We study the Fresnel diffraction of Gaussian beam truncated by one circular aperture, and give the general analytic expression of the Fresnel diffraction of truncated Gaussian beam denoted by Bessel functions. Then the characteristic of the axial diffraction fluctuation and the influence of the caliber of the circular aperture and the wave waist of Gaussian beam on the diffraction distributions are discussed, respectively. Through the numerical calculations, the characteristics of the transverse diffraction are presented and the relationship of the fluctuation of the transverse diffraction profile and the position of the axial point is shown. The physical origin of the fluctuation of Fresnel diffraction intensities of truncated Gaussian beam is expressed in terms of Fresnel half-zone theory. These phenomena and the conclusions are important for the measurement of the parameters of the beam and its applications.  相似文献

We define the effective Fresnel number of a focused cylindrical spherical aberrated beam. Based on the effective Fresnel number, a simple analytical expression for evaluating the relative focal shift is presented. It is shown that the relative focal shift is determined by the effective Fresnel number, which is dependent on the spherical aberration and Fresnel number of the focused system. To illustrate the approach, a comparison between the results obtained by this new method and the numerical integral calculation is made. The results indicate that the relative focal shift can be simply and exactly evaluated using this new method. A special case is discussed, in which the effective Fresnel number turns out to be a pure imaginary number, and the corresponding relative focal shift is positive.  相似文献

A novel method for image encryption and decryption based on Hartley transform in the Fresnel transform domain is presented. Different from the conventional method which requires lens to perform the Fourier transform for achieving Hartley transform, the proposed new optical architecture of Hartley transform is based on the Fresnel diffraction which requires no Fourier transform lenses. The position coordinate as well as the wavelength in the Fresnel transform is used as encoding keys that can ensure the sufficient information security. The main advantages of this proposed image security system are that it uses fewer optical devices and the decryption scheme is straightforward and more secure than the previous works.  相似文献

An indirect algorithm for Fresnel diffraction calculation at any distance is presented in this paper. Using this indirect algorithm, the Fresnel diffraction on a near plane can be realized in two steps, the first is to acquire the diffractive field on a far field and the second is to obtain the diffractive field on a near plane using an inverse Fresnel integral. Compared with conventional algorithms, this algorithm is valid at any range of distance. The sampling theorem, as the basis of this indirect algorithm, is discussed in detail. Theoretical calculations show good agreements with experimental results.  相似文献

设计了一种新的测定 1/4波片快慢轴的实验。从菲涅尔公式出发 ,根据两次全反射后反射波和入射波各分量的位相变化 ,分析了菲涅尔菱体用于光的偏振态转换的相变理论 ,并提出利用菲涅尔菱体确定 1/4波片快慢轴的新方法。由于菲涅尔菱体的消色散作用 ,从而解决了通常测定 1/4波片快慢轴中的入射光波长受到限制的问题。  相似文献

An analytical expression of a radial laser array for flat-topped beam is derived based on the generalized Collins formula. The intensity distribution of the resulting beam focused by a lens at the focus plane, for phase-locked and nonphase-locked cases, is studied numerically. The effect of the Fresnel number and normalized radius on intensity distribution for phase-locked and nonphase-locked cases is also presented. It is found that intensity distribution for nonphase-locked case is much less sensible to the Fresnel number and normalized radius than that of phase-locked case.  相似文献

 基于有效菲涅耳数的概念,给出一种简单的表达式来评估部分相干电磁光束经圆形光阑透镜后所产生的相对焦移,对部分相干电磁光束经透镜聚焦的情况进行了研究。结果表明:当交叉谱密度函数的非对角元素为零时,有效菲涅耳数不仅依赖于真实的菲涅耳数大小,而且依赖于光束的偏振分布和入射部分相干电磁光束两个偏振分量的空间相干长度;相对焦移量仅由等效菲涅耳数决定。将此方法与数值积分法进行的比较表明,等效菲涅耳数可以简单、准确地评估焦移。  相似文献

