介绍了一种基于声光可调谐滤波器(AOTF)的可调谐掺铒光纤激光器。从掺铒光纤放大器的速率方程和传输方程出发,推导出声光可调谐掺铒光纤激光器的输出公式,理论上解释了该环形腔声光可调谐掺铒光纤激光器调谐范围仅决定于掺铒光纤的增益带宽;并在实验中测得该激光器调谐范围为1 526.05 nm到1 560.63 nm,这个区间对应着实验所得掺铒光纤自发辐射谱的增益区间,从而验证了理论推导所得结论。  相似文献

We have designed and realized a compact external cavity semiconductor laser operating around 850 nm. The main characteristics are the following: a 32 nm tuning range, a stable single mode operation always attainable in this range and a linewidth of a few hundred kilohertz. This spectral purity improvement is the result of an increased photon lifetime in the external cavity. The potentiality of this solid state laser source is finally underlined.  相似文献

Materials in the transition metal dichalcogenide family, including WS_2, MoS_2, WSe_2, and MoSe_2, etc., have captured a substantial amount of attention due to their remarkable nonlinearities and optoelectronic properties.Compared with WS_2 and MoS_2, the monolayered MoTe_2 owns a smaller direct bandgap of 1.1 eV. It is beneficial for the applications in broadband absorption. In this letter, using the magnetron sputtering technique, MoTe_2 is deposited on the surface of the tapered fiber to be assembled into the saturable absorber. We first implement the MoTe_2-based Q-switched fiber laser operating at the wavelength of 1559 nm. The minimum pulse duration and signal-to-noise ratio are 677 ns and 63 dB, respectively. Moreover, the output power of 25 mW is impressive compared with previous work. We believe that MoTe_2 is a promising 2D material for ultrafast photonic devices in the high-power Q-switched fiber lasers.  相似文献

A broadly tunable dual-wavelength erbium-doped ring fiber laser based on a high-birefringence fiber loop mirror (HiBi-FLM) and a polarization controller is demonstrated experimentally. The measured transmission spectrum of HiBi-FLM covers a wide range from 1525 to 1575 nm. The wavelength of proposed laser can be flexibly tunable during this range of ∼50 nm by adjusting the polarization controller. In addition, the spacing of two wavelengths is adjustable by changing the length of HiBi fiber. The dual-wavelength lasers with the HiBi fiber length of 1 and 2 m are experimentally demonstrated and compared. The experimental results show that the proposed laser can stably operate on two wavelengths simultaneously at room temperature, and the output peak power variation is about 0.5 dB during 40 min.  相似文献

Tunable dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser with good stability is experimentally demonstrated. Output power of as high as +5.26 dBm is obtained in dual ring configuration. Both laser output can be tuned to as closed as 0.8 nm spacing between each other, with tuning range of 31.33 nm. The stability of both outputs was tested that results in less than ±0.8 dB and ±0.01 nm in power and wavelength fluctuation, respectively.  相似文献

We have demonstrated a tunable multiwavelength self-seeded Brillouin-erbium fiber laser (BEFL) without externally Brillouin pumping. In this scheme, the stable multiwavelength comb can be produced within a ∼45-nm wavelength tuning range through adjusting the polarization controllers (PCs) in a high-birefringent Sagnac loop mirror. The generation of ∼200-line Stokes comb has been achieved by adjusting PCs under bidirectional pumping of two laser diodes, which is the largest wavelength number to the best of our knowledge. The effect of 980 nm pump power on the multiwavelength generation was also investigated.  相似文献

We report a 100 nm widely tunable double-clad Ytterbium doped fiber laser. The fiber laser has a linear cavity configuration, where the feedback is provided by a Sagnac fiber mirror on one side, and an external bulk grating on the other side. On the bulk grating side, the fiber has a balled curved-core-termination that suppress backreflection by roughly 50 dB, and does not affect the pump coupling efficiency. The tuning range goes from 1055 nm through 1155 nm, with a maximum output power of 360 mW at 1080 nm, and 0.3 nm linewidth.  相似文献

短线腔掺铒光纤激光器由环形器(OC)、自制的Bi3+Ga3+Al3+共掺高浓度掺铒光纤(BiGaAl-EDF)、均匀光纤布拉格光栅(UFBG)和波分复用器(WDM)组成。以OC作为全反射腔镜,UFBG为波长选择性部分反射腔镜,利用1 530 nm处吸收系数为84.253 dB/m 的BiGaAl-EDF为增益介质,室温下获得了中心波长为1 544.31 nm、边模抑制比(SMSR)大于55 dB的激光输出。分析了BiGaAl-EDF长度对激光器输出特性的影响。结果表明:采用12 cm长的光纤实现了短线腔的窄线宽激光输出,在25 cm长度下,该激光器具有最小的起振阈值和最大的输出功率。测试表明,该短线腔激光器具有线性输出特性,并且其中心波长和输出功率不随时间的变化而发生漂移。  相似文献

A simple switchable and tunable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber ring laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) effect is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The NPR effect effectively induces wavelength- and intensity-dependent loss to readily implement stable dual-wavelength passively mode-locked operation. The wavelength switching and tuning of the dual-wavelength ultrashort pulse laser are achieved only by appropriately rotating the polarization controllers. The side-mode suppression ratio of the output pulse is larger than 41 dB over a wavelength-tuning range of 43.4 nm. Moreover, triple-wavelength ultrashort pulse can also be observed.  相似文献

