基于一阶剪切变形板理论,推导了功能梯度材料圆形板在边界面内均布压力作用下的轴对称屈曲方程。在推导过程中,忽略了前屈曲耦合变形。利用一阶板理论与经典板理论屈曲方程之间在数学形式上的相似性,得到了一阶板理论下功能梯度材料圆板与经典板理论下均匀圆板临界屈曲载荷之间的解析关系。利用这个解析关系,可以直接从已有的较为简单的经典理论的结果,获得一阶板理论下功能梯度材料板的临界屈曲载荷。  相似文献

Summary This study presents exact relationships between the deflections of isotropic sandwich plates and their corresponding Kirchhoff plates. The governing equilibrium equations for the sandwich plates are derived on the basis of the Reissner-Mindlin shear deformation plate theory. The considered plates are either (i) simply supported, of general polygonal shape and under any transverse loading condition or (ii) simply supported and clamped circular plates under axisymmetric loading. As the relationships are exact under the assumptions used in the plate theories, one may obtain exact deflection solutions of sandwich plates if the Kirchhoff plate solutions are exact. The relationships should also be useful for the development of approximate formulas for plates with other shapes, boundary and loading conditions, and may serve to check numerical deflection values computed from sandwich plate analysis software.  相似文献

In this study, we consider the problem of nonlinearly tapered annular plate with a free edge. The supported edge may be simply supported, clamped or elastically restrained against rotation. Exact expressions of deflection, moment-resultants, and stresses are presented for nonuniform thickness. We compare the results of the Kirchhoff plate theory and the Mindlin plate theory. It is shown that the Kirchhoff plate theory and the Mindlin plate theory provide approximately the same results for the positive values of the thickness factor, but the difference between the deflections diverges as the thickness increases at the inner edge. We also propose that the Kirchhoff plate theory may be used in the region of −0.4 ≤ α < 1 and the Mindlin plate theory must be used for α < −0.4.  相似文献

In the first part (Lebée and Sab, 2010a) of this two-part paper we have presented a new plate theory for out-of-plane loaded thick plates where the static unknowns are those of the Kirchhoff–Love theory (3 in-plane stresses and 3 bending moments), to which six components are added representing the gradient of the bending moment. The new theory, called Bending-Gradient plate theory is an extension to arbitrarily layered plates of the Reissner–Mindlin plate theory which appears as a special case when the plate is homogeneous. Moreover, we demonstrated that, in the general case, the Bending-Gradient model cannot be reduced to a Reissner–Mindlin model. In this paper, the Bending-Gradient theory is applied to laminated plates and its predictions are compared to those of Reissner–Mindlin theory and to full 3D (Pagano, 1969) exact solutions. The main conclusion is that the Bending-Gradient gives good predictions of deflection, shear stress distributions and in-plane displacement distributions in any material configuration. Moreover, under some symmetry conditions, the Bending-Gradient model coincides with the second-order approximation of the exact solution as the slenderness ratio L/h goes to infinity.  相似文献

This work presents the highly accurate numerical calculation of the natural frequencies and buckling loads for thick elastic rectangular plates with various combinations of boundary conditions. The Reissener–Mindlin first order shear deformation plate theory and the higher order shear deformation plate theory of Reddy have been applied to the plate’s analysis. The governing equations and the boundary conditions are derived using the dynamic version of the principle of minimum of the total energy. The solution is obtained by the extended Kantorovich method. This approach is combined with the exact element method for the vibration and stability analysis of compressed members, which provides for the derivation of the exact dynamic stiffness matrix including the effect of in-plane and inertia forces. The large number of numerical examples demonstrates the applicability and versatility of the present method. The results obtained by both shear deformation theories are compared with those obtained by the classical thin plate’s theory and with published results. Many new results are given too.  相似文献

The bending response for exponentially graded composite (EGC) sandwich plates is investigated.The three-layer elastic/viscoelastic/elastic sandwich plate is studied by using the sinusoidal shear deformation plate theory as well as other familiar theories.Four types of sandwich plates are considered taking into account the symmetry of the plate and the thickness of each layer.The effective moduli and Illyushin’s approximation methods are used to solve the equations governing the bending of simply-supported EGC fiber-reinforced viscoelastic sandwich plates.Then numerical results for deflections and stresses are presented and the effects due to time parameter,aspect ratio,side-to-thickness ratio and constitutive parameter are investigated.  相似文献

This study is concerned with the elastic bending problem of a class of annular sectorial plates whose radial edges are simply supported. Exact bending relationships between the Mindlin plate results and the corresponding Kirchhoff plate solutions have been derived based on the concept of load equivalence. These bending relationships facilitate the deduction of thick (Mindlin) plate results from the corresponding classical thin (Kirchhoff) plate solutions, thus bypassing the need to solve the more complicated governing equations of thick plates. The correctness of the relationships is established by solving the bending problem of annular sectorial plates under a uniformly distributed load and comparing the results with existing thick plate solutions.  相似文献

A simple isoparametric finite element formulation based on a higher-order displacement model for flexure analysis of multilayer symmetric sandwich plates is presented. The assumed displacement model accounts for non-linear variation of inplane displacements and constant variation of transverse displacement through the plate thickness. Further, the present formulation does not require the fictitious shear correction coefficient(s) generally associated with the first-order shear deformable theories. Two sandwich plate theories are developed: one in which the free shear stress conditions on the top and bottom bounding planes are imposed and another, in which such conditions are not imposed. The validity of the present development(s) is established through, numerical evaluations for deflections/stresses/stress-resultants and their comparisons with the available three-dimensional analyses/closed-form/other finite element solutions. Comparison of results from thin plate. Mindlin and present analyses with the exact three-dimensional analyses yields some important conclusions regarding the effects of the assumptions made in the CPT and Mindlin type theories. The comparative study further establishes the necessity of a higher-order shear deformable theory incorporating warping of the cross-section particularly for sandwich plates.  相似文献

