At the Cooler-Synchrotron COSY/Jülich polarized and unpolarized elastic proton-proton scattering has been investigated with the EDDA-Experiment in the energy range ( -2.5 GeV). By taking scattering data during the acceleration of the beam with a large-acceptance ( - ) detector, precise excitation functions for differential cross-section and analyzing power have been measured in small energy steps with consistent normalization with respect to luminosity and polarization. These data have helped to improve the determination of phase-shifts at higher energies and impose tight quantitative upper bounds on possible resonant contributions to pp elastic scattering, as they might arise from exotic 6-quark configurations. Recently, with polarized beam and target, the spin-correlation parameters , , and have been determined at 10 energies between 0.8 and 2.5 GeV. The observable has been measured the first time above 800 MeV and our results are in sharp contrast to phase-shift predictions at higher energies.Received: 30 September 2002, Published online: 22 October 2003PACS: 24.70. + s Polarization phenomena in reactions - 25.40.Cm Elastic proton scattering - 11.80.Et Partial-wave analysis - 13.75.Cs Nucleon-nucleon interactions (including antinucleons, deuterons, etc.)  相似文献

, and have been calculated via the BUU model with soft EOS and 0.8 times of . The density distribution without any adjustable parameters which comes from the RMF model has been introduced into the BUU calculation to replace the normally used one-parameter square-type distribution. The calculated results can reproduce the experimental data well for both halo- and stable-nuclei-induced reactions. Here or is calculated as the difference between of halo nucleus and core nucleus, by assuming . It indicates that this assumption works very well at high energy in the BUU calculation. More experimental measurements are necessary to test the validity of this assumption at intermediate energy.Received: 12 June 2003, Revised: 29 September 2003, Published online: 27 April 2004PACS: 24.10.-i Nuclear reaction models and methods - 25.60.Dz Interaction and reaction cross-sections - 25.60.Gc Breakup and momentum distributions - 27.20. + n   相似文献

Measurements of the time-dependent CP-asymmetry in the decay and its charge conjugate by the BELLE and BABAR collaborations currently yield and , characterizing the direct and mixing-induced CP-asymmetries, respectively. We study the implication of these measurements on the CKM phenomenology taking into account the available information in the quark mixing sector. Our analysis leads to the results that the ratio |P c /T c | involving the QCD-penguin and tree amplitudes and the related strong phase difference in the decays are quite substantial. Using the isospin symmetry to constrain |P c /T c | and , where parameterizes the penguin-induced contribution, we present a fit of the current data including the measurements of and . Our best-fits yield , , , , and . At 68% C.L., the ranges are , , , and . Currently en vogue dynamical approaches to estimate the hadronic matrix elements in decays do not provide a good fit of the current data.Received: 5 April 2004, Published online: 14 July 2004A.Ya. The ground-state band in 110Mo has been observed for the first time. The band, comprising six levels, has been populated in the spontaneous fission of 248Cm and studied by means of prompt -ray spectroscopy using the EUROGAM2 array. The ratio suggests that the deformation of 110Mo is smaller than that in 108Mo but may stabilize at higher neutron number, where an oblate shape is expected. The new data suggests that the deformation of Sr and Zr isotopes decreases above neutron number N = 64.Received: 23 February 2004, Published online: 2 June 2004PACS: 23.20.Lv transitions and level energies - 21.60.Cs Shell model - 25.85.Ca Spontaneous fission - 27.60. + j   相似文献

Using an effective Lagrangian approach as well as the Quark-Gluon Strings Model, we analyze near-threshold production of a 0(980)-mesons in the reaction as well as the background of non-resonant -pair production. We argue that the reaction at an energy release MeV is dominated by the intermediate production of the a 0(980)-resonance. At larger energies the non-resonant -pair production --where the kaons are produced in a relative P-wave-- becomes important. The effects of final-state interactions are evaluated in a unitarized scattering length approach and found to be in the order of a 20% suppression close to threshold. Thus, in present experiments at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY-Jülich for MeV the a 0 + signal can reliably be separated from the non-resonant background.Received: 26 February 2004, Published online: 21 September 2004PACS: 25.10. + s Nuclear reactions involving few-nucleon systems - 13.75.-n Hadron-induced low- and intermediate-energy reactions and scattering (energy GeV)  相似文献