Development of a continuous-wave tunable fiber laser-based spectrometer for applied spectroscopy is reported. Wide wavelength tunability of an erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) was investigated in the near-infrared region of 1543–1601 nm. Continuous mode-hop free fine frequency tuning has been accomplished by temperature tuning in conjunction with mechanical tuning. The overall spectroscopic performance of the EDFL was evaluated in terms of frequency tunability along with its suitability for molecular spectroscopy. High-resolution absorption spectra of acetylene (C2H2) were recorded near 1544 nm with a minimum measurable absorption coefficient of about 3.5×10-7 cm-1/Hz1/2 for direct absorption spectroscopy associated with a 100-m long multipass cell. Detections of C2H2 at different concentration levels were performed as well with high dynamic detection range varying from 100% purity to sub ppmv using cavity ring down spectroscopy. A 3σ-detection-limited minimum detectable concentration (MDC) of 400 ppbv has been obtained by using the transition line Pe(22) of the ν135 1g)-ν5 1u) hot band near 1543.92 nm with a detection bandwidth of 2.3 Hz. This corresponds to a minimum detectable absorption coefficient of 6.6×10-11 cm-1/Hz1/2. The sensitivity limit could be further improved by almost one order of magnitude (down to ∼60 ppbv) by use of the Pe(27) line of the ν13u +)-0(Σg +)combination band near 1543.68 nm. We present pulsed laser operation in a Nd-doped, Y3Al5O12-based silica fiber. The fiber was fabricated using the rod-in-tube technique with a Nd:YAG crystal rod as the core material and a silica tube for the cladding material. A spectroscopy study revealed that the core region had become amorphous in the process of fiber drawing. Q-switched pulsed laser operation was realized at a wavelength of 1058 nm when the fiber was cladding pumped at a wavelength of 808 nm. The laser delivered 38 μJ of energy in 65 ns pulses. The extracted energy was limited due to the multimodal operation of the fiber. Laser slope efficiency in continuous wave operation reached 52%. The spectroscopic properties of the fabricated fiber are discussed and compared to a Nd:YAG crystal and a Nd:Al-doped silica fiber.  相似文献

A 40-GHz wavelength tunable mode-locked fiber ring laser based on cross-gain modulation in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is presented. Pulse trains with a pulse width of 10.5 ps at 40-GHz repetition frequency are obtained. The laser operates with almost 40-nm tuning range. The relationship between the key laser parameters and the output pulse characteristics is analyzed experimentally.  相似文献

20 mol% erbia stabilized bismuth oxide (ESB) in the cubic fluorite structure is one of the highest oxygen ion conductors known. On annealing at temperatures below the transition temperature (∼600 °C), a fast continuous decay in oxygen ion conductivity occurs which has been attributed to the occupational and positional ordering on the oxygen ion sublattice. The reverse transition is characterized by the enthalpy required to disorder the ordered lattice. This study looked into the effect of direct current bias on the ordering kinetics of ESB solid electrolytes using symmetrical cells consisting of Ag–ESB cermet electrodes. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies showed that on isothermal annealing at 500 °C, the current bias does not have a significant effect on the conductivity decay, though the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies showed that under bias the endotherm related with the reverse transition appeared at shorter annealing time periods. Ag–ESB electrodes showed good performance, though were unstable at 625 °C under higher bias currents due to the Ag electromigration along with the oxygen flux.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the influence of pump power on the tuning characteristics of a filterless erbium-doped fiber laser, operating in the L band. Tunable action is achieved with the control of intra cavity loss. The explicit dependence of tunability on the average inversion levels is brought out. The shift in the lower limit of tuning range and the non-linear dependence of lasing wavelength on the intra cavity loss are analytically deduced using the gain spectra and experimentally interpreted using amplified spontaneous emission spectra. Gain-guided diode lasers usually have emission wavelengths determined by the manufacturing process, with typically 0.5-1-nm bandwidth. Furthermore, their beam quality is rather poor. We show that external cavities allow for tunable narrow-bandwidth operation of gain-guided diode lasers. At the same time the beam quality is drastically improved; almost diffraction-limited light of more than 200 mW has been achieved over the whole tuning range from 910 to 942 nm with narrow bandwidth.  相似文献

A 50 nm tuning range multiwavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser (MWBEFL) with double Brillouin frequency spacing is presented. Two separated gain blocks with symmetrical architecture, consisted by erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) and Brillouin gain media, are used to generate double Brillouin frequency spacing. The wider tuning range is realized by eliminating the self-lasing cavity modes existing in conventional MWBEFLs because of the absence of the physical mirrors at the ends of the linear cavity. The Brillouin pump (BP) is preamplified by the EDFA before entering the single-mode fiber (SMF), which leads to the reduction of threshold power and the generation enhancement of Brillouin Stokes (BS) signals. Four channels with 0.176 nm spacing are achieved at 2 mW BP power and 280 mW 980 nm pump power which can be tuned from 1525 to 1575 nm.  相似文献