基于应变梯度理论建立了单层石墨烯等效明德林(Mindlin) 板动力学方程,推导了四边简支明德林中厚板自由振动固有频率的解析解. 提出了一种考虑应变梯度的4 节点36 自由度明德林板单元,利用虚功原理建立了单层石墨烯的等效非局部板有限元模型. 通过对石墨烯振动问题的研究,验证了应变梯度有限元计算结果的收敛性. 运用该有限元法研究了尺寸、振动模态阶数以及非局部参数对石墨烯振动特性的影响. 研究表明,这种单元能够较好地适用于研究考虑复杂边界条件石墨烯的尺度效应问题. 基于应变梯度理论的明德林板所获得石墨烯的固有频率小于基于经典明德林板理论得到的结果. 尺寸较小、模态阶数较高的石墨烯振动尺度效应更加明显. 无论采用应变梯度理论还是经典弹性本构关系,考虑一阶剪切变形的明德林板模型预测的固有频率低于基尔霍夫(Kirchho) 板所预测的固有频率.   相似文献

A two-dimensional solution is presented for bending analysis of simply supported functionally graded ceramic–metal sandwich plates. The sandwich plate faces are assumed to have isotropic, two-constituent material distribution through the thickness, and the modulus of elasticity and Poisson’s ratio of the faces are assumed to vary according to a power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The core layer is still homogeneous and made of an isotropic ceramic material. Several kinds of sandwich plates are used taking into account the symmetry of the plate and the thickness of each layer. We derive field equations for functionally graded sandwich plates whose deformations are governed by either the shear deformation theories or the classical theory. Displacement functions that identically satisfy boundary conditions are used to reduce the governing equations to a set of coupled ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients. Numerical results of the sinusoidal, third-order, first-order and classical theories are presented to show the effect of material distribution on the deflections and stresses.  相似文献

Stability characteristics of composite skew plates subjected to in-plane compressive load are investigated here using the shear deformable finite element approach. The influences of high prebuckling stresses at the corner regions of isotropic and composite skew plates on their stability characteristics are emphasized for different load direction, boundary condition and laminate stacking sequence. The non-linear governing equations based on von Kármán's assumptions are solved by Newton-Raphson technique to get the hitherto unreported postbuckling equilibrium paths of composite skew plates loaded between two rigid flat platens. The variation of out-of-plane deformation and end-shortening with compressive in-plane load are examined for simply supported and clamped skew plates made of isotropic, symmetric and unsymmetric laminates. Marguerre's shallow shell theory is employed to study the effect of sinusoidal imperfection on the non-linear behavior of composite skew plates.  相似文献

The governing equation of motion of gradient elastic flexural Kirchhoff plates, including the effect of in-plane constant forces on bending, is explicitly derived. This is accomplished by appropriately combining the equations of flexural motion in terms of moments, shear and in-plane forces, the moment–stress relations and the stress–strain equations of a simple strain gradient elastic theory with just one constant (the internal length squared), in addition to the two classical elastic moduli. The resulting partial differential equation in terms of the lateral deflection of the plate is of the sixth order instead of the fourth, which is the case for the classical elastic case. Three boundary value problems dealing with static, stability and dynamic analysis of a rectangular simply supported all-around gradient elastic flexural plate are solved analytically. Non-classical boundary conditions, in additional to the classical ones, have to be utilized. An assessment of the effect of the gradient coefficient on the static or dynamic response of the plate, its buckling load and natural frequencies is also made by comparing the gradient type of solutions against the classical ones.  相似文献

In this paper a general solution for the analysis of shear deformable stiffened plates subjected to arbitrary loading is presented. According to the proposed model, the arbitrarily placed parallel stiffening beams of arbitrary doubly symmetric cross section are isolated from the plate by sections in the lower outer surface of the plate, taking into account the arising tractions in all directions at the fictitious interfaces. These tractions are integrated with respect to each half of the interface width resulting two interface lines, along which the loading of the beams as well as the additional loading of the plate is defined. Their unknown distribution is established by applying continuity conditions in all directions at the interfaces. The utilization of two interface lines for each beam enables the nonuniform distribution of the interface transverse shear forces and the nonuniform torsional response of the beams to be taken into account. The analysis of both the plate and the beams is accomplished on their deformed shape taking into account second-order effects. The analysis of the plate is based on Reissner’s theory, which may be considered as the standard thick plate theory with which all others are compared, while the analysis of the beams is performed employing the linearized second order theory taking into account shear deformation effect. Six boundary value problems are formulated and solved using the analog equation method (AEM), a BEM based method. The solution of the aforementioned plate and beam problems, which are nonlinearly coupled, is achieved using iterative numerical methods. The adopted model permits the evaluation of the shear forces at the interfaces in both directions, the knowledge of which is very important in the design of prefabricated ribbed plates. The effectiveness, the range of applications of the proposed method and the influence of shear deformation effect are illustrated by working out numerical examples with great practical interest.  相似文献

Based on Mindlin plate models and Kirchhoff plate models,this study was concerned with the wave propagation characteristics in thick conventional and auxetic cellular structures,with the objective to clarify the effects of negative Poisson's ratio,shear factor and orthotropic mechanical properties on the dynamic behaviors of thick plates.Numerical results revealed that the predictions using variable shear factor in Mindlin plate models resulted in high wave frequencies,which were more significant for plates with negative values of Poisson's ratio.The present study can be useful for the design of critical applications by varying the values of Poisson's ratio.  相似文献
