The low-frequency process of dielectric relaxation in the new lead-free compound BiLi0.6W0.4O3 prepared by conventional ceramic technology is studied. The features of dielectric relaxation are discussed in terms of a model of interaction between the domain boundaries and point defects of a crystalline lattice.  相似文献

BaTi0.6Zr0.4O3 (BTZ) ceramic was synthesized by a soft chemical route. X-ray diffraction at room temperature shows that the sample has cubic perovskite structure with space group Pm-3m. Temperature dependent dielectric study of the sample has been investigated in the frequency range from 50 Hz to 1 MHz. The density of the sample was determined using Archimedes’ principle and found to be ∼ 97% of the X-ray density. The average grain size in the pallet was found to be ∼ 1 μm. The dielectric constant peaks at temperature Tm which is dependent on the frequency. The dielectric relaxation rate follows the Vogel–Fulcher relation with activation energy = 0.0185 eV, and freezing temperature = 186 K. The structure of an LiNi0.4Fe0.6O2 cubic solid solution is determined using magnetic measurements and electron diffraction. It is found that this solid solution has a microinhomogeneous structure due to the formation of superparamagnetic clusters. The electron diffraction analysis of LiNi0.4Fe0.6O2 samples has revealed diffuse scattering characteristic of the substitutional short-range order in ordered solid solutions with a B1-type structure. It is shown that the short-range order is associated with the LiNiO2-type rhombohedral superstructure (space group \(R\bar 3m\)), i.e., with the redistribution of lithium and nickel atoms in the (111)B1 alternating planes. The short-range order is observed in regions with a nickel content higher than the mean nickel content corresponding to the macroscopic composition.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples of SrFe2/3W1/3O3 (SFWO) ceramic were obtained by solid-phase reactions with subsequent sintering using conventional ceramic technology. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that at room temperature, the SFWO ceramic is single-phase and has a perovskite-type structure with tetragonal symmetry and parameters a = 3.941(9) Å, c = 3.955(6) Å, and c/a = 1.0035. In studying the magnetic properties and the Mössbauer effect in SFWO ceramics, it is found that the material is a ferrimagnet, and the iron ions are only in the valence state of Fe3+. It is suggested that in the temperature range of T = 150–210°C, a smeared phase transition from a cubic (paraelectric) phase to a tetragonal (ferroelectric) phase takes place in SFWO with decreasing temperature.  相似文献

The results of investigations of the magnetization, susceptibility, and magnetic-field-induced changes in the entropy of polycrystalline manganite (La0.6Ca0.4)0.9Mn1.1O3 near the magnetic phase transition have been presented. Magnetic measurements have been carried out at temperatures in the range from 210 to 310 K in magnetic fields of up to 9 T. The magnetocaloric effect has been revealed by measuring the magnetic-field dependences of magnetization. The magnitude of the magnetocaloric effect is compared with similar results obtained for other manganites.  相似文献

Using different temperature and field protocols, the memory behaviors in the dc magnetization and magnetic relaxation are observed at temperature below blocking temperature TB = 93 K in weakly interacting manganite La0.6Pb0.4MnO3 nanoparticles. The results indicate that the magnetic dynamics of this nanoparticle system is strongly correlated with a wide distribution of particle relaxation times, which may arise from the particle weak interaction and distribution of the particle size.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity of Na2W2O7 single crystal has been studied along the main crystallographic directions at temperatures of 50–573 K. A low thermal conductivity is found to correlate with a significant difference in the cation weight.  相似文献

