We investigate the effect of an external periodic modulation on the one-dimensional (1D) Bose-Einstein conden- sate with harmonic trapping potential. By numerically solving the Gross-Pitaevskii equation with symplectic algorithm, the nonlinear resonance phenomenon is shown and the corresponding Fourier spectrum is given. The autoresonance phe- nomenon is also presented under almost periodic external modulation, and it shows that the condensate eventually evolves into quasi-periodic oscillation.  相似文献

The method of nonlinearization of spectral problem is developed and applied to the discrete nonlinear Schr6dinger (DNLS) equation which is a reduction of the Ablowitz-Ladik equation with a reality condition. In this paper, we present a new integration algorithm based on the discrete Pfaff-Birkhoff principle for Birkhoffian systems. It is proved that the new algorithm can preserve the general symplectic geometric structures of Birkhoffian systems. A numerical experiment for a damping oscillator system is conducted. The result shows that the new algorithm can better simulate the energy dissipation than the R-K method, which illustrates that we can numerically solve the dynamical equations by the discrete variational method in a Birkhoffian framework for the systems with a general symplectic structure. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the results of the numerical experiments are determined not by the constructing methods of Birkhoffian functions but by whether the numerical method can preserve the inherent nature of the dynamical system.  相似文献

The free vibration problem of rectangular thin plates is rewritten as a new upper triangular matrix differential system. For the associated operator matrix, we find that the two diagonal block operators are Hamiltonian. Moreover, the existence and completeness of normed symplectic orthogonal eigenfunction systems of these two block operators are demonstrated. Based on the completeness, the general solution of the free vibration of rectangular thin plates is given by double symplectie eigenfunction expansion method.  相似文献

A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for the generalized eigenfunction systems of 2 × 2 operator matrices to be a block Schauder basis of some Hilbert space, which offers a mathematical foundation of solving symplectic elasticity problems by using the method of separation of variables. In this paper, we study the Mei symmetry which can result in a Lutzky conserved quantity for nonholonomic mechanical system with unilateral constraints. The definition and the criterion of the Mei symmetry for the system are given. The necessary and sufficient condition under which the Mei symmetry is a Lie symmetry for the system is obtained. A Lutzky conserved quantity deduced from the Mei symmetry is gotten. An example is given to illustrate the application of our results.  相似文献

It is proven that on a symplectic submanifold the restricted c-KdV flow is just the interpolating Hamiltonian flow of invariant for the restricted Toda flow, which is an integrable symplectic map of Neumann type. They share the common Lax matrix, dynamical r-matrix and system of involutive conserved integrals. To each natural star product on a Poisson manifold M we associate an antisymplectic involutive automorphism of the formal neighborhood of the zero section of the cotangent bundle of M. If M is symplectic, this mapping is shown to be the inverse mapping of the formal symplectic groupoid of the star product. A family of integrable differential-difference equations is derived from a new matrix spectral problem. The Hamiltonian forms of obtained differential-difference equations are constructed. The Liouville integrability for the obtained integrable family is proved. Then, Bargmann symmetry constraint of the obtained integrable family is presented by binary nonliearization method of Lax pairs and adjoint Lax pairs. Under this Bargmann symmetry constraints, an integrable symplectic map and a sequences of completely integrable finite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems in Liouville sense are worked out, and every integrable differential-difference equations in the obtained family is factored by the integrable symplectic map and a completely integrable finite-dimensional Hamiltonian system.  相似文献

Symplectic scheme-shooting method (SSSM) is applied to solve the energy eigenvalues of anharmonic oscillators characterized by the potentials V(x)=λx4 and V(x)=(1/2)x2+λx2α with α=2,3,4 and doubly anharmonic oscillators characterized by the potentials V(x)=(1/2)x2+λ1x4+λ2x6, and a high order symplectic scheme tailored to the "time"-dependent Hamiltonian function is presented. The numerical results illustrate that the energy eigenvalues of anharmonic oscillators with the symplectic scheme-shooting method are in good agreement with the numerical accurate ones obtained from the non-perturbative method by using an appropriately scaled basis for the expansion of each eigenfunction; and the energy eigenvalues of doubly anharmonic oscillators with the sympolectic scheme-shooting method are in good agreement with the exact ones and are better than the results obtained from the four-term asymptotic series. Therefore, the symplectic scheme-shooting method, which is very simple and is easy to grasp, is a good numerical algorithm.  相似文献

We investigate the effects of round-off errors on the orbits of a linear symplectic map of the plane, with rational rotation number nu=p/q. Uniform discretization transforms this map into a permutation of the integer lattice Z(2). We study in detail the case q=5, exploiting the correspondence between Z and a suitable domain of algebraic integers. We completely classify the orbits, proving that all of them are periodic. Using higher-dimensional embedding, we establish the quasi-periodicity of the phase portrait. We show that the model exhibits asymptotic scaling of the periodic orbits and a long-range clustering property similar to that found in repetitive tilings of the plane. An elementary, physically motivated, example of a semi-simple graded Lie algebra (SSGLA) is shown to be given by the symplecton realization of angular momentum [an associative, involutive, inner-product algebra whose characteristic polynomials realize the symplectic group Sp(2)]. From an extrapolation of threshold π+ electroproduction data combined with a kinematical constraint at an unphysical point, we derive the value of the pion form factor at a time-like value of the momentum transfer k2π 1 fm−2. The result is Fπ(k2π) = 1.19 ± 0.1. From this value, using a twice subtracted dispersion relation, we obtain rπ 0.98 ± 0.24 fm.  相似文献
