The effect of tetravalent Ti+4 substitution in Mg0.95Mn0.05Fe2O4 on its magnetic and electrical properties has been studied using X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy, isothermal dc magnetization and dielectric measurements. X-ray diffraction studies have shown the structural transformation from cubic to tetragonal with the Ti+4 substitution. The Mössbauer spectra of Mg0.95Mn0.05Fe1.0Ti1.0O4 recorded in the temperature range 20-300 K shows the presence of the magnetic as well as quadrupole interactions. The isothermal hysteresis loop infers that the system exhibits a ferrimagnetic ordering at room temperature. The Zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) magnetization studies support ferrimagnetic ordering of Mg0.95Mn0.05Fe1.0Ti1.0O4 at room temperature. Signatures of ferroelectric transition have been observed in the temperature range 200-300 K from dielectric measurements. The observed magnetic and dielectric behaviour indicate that this material exhibits multiferroic behaviour.  相似文献

M?ssbauer and magnetic measurements have been carried out both on single crystals and polycrystalline samples of BaZn2Fe16O27 (Zn2-W) hexagonal ferrite. The saturation magnetization at 0 K and at room temperature turns out to be very high, that is, 123 and 79 Gauss·cm3/g, respectively. The results have been interpreted by assuming a local reversal or a weakening of the Fe3+ magnetic moments due to the perturbing action of Zn2+ ions. The magnetic anisotropy is confirmed to be uniaxial with an anisotropy field at room temperature of 12.500 Oe.  相似文献

The magnetocaloric properties of the Gd 5 Ge 2.025 Si 1.925 In 0.05 compound have been studied by x-ray diffraction,magnetic and heat capacity measurements.Powder x-ray diffraction measurement shows that the compound has a dominant phase of monoclinic Gd5Ge2Si2-type structure and a small quantity of Gd 5(Ge,Si) 3-type phase at room temperature.At about 270 K,this compound shows a first order phase transition.The isothermal magnetic entropy change(△SM) is calculated from the temperature and magnetic field dependences of the magnetization and the temperature dependence of MCE in terms of adiabatic temperature change(△Tad) is calculated from the isothermal magnetic entropy change and the temperature variation in zero-field heat-capacity data.The maximum S M is 13.6 J·kg-1·K-1 and maximum △Tad is 13 K for the magnetic field change of 0-5 T.The Debye temperature(θD) of this compound is 149 K and the value of DOS at the Fermi level is 1.6 states/eV·atom from the low temperature zero-field heat-capacity data.A considerable isothermal magnetic entropy change and adiabatic temperature change under a field change of 0-5 T jointly make the Gd5Ge2.025Si1.925 In 0.05 compound an attractive candidate for a magnetic refrigerant.  相似文献

Neutron diffraction study has been performed on the Tb5Sb3 and Tb5Si1.5Sb1.5 compounds (hexagonal Mn5Si3-type, hP16, P63/mcm) to understand their magnetic structures. The temperature dependence of neutron diffraction results proves that these intermetallics show a complex magnetic ordering. The Tb5Sb3 presents five subsequent changes in magnetic structure at ∼150, 119, 85, 70 and 54 K on cooling: paramagnet→antiferromagnetic flat spiral→ferromagnetic cone→antiferromagnetically canted ferromagnetic cone→canted AF→sine modulated AF. The Tb5Si1.5Sb1.5 shows two subsequent changes in magnetic structure at 123 and 66 K: paramagnet→sine modulated antiferromagnet I→sine modulated antiferromagnet II. The Tb5Si3, Tb5Sb3 and Tb5Si1.5Sb1.5 have the different magnetic structure in the full temperature range.  相似文献

Nd1.67Sr0.33NiO4 polycrystals have been prepared by modified sol–gel method and subsequent annealing. X-ray diffraction analysis, electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and thermal magnetisation have been measured. Rietveld analyses show a tetragonal or pseudo-tetragonal K2NiF4-type structure. The resistivity measurements present a change in conduction mode close to 230 K, which corresponds to the charge ordering temperature. Below this temperature, the material adopts a variable range hopping conduction mode; and above, the conduction follows adiabatic thermal activated mode. The magnetic measurements show paramagnetic behaviour in the range of 80–300 K. Moreover, the magnetic susceptibility data show a sign of the charge ordering transition about 230 K.  相似文献

