A new borate, Cs2Al2B2O7, was synthesized by solid-state reaction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=6.719(1) Å, b=7.121(1) Å, c=9.626(3) Å, β=115.3(1)°, and Z=2. In the structure, two AlO4 tetrahedra and two BO3 planar triangles are connected alternately by corner-sharing to from nearly planar [Al2B2O10] rings, which are further linked via common O1 atom to generate layers in the bc plane. These layers then share the O3 atoms lying on a center of inversion to form a three-dimensional framework with Cs atoms residing in the channels. The IR spectrum confirms the presence of both BO3 and AlO4 groups and the UV-vis-IR diffuse reflectance spectrum indicates a band gap of about 4.13(2) eV.  相似文献

Single crystals of K3RESi2O7 (RE=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) were grown from a potassium fluoride flux. Two different structure types were found for this series. Silicates containing the larger rare earths, RE=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb crystallize in a structure K3RESi2O7 that contains the rare-earth cation in both a slightly distorted octahedral and an ideal trigonal prismatic coordination environment, while in K3LuSi2O7, containing the smallest of the rare earths, lutetium is found solely in an octahedral coordination environment. The structure of K3LuSi2O7 crystallizes in space group P63/mmc with a=5.71160(10) Å and c=13.8883(6) Å. The structures containing the remaining rare earths crystallize in the space group P63/mcm with the lattice parameters of a=9.9359(2) Å, c=14.4295(4) Å, (K3GdSi2O7); a=9.88730(10) Å, c=14.3856(3) Å, (K3TbSi2O7); a=9.8673(2) Å, c=14.3572(4) Å, (K3DySi2O7); a=9.8408(3) Å, c=14.3206(6) Å, (K3HoSi2O7); a=9.82120(10) Å, c=14.2986(2) Å, (K3ErSi2O7); a=9.80200(10) Å, c=14.2863(4) Å, (K3TmSi2O7); a=9.78190(10) Å, c=14.2401(3) Å, (K3YbSi2O7). The optical properties of the silicates were investigated and K3TbSi2O7 was found to fluoresce in the visible.  相似文献

A novel sodium lead pentaborate, NaPbB5O9, has been successfully synthesized by standard solid-state reaction. The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis showed that NaPbB5O9 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=6.5324(10) Å, b=13.0234(2) Å, c=8.5838(10) Å, β=104.971(10)°, and Z=4. The crystal structure is composed of double ring [B5O9]3− units, [PbO7] and [NaO7] polyhedra. [B5O9]3− groups connect with each other forming two-dimensional infinite [B5O9]3− layers, while [PbO7] and [NaO7] polyhedra are located between the layers. [PbO7] polyhedra linked together via corner-sharing O atom forming novel infinite [PbO6] chains along the c axis. The thermal behavior, IR spectrum and the optical diffuse reflectance spectrum of NaPbB5O9 were reported.  相似文献

Hydrothermal synthesis in the K-Mo oxide system was investigated as a function of the pH of the reaction medium. Four compounds were formed, including two K2Mo4O13 phases. One is a new low-temperature polymorph, which crystallizes in the orthorhombic, space group Pbca, with Z=8 and unit cell dimensions a=7.544(1) Å, b=15.394(2) Å, c=18.568(3) Å. The other is the known triclinic K2Mo4O13, whose structure was re-determined from single crystal data; its cell parameters were determined as a=7.976(2) Å, b=8.345(2) Å, c=10.017(2) Å, α=107.104(3)°, β=102.885(3)°, γ=109.760(3)°, which are the standard settings of the crystal lattice. The orthorhombic phase converts endothermically into triclinic phase at ca. 730 K with a heat of transition of 8.31 kJ/mol.  相似文献