为研制适用于太阳光直接泵浦激光器的聚能系统,在分析菲涅尔透镜聚光原理及缺陷的基础上,提出抛物面环形阵列聚光器的设计方法。完成了由抛物面环形阵列聚光器、菲涅尔透镜及复合抛物面聚光器(CPC)组成的太阳光泵浦激光器二级聚能方案,并与传统菲涅尔透镜方案进行了对比。光线追迹仿真分析表明:新型聚光器能够克服传统菲涅尔透镜的色散、小棱镜面像差及光线遮挡的缺陷,从而提高聚能效,使用抛物面环形阵列聚光器的多级聚能方案较传统菲涅尔透镜的多级聚能方案聚光比提高约18.5%,更适合于大相对孔径、高聚光比聚光场合的应用。  相似文献

The acoustic field distributions and the convergent beams generated by the planar-structure Fresnel zone transducers on solid surface are investigated. Because only 0 and 180 degree phase transducers are used, an imaging system with the Fresnel zoom lens could work at very high frequency, which overcomes the frequency limit of the traditional phased array acoustic imaging system. Simulation results are given to illustrate the acoustic field distributions along the focal axis and the whole plane as well. Based on the principle of scanning of the focus with the change of frequency for the excited signal, an experimental imaging system is also built. Acoustic Fresnel zone transducers are fabricated at center frequency of 400 MHz. Measurements and detections of the known hole flaws at different depths of the fused quartz sample are presented to show that the imaging system with Fresnel zoom lens could move its focus by only changing the frequency of the excited signal.  相似文献

The distinction between Fresnel and Fraunhofer diffraction is an essential condition for the accurate analysis of diffracting structures. In this paper we propose a criterion based on the angle subtended by the first minimum of the diffraction pattern from the centre of the diffracting aperture. The determination of the minimum of the diffraction pattern is the crucial point to assure the accuracy of the criterion. Therefore, the applicability of adequate thresholds for detection is discussed. The criterion is also generalized by expressing it in terms of the number of Fresnel zones delimited by the aperture. Simulations are reported to illustrate the feasibility of the criterion.  相似文献

与夫琅禾费衍射不同,菲涅耳衍射图样对于给定波长,当衍射距离变化或输入图像几何缩放时一般都不具有相似性.但我们的分析表明,若波长、衍射距离和输入图像几何线度诸参数满足一定关系,或对于某些特殊类型孔径,菲涅耳衍射图样有可能彼此相似.本文导出了在上述诸参数发生变化时菲涅耳衍射图样保持相似性的普适条件,以及此时衍射图样大小与诸参数的定量关系,并对包括圆孔衍射和直边衍射等情况都得到了一系列有价值的推论.  相似文献

A millimeter wave antenna consisting of two Fresnel zone plate lenses, plane and conical, is examined numerically by use of the vector diffraction theory. The lenses are of Wood-Wiltse (double-dielectric) or Soret (half-open) type, and are designed for the frequency of 117 GHz. The lenses are made conformal to a truncated circular cone with a base diameter of 500 mm and a plateau diameter of 250 mm. Designs for two opening semi-angles, 45° and 75° each of them with a particular lens thickness are presented. For the angle of 90° the cone lens becomes a plane ring lens, which in combination with the plateau zone lens forms a plane lens of size equal to the cone base diameter. Illuminated by directive feeds set at a focal distance of 525 mm from the cone apex, the double-dielectric and half-open compound and plane lenses, form three pairs of Fresnel zone lens antennas, the co-polar and cross-polar radiation characteristics of which have been compared numerically. The double-dielectric lens antennas examined are about 5 dB superior in gain to the half-open lens antennas, which has a gain of approximately 45 dBi. Because all lenses are of equal transverse aperture, the corresponding lens antennas exhibit the same −3 dB beamwidth of about 0.33 degrees. The plane zone lens antenna is very thin and simple. Instead, the antenna comprising a 3-D compound Fresnel zone lens is thicker but can be made conformal to a specific surface shape and possesses more levels of design and optimization freedom.  相似文献