Polycrystalline (Na0.5Sb0.5)TiO3 was prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction method. An XRD analysis indicated the formation of a single-phase monoclinic structure. Complex impedance studies revealed the presence of grain boundary effects from 300 °C onwards. Also, the dielectric relaxation in the system was found to be of a non-Debye type. The ac conductivity data were used to evaluate the density of states at the Fermi level, the minimum hopping length and activation energy of the compound. The dc electrical and thermal conductivities of grain and grain boundary have been assessed. Electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements have been performed on polycrystalline samples of Pr0.6Ca0.4Mn1-xRuxO3 (x = 0, 0.1). The substitution of Ru in the Mn-site strengthens ferromagnetic interactions due to the double exchange between the Mn3+ and Mn4+ species and super-exchange between the Ru5+ and Mn3+ species. The temperature dependence of the ESR spectra indicates development of magnetic phase separation in Pr0.6Ca0.4Mn0.9Ru0.1O3 in contrast with the un-doped sample.  相似文献

The ferroelectric-antiferroelectric phase transition in the Li0.12Na0.88Ta0.4Nb0.6O3 ceramic solid solution has been studied by the Raman scattering technique. As the temperature approached the transition point from below, we observed an appreciable broadening of the lines associated with the vibrations of the cations occupying octahedral and cubooctahedral cavities of the structure and with the oxygen network vibrations (which implies a substantial increase in disorder on the cation sublattices), as well as a decrease to zero intensity of the 875-cm?1 line corresponding to stretch vibrations of the bridging oxygen in the BO6 octahedral anion in the vicinity of the transition. The temperature dependence of the 875-cm?1 line intensity near the transition was used to study the behavior of the phase transition order parameter η. The behavior of η was found to disagree markedly with the Landau theory of second-order phase transitions. It is shown that discrepancies originate from the increase in disorder in the niobium and tantalum sublattices in the Li0.12Na0.88Ta y Nb1-y O3 solid solution system with increasing y. The order of the transition is lowered.  相似文献

Based on Landau-Devonshire (LD)-type phenomenological thermodynamic theory, the electric field dependence of the dielectric properties of tetragonal single-domain barium strontium titanate(Ba1-xSrxTiO3) films on cubic substrates is theoretically investigated by taking into account the high order terms of the polarization. At room temperature, the nonlinear dielectric responses of epitaxial Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 films are provided by adjusting the film thickness and growth temperature. The strong nonlinearity of relative dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient are attained around critical film thickness on MgO (69 nm) and LaAlO3 (132 nm) substrates or critical growth temperature on MgO (337 °C) substrate with respect to epitaxy-induced lattice misfit and thermal stresses during deposition. This can be explained that small compressive stresses are effective to support high nonlinearity of dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient for Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 films irrespective of whether they are on compressive substrate or tensile substrate. It is also predicted that a large tunability may be achieved by altering processing conditions, such as the film thickness and growth temperature for different substrates. Our theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data reported in literature.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of the magnetite Fe3O4(110) surface have been studied by spin resolved Auger electron spectroscopy (SRAES). Experimental spin resolved Auger spectra are presented. The results of calculation of Auger lines polarization carried out on the basis of electronic state density are presented. Problems related to magnetic moments of bivalent (Fe2+) and trivalent (Fe3+) ions on the Fe3O4(110) surface are discussed. It is established that the deposition of a thin bismuth film on the surface results in significant growth of polarization of iron Auger peaks, which is due to additional spin-orbit scattering of electrons by bismuth atoms.  相似文献

We report the experimental observation of random wavelength emission and intensity-dependent central-wavelength shift in a diode-pumped Yb3+-doped Y2O3 ceramic laser. We show experimentally that, like conventional lasers, the emission of the laser has fixed well-defined transverse modes; however, its instantaneous emission wavelengths change randomly with time. The central wavelength of the laser emission also shifts with the intracavity light intensity. A model was developed to describe the spectral behavior of Yb3+-doped lasers. We show that the observed random wavelength emission and central lasing wavelength shift of the laser could be well explained based on the strong reabsorption of light in the gain medium. In this study, FeNi3/Al2O3 core-shell nanocomposites, where individual FeNi3 nanoparticles were coated with a thin layer of alumina, were fabricated by a modified sol-gel method. Several physical characterizations were performed on the samples of FeNi3/Al2O3 nanocomposites with different thickness of Al2O3 shell. The encapsulation of FeNi3 nanoparticles with alumina stops FeNi3 agglomeration during heat treatment, and prevents interaction among the closely spaced magnetic FeNi3 nanoparticles. The Al2O3 insulating shell improves the soft magnetic properties of FeNi3. The study of the complex permeability of the samples shows that the real part μ’ of the permeability of the sample with Al molar content of 20% (Al/(Fe+Ni)) is as high as 12, and independent of frequency up to at least 1 GHz. The tunneling magnetoresistance arising from the presence of the Al2O3 shell have also been studied.  相似文献