The compound previously reported as Ba2Ti2B2O9 has been reformulated as Ba3Ti3B2O12, or Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2, a new barium titanium oxoborate. Small single crystals have been recovered from a melt with a composition of BaTiO3:BaTiB2O6 (molar ratio) cooled between 1100°C and 850°C. The crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction: hexagonal system, non-centrosymmetric space group, a=8.7377(11) Å, c=3.9147(8) Å, Z=1, wR(F2)=0.039 for 504 unique reflections. Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2 is isostructural with K3Ta3O6(BO3)2. Preliminary measurements of nonlinear optical properties on microcrystalline samples show that the second harmonic generation efficiency of Ba3Ti3O6(BO3)2 is equal to 95% of that of LiNbO3.  相似文献

A new compound, Li4CaB2O6, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction and its structure has been determined from powder X-ray diffraction data by direct methods. The refinement was carried out using the Rietveld methods and the final refinement converged with Rp=10.4%, Rwp=14.2%, Rexp=4.97%. This compound belongs to the orthorhombic space group Pnnm, with lattice parameters a=9.24036(9) Å, b=8.09482(7) Å, and c=3.48162(4) Å. Fundamental building units are isolated [BO3]3− anionic groups, which are all parallel to the a-b plane stacked along the c-axis. The Ca atoms are six-coordinated by the O atoms to form octahedral coordination polyhedra, which are joined together through edges along the c-axis, forming infinitely long three-dimensional chains. The Li atoms have a four-fold and a five-fold coordination with O atoms that lead to complex Li-O-Li chains that also extend along the c-axis. The infrared spectrum of Li4CaB2O6 was also studied, which is consistent with the crystallographic study.  相似文献

Hydrothermal synthesis in the M/Mo/O (M=Co,Ni) system was investigated. Novel transition metal tetramolybdate dihydrates MMo4O13·2H2O (M=Co,Ni), having an interesting pillared layer structure, were found. The molybdates crystallize in the triclinic system with space group P−1, Z=1 with unit cell parameters of a=5.525(3) Å, b=7.058(4) Å, c=7.551(5) Å, α=90.019(10)°, β=105.230(10)°, γ=90.286(10)° for CoMo4O13·2H2O, and a=5.508(2) Å, b=7.017(3) Å, c=7.533(3) Å, α=90.152(6)°, β=105.216(6)°, γ=90.161(6)° for NiMo4O13·2H2O The structure is composed of two-dimensional molybdenum-oxide (2D Mo-O) sheets pillared with CoO6 octahedra. The 2D Mo-O sheet is made up of infinite straight ribbons built up by corner-sharing of four molybdenum octahedra (two MoO6 and two MoO5OH2) sharing edges. These infinite ribbons are similar to the straight ones in triclinic-K2Mo4O13 having 1D chain structure, but are linked one after another by corner-sharing to form a 2D sheet structure, like the twisted ribbons in BaMo4O13·2H2O (or in orthorhombic-K2Mo4O13) are.  相似文献

Three novel metal polyphosphides, α-SrP3, BaP8, and LaP5, were prepared in BN crucibles by the reaction of the respective stoichiometric mixtures under a high pressure of 3 GPa at 950-1000°C. Their crystal structures were determined from single-crystal X-ray data (α-SrP3: space group C2/m, a=9.199(6) Å, b=7.288(3) Å, c=5.690(3) Å, β=113.45(4)°, Z=4, R1/wR2=0.0684/0.1180 for 471 observed reflections and 22 variables; BaP8: space group P−1, a=6.762(2) Å, b=7.233(2) Å, c=8.567(2) Å, α=86.32(2)°, β=84.31(2)°, γ=70.40(2)°, Z=2, R1/wR2=0.0476/0.1255 for 2702 observed reflections and 82 variables; LaP5: space group P21/m, a=4.885(1) Å, b=9.673(3) Å, c=5.577(2) Å, β=105.32(2)°, Z=2, R1/wR2=0.0391/0.1034 for 1272 observed reflections and 31 variables). α-SrP3 is isostructural with SrAs3 and the crystal structure consists of two-dimensional puckered polyanionic layers 2[P3]2− that stack along the c-axis yielding channels occupied by Sr2+ counterions. BaP8 crystallizes in a new structure type which contains a three-dimensional infinite polyanionic framework 3[P3]2−, with large channels hosting the barium cations. LaP5 is a layered compound containing 2[P5]3− polyanionic layers separated by La3+ ions. All three compounds exhibit expected diamagnetic behaviors.  相似文献

