Numerous substituted α‐aminophosphinates were synthesized by addition of alkyl and phenyl H‐phosphinates to aromatic imines and characterized. Reactions of dicyano compounds with a potassium selenocarboxylate afforded the corresponding cyanoselenoamides and diselenoamides in good yields of experimentally determined ratios. The obtained cyanoselenoamides were allowed to react with potassium selenocarboxylate, again to afford the corresponding diselenoamides in higher yields. Application of N,N‐dimethylhydrazone protective group for synthesis of C‐phosphorylated aldehydes of the pyrrole series was studied. Ammonium dialkyl phosphoroselenoates are directly converted into the dialkyl phosphoramidates by iodosobenzene and iodoxybenzene. The inversion of configuration at the phosphorus atom, using model diastereoisomeric ammonium cis‐ and trans‐2‐oxo‐2‐seleno‐4‐methyl‐1,3,2‐dioxaphosphinan system, was observed.
