP was not altered by PUS treatment. However, Raman spectroscopy revealed a decrease in the α-helix and β-sheets proportion and an increase in the β-turn of CMP following PUS treatment. Random coil reached a maximum at 6 min. The changes in tertiary and quaternary structure of CMP by PUS treatment also occurred. As PUS time extended, S0-ANS for CMP increased measured by ANS fluorescence probe method. However, the normalized intensity of 760 cm−1 increased from 0 min to 6 min, and then decreased to 15 min by Raman test. Moreover, the reactive sulphur (SH) contents and disulfide bonds (S-S) of samples increased while the total SH contents decreased within 0–6 min. At 9 min and above, the contents of reactive SH groups were almost equal to the contents of total SH groups. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of CMP showed that peak temperature (Td2) for myosin and peak temperature (Td3) for actin were both reduced in the first 6 min, while Td3 was not observed from 9 min following PUS treatment. Therefore, 6 min was the optimum PUS time to obtain better CMP rheological and structural properties.  相似文献

We have studied the crystallization time dependence of the epitaxial YBCO films (t = 0.8 μm) grown on CeO2-buffered SrTiO3 substrates by fluorine-free metal–organic deposition using uv-lamp irradiation (uv-MOD). As increasing the time (T0) for heat treatment at the reaction temperature (760 °C) from 0 to 90 min, Jc and the YBCO 0 0 l XRD intensity are steeply increased and reach their maximum values at T0 = 10 min. This suggests that the heat treatment required for YBCO crystallization is significantly shortened in uv-MOD compared to conventional all-pyrolytic F-free MOD processes, which consume T0 = 90–150 min for crystallizing 0.4–0.5-μm-thick films. Scanning electron microscope measurement revealed a drastic change in surface morphology between T0 = 8 and 10 min, showing a good correspondence to the Jc and XRD data which suggest that the epitaxial growth reaches the film surface at the very early stage in the heat treatment.  相似文献

Osmotic dehydration (OD) of carambola slices were carried out using glucose, sucrose, fructose and glycerol as osmotic agents with 70 °Bx solute concentration, 50 °C of temperature and for time of 180 min. Glycerol and sucrose were selected on the basis of their higher water loss, weight reduction and lowers solid gain. Further the optimization of OD of carambola slices (5 mm thick) were carried out under different process conditions of temperature (40–60 °C), concentration of sucrose and glycerol (50–70 °Bx), time (180 min) and fruit to solution ratio (1:10) against various responses viz. water loss, solid gain, texture, rehydration ratio and sensory score according to a composite design. The optimized value for temperature, concentration of sucrose and glycerol has been found to be 50 °C, 66 °Bx and 66 °Bx respectively. Under optimized conditions the effect of ultrasound for 10, 20, 30 min and centrifugal force (2800 rpm) for 15, 30, 45 and 60 min on OD of carambola slices were checked. The controlled samples showed 68.14% water loss and 13.05% solid gain in carambola slices. While, the sample having 30 min ultrasonic treatment showed 73.76% water loss and 9.79% solid gain; and the sample treated with centrifugal force for 60 min showed 75.65% water loss and 6.76% solid gain. The results showed that with increasing in treatment time the water loss, rehydration ratio were increased and solid gain, texture were decreased.  相似文献

We investigate the parasitic lasing effect in the high-power actively Q-switched laser with a flat–flat resonator. The parasitic lasing effect in the low-Q stage is found to lead to long tails in the output pulses, corresponding to the peak-power reduction. We experimentally determine the shortest cavity length without the parasitic lasing effect to optimize the performance of the high-power actively Q-switched laser with a flat–flat cavity. We further use the optimized fundamental laser to generate green and UV lasers by extra-cavity harmonic generations. At a pump power of 44 W, the output powers at 355 nm and 532 nm as high as 6.65 W and 8.38 W are obtained at a pulse repetition rate of 40 kHz.  相似文献