Single crystals of Y5Re2O12 have been grown, and the crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. This compound crystallizes in space group C2/m with cell dimensions of a=12.4081(10) Å b=5.6604(5)Å, c=7.4951(6) Å, β=107.837(3)°, Z=2. The final refinement led to R1=0.0238, WR2=0.0459 for 1053 observed reflections with F>4σ(F0). Edge-sharing ReO6 octahedra form infinite linear [ReO2O4/2]n chains along the b direction with alternating short and long Re-Re distances. Three crystallographically independent yttrium atoms surround O2 to form OY4 tetrahedra, which share edges and corners in the ab plane to form a two-dimensional Y5O4 network which separates the [ReO2O4/2]n magnetic chains. This compound is therefore isostructural with the series Ln5Re2O12Ln=Gd-Lu, which have been known since 1969. The average Re oxidation state is +4.5 in the chains and a reasonable, if qualitative MO scheme results in one unpaired electron per Re dimer. Consistent with this, magnetic susceptibility data can be fitted to the one-dimensional antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model with S=1/2 and parameters Jintra/k=−89(1)K, g=2.15(4) and χ(TIP)=5(1)×10−4 emu/mol. There is no sign of long-range magnetic order down to 2 K. These results are contrasted with those for the isostructural Y5Mo2O12.  相似文献

Phase transitions in MgAl2O4 were examined at 21-27 GPa and 1400-2500 °C using a multianvil apparatus. A mixture of MgO and Al2O3 corundum that are high-pressure dissociation products of MgAl2O4 spinel combines into calcium-ferrite type MgAl2O4 at 26-27 GPa and 1400-2000 °C. At temperature above 2000 °C at pressure below 25.5 GPa, a mixture of Al2O3 corundum and a new phase with Mg2Al2O5 composition is stable. The transition boundary between the two fields has a strongly negative pressure-temperature slope. Structure analysis and Rietveld refinement on the basis of the powder X-ray diffraction profile of the Mg2Al2O5 phase indicated that the phase represented a new structure type with orthorhombic symmetry (Pbam), and the lattice parameters were determined as a=9.3710(6) Å, b=12.1952(6) Å, c=2.7916(2) Å, V=319.03(3) Å3, Z=4. The structure consists of edge-sharing and corner-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra, and contains chains of edge-sharing octahedra running along the c-axis. A part of Mg atoms are accommodated in six-coordinated trigonal prism sites in tunnels surrounded by the chains of edge-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra. The structure is related with that of ludwigite (Mg, Fe2+)2(Fe3+, Al)(BO3)O2. The molar volume of the Mg2Al2O5 phase is smaller by 0.18% than sum of molar volumes of 2MgO and Al2O3 corundum. High-pressure dissociation to the mixture of corundum-type phase and the phase with ludwigite-related structure has been found only in MgAl2O4 among various A2+B3+2O4 compounds.  相似文献