Static magnetic measurements have been carried out on single crystals of Er2Fe14B and Tm2Fe14B in a temperature range between 77 and 590 K. Spin reorientation phenomena have been found in both compounds slightly above room temperature. In Er2Fe14B, the easy direction of magnetization changes from [100] to [001] at 316 K as temperature increases, and Tm2Fe14B from [100] to [001] at 310 K. Anomalously large anisotropy in the saturation magnetization has been detected around the spin reorientation temperature.  相似文献

The neptunium based Chevrel phases Np1.0Mo6Se8 have been synthesized and their magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity have been measured from 3 K to room temperature. These compounds are superconductors with a critical temperature Tc = 5.6 (0.1) K. The magnetic susceptibility shows large crystal field effects with probably an important non-cubic component.  相似文献

Using a co-precipitation method, perovskite-type manganese oxide La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 nanoparticles (NPs) with particle size 12 nm were prepared. Detailed studies of both 55Mn nuclear magnetic resonance and superparamagnetic resonance spectrum, completed by magnetic measurements, have been performed to obtain microscopic information on the local magnetic structure of the NP. Our results on nuclear dynamics provide direct evidence of formation of a magnetically dead layer, of the thickness ≈2 nm, at the particle surface. Temperature dependences of the magnetic resonance spectra have been measured to obtain information about complex magnetic properties of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 fine-particle ensembles. In particular, electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum at 300 K shows a relatively narrow sharp line, but as the temperature decreases to 5 K, the apparent resonance field decreases and the line width considerably increases. The low-temperature blocking of the NPs magnetic moments has been clearly observed in the electron paramagnetic resonances. The blocking temperature depends on the measuring frequency and for the ensemble of 12 nm NPs at 9.244 GHz has been evaluated as 110 K.  相似文献

通过机械球磨和后续热处理工艺,制备了镨离子掺杂的各向同性Pr1-xSrxFe12O19磁性粉末.研究了离子掺杂浓度和退火条件对样品结构和磁性的影响.结果表明,镨离子掺杂导致单相硬磁化合物的形成温度升高.成分的改变不会影响样品的居里温度,而退火温度的升高导致居里温度略有下降.一定含量的镨掺杂可适当增加样品的矫顽力,但导致磁化强度降低.不同成分样品的磁性受退火温度影响规律不同. 关键词:  相似文献

The magnetic properties of Sr7Fe10O22 have been investigated by means of magnetic susceptibility and Mössbauer absorption measurements. This compound proved to be antiferromagnetic with a Néel temperature TN = 425 K; the magnetic susceptibility is constant from the lowest measuring temperature (78 K) up to TN.The Mössbauer measurements and the analogies with “brownmillerite” type compounds indicate that iron ions occupy one octahedral and two tetrahedral different sites. An antiferromagnetic spin configuration with moments lying in the ab plane appears to be consistent with the experimental results. A small spontaneous magnetic moment was observed at room temperature with features resembling those of strontium hexaferrite; a weak ferromagnetic behavior can not however be excluded taking into account the aforementioned susceptibility behaviour.  相似文献

The structural and magnetic transitions in Pr0.5Sr0.41Ca0.09MnO3 have been investigated by neutron diffraction and electron microscopy. Two structural transitions, Imma to I4/mcm and I4/mcm to Pmmn, are observed by decreasing the temperature. Two magnetic transitions, from a paramagnetic insulating to a ferromagnetic metallic and from a ferromagnetic metallic to an antiferromagnetic insulating states at TC=250 K and TN=180 K, respectively, are also observed. The structures of these three forms have been determined from neutron powder diffraction data. The first important result concerns the low temperature antiferromagnetic CE type and charge ordered structure, which has been refined in the Pmmn space group, without any constraint. This structure is completely long range ordered, with two Mn-sites, Mn3+ in tetragonally elongated octahedra, and Mn4+, off-centered in nearly regular octahedra. The second important point concerns the abrupt character of the structural transition from the I4/mcm to the Pmmn structure, without any appearance of incommensurability. The magnetic and transport properties of this compound are compared with those of Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3.  相似文献