The recently discovered Parrondo's paradox claims that two losing games can result, under random or periodic alternation of their dynamics, in a winning game: “losing + losing = winning”. In this paper we follow Parrondo's philosophy of combining different dynamics and we apply it to the case of one-dimensional quadratic maps. We prove that the periodic mixing of two chaotic dynamics originates an ordered dynamics in certain cases. This provides an explicit example (theoretically and numerically tested) of a different Parrondian paradoxical phenomenon: “chaos + chaos = order”.  相似文献

The existence of thermoelectric currents (TECs) in workpieces during the laser welding of metals has been common knowledge for more than 15 years. However, the time-dependent evolutions of TECs in laser welding remain unclear. The present study developed a novel three-dimensional theoretical model of thermoelectric phenomena in the fiber laser welding of austenite stainless steel and used it to observe the time-dependent evolutions of TECs for the first time. Our model includes the complex physical effects of thermal, electromagnetic, fluid and phase transformation dynamics occurring at the millimeter laser ablated zone, which allowed us to simulate the TEC, self-induced magnetic field, Lorentz force, keyhole and weld pool behaviors varying with the welding time for different parameters. We found that TECs are truly three-dimensional, time-dependent, and uneven with a maximum current density of around 107 A/m2 located at the liquid-solid (L/S) interface near the front or bottom part of the keyhole at a laser power of 1.5 kW and a welding speed of 3 m/min. The TEC formed three-dimensional circulations moving from the melting front to solidification front in the solid part of workpiece, after which the contrary direction was followed in the liquid part. High frequency oscillation characteristics (2.2–8.5 kHz) were demonstrated in the TEC, which coincides with that of the keyhole instability (2.0–5.0 kHz). The magnitude of the self-induced magnetic field and Lorentz force can reach 0.1 mT and 1 kN/m3, respectively, which are both consistent with literature data. The predicted results of the weld dimensions by the proposed model agree well with the experimental results. Our findings could enhance the fundamental understanding of thermoelectric phenomena in laser welding.  相似文献

ObjectivesWe validate a 4D strategy tailored for 3 T clinical systems to simultaneously quantify function and infarct size in wild type mice after ischemia/reperfusion, with improved spatial and temporal resolution by comparison to previous published protocols using clinical field MRI systems.MethodsC57BL/6J mice underwent 60 min ischemia/reperfusion (n = 14) or were controls without surgery (n = 6). Twenty-four hours after surgery mice were imaged with gadolinium injection and sacrificed for post-mortem MRI and histology with serum also taken for Troponin I levels. The double ECG- and respiratory-triggered 3D FLASH (Fast Low Angle Shot) gradient echo (GRE) cine sequence had an acquired isotropic resolution of 344 μm, TR/TE of 7.8/2.9 ms and acquisition time 25–35 min. The conventional 2D FLASH cine sequence had the same in-plane resolution of 344 μm, 1 mm slice thickness and TR/TE 11/5.4 ms for an acquisition time of 20–25 min plus 5 min for planning. Left ventricle (LV) and right ventricle (RV) volumes were measured and functional parameters compared 2D to 3D, left to right and for inter and intra observer reproducibility. MRI infarct volume was compared to histology.ResultsFor the function evaluation, the 3D cine outperformed 2D cine for spatial and temporal resolution. Protocol time for the two methods was equivalent (25–35 min). Flow artifacts were reduced (p = 0.008) and epi/endo-cardial delineation showed good intra and interobserver reproducibility. Paired t-test comparing ejection volume left to right showed no significant difference for 3D (p = 0.37), nor 2D (p = 0.30) and correlation slopes of left to right EV were 1.17 (R2 = 0.75) for 2D and 1.05 (R2 = 0.50) for 3D.Quantifiable ‘late gadolinium enhancement’ infarct volume was seen only with the 3D cine and correlated to histology (R2 = 0.89). Left ejection fraction and MRI-measured infarct volume correlated (R2 > 0.3).ConclusionsThe 4D strategy, with contrast injection, was validated in mice for function and infarct quantification from a single scan with minimal slice planning.  相似文献