The paper presents a new data on the crystal structure, thermal expansion and IR spectra of Bi3B5O12. The Bi3B5O12 single crystals were grown from the melt of the same stoichiometry by Czochralski technique. The crystal structure of Bi3B5O12 was refined in anisotropic approximation using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. It is orthorhombic, Pnma, a=6.530(4), b=7.726(5), c=18.578(5) Å, V=937.2(5) Å3, Z=4, R=3.45%. Bi3+ atoms have irregular coordination polyhedra, Bi(1)O6 (d(B-O)=2.09-2.75 Å) and Bi(2)O7 (d(B-O)=2.108-2.804 Å). Taking into account the shortest bonds only, these polyhedra are considered here as trigonal Bi(1)O3 (2.09-2.20 Å) and tetragonal Bi(2)O4 (2.108-2.331 Å) irregular pyramids with Bi atoms in the tops of both pyramids. The BiO4 polyhedra form zigzag chains along b-axis. These chains alternate with isolated anions [B2IVB3IIIO11]7− through the common oxygen atoms to form thick layers extended in ab plane. A perfect cleavage of the compound corresponds to these layers and an imperfect one is parallel to the Bi-O chains. The Bi3B5O12 thermal expansion is sharply anisotropic (α11α22=12, α33=3×10−6 °C−1) likely due to a straightening of the flexible zigzag chains along b-axis and decreasing of their zigzag along c-axis. Thus the properties like cleavage and thermal expansion correlate to these chains.  相似文献

β-UP2O7 has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions (θ=500°C, P=200 MPa), using UO2 and H3PO4. β-UP2O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pn21a, with a=11.526 (2) Å, b=7.048 (2) Å, c=12.807 (2) Å and Z=4. Its structure has been determined through direct methods and difference Fourier synthesis and has been refined to R=0.0396. The structure is built on UO8 polyhedral chains along the b-axis. PO43− and P3O105− groups coexist in the structure and the latter groups form non-linear chains. Cohesion of the structure is made through the linkage of UO8 chains by PO4 and P3O10 groups leading to the formula U2(PO4)(P3O10) instead of β-UP2O7. Vibrational and optical spectra confirm the results obtained by X-ray diffraction. DTA-TGA measurements show that the transformation of U2(PO4)(P3O10) to the cubic α-UP2O7 occurs at θ=870°C.  相似文献

Two novel noncentrosymmetric borates oxides, MBi2B2O7 or MBi2O(BO3)2 (MCa, Sr), have been synthesized by solid-state reactions in air at temperatures in the 600-700 °C range. Their crystal structures have been determined ab initio and refined using powder neutron diffraction data. CaBi2B2O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pna21 space group with a=8.9371(5) Å, b=5.4771(3) Å, c=12.5912(7) Å, Z=4, Rwp=0.118, χ2=2.30. SrBi2B2O7 crystallizes in the hexagonal P63 space group with a=9.1404(4) Å, c=13.0808(6) Å, Z=6, Rwp=0.115, χ2=4.15. Large displacement parameters suggest the presence of disorder in SrBi2B2O7 as also revealed by diffuse 2×a superstructure reflections in electron diffraction patterns. Both structures are built of identical (001) neutral layers of corner-sharing BO3 triangles and MO6 trigonal prisms forming six-membered rings in which Bi2O groups are located. Adjacent layers are stacked in a staggered configuration and connected through weak Bi-O bonds. A moderate efficiency for second harmonic generation (SHG) has been measured for a powder sample of CaBi2B2O7 (deff=2deff(KDP)).  相似文献

Subsolidus phase relationships in the In2O3-WO3 system at 800-1400°C were investigated using X-ray diffraction. Two binary-oxide phases—In6WO12 and In2(WO4)3—were found to be stable over the range 800-1200°C. Heating the binary-oxide phases above 1200°C resulted in the preferential volatilization of WO3. Rietveld refinement was performed on three structures using X-ray diffraction data from nominally phase-pure In6WO12 at room temperature and from nominally phase-pure In2(WO4)3 at 225°C and 310°C. The indium-rich phase, In6WO12, is rhombohedral, space group (rhombohedral), with Z=1, a=6.22390(4) Å, α=99.0338(2)° [hexagonal axes: aH=9.48298(6) Å, c=8.94276(6) Å, aH/c=0.9430(9)]. In6WO12 can be viewed as an anion-deficient fluorite structure in which 1/7 of the fluorite anion sites are vacant. Indium tungstate, In2(WO4)3, undergoes a monoclinic-orthorhombic transition around 250°C. The high-temperature polymorph is orthorhombic, space group Pnca, with a=9.7126(5) Å, b=13.3824(7) Å, c=9.6141(5) Å, and Z=4. The low-temperature polymorph is monoclinic, space group P21/a, with a=16.406(2) Å, b=9.9663(1) Å, c=19.099(2) Å, β=125.411(2)°, and Z=8. The structures of the two In2(WO4)3 polymorphs are similar, consisting of a network of corner sharing InO6 octahedra and WO4 tetrahedra.  相似文献