The quadrupole interaction of high-spin isomers in 193Pb implanted into solid Hg cooled at a temperature T = 170 K has been investigated by the time-differential perturbed -ray angular-distribution method. Spectroscopic quadrupole moment values of eb and 0.45(4) eb have been deduced for the 21/2- and 33/2 + three-neutron states, respectively. A much higher value eb has been determined for the 29/2- isomer, the band head of a magnetic rotational band.Received: 4 November 2002, Published online: 2 March 2004PACS: 21.10.Ky Electromagnetic moments - 27.80. + w   相似文献

We have obtained Doppler-free spectra of transitions in the → 2p2(3P) and → multiplets of atomic nitrogen using saturated absorption spectroscopy. These multiplets consist of respectively of seven and eight transitions, and have center of gravity wavelengths of 821 nm and 869 nm. Values for the hyperfine structure coupling constants of all the upper and lower states for these multiplets were obtained for both 14N and 15N. Isotope shifts of three transitions in each multiplet were also measured, and a significant J-dependence to the shifts was observed.  相似文献

We compute the spectra of exotic pentaquarks and monopole excitations of thelow-lying and baryons in a chiral soliton model. Once the low-lying baryon properties are fit, the other states are predicted without any more adjustable parameters. This approach naturally leads to a scenario in which the mass spectrum of the next to lowest-lying states is fairly well approximatedby the ideal mixing pattern of the representation of flavor SU(3). We compare our results to predictions obtained in other pictures for pentaquarks and speculate about the spin-parity assignment for and .Received: 21 April 2004, Revised: 19 May 2004, Published online: 23 July 2004PACS: 12.39.Dc Skyrmions - 14.20.-c Baryons (including antiparticles) - 14.80.-j Other particles (including hypothetical)  相似文献

The wobbling mode is uniquely related to triaxiality and introduces a series of bands with increasing wobbling phonon number, . The pattern of -transitions between the wobbling excitations will be influenced by the presence of an aligned particle. Evidence for the wobbling mode was obtained recently, and even a two-phonon wobbling excitation has now been identified in 163Lu. The similarity of the data in 163Lu to new strongly deformed triaxial bands and connecting transitions in the neighbouring nuclei, 165Lu and 167Lu, establishes wobbling as a more general phenomenon in this region. The higher phonon wobbling excitations show some anharmonicity, but the characteristic large E2 strength is observed. The wobbling interpretation is based on the comparison of electromagnetic decay strength between bands to particle-rotor calculations in which an i13/2 proton is coupled to a triaxial core.Received: 30 October 2002, Published online: 23 March 2004PACS: 27.70. + q - 23.20.-g Electromagnetic transitions - 21.10.Re Collective levels  相似文献

The tau lepton lifetime has been measured with the events collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP in the years 1991-1995. Three different methods have been exploited, using both one-prong and three-prong decay channels. Two measurements have been made using events in which both taus decay to a single charged particle. Combining these measurements gave . A third measurement using taus which decayed to three charged particles yielded These were combined with previous DELPHI results to measure the tau lifetime, using the full LEP1 data sample, to be .Received: 12 November 2003, Revised: 1 June 2004, Published online: 20 July 2004  相似文献