The present study was focused on the removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution by ultrasound-assisted adsorption onto the gold nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Au-NP-AC). This nanomaterial was characterized using different techniques such as SEM, XRD, and BET. The effects of variables such as pH, initial dye concentration, adsorbent dosage (g), temperature and sonication time (min) on MB removal were studied and using central composite design (CCD) and the optimum experimental conditions were found with desirability function (DF) combined response surface methodology (RSM). Fitting the experimental equilibrium data to various isotherm models such as Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich models show the suitability and applicability of the Langmuir model. Analysis of experimental adsorption data to various kinetic models such as pseudo-first and second order, Elovich and intraparticle diffusion models show the applicability of the second-order equation model. The small amount of proposed adsorbent (0.01 g) is applicable for successful removal of MB (RE > 95%) in short time (1.6 min) with high adsorption capacity (104–185 mg g−1).  相似文献

In this paper we analyse price fluctuations with the aim of measuring how long the market takes to adjust prices to weak-form efficiency, i.e., how long it takes for prices to adjust to a fractional Brownian motion with a Hurst exponent of 0.5. The Hurst exponent is estimated for different time horizons using detrended fluctuation analysis–a method suitable for non-stationary series with trends–in order to identify at which time scale the Hurst exponent is consistent with the efficient market hypothesis. Using high-frequency share price, exchange rate and stock data, we show how price dynamics exhibited important deviations from efficiency for time periods of up to 15 min; thereafter, price dynamics was consistent with a geometric Brownian motion. The intraday behaviour of the series also indicated that price dynamics at trade opening and close was hardly consistent with efficiency, which would enable investors to exploit price deviations from fundamental values. This result is consistent with intraday volume, volatility and transaction time duration patterns.  相似文献

An explicit finite-volume solver is proposed for numerical simulation of non-hydrostatic atmospheric dynamics with promise for efficiency on massively parallel machines via low communication needs and large time steps. Solving the governing equations with a single stage lowers communication, and using the method of characteristics to follow information as it propagates enables large time steps. Using a non-oscillatory interpolant, the method is stable without post-hoc filtering. Characteristic variables (built from interface flux vectors) are integrated upstream from interfaces along their trajectories to compute time-averaged fluxes over a time step. Thus we call this method a Flux-Based Characteristic Semi-Lagrangian (FBCSL) method. Multidimensionality is achieved via a second-order accurate Strang operator splitting. Spatial accuracy is achieved via the third- to fifth-order accurate Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory (WENO) interpolant. We implement the theory to form a 2-D non-hydrostatic compressible (Euler system) atmospheric model in which standard test cases confirm accuracy and stability. We maintain stability with time steps larger than CFL = 1 (CFL number determined by the acoustic wave speed, not advection) but note that accuracy degrades unacceptably for most cases with CFL > 2. For the smoothest test case, we ran out to CFL = 7 to investigate the error associated with simulation at large CFL number time steps. Analysis suggests improvement of trajectory computations will improve error for large CFL numbers.  相似文献