The correlation between temperature treatment conditions and the ratio of components in nanostructured fibrous powders with a composition of ZrO2-Y2O3-Al2O3 and their porous crystal structure and physicochemical properties is studied. The dependences of the ratio between zirconia tetragonal and monoclynic phases on the treatment temperature and the alumina content are found to have a nonmonotonic character. The growth of zirconia crystallite size is suppressed by introduced nanocrystalline alumina in a temperature range of 600–1200°C, which is caused by the processes of ternary solid solution formation. The bulk and picnometric density values of materials are proportional to the temperature of heat treatment. The temperature dependence of the specific surface and the size of oxide grain particles has an inversely proportional character. With increasing alumina content in the powders, the specific surface increases, while the picnometric and bulk densities decrease.  相似文献

We have studied the transmission of bulk Al2O3 ceramic used as heat shields for the working chamber of a turbine. We have established that radiation scattered from such an object has a pronounced speckle structure, while the scattering indicatrix is the same as the indicatrix for an ideal scatterer. We show that existing highpower semiconductor laser sources make it possible to penetrate sufficiently deeply into such materials, and the small transmission coefficient is not the limiting factor for development of optical methods for inspecting the quality of ceramic shielding blocks. __________ Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 74, No. 2, pp. 237–240, March–April, 2007.  相似文献

AC impedance spectroscopy technique has been used to study electrical properties of Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 (BLT) ceramic. Complex impedance plots were fitted with three depressed semicircles, which are attributed to crystalline layer, plate boundary and grain boundary and all three were found to comprise of universal capacitance nature [C = C0w n−1]. Grain boundary resistance and capacitance evaluated from complex impedance plots have larger values than that of plate boundary and crystalline layer. The activation energies (E a) for DC-conductance in grain boundary, plate boundary and crystalline layer are 0.68 eV, 0.89 eV and 0.89 eV, respectively. Relaxation activation energies calculated from impedance plots showed similar values, 0.81 eV and 0.80 eV for crystalline layer and plate boundary, respectively. These activation energy values are found to be consistent with the E a value of oxygen vacancies in perovskite materials. A mechanism is offered to explain the generation of oxygen vacancies in BLT ceramic and its role in temperature dependence of DC-conductance study.   相似文献

Emission spectra of three Cd0.6Mn0.4Te/Cd0.5Mg0.5Te superlattices with Cd0.6Mn0.4Te quantum-well (QW) widths of 7, 13, and 26 monolayers, respectively, and the same thickness (46 monolayers) of the Cd0.5Mg0.5Te barriers have been studied. The QW width affects the shape and spectral position of the Mn2+ intracenter luminescence (IL) band as a result of the crystal field being dependent on the position of the manganese ion with respect to the interface. Measured in identical experimental conditions, the exciton luminescence as compared to the IL is substantially higher in intensity in a QW than in a bulk CdMnTe crystal. Some samples of superlattices and bulk crystals exhibit, in addition to the conventional IL band near 2.0 eV, a weaker band at about 1.45 eV. This band apparently derives from intracenter transitions in the Mn2+ ions in the regions where the crystal lattice has the rock-salt rather than the conventional zinc blende structure.  相似文献