A new high-spin isomer in 215Bi, with a half-life of 36.9(6) s, has been identified at the PSB-ISOLDE on-line mass separator using the pulsed-release technique combined with the element selective RILIS source. A decay scheme of Bi was constructed and complemented with the low-spinstructure observed in Bi decay. The mirror nuclei 25Mg and 25Al are expected to have very similar structures. The Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions from the ground state of 25Mg to the excited states in 25Al were studied by high-resolution measurements of the 25Mg( ) charge-exchange reaction at and at 140 MeV/nucleon. Assuming the usual selection rule for the spin-isospin-type GT transitions, the states with , and 7/2 + should be excited. However, of the more than ten states with these values below 6 MeV excitation energy, only the 5/2 + ground state and the 7/2 + , 1.613 MeV state in 25Al were strongly populated, while all other states were strongly suppressed. The analysis of M1 transitions in 25Mg also suggested a very similar feature for the analogous M1 transitions. Both 25Mg and 25Al are known to be largely deformed, and most low-lying states can be interpreted in terms of one-particle quantum numbers in the deformed potential and the associated rotational spectra. The observed suppression can be explained in terms of the K quantum number selection rules that are inherent to axially deformed nuclei.-1Received: 18 July 2003, Published online: 18 December 2003PACS: 21.10.Re Collective levels - 21.60.Ev Collective models - 25.55.Kr Charge-exchange reactions - 27.30. + t H. The production of the - and -hyperons has been measured via the reaction at the internal COSY-11 facility in the excess energy range between 14 and 60 MeV. The transition of the cross-section ratio from about 28 at MeV to the high-energy level of about 2.5 is covered by the data showing a strong decrease of the ratio between 10 and 20 MeV excess energy. Effects from the final-state interactions in the p- channel seem to be much smaller than in the p- channel. Estimates of the effective range parameters are given for the and the systems.PACS: 13.75.-n Hadron-induced low- and intermediate-energy reactions and scattering (energy GeV) - 13.75.Ev Hyperon-nucleon interactions - 13.85.Lg Total cross-sections - 25.40.Ep Inelastic proton scattering  相似文献

Granular films of Co-cluster/C60 mixtures have been prepared by the co-deposition of well defined Co clusters (mean diameter 4.5 nm) and C60 fullerenes onto a cold ( 35 K) substrate. Films having a Co cluster volume fraction show a resistivity , typical for tunneling with a Coulomb barrier. The tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) has a value of TMR ( % for and is decreasing by almost one order of magnitude going to . We explain this unusual decrease of the TMR with increasing as caused by electron-doping of the C60 fullerenes due to the known charge transfer process occurring between transition metal surface and C60. Increasing electron doping may lead to an increasing probability for spin-flip processes within the tunneling barrier, resulting in a decrease of the TMR.Received: 17 March 2004, Published online: 3 August 2004PACS: 75.47.-m Magnetotransport phenomena; materials for magnetotransport - 73.40.Gk Tunneling - 73.40.Rw Metal-insulator-metal structures  相似文献

The anomalous weak dipole moments of the lepton are measured in a data sample collected by ALEPH from 1990 to 1995 corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 155 pb-1. Tau leptons produced in the reaction at energies close to the mass are studied using their semileptonic decays to , , or . The real and imaginary components of both the anomalous weak magnetic dipole moment and the CP-violating anomalous weak electric dipole moment, , , and , are measured simultaneously by means of a likelihood fit built from the full differential cross section. Bose-Einstein correlations between like-sign charged-particle pairs in events recorded with the OPAL detector at LEP at centre-of-mass energies between 183 GeV and 209 GeV are studied. Recently proposed methods which allow direct searches for correlations in the data via distributions of test variables are used to investigate the presence of correlations between hadrons originating from different W bosons in events. Within the statistics of the data sample no evidence for inter-WW Bose-Einstein correlations is obtained. The data are also compared with predictions of a recent implementation of Bose-Einstein correlation effects in the Monte Carlo model PYTHIAReceived: 24 March 2004, Revised: 7 June 2004, Published online: 20 July 2004  相似文献

The dynamical effects of the entrance channel on the competition between quasifission and fusion processes, and on the evaporation residue formation are investigated. We have analyzed the results and compared our calculations with the experimental data obtained in the 16 O + 204 Pb and 96 Zr + 124 Sn reactions having very different mass asymmetries and leading to the 220 Th * compound nucleus. We have found that different partial capture cross-sections for these reactions lead to different fusion-quasifission competitions and, consequently, to different partial fusion cross-sections of the compound nucleus formed in the two reactions. The dynamical conditions also affect the fission-evaporation competition of the excited intermediate nuclei along the CN de-excitation cascade and, consequently, the evaporation residue formation.Received: 8 March 2004, Revised: 5 April 2004, Published online: 25 October 2004PACS: 25.70.Jj Fusion and fusion-fission reactions - 25.70.-z Low and intermediate energy heavy-ion reactions - 27.80. + w - 27.90. + b   相似文献