A new compound, Na2Zn5(PO4)4, was identified in the system ZnONa2OP2O5 and high-quality crystal was obtained by the melt method. The crystal structure of this compound was solved by direct method from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. The structure was then refined anisotropically using a full-matrix least square refinement on F2 and the refinement converged to R1=0.0233 and wR2=0.0544. This compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with space group Pbcn, lattice parameters a=10.381(2) Å, b=8.507(1) Å, c=16.568(3) Å and Z=4. The structure is made up of 3D [Zn5P4O16]n2n covalent framework consisting of [Zn4P4O16]n4n layers. The powder diffraction pattern of Na9Zn21(PO4)17 is explained by simulating a theoretical pattern with NaZnPO4 and Na2Zn5(PO4)4 in the molar ratio of 1:4 and then by Rietveld refinement of experimental pattern. Na2Zn5(PO4)4 melts congruently at 855 °C and its conductivity is 5.63×10−9 S/cm.  相似文献

Crystal structure of LiB3O5 (a framework of [B3O5] rings and Li atoms located in interspaces) was refined at high temperatures using single-crystal X-ray diffraction, MoKα-radiation, anharmonic approximation, orthorhombic; Pna21; Z=4; 20 °C (a=8.444, b=7.378, c=5.146 Å, 1411 F(hkl), R=0.022); 227 °C (a=8.616, b=7.433, c=5.063 Å, 1336 F(hkl), R=0.026), 377 °C (a=8.746, b=7.480, c=5.013 Å, 1193 F(hkl), R=0.035). A high mobility of Li atoms and their highly asymmetric vibrations are revealed. Ellipsoid of Li thermal vibrations is oviform. Li is shifted on heating to 0.26 Å mainly along a-axis causing high thermal expansion in this direction; Li temperature factors are multiplied by 4 on heating. Rigid boron-oxygen groups in LiB3O5 remain practically stable on heating similar to α-Na2B8O13 and α-CsB5O8. At the same time these groups rotate relative to each other like hinges leading to extremely anisotropic thermal expansion (αa=101, αb=31, αc=−71, αv=60×10−6 °C−1, 20-530 °C, HTXRPD data).  相似文献

Two new hydrated borates, Zn8[(BO3)3O2(OH)3] and Pb[B5O8(OH)]·1.5H2O, have been prepared by hydrothermal reactions at 170 °C. Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses showed that Zn8[(BO3)3O2(OH)3] crystallizes in a non-centrosymmetric space group R32 with a=8.006(2) Å, c=17.751(2) Å, Z=3 and Pb[B5O8(OH)]·1.5H2O in a triclinic space group P1¯ with a=6.656(2) Å, b=6.714(2) Å, c=10.701(2) Å, α=99.07(2)°, β=93.67(2)°, γ=118.87(1)°, Z=2. Zn8[(BO3)3O2(OH)3] represents a new structure type in which Zn-centered tetrahedra are connected via common vertices leading to helical ribbons 1[Zn8O15(OH)3]17− that pack side by side and are further condensed through sharing oxygen atoms to form a three-dimensional 3[Zn8O11(OH)3]9− framework. The boron atoms are incorporated into the channels in the framework to complete the final structure. Pb[B5O8(OH)]·1.5H2O is a layered compound containing double ring [B5O8(OH)]2− building units that share exocyclic oxygen atoms to form a two-dimensional layer. Symmetry-center-related layers are stacked along the c-axis and held together by interlayer Pb2+ ions and water molecules via electrostatic and hydrogen bonding interactions. The IR spectra further confirmed the existence of both triangular BO3 and OH groups in Zn8[(BO3)3O2(OH)3], and BO3, BO4, OH groups as well as guest water molecules in Pb[B5O8(OH)]·1.5H2O.  相似文献