Ultrasound-assisted extraction was used for extraction of bioactive compounds and for production of Allium ursinum liquid extract. The experiments were carried out according to tree level, four variables, face-centered cubic experimental design (FDC) combined with response surface methodology (RSM). Temperature (from 40 to 80 °C), ethanol concentration (from 30% to 70%), extraction time (from 40 to 80 min) and ultrasonic power (from 19.2 to 38.4 W/L) were investigated as independent variables in order to obtain the optimal conditions for extraction and to maximize the yield of total phenols (TP), flavonoids (TF) and antioxidant activity of obtained extracts. Experimental results were fitted to the second order polynomial model where multiple regression and analysis of variance were used to determine the fitness of the model and optimal condition for investigated responses. The predicted values of the TP (1.60 g GAE/100 g DW), TF (0.35 g CE/100 g DW), antioxidant activity, IC50 (0.71 mg/ml) and EY (38.1%) were determined at the optimal conditions for ultrasound assisted extraction: 80 °C temperature, 70% ethanol, 79.8 min and 20.06 W/L ultrasonic power. The predicted results matched well with the experimental results obtained using optimal extraction conditions which validated the RSM model with a good correlation.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of high intensity ultrasound on the fermentation profile of Lactobacillus sakei in a meat model system. Ultrasound power level (0–68.5 W) and sonication time (0–9 min) at 20 °C were assessed against the growth of L. sakei using a Microplate reader over a period of 24 h. The L. sakei growth data showed a good fit with the Gompertz model (R2 > 0.90; SE < 0.042). Second order polynomial models demonstrated the effect of ultrasonic power and sonication time on the specific growth rate (SGR, μ, h−1) and lag phase (λ, h). A higher SGR and a shorter lag phase were observed at low power (2.99 W for 5 min) compared to control. Conversely, a decrease (p < 0.05) in SGR with an increase in lag phase was observed with an increase in ultrasonic power level. Cell-free extracts obtained after 24 h fermentation of ultrasound treated samples showed antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium at lower concentrations compared to control. No significant difference (p < 0.05) among treatments was observed for lactic acid content after a 24 h fermentation period. This study showed that both stimulation and retardation of L. sakei is possible, depending on the ultrasonic power and sonication time employed. Hence, fermentation process involving probiotics to develop functional food products can be tailored by selection of ultrasound processing parameters.  相似文献

The current work deals with understanding the fundamental aspects of intensified recovery of lactose from paneer (cottage cheese) whey using the anti-solvent induced sonocrystallization. Ultrasonic horn (22 kHz) with varying power levels over the range of 40–120 W has been used for initial experiments at 100% duty cycle and two different levels of ultrasonic exposure time as 10 min and 20 min. Similar experiments were also performed using ultrasonic bath for the same time of exposure but with at two ultrasonic frequencies (22 kHz and 33 kHz). It was observed that the lactose recovery as well as purity increased with an increase in ultrasonic power at 100% duty cycle for the case of treatment time as 10 min whereas the lactose recovery and purity increased only till an optimum power for the 20 min treatment. In the case of ultrasonic bath, lactose purity increased with an increase in the ultrasonic frequency from 22 kHz to 33 kHz though the lactose recovery marginally decreased. Overall, it was observed that the maximum lactose recovery was ∼98% obtained using ultrasonic horn while the maximum lactose purity was ∼97%. It was also observed that maximum lactose recovery was ∼94% for the case of ultrasonic bath while the maximum lactose purity was ∼92%. The work has enabled to understand the optimized application of ultrasound so as to maximize both the lactose yield and purity during the recovery from whey.  相似文献

To see improvements in the imaging performance near biomaterial implants we assessed a multispectral fully phase-encoded turbo spin-echo (ms3D-PE-TSE) sequence for artifact reduction capabilities and scan time efficiency in simulation and phantom experiments. For this purpose, ms3D-PE-TSE and ms3D-TSE sequences were implemented to obtain multispectral images (± 20 kHz) of a cobalt-chromium (CoCr) knee implant embedded in agarose. In addition, a knee implant computer model and the acquired ms3D-PE-TSE images were used to investigate the possibilities for scan time acceleration using field-of-view (FOV) reduction for off-resonance frequency bins and compressed sensing reconstructions of undersampled data. Both acceleration methods were combined to acquire a + 10 kHz frequency bin in a second experiment. The obtained ms3D-PE-TSE images showed no susceptibility related artifacts, while ms3D-TSE images suffered from hyper-intensity artifacts. The limitations of ms3D-TSE were apparent in the far off-resonance regions (±[10–20] kHz) located close to the implant. The scan time calculations showed that ms3D-PE-TSE can be applied in a clinically relevant timeframe (~ 12 min), when omitting the three central frequency bins. The feasibility of CS acceleration for ms3D-PE-TSE was demonstrated using retrospective reconstructions before combining CS and rFOV imaging to decrease the scan time for the + 10 kHz frequency bin from ~ 10.9 min to ~ 3.5 min, while also increasing the spatial resolution fourfold. The temporally resolved signal of ms3D-PE-TSE proved to be useful to decrease the intensity ripples after sum-of-squares reconstructions and increase the signal-to-noise ratio. The presented results suggest that the scan time limitations of ms3D-PE-TSE can be sufficiently addressed when focusing on signal acquisitions in the direct vicinity of metal implants. Because these regions cannot be measured with existing multispectral methods, the presented ms3D-PE-TSE method may enable the detection of inflammation or (pseudo-)tumors in locations close to the implant.  相似文献