采用溶胶凝胶法制备了系列La0.8-xCa0.2MnO3多晶样品,用X射线衍射分析确定了样品的钙钛矿结构,用透射电子显微镜观察了样品的形貌及粒径分布情况,用PAR155型振动样品磁强计测量了样品的磁性随外场和温度的变化,确定样品的居里温度并计算了各样品的磁熵变.磁测量及计算结果表明制备的各样品的居里温度在180—260K的范围内且随焙烧温度和La3+离子空位浓度的不同而变化,不同温度焙烧的样品均有较大的磁熵变值,其中1100℃焙烧的La0.77Ca0.2MnO3,多晶样品在240.5K,H=1.0T的外场下的磁熵变达3.76J/kg·K,对实验结果做了定性的分析.该材料具有较高的居里温度和较大的磁熵变,所需外场强度适中,电阻率高,性能稳定,适合做高温磁制冷材料. 关键词: 钙钛矿 居里温度 磁热效应  相似文献

In this paper, we have studied the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of the perovskite manganite Pr0.55Sr0.45MnO3. It shows a sharp paramagnetic-ferromagnetic phase transition at 291 K and possesses a moderate magnetic entropy change near room temperature. In addition, a large relative cooling power (143.64 J/kg) and a wide temperature range (84 K) have been found in this material. Compare with the Landau model, we find that the itinerant electrons mainly contribute the larger magnetic entropy change at paramagnetic region.  相似文献

Superconducting properties of Hg3-δAsF6 have been investigated by a.c. magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range 1.25–4.2 K and magnetic field range 0–0.05 T and by resistivity measurements in the temperature range 1.25–4.2 K. Magnetization curves of Tb1−xGdxMn6Sn6 compounds (0?x?1) have been measured for aligned powder samples in the temperature range 4.2–300 K in pulsed magnetic fields up to 30 T. Temperature and concentration dependences of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constants K1 and K2 and concentration dependence of the temperature of spontaneous spin-reorientation transition have been determined. Using these data, we estimated the contribution of the manganese and terbium atoms to the magnetic anisotropy of Tb1−xGdxMn6Sn6 and analyzed the origin of the appearance of field-induced first-order magnetic phase transition in these compounds.  相似文献

In this paper, magnetic property and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in nanoparticles perovskite manganites of the type (La0.67−xGdx)Sr0.33MnO3 (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) synthesized by using an amorphous molecular alloy as precursor have been reported. From the magnetic measurements as function of temperature and magnetic applied field, we have discovered that the Curie temperature (TC) of the prepared samples is found to be strongly dependent on Gd content. The Curie temperature of samples is 358.4, 343.2, and 285.9 K for x=0.1, 0.15, and 0.2, respectively. A large magnetocaloric effect close to TC has been observed with a maximum of magnetoentropy change in all the samples, ∣ΔSMmax of 1.96 and 4.90 J/kg K at 2 and 5 T, respectively, for a substitution rate of 0.15. In addition, the maximum magnetic entropy change observed for samples with different concentration of Gd, exhibits a linear dependence with the applied high magnetic field. These results suggest that (La0.67−x Gdx)Sr0.33MnO3 (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) compounds could be a suitable candidate as working substance in magnetic refrigeration near room temperature.  相似文献

Magnetic nanoparticles of CoFe2O4 have been synthesized under an applied magnetic field through a co-precipitation method followed by thermal treatments at different temperatures, producing nanoparticles of varying size. The magnetic behavior of these nanoparticles was investigated. As-grown nanoparticles demonstrate superparamagnetism above the blocking temperature, which is dependent on the particle size. One of the nanoparticles demonstrated a constricted magnetic hysteresis loop with no or small coercivity and remanence at low magnetic field. However, the loop opens up at high magnetic field. This magnetic behavior is attributed to the preferred Co ions and vacancies arrangements when the CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized under an applied magnetic field. Furthermore, this magnetic property is strongly dependent on the high temperature heat treatments that produce Co ions and vacancies disorder.  相似文献