The anhydrous salt K2B12F12 crystallized from aqueous solution and its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The Ni2In-type structure it exhibits is rare for an A2X ionic compound at 25 °C and 1 atm., consisting of an expanded hexagonal close-packed array of B12F122− centroids (cent?cent distances: 7.204-8.236 Å) with half of the K+ ions filling all of the Oh holes and half of the K+ ions filling all of the D3h trigonal holes in the close-packed layers that are midway between two “empty” Td holes. The structure is also unusual in that the bond-valence sum for the K+ ions in Oh holes is less than or equal to 0.73 (the bond-valence sum for the other type of K+ ion is 1.16). A variation of the Ni2In structure is exhibited by the previously published monohydrate Cs2(H2O)B12F12, for which an improved structure is also reported here. For K2B12F12: monoclinic, C2/c, a = 8.2072(8), b = 14.2818(7), c = 11.3441(9) Å, β = 92.832(5)°, Z = 4, T = 120(2) K. For Cs2(H2O)B12F12: orthorhombic, P212121, a = 9.7475(4), b = 10.2579(4), c = 15.0549(5) Å, Z = 4, T = 110(1) K.  相似文献

Three new compounds Ca(HF2)2, Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 and Pb2F2(HF2)(PF6) were obtained in the system metal(II) fluoride and anhydrous HF (aHF) acidified with excessive PF5. The obtained polymeric solids are slightly soluble in aHF and they crystallize out of their aHF solutions. Ca(HF2)2 was prepared by simply dissolving CaF2 in a neutral aHF. It represents the second known compound with homoleptic HF environment of the central atom besides Ba(H3F4)2. The compounds Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 and Pb2F2(HF2)(PF6) represent two additional examples of the formation of a polymeric zigzag ladder or ribbon composed of metal cation and fluoride anion (MF+)n besides PbF(AsF6), the first isolated compound with such zigzag ladder. The obtained new compounds were characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction method and partly by Raman spectroscopy. Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 crystallizes in a triclinic space group P1¯ with a=4.5870(2) Å, b=8.8327(3) Å, c=11.2489(3) Å, α=67.758(9)°, β=84.722(12), γ=78.283(12)°, V=413.00(3) Å3 at 200 K, Z=1 and R=0.0588. Pb2F2(HF2)(PF6) at 200 K: space group P1¯, a=4.5722(19) Å, b=4.763(2) Å, c=8.818(4) Å, α=86.967(10)°, β=76.774(10)°, γ=83.230(12)°, V=185.55(14) Å3, Z=1 and R=0.0937. Single crystals of new oxyborates, Mg5NbO3(BO3)3 and Mg5TaO3(BO3)3, were prepared at 1370 °C in air using B2O3 as a flux. They were colorless and transparent with block shapes. X-ray diffraction analysis of the single crystals revealed Mg5NbO3(BO3)3 and Mg5TaO3(BO3)3 to be isostructural. The X-ray diffraction reflections were indexed to the orthorhombic Pnma (No. 62) system with a=9.3682(3) Å, b=9.4344(2) Å, c=9.3379(3) Å and Z=4 for Mg5NbO3(BO3)3 and a=9.3702(3) Å, b=9.4415(3) Å, c=9.3301(2) Å and Z=4 for Mg5TaO3(BO3)3. The crystal structures of Mg5NbO3(BO3)3 and Mg5TaO3(BO3)3 are novel warwickite-type superstructures having ordered arrangements of Mg and Nb/Ta atoms. Polycrystals of Mg5NbO3(BO3)3 prepared by solid state reaction at 1200 °C in air showed broad blue-to-green emission with a peak wavelength of 470 nm under 270 nm ultraviolet excitation at room temperature.  相似文献