Thermography for scientific research and practical purposes requires a series of procedures to obtain images that should be standardized; one of the most important is the time required for acclimatization in the controlled environment. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify the appropriate acclimatization time in rest to reach a thermal balance on young people skin. Forty-four subjects participated in the study, 18 men (22.3 ± 3.1 years) and 26 women (21.7 ± 2.5 years). Thermographic images were collected using a thermal imager (Fluke®), totaling 44 images over a period of 20 min. The skin temperature (TSK) was measured at the point of examination which included the 0 min, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. The body regions of interest (ROI) analyzed included the hands, forearms, arms, thighs, legs, chest and abdomen. We used the Friedman test with post hoc Dunn’s in order to establish the time at rest required to obtain a TSK balance and the Mann–Whitney test was used to compare age, BMI, body fat percentage and temperature variations between men and women, considering always a significance level of p < 0.05. Results showed that women had significantly higher temperature variations than men (p < 0.01) along the time. In men, only the body region of the abdomen obtained a significant variance (p < 0.05) on the analyzed period, both in the anterior and posterior part. In women, the anterior abdomen and thighs, and the posterior part of the hands, forearms and abdomen showed significant differences (p < 0.05). Based on our results, it can be concluded that the time in rest condition required reaching a TSK balance in young men and women is variable, but for whole body analysis it is recommended at least 10 min for both sexes.  相似文献

In this work, ultrasound-assisted adsorption of an anionic dye, sunset yellow (SY) and cationic dyes, malachite green (MG), methylene blue (MB) and their ternary dye solutions onto Cu@ Mn-ZnS-NPs-AC from water aqueous was optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) using the central composite design (CCD). The adsorbent was characterized using Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and EDX mapping images. The effects of various parameters such as pH, sonication time, adsorbent mass and initial concentrations of SY, MG and MB were examined. A total 33 experiments were conducted to establish a quadratic model. Cu@ Mn-ZnS-NPs-AC has the maximum adsorption efficiency (>99.5%) when the pH, sonication time, adsorbent mass and initial concentrations of SY, MG and MB were optimally set as 6.0, 5 min, 0.02 g, 9, 12 and 12 mg L−1, respectively. Sonication time has a statistically significant effect on the selected responses. Langmuir isotherm model was found to be best fitted to adsorption and adsorption capacities were 67.5 mg g−1 for SY, 74.6 mg g−1 for MG and 72.9 mg g−1 for MB. Four kinetic models (pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order, Weber–Morris intraparticle diffusion rate and Elovich) were tested to correlate the experimental data and the sorption was fitted well with the pseudo-second order kinetic model.  相似文献

High intensity ultrasonic (HUS, 20 k Hz, 400 W) pre-treatments of soybean protein isolate (SPI) improved the water holding capacity (WHC), gel strength and gel firmness (final elastic moduli) of glucono-δ-lactone induced SPI gels (GISG). Sonication time (0, 5, 20, and 40 min) had a significant effect on the above three properties. 20 min HUS-GISG had the highest WHC (95.53 ± 0.25%), gel strength (60.90 ± 2.87 g) and gel firmness (96340 Pa), compared with other samples. Moreover, SH groups and non-covalent interactions of GISG also changed after HUS pre-treatments. The HUS GISG had denser and more uniform microstructures than the untreated GISG. Rheological investments showed that the cooling step (reduce the temperature from 95 to 25 °C at a speed of 2 °C/min) was more important for the HUS GISG network formation while the heat preservation step (keep temperature at 95 for 20 min) was more important for the untreated GISG. HUS reduced the particle size of SPI and Pearson correlation test showed that the particle size of SPI dispersions was negatively correlated with WHC, gel strength and gel firmness.  相似文献
